Today I hate every thing and every one.

I hate my stupid stockings which ripped ten minutes after I left the house.

I hate work, which is driving me crazy with all the pressure. And my boss. I definitely hate my boss a little. He’s making my job a lot harder than it needs to be.

I hate my shoes because they were the wrong shoes for today. They would have been the right shoes if I was inside at my desk, with stockings… but I was outside, on my feet all day WITHOUT stockings. I ended up walking through the city barefoot to get home because the idea of going one more step in them made me want to cry.

(I didn’t. I hardly ever cry.)

I hate the Wolves too. HOW is it that the one day I WANTED to find someone with a car following me not a single shifter was in sight? Hm??

I hate stationary shopping, because carrying the bags back to work is heavy, and hard, and makes my feet hurt more.

I hate haircuts because the hairdresser gave me a weird choppy mullet thing, and now my hair isn’t super long any more. It looks strange around my face.

I hate my chin because I have spots.

I hate Christmas shopping because my family is stupid, and I don’t talk to them, but they send me gifts so I feel obliged to send them gifts, which is FUCKING HARD when you don’t know a thing about them, and are completely indifferent to their new partners.

(They both re-married… Or in my mum’s case, she’s about to get re-married, they’re only engaged at the moment.)

I hate book stores with coffee shops, because the employees don’t know how the fuck to find the book you want, instead they want to tell you all about the free wi-fi, and awesome muffins.

I hate kitty litter because it stinks.

I hate rubbish day.

I hate grocery shopping without a car.

I hate my credit card bill.

I hate the way my bedroom curtains don’t shut all the way. There’s a tiny one inch gap, and it makes me want to scream.

I hate the fucking way that I can’t just do my hours at work and then get on with my day, instead I have to go back and work late, then take work home.

I hate the color Red. Also the way the deli lady says ‘Fifty.’ Fidy is not a word. LEARN ENGLISH.

I hate fucking EVERYTHING today. And now I have to go do some more FUCKING work instead of sleeping.

Needless to say: I did not get laid the other night. Instead Ran came over and apologised for deceiving me. I was all ‘You know what? I’m going to throw this back in your face every time we fight, or I suspect you’re lying, but I think you did the right thing in this situation. Maybe.’

And he gave this big sigh of relief, and all the tension in him just kinda drained out, and he hauled me into a big bear hug.

(Actually it was probably just a normal hug, but he has big shoulders, so when he hugs, it feels like you’re just enfolded in warm snuggliness – exactly like a bear hug.)

(I’ve just realised that that’s what I want right now. A really big bear hug.)

Then, just as we’re both relaxing into each other and I’m beginning to think about how good he smells, his FUCKING phone rings, and what do you know, the FUCKING Pack has imploded.

Maybe saying that it’s imploded is over-exaggerating, it was more a case of some idiot young males trying to take over a section of the Pack through force – ie: a big fucking fight.

Two of the shit-heads are in hospital, which I’m fine with because they brought it on themselves, but they also hurt a couple of innocent (pack) bystanders by trying to intimidate them into submitting*.

Tiny was very nearly one of them – lucky Andre was with her, and managed to keep her safe, and  stop the dickweeds from doing too much damage.

So? Ran had to go, and he took me along for the learning experience. It was a long stupid brutal night spent physically checking up on the ENTIRE Pack, and visiting the hospital, and holding secret squirrel meetings.

Then, at the crack of dawn I got home, just in time to change into work clothes and drag my carcass out of the house again.

There was no sex, and no sleep.

And that’s probably why I hate everything today.

Heis back… Alan Tudyk vuelve a encarnar el papel de Alpha en Dollhouse.No sé si abré hablado ya de Alan Tudyk,me devoción por él y mi devación por Alpha.Me encanta.Me encanta el actor,me encnata el personaje…todo.Y lo bueno esque está de vuelta ^^.Así es en el 2º capítulo del día 11 de Noviembre,volveremos a ver a Alpha en pantalla.Según parece en el capítulo ocho de la segunda temporada,todos los compromisos románticos de Echo aparecen asesinados,todo el mundo apunta a que el culpable es Alpha.Como ya vimos en la primera temporada,él está obsesionado con Echo.La secuestró y todo eso para convertirla en alguien como él,habrá que esperar unas semanas para ver lo que se trae entre manos Alpha.

El actor está ahora mismo ocupado en la serie “V” y sólo podías participar en la serie en unos pocos capítulos (como Amy Acker) pero todavía no sabemos cuanto tiempo podrá estar en Dollhouse.Esperemos que en más de un capítulo ^^

When was the last time you’ve heard of a new musical instrument? I just stumbled upon an amazing new electronic instrument called the Eigenharp (through Tim’s Encosion blog). It’s made by Eigenlabs in the UK and comes in 2 versions, the Alpha and the Pico (the smaller version of the Apha).

It took a bit of research to figure out exactly what the Eigenharp does, but it turned out more along the lines of “What does it not do?”. From their website: “A professional level instrument which allows the musician to play and improvise using a limitless range of sounds with virtuoso skill. The unique design of the keys makes this the most expressive electronic musical instrument ever made. The Alpha can play and record loops, change scale and key, transpose, alter tempo, program beats, create arrangements, switch and layer multiple sounds, all while the musician is performing live on stage”.

Winona is a ghost town again.  Sometimes it’s called “summer”.  It’s worse than summer now, though.  At least it’s green, warm, and the sun doesn’t go down at 4 in the afternoon.  A person just feels limited if they can’t go outside and enjoy the day past 4PM.

This Thanksgiving holiday will be plenty of time to definitely maybe start writing the movie again.  It’s priority number 5 behind researching stereotyping in advertising, finishing up my portfolio for advertising, painting some stuff I’m a bit behind on, and creating a webpage for my internet com class.

I’m looking forward to seeing some family members I haven’t seen in a long while.  You know, those family members you only see 2-4 times a year.  They’re the ones I actually look forward to seeing.  I highly doubt the family members I could care less about seeing know how to operate computers.

What’s that?  Bloody Mary’s you say?  Why yes, I believe I’ll have 3.  At twin cities prices though.  I just hope we don’t run into that prick of a bartender that looked like a skinnier Jon Gosselin, but was still just as big of a douche bag.  If you don’t want a 5% tip or less, then I suggest smiling at the very least, and not looking so deliberately disinterested.  And I wonder how those people are hired for jobs before me….?  Someone please tell me if my fly is down or if I, for some reason, have a swastika on my cheek next time I go in for an interview, please.

Es lohnt sich wirklich mal reinzuschnuppern und die eine oder andere neue Funktion zu testen (zB Volume bei den Materialien).

Bedenkt aber das es sich hierbei um eine Sehr frühe Version handelt und noch nicht alle Features enthalten sind.  Außerdem kann es noch zu Fehlern und Abstürzen kommen.

Ich teste jetzt ersteinmal die neue Version und werde in den nächsten Tagen das eine oder andere zum neuen Interface schreiben.

Ich fotografiere ja schon seit geraumer Zeit digital. Anfangs noch ohne echte Spiegelreflexkamera, dann mit meiner guten Sony Alpha 100.
Naja, wie das so manchmal ist, man möchte sich belohnen. Gern hätte ich eine Kamera mit schwenkbarem Display gehabt und natürlich sollte es bezahlbar bleiben. Das es wieder eine Sony werden musste, brauche ich ja nicht zu erwähnen, oder?

So belohnte ich mich also für meine geleisteten Überstunden mit einer neuen Kamera. Die Sony Alpha 330.
Schon ein tolles Gefühl, zu sehen, wofür man sich abgerackert hat, so hat es zwar ein wenig gedauert, aber dafür ist sie auch mein, wenn ihr wisst, was ich meine…

Egal, sie macht in der Kombination mit meinem Tamron Objektiv gute Bilder und der Autofukus ist blitzschnell. Das schwenkbare Display ist so, wie ich es mir gewünscht habe und mein Sun-Sniper Strap (getestet und danach behalten – Mein Dank nochmal an die Zeitung Photographie und Sun-Sniper) ist durch die leichtere Kamera nochmal so komfortabel.

