<p>Atlantic Muscle athlete Julia Howard Kawamoto (aka Jules 406 or just <strong><em>406</em></strong> for short &#8211; has it caught on yet?) has been training hard, eating well, and getting the required rest to ensure she reaches the 4 minute 6 second mark she seeks as part of her quest to compete in the 2012 Olympics in the 1500m.</p>
<p>On March 24th, Julia ran 1500m in 4:21:08 to finish first at the Arizona State Invite. Not a bad start to the racing season!</p>
<p>April 7th saw Julia improve upon her time by finishing in 4th place at the Sun Angel Track Classic held in Arizona with a time of 4:19.</p>
<p>May 18th brought Julia another step closer to 4:06 as she ran at the Occidental College High Performance Meet in Los Angeles, finishing 4th place with a time of 4:15.4. She followed this up a 1st place finish in Tempe on May 21st.</p>
<p><strong><em>406</em></strong> is in the best shape she has ever been in and with her continued training at altitude camp in Flagstaff, Arizona she is bound to keep knocking seconds off of her 1500m on her way to reaching 4:06.</p>
<p>Visit Julia’s site (<a href="http://rantandroarrunning.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Rant and Roar Running</a>) to help Julia reach her goal of joining the Olympic team.</p>
