Britain’s Got Talent shadow dancers Attraction are not only the favourites to win the series, they’re now more popular than show icon Susan Boyle.

The eight-piece Hungarian dance troupe took to the stage with their spine-tingling shadow dancing and wowed judges who put them straight through to the next round.

Reducing judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, audience members and TV viewers to tears they told a story about love, marriage, birth and death through shadow dancing to Emeli Sande’s Read All About It.

But now, in addition to being the bookies’ favourites to win, they can also claim they are officially more popular than the unofficial face of BGT – singing sensation SuBo.

Originally an 11/2 favourite to win, their odds have now been slashed to 3/1.

‘Susan Boyle was a bigger price at a similar stage and we believe Attraction will almost certainly start as the shortest priced favourite in the programme’s history,’ said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

Demolishing ‘Endeavour’, I searched out Britain’s Got Talent and snuggled into my quilt.

But I can honestly say that in all the years of BGT, I’ve never been brought to tears until now – and for that, I thank ‘Attraction’, the Hungarian shadow theatre company.

They performed a moving piece of art that made me sob! Their story, of love and loss and war, was so touching that I couldn’t help my tears – these men and women are a talented bunch and I would pay to watch them perform for hours!

Britain’s Got Talent comic Jack Carroll had to ditch his best gags before trying his hand in front of the judges – because he feared Ofcom would rule them as being too dirty.

The 14-year-old comedy hopeful impressed judges with his tamed down set but says had he performed his original gags -which once saw his gran throw him out of his house – he would have worried about Ofcom.

‘I tried to tone it down before Ofcom had to intervene,’ Jack said. ‘I did it once for my grandma in my front room. She told me to get out and never ever come back.’

Jack – who suffers cerebral palsy – still managed to bowl over judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams with his set based on his condition.

Admitting his BGT audition is definitely his biggest audience yet, he said: ‘I played St George’s Hall in Bradford, that’s about 2,500 people. I was on with Jason Manford.

‘He just said, “Keep doing what you’re doing.” I have and nobody has got seriously sad yet,’ Jack added.

His mum Sue revealed she doubted anyone would laugh at ‘a little boy’s disability’ at first, but after he tested it out on close friends and family and soon became a YouTube hit, she thought BGT would be a good move.

‘Me and his dad said people won’t laugh at a little boy’s disability,’ Sue told The Sun. ‘But he tried it out at our silver wedding. His five-minute set went down a storm. Thousands watched it on YouTube. We’re so proud.’

And after his audition was shown on Saturday night, Jack admitted his Twitter account has ‘gone mad’.

‘It’s been lovely, but mad. You get the odd bad comment, but I prefer the bad comments to the good comments because they make it a bit more interesting. A bit of diversity!’ he added to This Morning.

And dismissing fears he can only joke about one subject, Jack quickly added: ‘I’m not a one trick pony – its not just about the frame – that’s the initial thing to make everyone feel a bit more comfortable and that…’

Simon Cowell has proven he’s one big softy at heart as the the music mogul has revealed his dream of becoming a daddy – but he fears his inability to stay faithful will get in his way.

The hard-nosed Britain’s Got Talent boss is famous for his harem of women but says one day, when he finds the right lady, he wants to settle down and father a little girl.

‘If I knew that I could be — how can I put this delicately — faithful. I do like kids. I haven’t ruled it out,’ he admitted.

Broody Si continued: ‘I don’t think I’d adopt. I’d rather have my own. I would love a girl.

‘But I don’t think I’d be good in the first six months.’

Simon was close to settling down in 2011 when he popped the question to make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy.

But he called it all off last year, although the pair have remained friends, and has since been linked to a number of ladies, including former Baywatch babe Carmen Electra.

His BGT colleague Amanda Holden, who herself has two children with husband Chris Hughes, is all for Si becoming a dad.

‘He is so good with children. I want him to have children because he would genuinely be a fantastic dad because he is good fun,’ she told The Sun. ‘But there is no way he would go near a nappy or a poo or anything like that.’

Amanda added: ‘When the baby’s walking and could have a conversation with him and know who he is, that would be fine.’

There were tears in store as Britain’s Got Talent kicked off last night, with shadow dancers Attraction reducing the judges and audience to tears.

The emotional performance by the Hungarian dance troupe won four yeses, with Amanda Holden describing them as ‘one of the most moving acts I have seen in seven years’.

It was certainly a show to remember as the ITV talent show returned to TV screens on Saturday night.

Before they took to the stage, Attraction – comprised of nine dancers from Hungary – described their act to show hosts Ant and Dec, saying: ‘This is a love story, because this is an emotional story and a true story. If we won Britain’s Got Talent, this is the top of my life!’

And as they began their story – which covered love, romance, marriage, birth and death – they soon had the audience and judges hanging onto their every last move as they danced to Emeli Sande’s Read All About It behind a screen on stage.

The moving act left audience members in tears and patting their eyes dry, while Amanda and fellow judge Alesha Dixon visibly saddened by the story unfolding.

When it came to the judges’ comments, Amanda exclaimed: ‘I actually can’t speak’, before praising their ‘emotional and touching’ choreography.

Alesha echoed Amanda’s emotion, telling them: ‘I forgot that we were here and you just drew me in completely. It was fantastic and I loved it.’

Deciding to watch the first episode from home last night, Amanda was piling on the praise for Attraction again as she told TV viewers to ‘get the tissues ready’, adding: ‘This is one of the most moving acts I have seen in 7 years. Wonderful. X.’

And the mum-of-two was quick to reply: ‘@attractiondance OMG! An easy yes!!! You were amazing and everyone seems to agree xx.’