My day started off with Pho.  When a day starts off with the right food, my mood is just set for the rest of the day.  I think this is why when I get into the mood to bake/cook, I do it all out.  Speaking of which, the past three days have been filled with me cooking and it’s made me realize how much I do enjoy it.

However, yesterday my night ended on a good note.  I pretty much went to sleep talking with friends on Skype.  And this was after having my first party with Japanese friends this school year.  And we cooked katsu curry, curry with breaded pork on top, and it was fantastic.  The company was good, and I think I haven’t had this much fun in a long while.

Anyway, after Pho, I went to go see This Is It.  We were a little late into the theater, but it’s a concert documentary…Seriously.  It was really good!  When Michael started singing his Jackson 5 songs I almost started to cry.  And when the sound of “I’ll Be There” started, that was the moment I realized that the great Michael Jackson was truly gone.  It was really almost surreal, like having him back, watching This Is It.  And it has more of a concert feel which was really cool.  I would have liked to see more of the finalized performances though, and I hope that we get to see some of MJ’s completed outfits, they were supposed to be out of this world.

After that I met up with my friend Megan to make dinner.  We decided upon yakisoba, and then tried to make a beverage called “coffee nog.”  It was amazing.  If you’re interested, here’s the recipe (course it can be changed based on your taste):

• 4oz coffee
• 4oz egg nog
• 1-2 shots Irish creme, brandy, rum

Then you can add whipped creme and cinnamon or nutmeg.  You heat up the egg nogg, but make sure it doesn’t reach a boil, then add the coffee into it, and then turn off the stove and add the Irish creme (if you want the liqueur in there, that is).

Our yakisoba was also amazing.  If there’s one thing I know how to do well, it’s yakisoba.

But it was great to catch up with Megan, I hadn’t seen her since the end of summer when a group of us, way back in freshman year in our dorm Alpha, all got together in Seattle.  We used to cook together all the time last year, so it was fun to get back into it while she visits here.  Eventually our friend Erin joined us, and the three of us discussed boys, Glee, mash-ups, and friends.

I’m so glad that my friend groups are finally meeting and getting along.  Erin was a friend from high school, and Megan is now one of my best friends from all our time spent in Alpha.  Now that we’re getting older, I’m so glad that I’ve met these people and have them in my life.

So seeing as how it’s almost Thanksgiving I am thankful for being placed in Alpha all of four years ago meeting some of my best friends.  I am thankful for having the chance to study abroad in Japan.  And I am thankful for not smelling like sausage.  Do you enjoy how my blog started of with food, and now is ending with food?  Can’t you tell what I think about more than half the time? ;]

Mas tarde o mas temprano, todos hemos tenido la necesidad de sentirnos aceptado en algún grupo. Es una necesidad que viene incluida en el pack de la adolescencia y que nos obliga a comportarnos igual o parecido a los demás. Imitamos formas de vestir, comportamientos, reacciones, incluso frases, no de nuestros ídolos (Hanna Montana), sino de cualquier gilipollas que nos parece guay dentro del grupo.

Este gilipollas que a todo el mundo le parece guay, le contagia su gilipollez a todo niñato que le rodea y aquí es donde comienza lo que la gente culta denomina tribu urbana.

En la época de nacimiento de Maria Isabel solo podíamos decidirnos por 3 posibles tribus, los hevyatas, los rapers o b-boys y los pelonchos o pelaos.

Si te decidías por los hevyatas, estabas condenado a que tu madre pensara que eras un yonki desde el primer día, tenias que oler mal, llevar siempre la misma “chupa” y daba mucho palo.

Los rapers habían tenido su momento gracias al Principe de Bel-Air. Además en el momento que me tocaba decidir ya estaban pasados de moda y su música era un puto rollo. Yo tampoco es que sea muy alto y eso de tener que llevar los pantalones super-anchos y encima bajos, conseguía en mi un efecto “el hombre sin piernas” o el “Sr.Patata” que no me convenía nada para ligotear. Por suerte me quedaba la tribu perfecta para mi: Los pelonchos.
La moda peloncha, incluía tallas increíblemente pequeñas. Lo mas molón era llevar los bolsillos de la chaqueta en la “sobaca”. Tener los bolsillos a esta altura era perfecto, ya que al meter tus manos conseguías parecer una gallina sin esfuerzo. En esa época llegué a ver tios de 2 metros que llevaban una talla S de chaqueta, insuperable.
Por otro lado, los pantalones se tenían que llevar estilo pescador, por si llovía por la calle o algo así. Esto también era de puta madre, porque los pantalones los hacían especialmente cortos.

