this lovely song reflect me towards everyone i care n love so much in my life..my family, my frens, my babies [Eva, Veve, Angel n Amanda] n oso My Te Amor who still out there[bilalaa kita mo berjumpa kan??..hehe]..it has a very soothing n meaningful lyric which i believe it will touches u too..1st time i heard the song while i was watching American Idol where Fantasia Berrino did a great cover on it..on the spot, i google it til now just to find out others cover made by different artist..in my opinion, the best cover has to be Mr Michael Buble himself..OMG..til now i still have a goosebump listening to his voice..for an old school track, this has to be one of my fevret songs all time..n to all of u..lagu ini amat istimewa sekali, sama istimewanya dengan kamu semua..u will owez on my mind.. ^___^

I’m no fan of the sappy country ballad, but Iron & Wine and Calexico have done something to a song I thought was beyond a good cover.  I stumbled across their cover of ‘Always on My Mind’ here, and I have to admit it’s rather less than unbearable.  Shh.

I heard this version on XM Radio this morning and couldn’t resist posting the video. A great message from Willie Nelson, huh? “Yeah I didn’t call you from the road. Yeah I slept around with a bunch of groupies. But I was thinking about you the whole time!”

After the success of his Two Men with the Blues collaboration with Branford Marsalis last year, Willie Nelson ambled into a studio to clasp a fistful of American standards to his bosom. The result is 12 most agreeable tracks that highlight the legend’s way with a lyric. He caresses every syllable like an old lover come to call, his mesquite-cured lilt pouring just one more glass, for old time’s sake.

Musically, Willie’s surrounded by some of the finest jazzmen to ever handle a melody. Pianist Joe Sample drives most of American Classic, an able accompanist and foil. Christian McBride keeps a steady hand on bass, and Anthony Wilson’s guitar burbles sweetly when called. Even old pal Mickey Raphael drops in to saw through a few numbers on harmonica.

To his credit, producer Tommy LiPuma keeps an orchestral urge to swell in check; when strings do surface, they’re unobtrusive — supporting, not overwhelming. This is especially evident on a pop evergreen Willie long ago made his own, “Always on My Mind,” here refreshingly spare and reflective, with that bombastic yearning left in the distance.

Willie’s covered this ground before, most famously on 1978’s Stardust, yet he remains revelatory in this setting, forever as depicted on Classic’s back sleeve: a laid-back, long-haired interloper in a tuxedo. He will always be the party-crasher, a hell-raiser among the swells.

And there is a rascally flavor to his voice, even on the straightest interpretations. It’s hard not to hear a devilish rake when he swears, “I’m gonna be true — if you let me” on “Come Rain or Shine.” He locks smoky horns with Diana Krall on “If I Had You,” singing to her as if she’s already sitting in his lap. His other duet partner, Norah Jones, doesn’t stand a chance against the elements in “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”; wily Willie sounds as if he’s delivering the most practical advice (“Look out the window at that storm”), even though we know his true intent.

But there’s no denying the love and reverence he has for this material, how carefully he carries the collected works of some of the last century’s greatest tunesmiths. While American Classic may not match the historic status of Stardust, it sits up there in those very same heavens, a gentle beacon shining down.

RENOWNED actor Joss Ackland captivated his audience when he appeared at the Edinburgh Book Festival yesterday.

Ackland, 81, was reading from his moving and poignant memoir which covers his 50-year relationship with his wife Rosemary who passed away in 2002.

After Rosemary’s death, Ackland discovered her diaries which she had been writing since the age of 15.

In the book, My Better Half and Me, Ackland guides the reader through the loving couple’s life together, including his rise from struggling actor to world-famous movie star.

Ackland CBE has appeared in over 130 movies, and is most famous for his portrayal of the author C.S. Lewis in Shadowlands.

He has also played parts in The Hunt for Red October, Lethal Weapon 2 and Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey.

The respected thespian also had a walk-on part in the Pet Shops Boys’ video for their smash hit version of ‘Always on my Mind’ in 1987.

I think Annop has an incredible sexy voice!

It will be interesting to see what style of music he decides to do.

He didn’t really classify what he wanted to do when he was on tour.

I think he’ be great for ballad songs, love songs, like David Archuleta.

He’s got that rich kind of voice.

The only advice I’d have for Anoop is to get an incredible designer to provide some snazzy outfits for him.

During the American Idol Show I wasn’t too crazy about some of the stuff he wore, it was more street clothing then performing.

I think if he changed his style of dress, did some cool songs, he would do well with album sales!

That’s only my opinion but from what I’ve seen of the Stars, the way you dress can influence people in a BIG way!

Look at Sanjaya he was known for his wacky sense of humor and hair! LOL

Tisdagen till ära har vi varit på allsång, och inte vilken allsång som helst. Näh, släng dig i väggen Anders Lundin och Allsång på Skansen, tacka vet jag Allsång på Bruket med Larre, Niklas och co. Vem tusan behöver Måns “MumsMums” Zelmerlöw, Johan Palm, Carola mfl när det finns sån sång- och musikbegåvning i lilla Söderfors.

Så klart, eftersom vi bor i Sväärjee, så började regndropparna falla precis när allsången skulle dra igång, och eftersom dom flesta tydligen är gjord av socker så åkte det upp paraplyer överallt och sikten blev noll :) Men man hörde ju i alla fall, och det var ju huvudsaken. Nu var det ju inte bara allsång utan också några solister som tog ton, och jag kan inte säga annat än att jag är imponerad av dom som ställer sig upp och sjunger inför ca 150 personer (ja ja, det är lilla Söderfors vi pratar om, och 150-200 personer är MÅNGA i vårat mått mätt…), och att det låter så himla bra dessutom. Vilka begåvningar! Och Mimmi stumpan klarade låten galant, “Always on my mind”, allt filmat och förevigat, så klart. Varför ska man sluta vara den pinsamma mamman när man en gång börjat, det är min nya image Men jag stod inte längst fram den här gången i alla fall…

Och lagom till Mimmi skulle sjunga så hade solen kommit fram igen, och det blev så där somrigt och härligt igen, med en och annan mygga att slå ihjäl.

Nu hör det ju inte till vanligheten att jag lägger ut kort på andra än på mig, Jens och ungarna (dom åker med som på ett bananskal ), men jag tyckte att ingen skulle ta illa upp här, det är ju bara ryggarna man ser. Det var det somriga och mysiga jag ville visa, med slaggstenshusen som ramar in så fint. Är det trots allt någon som absolut inte vill att det här kortet ska finnas här, skriv en kommentar eller säg till, så tar jag bort det.

I miss my laptop and my apartment. I just want to be surrounded by my own stuff that I so neatly organize in my closet and corners of my bedroom.� I haven’t had computer access for a month, but I’m back!� Just wanted to bring back some old memories!

I was listening to my brother sing the other day and it was hilarious because it was an old 90s Hmong song called “Lub Paj Rose” performed by the Sounders. It surprised me while searching for the song on YouTube because I didn’t know who sang it.� Correct me if I’m wrong that the Sounders sing this song.� The only thing that tells me it’s them who sing it is this video:
