I bought a candle plate some time ago, lovely brown color with a shimmery backdrop. After some time I wanted to clean it – but the brown color came off! So I started to think about how to alter it, because I thought that silver backdrop was a bit too shiny.

Alcohol Inks, and some pictures printed from internet, and Liquid Laminate from Beacon was my solution, and I think it turned out nice!

The beautiful ladies can be printed from Digital Collage Sheets / The Ladies Closet.

tecnica usata:
per fare i raggi ho delimitato le zone da spruzzare una alla volta con del cartoncino di recupero bello spesso e così mi sono creata i raggi in modo molto semplice senza stare a misurare o tirare righe precise.. ;P

Invece per il fantastico concorso MM lanciato dalla mia socia Illy ho preparato una busta alterata

è una di quelle buste che usano all’ipercoop per contenere le foto che mandi a sviluppare, visto che me ne ritrovo un’infinità e le dimensioni mi piacciono ho pensato di trasformarla un po’!!

ho fatto il mio bel collage di ritagli di carte usando il medium opaco

poi ho dato delle spugnate di gesso in giro per amalgamare un po’ lo sfondo variegato

e infine son passata a sporcare qua e là con un fazzolettino sporco di Distress Ink rosa

in realtà so che non è ancora finito del tutto, manca qualcosa, ma non so ancora cosa ci voglio aggiungere, quindi mentre aspetto l’ispirazione giusta partecipo al concorso con questo lavoro incompiuto ;P

Apparently I have enough time to update my post tag list, nothing new in the land of N yet, trying to figure out how I’m going to interlink all of my story’s into movuies and stuff.

I’m a day late… and a few dollars short!! Monday the kids took a bath in our guest bathroom, and I discovered a leak. Several actually. Long story short, we’ve been working with the warranty company and plumbers to see how we can get it fixed so it’s been a busy week. I do have something to make up for it however.

I altered this little jar to fill with candy as an extra little gift for someone on Christmas. It’s really hard to photograph the effect Glimmer Mists really does on here.  It’s more sparkly sheer versus the opaque white that is showing in this photo.

Summertime Layout

this kit is so versatile – it works just as well for Christmas and Beach projects!

This is a very easy project. It is a bit time consuming but when you are done you will have a gorgeous tree.

You will need:

Styrofoam tree whatever size you like (I got mine at Michaels)
Scissors
Pins & about 6 decorative pins for the top row
coordinating ribbon

The first thing you need to do is to cut your ribbon into strips about 2 – 2 1/2 inches in length. I cut as I went so I didn’t have left overs.

Next what you want to do is to fold the ribbon in half and use the pin to place it on your tree like this:

Then you continue all the way along the bottom:

For the next row you place your ribbon up a bit making sure to cover the pins. You can vary the placement depending on how “full” you want your tree.

Continue all the way up your tree. On the final row you want to use decroative pins because these will show. I left the top of my tree like that but you could use a star to top it or buttons.

I cannot believe I let an entire month go by with out posting something.  So here is an image that I had worked on earlier and never got around to posting.

I LOVE this kit and have several more projects to post, but thanks to Tropical Storm Ida, can’t get pictures taken. So there will be more coming soon. Or as soon as it stops raining! (Click on above image to purchase this kit)
