Idag fick Amanda vara hemma för att krya på sig. Så i morse när jag skulle åka och lämna Adrian på dagis stannade Amanda hemma med Alicia (hennes egen ide). Jag gjorde ordning ersättningen om hon skulle bli hungrig och berättade hur mycket hon kunde ge innan Alicia var tvungen och rapa. Sedan åkte jag, vågat jag vet men någon gång måste hon få känna sig stor !!

När jag kom hem satt Alicia i Amandas knä och hade ätit hela flaskan . Dom såg ut att ha så mysigt . Enligt Amanda hade hon även rapat henne på mitten (vet inte om det är sant men man måste ju tro på henne)

Sedan var det dags för mig att sätta mig och plugga med skolkamraterna som kom hem till oss (eftersom Amanda var sjuk). Under tiden så var Amanda jätteduktig och lät oss plugga i flera timmar utan problem

Ja då var det dags för Amanda att bli sjuk   Igår när jag hämtade henne från skolan hade hon ont i huvudet och sedan på kvällen fick hon feber . Idag så hade hon 39.5 och låg i sängen hela dagen. På eftermiddagen fik jag klämma i henne lite Ipren för att få ner febern och så att hon skulle må lite bättre.

Sedan bar det av att hämta lillebror på dagis och jag var tvungen att hämta några böcker. I bilen blev Amanda illamående och kräktes och som tur va hittade hon en påse hon kunde använda !!! Vilken duktig tjej man har !! Hon satt kvar i bilen medans jag hämtade mina böcker och även när jag hämtade Adrian. Vad mer kan man begära av en sjuk tjej !!

I hate fucking ABBA. Their music is really only appropriate in two places, at a wedding party and at a New Years Eve party. In other words when people are massively, massively, massively drunk. When our pub had a jukebox I had my own personal ban on ABBA. If one of their songs came on when the Jukebox was on random play I demanded it was skipped. I did let it play if someone had actually paid for it. I may be a dick but I’m not that much of a dick. Besides, those times were thankfully very few and far between.

Which surprised me to be honest because this film, this fucking film, did better at the box office in my hometown of Braintree, Essex than ‘The Dark Knight’ did. Apparently this town is filled with repressed ABBA fans, glad for a film to come out featuring their music so that they could sit there in the dark cinema where people might not recognise them. So yeah, thanks for that Braintree.

In fact a quick check of the internet reveals that Mamma Mia! Is the highest grossing film of all time in the UK. Yep, we had an empire that once spanned the globe and now we’re going mental for films based around the songs of a 70s Swedish pop group. Rule Britannia indeed.

Anyway, back to this movie. It basically tells the tale of a woman and her daughter who run a villa on an island for some reason. The daughter has met the boy of her dreams and intends to marry him. There’s one problem though. She’d really like her father to give her away at her wedding but because her mother was something of a slut in her youth, she has no idea who her father is. She finds her mother’s diary and sends invitations to three potential fathers, without telling her mother, and waits for them arrive. They do and shenanigans ensue.

Now, as I previously stated, I fucking hate ABBA but today I found out that I actually hate something more than their songs. It’s their songs sung by people who can’t sing. This was like watching a bunch of drunk people on a bad karaoke night. A really bad karaoke night. Except that I was watching it at work so I couldn’t drink. Dear God, I’ve never wanted a drink so bad in my life.

Well, I suppose that’s a little unfair. Meryl Streep ain’t bad. Not great but not bad. Still, the worst offender when it comes to aural raping is Pierce Brosnan. What the hell are you doing man? You were James Bond for fucks sake. You were the James Bond I grew up with, for better or for worse and now your singing ABBA songs whilst making a face that makes it look as if you’re trying to cough up a tortoise.

But it’s not just the singing that’s bad either! Some of the actors in this film are the worst I’ve seen outside of a B-Movie in many a year. In particular I’d like to say that the guy who plays Sophie’s fiancée Skye is a terrible actor. He was so wooden and insincere that I thought that he was being played by some kind of sarcastic puppet.

Oh, and another thing. Half the dialogue in this film seems to be delivered in some kind of strange, shrieking language that I’m fairly sure only women can understand. If you are going to do such a thing then you should probably have included subtitles for those poor bastards who got dragged along to see this by their wives and girlfriends.

Now, there were a couple of times when the film elicited a chuckle out of me. One was when a drill was used as a euphemism for a penis, telling me more than I wanted to know about exactly what childish level my sense of humour is at. The other was at the image of Pierce Brosnan dressed as a hippy. That was kinda funny. There was also one scene which I thought was kinda cool for a split second. The guests at the daughter’s hen party are looking over some kind of cliff ledge and a bunch of people are crawling up it. For one sweet second I thought it was some kind of zombie attack and I thought wow, people kept this twist quiet but alas, it was just the bachelor party on some kind of panty raid. I was sorely, sorely disappointed.