Así que, venga, mama, a comprar a la tienda ropita de pelonchete. Lo primero pantalones Levi’s 501 que costaban un pastizal, pero cualquier otro pantalón era de perdedor.
Lo siguiente polo de Fred-Perry. Ole los wuebos del señor Fred-Perry que va el tío y pone banderas españolas y todo en el cuello de los polos, con un par. Por cierto otro pastizal en dos polos, uno con la banderita y otro sin.
Ahora solo queda la chaqueta, una Alpha claro, si llevas otra son capaces de escupirte por la calle. Juer que pastizal!!! Pero a pagar que eso de robarla es de tío mu chungo.

Ya está, ya tenemos el uniforme ahora a ser todos colegas, que todo el mundo va igual, ya nos plantearemos mañana si eso de ser nazi mola o no. Por ahora todos los negros son unos cabrones y Viva España que es lo que mola.
En poco tiempo todos tus colegas son pelonchos y les gusta la música máquina así que todos al CHASIS, que es la disco de moda y donde matan mas gente.
Como eres un niñato y no tienes coche ni moto toca ir por la tarde. Pues ala, cojemos el Bono-Chasis que es un billete que incluye el tren y la entrada de la discoteca. Joder como mola.

Entramos en la discoteca y es un bar con una serpiente en la puerta. Todas las consumiciones en el suelo y un montón de peña con una botella de agua en la mano y con pinta de jiraos. O sea hasta las orejas de pastillas. Al pedirnos los cubatas, porque somos wais, ya nos miran unos cuantos con cara de estar rifando una paliza.
Primera norma del peloncho, no mires a otro peloncho si no estas dispuesto a romperte los dientes con el, así que a mirar para otro lado y a irse a otra esquina del bar-discoteca.

Una vez superada la primera prueba toca irse a la pista cumpliendo la sengunda regla del peloncho, no empujes a otro peloncho si no estás dispuesto a romperte los dientes con el. Así que venga a bailar con el culito apretao evitando cualquier roce innecesario.
En esta disco, no importaba la calidad de la música si no lo alta que estuviera, por esta razón estábamos constantemente rodeados de altavoces (solo faltaban en el suelo), cosa que provocaba una sordera brutal al salir y la prolongación del pitido post-fiesta durante dos días.

Tercera norma del peloncho, no se va un local lleno de pelonchos si no estas dispuesto a romperte los dientes con alguno. A lo largo de la tarde te empiezas a dar cuenta de que tu grupo (pijin) cada vez tiene mas números del sorteo de ostias y puede que merezca la pena una retirada con todas tus piezas dentales. Toca coger el camino, ya que si no serás parte de las batallitas de todos esos cabrones que están deseando contarle el lunes a sus colegas que le dieron una paliza a unos pringaos … nosotros.

Supongo que este buen rollito provocó que todos mis colegas en cuestión de un año pasaran de peloncho a perro-flauta de marina. Lo malo es que a mi, a diferencia de los demás, si me gustaba el maquineo aunque no estuviera de acuerdo con la forma de pensar de aquellos cutre-nazis. La única música que me gustaba estaba relacionada con ellos, así que me tocó buscarme la vida para sobrevivir entre esos hijosdeputa. Como sobreviví, ya es otra historia.

Mittlerweile ist auch schon klar, das es heute leider nichts mehr wird, sondern erst morgen.

Ich habe bisher immer wieder mal bei den auf Graphicall.org angebotenen 2.50er Versionen reingeschnuppert und freue mich schon lange auf das neue Blender. Besonders freue ich mich auf die neue Oberfläche, da sie Neulingen (hoffentlich) den Einstieg in Blender vereinfachen und nicht mehr ganz so abschreckend wirken wird.

