The first Macross Frontier movie is out in Japan, released 11/21/09!  Bandai is making the toys.  No Yamato’s yet, unfortunately.  Today, we’re going to have a look at the 1/60-scale  DX Chogokin VF-25F Super Messiah Valkyrie Alto Custom!

CollectionDX and Wizartar have some great reviews on the 1/60 DX Chogokin line of Bandai Macross Frontier toys.  This one has the color scheme from the movie, Macross Frontier:  The False Songstress.  In my opinion, the toy looks great!  However, it does have some flaws.  First, it’s not as “tight” as the Yamato valkyries.  By “not tight”, I mean, the plastic pieces don’t quite fit as nicely as the pieces on the Yamato.  The plastic pieces hinges tend to be loose, especially the plastic pieces that allow you to fold the small fin on the leg into the calf.  The laser antenna on the head are also made of a soft plastic, and on my toy, one of the antenna is crooked (bends in an arc).

One difference between the VF-25F and the Yamato 1/60 valkyries is that the Alto pilot figure is not removable, whereas in all the Yamato valkyries, the pilot is removable.

The armor and boosters really make the valkyrie in fighter mode look great from the rear:

How does the VF-25F compare with a 1/60 Yamato valkyrie?  Well, the VF-25F is longer and wider:

Also notice that the VF-25F’s gunpod is longer and skinnier than the VF-1J’s. In addition, the VF-25F’s gunpod is made of a softer plastic.  The Yamato gunpod definitely feels more solid.

I really wonder how much effort Yamato put into making the second-generation 1/60 valkyries “tight”.  Everything fits together close and tight on a Yamato–the landing gear doors, the legs, the arms, and the missiles.  Shake a 1/60 Yamato valkyrie, and you won’t hear anything rattling, except if you have the gunpod mounted to the arm(s).  Shake the VF-25F, and you’ll hear something rattling.

Pois é, pensando que vão ganhar alguma coisa (não conseguiram nem sequer derrotar o Corinthians este ano), já tão até vendendo camisetas com o dizer de 7+3+3.

Tirem o cavalinho da chuva, alias, o salto alto. Obviamente esta camisa não é oficial, e sim obra de algum torcedor babaca. O fato é que se querem realmente homenagear o clube, deveriam apenas mudar um sinal na camisa, observem:

The Suzuki Wagon R seams to have endured almost evey styling to come out of Japan and around the world including VIP, Vaning stlye, Kyuusha, “Bosozoku”, Euro, Sex Spec, Rat rod, Race Spec, a combination of a few of them in one car and now USDM

Now USDM seams like a strange concept, the first I learned of it seamed to be Japanese guys taking older Hondas and running uncoloured coded bumper bars (generally black), nose bra’s and USDM looking wheels, low with camber and sometimes roof racks as well.

This one seams to follow those lines with this older Wagon R (think 2nd generation), notice the deliberate use of the orange colored parkers, white with black bumpers which the front bar seams to be an after market one while the rear is standard and 15” non dished rims with small tyres (165/45 R15’s)

Notice the rear window wiper and water squatter have been deleted.

Now this one is a personal favourite, following pretty much the same styling guide line as the two above this Wagon R is running what looks like newer Toyota corolla standard 15” rims painted black. They are 15×6? with the same small tyres and are 4×100 stud pattern. I love this idea of using standard issue rims from a larger car on a small Kei car which most of the time (depending on what style your going for of corse)

Here’s the same car with the rims unpainted. He could of changed the Toyota badge I think…

BRUXELLES (Reuters) – Per la carica di Alto rappresentante per la politica estera dell’Unione europea l’Italia giocherà la sua partita istituzionale senza fare distinguo sui nomi dei candidati, siano essi parte della maggioranza o dell’opposizione, ora che tra le file dei socialisti circola anche il nome dell’ex presidente del Consiglio italiano Massimo D’Alema.

“L’Italia è sempre orgogliosa quando un italiano è in corsa per cariche importanti”, ha aggiunto a margine il titolare della Farnesina, specificando che su un eventuale appoggio dell’Italia a D’Alema “la politica non si fa con i se”.

Il nome di D’Alema è emerso ieri sera, insieme con quelli del ministro degli Esteri britannico David Milliband e del rumeno Adrian Severin, durante il prevertice dei socialisti che si è svolto ieri pomeriggio a Bruxelles, secondo quanto riferito da fonti greche e inglesi.

La carica di Alto rappresentanto infatti fonderebbe quelle di Alto rappresentante per la politica estera e di sicurezza comune e quella di commissario Affari esteri, e sarebbe parte della Commissione con la qualifica di vicepresidente.