Perhaps the point where the movie really stretched the limit of believability was when all three potential fathers figured out the reason that they were invited out of the blue. They all came to the conclusion individually that they were the girls father and she wanted them to walk her down the aisle. However, they had all spent quite some time together at this point and they all knew that the other two had received equally mysterious invitations. How the fuck did they not realise that the other two were there for exactly the same reason and that Sophie hadn’t yet figured out who her actual father was? That’d be the first thing that came to my mind.

Perhaps the best thing about this movie is the fact that I watched Tremors directly before it. Man, Tremors is such an awesome film. Kevin Bacon is at his finest and you really believe that him and Fred Ward have worked together and been friends for quite some time. And who doesn’t love crazy survivalist Burt? And the Graboids still look fucking good even by today’s standards. Sure you can sometimes see the strings used to operate the tentacles in some scenes but it just adds to the charm of the movie. One thing that does confuse me though is the DVD cover. Seriously look it up now. I’ll wait.

Ok, you back? Right, what the fuck is that creature on the DVD cover with all the teeth and stuff? That looks nothing like the Graboids in the film. It just confuses me. Anyway, overall I’ll give Tremors four pints out of five.

Wait, what? Mamma Mia? Oh fine. I give Mamma Mia! one glass of white wine out of five. And you wanna know what the worst thing is? There is one ABBA song, one song that I can kind of stand. That song is Waterloo. Not sure why I don’t mind it. Maybe I’m just OK with songs based on historical events. Anyway, it’s not fucking in the film until the end credits. I kept thinking, oh just suffer through, at least Waterloo isn’t the worst thing in the world and they must have included it and then it turns out you have to watch the entire fucking film to get to it. And it takes place during this bizarre credit scene where Meryl Streep and her two friends yell at the audience asking if they want another song. Waterloo then follows filled with some of the most embarrassing dancing I’ve seen outside of a wedding reception… Which I guess is appropriate. Still, it well wasn’t worth it.

Fuck, this film has put me in a bad mood for the rest of the goddamn day. Still, if people like this kinda thing, and apparently they do, then it does give some hope for my planned film ‘Snooker Loopy’ featuring the music of Chas and Dave. Laterz.

5:50AM – Wake up, shower.
7:05AM – Go to Jazzband. Play music, get harmon mutes, walk around in circles, conversate with Rachelle, conversate with Tinzel, watch Cael make strange noises using his cornet and harmon. Ect.
8:40 AM- Go to Drama class. Conversate skit ideas. Get the group organized and back on track. Try and get together a plotline. Get the group organized and back on track. Start script plan. Sit around and chat. Watch Ben run around with scissors. Help Darien brainstorm line ideas. Color shoes. Laugh internally. Laugh externally at Kieth and Alec’s lame (but pro) jokes. Conversate. Observe. Bell rings.
9:51 AM: Go to Band class. Play music. Get a pimpin’ solo. Get daily ego inflation. Wonder where my wife is.
10:54AM:  Go to break. Sit around. Eat a granola bar. Conversate.
11:04AM: Go to English. Do grammar. Read sewing textbook. Be bored in general. Eat a cheese roll thinger. Play with cheese wax. Daydream.
12:10AM: Go to lunch. Eat gumbo. Tell courtney that YES, I AM going to get red fabric after school. (For her skirt, I have set a deadline for Christmas.) Go to locker. Come back. Get weirded out by Ben, who is trying to make me laugh. Go outside and listen to him play Scott’s brother’s guitar. He’s getting pretty good. Better than me now… damn. Josh talks about how he hates capos. Bell rings.
12:55AM: Go back to English. Write an essay outline. Read sewing textbook. Be bored in general. Daydream.
1:57 PM:   Go to Science. Cloutier is in a bad mood. Which automatically makes him Clucifer. Balance equasions. feel proud because I’m good at it. Learn we have a lab tomorrow. Damn.
3:05 Go to locker, get stuff, talk to Tim, talk to Darien, go to car. Go do some glass deliveries. Go to grocery store. sit in car for 20 minutes. Find Tim in town. Go and hang out in the dollar store for 15 minutes. Get back in the car with Dad. Go get parcel (Stained glass from Texas). Go to Fabricland. Look at mannequins. Buy red fabric.. Go hoome. Turn on heater. Waste time. Daydream. Write blog. Sleep.

Ett stort problem med hela resan har varit katterna. Att säga upp lägenheten och jobbet var inte så svårt och krävde inga mängder med tankeverksamhet.

Nu har så äntligen denna tunga (katt)sten lättat från mina axlar. Annas mormor och mamma vill tillsammans ha Kattis medan jag är borta. De bor dessutom grannar. Och Diana kan min vän Amanda ställa upp och ta om det skulle krisa sig. Ska dock försöka få ett ordentligt permanent hem åt gamla Diana som dessutom kommer ha opererat bort sitt ena öga då. Helst på landet. Planen är nån form av “annons”-sida med bilder och info och sen länka till den på Facebook. Det är alltid nån nära vän som brukar kunna hjälpa till eller känner nån utan att jag tänkt på dem som en möjlig lösning.