Sobald die Version offiziell veröffentlicht wurde, werde ich mich hier etwas mehr damit beschäftigen und die neue Oberfläche vorstellen.

Your smile is the most important and easiest physiological change that you can make to give a good impression on others, especially women.  The results you get from doing something so simple will absolutely blow your mind.  This is why this is the first article on Alpha Allure. I can’t stress enough how easy and important the smile is.

Most people do not smile, so if you are in the habit of smiling you will automatically stand out from the crowd in a positive way.  If you ever want to attract a woman, being unique and different from “the herd” is one of the best ways to do it.  Smiling is a huge step in that direction.

When you smile, it conveys to other people you are happy and that your life is really good (even if it isn’t).  Smiling actually can change your biochemistry and make you happy.   No matter how bad a day you are having, you can force yourself to smile and your mood will instantly change.  There is the saying, “people want to be part of a party, not a pity” and if you are smiling all the time, people will think that your life is a party and they will naturally be attracted to you and your positive energy.  On the flip side, “misery loves company” so if you are smiling and happy, you can easily avoid the people who are angry, sad and have a negative energy.  This will help you to be discerning about what people you associate with.

Smiling can improve your health.  When you feel good emotionally (which is your body’s natural state) your body responds positively.  People who are always frowning, or sad, or angry usually are not in the best of health.  This creates stress in the body which leads to disease.  So smile and expect to live longer and better.

Trust is one of the most important things you need to establish with a woman.  If you don’t have trust, I don’t care how sexy you are, you won’t get anywhere with them.  Trust is huge to women.  So how can you start to establish trust without saying a word?  Smiling.  How’d you guess ?  When someone smiles it is much easier to trust them.  Would you trust a stranger who was staring angrily at you?  No!  So the opposite would have opposite results.

These are just a few of the benefits received from smiling.  If you begin to make smiling a habit amazing things will happen in your life, so I suggest you get to it.  Try it, right now!

Exercises:

1.  Start smiling everywhere you go.  EVERYWHERE WITHOUT FAIL.   To the mailbox, to the store, to the bank and especially in social settings like parties, nightlife etc.  Take notice of how many girls make eye contact with you and reciprocate a smile back to you.

2.  At home, look in the mirror and watch yourself smile and notice the way it affects your body and attitude.  Do you feel better?  Were a little more happy?  Start to become in tune to these subtle changes because it will benefit you later when we discuss the power of the mind.

3.  Make sure your smile is a subtle smile.  You just want a nice casual smile not a huge grin.  Smiling too big can make you look ridiculous, so easy does it.

It’s been fairly hectic over the last few days, I disappeared to the mobile receptionless depths of east Sussex for our church’s Alpha weekend away.

It was largely a really positive time, God was clearly doing some exciting things in people’s lives and that was a real pleasure to see. On occasions though, I found it a little hard being a leader, it sometimes seemed I was slightly disconnected from what God was doing. Making sure other people were being prayed with and continuing my role of providing a little extra rhythm to the worship, left me feeling a little distant from just receiving from God. But a wise friend said that God sometimes seems to afford us a little extra ‘clarity’ when we’re in the role of ministering, so that we can keep an eye out and be alert. After events later that day, I think this proved to be true.

We made it home from the weekend in time for the evening service and I’m glad I didn’t bail in favour of an evening in front of Top Gear.

I came to a place of feeling quite empty during the service, but a truth dawned on me, I’ve been shopping at other Supermarkets. Obscure, yes, but hang in there. I began to realise that I had been lost in idol worship over the last few weeks, going to the telly, or a friend, or food for comfort and re-energising, rather than coming to JC Maxx. Yes, friends, telly and food are good things, but they aren’t the total solution and can never fully satisfy, God really is the best resource and when I finally realised that I’d been shopping elsewhere, He totally met me last night and it was rather inspirational.

Very exciting.

On a  side note, James Bond’s ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ is really much more amusing than you ever remembered. Innundated with innuendo I can’t quite believe this slipped under the radar for general PG viewing, but watched with a symbiotic comedy partner and with the freedom to add your own commentry, this film can definitely provide a hilarious night in.