Maruti Suzuki A-Star known outside India as Suzuki Alto, has a new mileage record to its credit. The car has successfully completed a mileage marathon in Australia. And achieved a record, a mileage figure of 25km/l overall. The car had a remarkable mileage of 50km/l in city. And these numbers helped the car to become the most fuel efficient car among all the vehicles that took part in the marathon.

The marathon, Global Green Challenge, ran from Darwin to Adelaide in Australia. The competition was between conventional and alternative fuel cars in a 3,040km real world test. The winner of the challenge was the vehicle judged to have recorded the biggest progress over its official fuel burning figure. The ‘Light’ and ‘Small’ car categories were won by the Suzuki Alto. It also topped the ‘Best urban cycle’ category.

The Maruti Suzuki A-Star utilizes a simple combination of aerodynamic efficiency, lightweight design, and a small and efficient 1.0-litre petrol engine.

Just returned from a great family holiday at Alto Club in Alvor Portugal. The resort has everything a family could want with fantastic beaches, great resteraunts and amazing golf courses nearby.

At alto club there is an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, snooker room, gymnasium, table tennis, putting green and beautifully maintained gardens with walkways throughout the resort.

I  think the thing our family likes most about this resort is that the self catered apartments feel like home from home, they are spacious with lounge, dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and large balcony. There are also larger villas available but for a family of 4 the apartments are perfect.

The town centre of Alvor is just a short walk away from alto club . Traditionally a fishing village, Alvor has grown over the last 40 years but rather than shooting upwards it has spread outwards. It still maintains it’s fishing village charm and boasts some of the most amazing Seafood resteraunts in the Algarve.

The Beaches are just a short walk away: We would recommend a visit to the Tres Irmaos beach – it is an extension of the main beach at Alvor but has a totally different atmosphere with the most amazing rock formations and coves. In total the beach at Alvor is around 3km long so there is always plenty of space even in the height of summer.

Finally it happened. 4 years of driving and just when i was going to crown myself the safest driver on earth (or atleast in my family), i drove straight into a scorpio. 4 years, gone down the drain. To my luck, the scorpio driver was a nice guy and didnt say anythin. I always imagined drivers of such SUV’s to be huge WWE wrestler types, who are forever waiting to pounce on us. But to my relief, this one was a average sized man in his late 30’s who just smiled at me and drove away.

Coming to the state of my car, 20K is the estimated cost of repair. I had just got my salary for the month and this is how i had to blow it away.

Coincidently, i was wearing a t-shirt that read “SHIT HAPPENS!”. Maybe thats why the scorpio guy just smiled and left.

Esto ocurre mucho en los coros o con maestros que aplican el metodo clasico. Una vez que “identifican” la clasificacion de tu voz, debe seguir la regla de que no puedes ir mas alla de donde esta permitido. Aunque la idea es de evitar que te lastimes, ese consejo a veces se convierte en una orden y al mismo tiempo un limite para todo cantante.

Si no sabes la clasificacion vocal clasica de un cantante aqui van,

Comenzando con los hombres, de mas grave a agudo:

Bajo, Baritono, Tenor

Y luego las damas:

Alto, Mezzo-Soprano, Soprano

Y aunque muchos no lo sepan,hay clasificaciones dentro de esas clasificaciones, osea se dividen en diferentes ramas. (aunque es mas aplicado a la opera). Si tu meta es ser un gran cantante de musica clasica o lirica, entonces sigue las instrucciones de tu maestro o maestra. Si eres un cantante que va mas a la musica moderna y busca lo extremo sin poner en riesgo las cuerdas vocales.

Los Tenores son muy famosos por alcanzar notas altas aun manteniendo su resonancia de pecho, donde los baritonos y bajos solo han sido limitados a alcanzarlas con voz de cabeza.

Pero la realidad es otra, y tanto los Bajos como Baritonos pueden alcanzar la Famosa Do del Tenor (Do5), y el registro de silbido que hace no mucho era limitado a mujeres tambien puede ser alcanzado aun por Bajos. De las misma manera, los Altos y Mezzos, pueden alcanzar la Do del Soprano (Do6) y seguramente el registro de silbido.

Por esa misma manera no hay que preocuparse por saber si eres un Bajo o no, o frustrarse porque no puedes alcanzar esos altos tan deseados. Puede tomarte el doble de tiempo, pero se puede hacer. Todo depende de la guia adecuada y de la practica constante. No hay atajos para la expasion (o mas bien recuperacion) del rango. Nunca es tarde para comenzar, la voz madura con el tiempo y se hace mas fuerte y rica en sonido. consigue un maestro que cumpla con tus expectativas, que no se limite en la clasificacion vocal y tenga el conocimiento necesario para demostrartelo.  No dudes en apartar unas clases pronto.