Dieses WE waren wir wieder mal in der schönen Heimat Oberösterreich. Mit den schon immer größer werdenen Jungs Samy und Ali gelang mir am Sonntag ein kleines Shooting. Die immer lieb schauende Amanda erwischte ich am Samstang ein paar Mal recht glücklich.  Hier ein paar Beispiele:

Saturday it’s a Saturday. Jamming out to new music all day from Marcus’s Birthday mixes (35 songs from 35 people) but only have the first 12 of 35 . So far, I’d have to say my favorite collections (after Marcus’s own picks) are Olivia’s and Liam’s. I’ll be posting my favs in another post sometime when I go through them. It takes time to listen to everything. What would your strategy be?

Maybe it’s because I dislike the Indian people so much but I really think Amanda Knox is innocent. Yeah she may have been there at the house when Meredith Kercher was getting her throat cut but I don’t think she cut her throat. She may have taunted Merry a bit and then let the black dude have at her but she did not murder Merry Kercher.

The brit was an obnoxious bitch who had a boyfriend no one is talking about who she had tossed over just a week before the murder. He lived downstairs from the two girls and could have easily come upstairs, raped Meridith and cut her throat because he saw her with the black duded. You know how Italians are about their women.

The knife wounds did not fit the wounds in Merry’s neck; there was DNA from Knox and her ex boyfriend on Merry’s bra and other clothes and there is any number of ways for it to have gotten there including police screwing evidence around to make it look suspicious however for the Knox family to buy Amanda a plane ticket back home to Seattle right now is just pain risky. If the jurors hear that they just may screw the family and vote guity and off Amanda goes for a life sentence eating shitty italian food for the rest of her life for merry’s murder.

There are so many variables in this case; I just wonder what is going on in the girl’s maind or does Foxy Knoxy really care about anything or anyone?

Aceptémoslo, los remakes están de moda. Si hasta están preparando uno de Los Ángeles de Charlie. Últimamente, estos pequeños pedazos de pasado son el refugio perfecto para algunas viejas glorias de la televisión de los 90. El mejor lo hemos vivido esta semana con el esperado regreso de la malvada Amanda a Melrose Place. Y no es la primera que se deja caer por los apartamentos más famosos de América, muchos antiguos inquilinos ya se han dejado caer por allí. Pero a los que la Melrose original nos pilló algo jóvenes no acabamos de enterarnos de quien en esta gente, así que vamos a hacer un pequeño repaso a sus interesantes vidas.

¿Quién es quien en la nueva Melrose?

Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton)

No se la conoce mucho, pero era casi tan mala como Amanda. A Sydney la conocimos cuando se zumbó al marido de su hermana, el doctor Michael Mancini. Con esa carta de presentación, se pasó la serie haciéndole la vida imposible a medio vecindario (especialmente a la mujer por la que Michael la abandonó, Kimberly, una doctora a quien interpretaba cierta pelirroja desesperada) hasta que un coche se la llevó por delante el día de su boda. Pero (¡sorpresa!) no murió, sólo fingió su muerte y reapareció años después con una hija secreta bajo el brazo para acabar flotando boca abajo en una piscina. Una pena…

Jane Andrews-Mancini (Josie Bisset)

Una de las cornudas oficiales del edificio: su marido Michael se acostó a sus espaldas con su mejor amiga y con su hermana. Ella, ni corta ni perezosa, echó a Sydney de casa y se divorció de Michael. Pero como la cabra siempre tira al monte, volvió con él, lo dejó de nuevo, se embarazó de él, y todo esto con un importante fraude fiscal por medio. Tras su marcha de Melrose, reaparece en la nueva versión como heredera del edificio cuando muere su hermana, pero después de putear un poco a Ella, desaparece del mapa.

Michael Mancicni (Thomas Calabro)

Una joya de hombre. Se acostó con medio vecindario (incluso llegó a casarse con la madre de S.), pero sin duda su gran tira y afloja amoroso fue con Sydney. Tanto duró esa extraña relación, que sobrevivió al fin de la serie y fue retomada en la nueva Melrose, eso sí, con chantaje, asesinato y una nueva familia de por medio. Y con hijo secreto y todo.

Jo Reynolds (Daphne Zúñiga)

La única persona normal de esta lista, todo hay que decirlo. Fotógrafa y con un par de ex maridos, es infinitamente recordada por disparara a un hombre en una lancha (un noviete que intentó violarla), y por ser la única habitante de los apartamentos en quedarse embarazada y tener el hijo. Reaparece en 2009 al servicio de Ella Simms.

Amanda Woodward (Heather Locklear)

Bueno, bueno… Qué decir de ella que no sepamos ya. Amanda apareció en el edificio cuando la serie era una bonita versión ventiañera de La Casa de la Pradera. Ella fue la que le dió caña a la serie y la salvó de su cancelación. Entre sus azañas podemos decir que chantajeó a prácticamente todo el edificio, se acostó con medio vecindario, se casó con la otra mitad (con sus posteriores divorcios), despidió a media plantilla de la agencia de publicidad en la que trabajaba… En fin, una joya de mujer, que sólo lleva unas horas en la nueva Melrose y ya lo ha puesto todo patas arriba. Desde luego, con nuestra rubia favorita de vuelta, esta nueva Melrose promete.