Mit 3:2 unterlag man verdient dem nicht sonderlich besser spielenden Team aus Wilhelmshorst, die nun ihren gefestigten zweiten Platz unter dem Tannenbaum feiern können. Spiele des TSV Potsdam scheinen so langsam zur Farce zu werden. Jugendclub Alpha gewann das Spiel gegen den Türkischen Sport Verein per 3:0 Wertung. Die restlichen Ergebnisse:

Well I had a freaking amazing time in Raro… There were a few times on the beach where I was lying there thinking about the Awful Event, that dead werewolf, Ran grabbing me, and generally worrying about the Pack, and whether I could take on leading the pack….

Then I’d open my eyes again and see clear blue sky, blindingly white sand, and that ridiculously clear turquoise lagoon… And I’d decided that living in the moment is always the best idea.

Coming back was a bit hard though.

Holidays are easy and fun… Real life kind of sucks a bit.

On the day of my flight home the Alpha for the village I was staying in came over to have a chat with me. When I saw him earlier in the holiday I had politely told him that I wanted a break from Shifter crap. (I know, I was surprised I was still capable of politeness too.)

Anyway, he graciously allowed me to go on my merry way without bothering with the intricacies of Pack diplomacy. (There are a lot of traditions and conventions involved in being in someone else’s territory, Tiny and I had a chat about it before I left.)

But on the last day I was ready to face the realities of real life, so when he showed up to make sure I’d enjoyed my stay and had no issues with his Pack I invited him for lunch and took the time to quiz him on being Alpha and being wolf, and customs ect…

I gotta say, without going into too much boring detail, the entire culture is different, and some parts I like, some I don’t so much, but it all makes a lot of sense to me when I remember the context of the Islands, and the history, and the people. In Rarotonga people (and Pack) generally are easygoing, social, and very very relaxed…

I probably wouldn’t have gotten away with telling any other Pack in any other country to bugger off and leave me alone to have a holiday. BUT in Rarotonga I did because that’s just the way the people work there.

On the other side of the coin though, they probably thought I was rude, but that’s a forgivable offense I guess.

They do have a system of Chiefdoms and traditional titles and stuff in every day life and history, and a strong culture of respect for elders, and leaders, so I learnt some interesting things about leadership… I also learnt some cool stuff about diplomacy – he was telling me all about how they keep in touch with other Cook Island Packs.

There’s only one other Pack on Rarotonga (Both are mixed, but predominantly medium-sized semi-domesticated type dogs) and he told me about a lot of the stuff they do to make sure there’s no infighting ect…

It was all really interesting.

So after the Alpha and I finished lunch, I said goodbye to all the dogs I’d collected (sigh) and returned my mountain bike and snorkeling gear, and then went down to beach to get one last look.

Then I caught the shuttle to the airport and spent over two hours standing in various queues. The standing in queues bit was about when I started to realise that the ‘wee cold’ that I had was actually more of a raging headcold, and that I was woefully short on painkillers (which Tiny and Doc have told me are really big no-no’s for Shifters anyway), tissues, and time to go shift.

By the time I had boarded the plane I had a tiny (inadequate) packet of travel tissues from someone’s Nana, and a very strong desire to go hang out in the toilets and Shift from wolf and back ten times in a row.

Naturally I didn’t.

Instead I bugged the flight attendants for tissues, and endured a pretty rough decent back into the country. My sinuses and ears were blocked up in a big way, so I couldn’t equalize, and I ended up taking a few aspirin, hopefully to take down any swelling, and help me unblock.

When I got back I had a connecting flight to get back to the city, but I ducked out long enough to call Doc and make sure aspirin wasn’t going to make me die.

His (woefully unreassuring) opinion:

Doc: Well you’ve taken it now haven’t you. There’s not much I can do from here.

Ayla: Riiiight. So I probably won’t die then? Should I get on the plane, or should I see if I can re-schedule?

Doc: If the pain isn’t too bad catch the plane home, it won’t cause any damage it’ll just be pretty uncomfortable. I’ll drop some medication in your mailbox in the next hour for you when you get home – don’t take anything you can buy over the counter, lots of it doesn’t work the way it should with our systems. Also, don’t whatever you do shift. Give it at least 7 days, just to be sure the aspirin’s out of your system before you Shift.