But Alice Fredenham, who was unable to impress on The Voice but blew judges away on BGT last night, is the second favourite for BGT glory, with odds standing at 6/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: ‘Without a shadow of a doubt Attraction deserve to be the early favourite.’

The show which last night went head-to-head in the ratings war with BBC One’s The Voice say an array of ‘talents’.

From the sublime to the ridiculous, views witnessed a mother and daughter country singing duo, a vicar dancing with a broom dressed as a nun and a woman suggestively danging over a chair.

Anyways, we made it tae the audition stages, no goat passed Ant n Dec (Isa asked me tae tell ye thit they baith wear toupees n Dec’s breakin his teeth in fae the Co-op Horse). Sae we git oan the stage. We’re wearin like ehhh, baseball caps, shell suits n medallions, n trainers wi those massive tongs on em. Isa made sure oor gussets wur slung low like whit aw those rapper gadgies huv. Ah kept trippin ovir ma fud flaps. Isa wis givin aw the attitude n daein rapper boy hand gestures, n ah wis makin ma rhymes aw fresh.

Isa forgoat tae tell me thit she’d left hur Zither in the ladies, n ah’d forgotten tae tell hur that ah’d forgotten aw the wirds tae the song. Sae yer man Simon Cowell asks us who we r n whit we’re daein, n ah telt him, he he says “right, aff ye gae”, n sae we jist stood thur, biggin up the beat n punchin the air like twa fucknuts.

Isa jist starts yellin “WE’RE 78, WE’RE 78″ n the audience kep’ oan clappin us. Cowell’s face wis like a pish covered oatcake, Amanda Holden’s wis like a frozen pish covered oat cake, n David Walliams’ wis like a jizz co…well ye git the picture. Afair we ken it, Walliams is up oan stage wi us, freestylin. He’s pinched ma baseball cap n he’s giein it big licks. Bit it wis too little too late, Cowell buzzed us aff, Holden joined hum n sae we wur consigned tae the dustbin…the next act oan eftir us wis a Gerbil daein stand up. N they voted it thru. Cunts.

Next year, we’ll try agin. If ah’m still alive.

The glamorous trio kissed, posed and glammed it up for the press, but it was still noticed that one person was missing: where was David Walliams?

Inside it was quickly made clear, as a curly haired David Walliams popped up onscreen via video link, joking he’s not at launch saying as Simon has taken a restraining order against him.

In actual fact David was on the set of his new sitcom Big School, filming. Poor David is making a habit of missing the glamorous launch –or most of it, last year he had to dash in late, as he was working hard on a Sport Relief project.

The judge not being present did not stop the others talking about him, though and soon Amanda was talking David’s baby with supermodel wife Lara Stone that is due next month.

Asked if she gave David any advice, Holdon said: “David will be a great dad, and Simon will be a great dad, too”.

Simon, meanwhile, described him as being like his mum’s dachshund dog – always humping his leg, (flattering) and that he likes a bath and massage before shows but not with David!

While Alesha said that, be that as it may, David did give Simon several lap dances during filming!!

Asked whether being a mum makes her dread saying no to kids, Amanda answered: “Er, no. You don’t get a dread. You think responsibly about how you may say no. We’ve always said the responsibility lies with the parents. We’re brilliant with them backstage, but unless your child is ready, your child shouldn’t be on stage, so it’s up to the parents. But this year, little Britain has got talent, it’s mostly been young kids, it’s been amazing.”

“Alisha quite likes it when they’re crying don’t you? It’s one of the things she likes.” Simon butted in quick as a flash.

Simon then continued saying BGT is biggest show on TV so this series won’t be the last (hooray!!) adding apropos of nothing that this year he wants to wear lower necklines.

Amanda Holden did get a little miffed when Simon admitted he’s never voted in a real election because he “couldn’t be bothered”. “What a lovely role model for kids,” Amanda huffed, “Children don’t listen to that!!”

Simon is, of course, waiting to be Prime Minister himself, so why should he bother with others??!!

Meanwhile, we were also treated to the full first episode of BGT itself. Every guest was given a bag of Morrisons finest toffee popcorn to eat during screening of the episode, but we hardly touched them as we were treated to a rollercoaster of laughs, shocks and surprises. At least three potential stars were spotted – perhaps even more, time will tell!! Ant and Dec were on fine form as always, as were David and Simon. A fantastic start!!

As for our missing judge, this morning both Sinitta and Alesha Dixon told him: “you were missed yesterday! ” With David replying: “Sorry. I was very envious when I saw the picture of you and Amanda kissing my Simon. x”

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden knows exactly how to get up Simon Cowell’s nose.

As the judging panel – minus David Walliams – dished the dirt on each others’ annoying habits at BGT’s press launch yesterday, the mum-of-two revealed: ‘I really enjoy talking about my bowels. Because I know it upsets him.

‘He doesn’t like to know when I need poos and things like that. He can’t even stand the word “poo”,’ she added

‘She just tells me everything about her body,’ Simon interjected.

But it’s not just Amanda who irritates the 53-year-old TV mogul.

‘Alesha has an issue with disabled people being in the audience,’ he joked. ‘In her words, “They take up seats other people can use”. That’s quite irritating to me.’

Keen to set the record straight, Alesha chipped in: ‘Actually that is his annoying habit, him and David spend the entire day trying to make me out to be a racist, homophobic, or whatever… just not a nice human being really.

‘He tries to wind us up all the time,’ Amanda agreed.

But it’s David Walliams who can really make Si squirm.

Quizzed on whether or not the funnyman’s affections ever get too much to handle, Simon explained: ‘It seriously is uncomfortable. My mum used to have a dog and every time we used to go round to my mum’s the dog would just hump your leg. And it’s a bit like that.’