Ayla: THAT long?? My ears hurt. And my head hurts.

Doc: By all means shift then. It’s not like I know what I’m talking about… I’ve only been doing this for ten years now.

Ayla: You suck.

Doc: And you are pig headed and stubborn. I did tell you to stay away from pain killers. Now go catch the plane. It’s nearly midnight and I need to make a house call to your letterbox before I can get any sleep.

So I caught the plane home, and it was short and sweet and owie.

Needless to say I was pretty grumpy when I got in. It was well after midnight, I was all sweaty and grubby with plane germs, cold and sick, with sore ears and a serious meat deprivation. I looked so angry and pissed off that three separate security guards tailed me, and I got pulled aside at EVERY fucking metal detector/ security screaning area.

I kinda wanted to scream at them all and tell them that it’s pointless to screen people AFTER they get OFF the plane. What’s the worst that could happen? They find out that I’ve stolen a safety briefing card? Or that I’ve stuffed the airlines useless stupid movie headphones down my pants?

Andre was at the airport, and because it was just a domestic flight he was hanging out at the baggage claim, and had already grabbed my (teeny tiny) suitcase.

He asked if that was it and I mostly had to lipread because my ears felt like they were stuffed full of cotton. And mucus.

I nodded and he ruffled up my hair (just to see if he could get me to bite him in public?) and gave me a lift home. Doc, true to his (grumpy) word had left some awesome cold killers in my letterbox, and Rumplestiltskin was absolutely over the freaking moon to see me. Also? HUGE.

I don’t know what they hell Andre fed him while I was away but the fluffy wee kitten I left behind in now an almost-adolescent  with quite big paws and long legs. He’s still skinny, but judging by his age, I’d say he’s going to be a large cat when he’s done growing… And if he continues at the speed he’s going he’ll end up somewhere in the weight range of a small tiger.

(Or possibly not… domestic kitties don’t get that big I guess. And the size thing is probably just more of a case of me seeing him with fresh eyes.)

Yeah… So after that I took some meds, posted a million pictures here, and on facebook, and slept for a day and a bit. Bliss!

The rest of the Pack have held off busting down my door, but I’m guessing Ran will be by in the next few days, closely followed by Tiny.

I’m putting money on the fact that she’s waiting to see whether I kill Ran – or attempt to – before she ventures close enough to get bitten. Luckily for them both I have decided that Ran did what he needed to as a responsible Alpha (even if he’s not my Alpha) to protect his Pack, and other Packs that he has links with.

Therefore the worst I’ll do is kick his ass a little for not telling me. (Even though – I think we all know – if he’d told me before he found the guy I would have yeeled, and screamed, and possibly run away to hide.)

(I am Alya, therefore may be as contrary as I like. So there.)

Another day with a decent amount of tweaks and updates..

Extra Lives now display a little text when you pick them up, making it immediately known to you that you picked up an extra life.

Timer mode now resets to 300 seconds everytime you switch a level or you die (effectively giving you 300 seconds for every attempt you do at completing a level…)

Ended up spending most of the morning trying to figure out why the bloody Timer mode refused to reset on level 3 but worked fine on lvl 1 and 2… made absolutely no sense… and ultimately I didnt find out why.. But I did get it fixed… go figure

Hi All…

Just a quickie Have been out all day, went on a train trip to visit my dad, and I brought my laptop and my usual drawing gear

Ended up with my laptop in my dad’s livingroom, working on the game, doing some programming and concept art on my own laptop, while Mette, my dad’s wife, sat next to me on her laptop playing the very game I was working on

Quite a different experience, but a very entertaining one, as my programming would occasionally be interrupted by outbursts from Mette, complaining about the little guy’s ability to follow her commands! or cursing at herself for running into firetraps ;D

Oh, and in the train I was fiddling with a different little idea for something I might make another day. no screenshots yet, but its basically a physics/gravity type game with a playfield, a ball, and you in control of the playfield, and your goal is to manipulate the playfield by tilting it horizontally and vertically to make the ball roll in a desired direction towards whatever the goal is for the map.

yes, its been seen tons and tons before… But its a learning experience for me none the less
