INTERNET BILLBOARD Article II, Sec. 1, cl. 5 of the US Constitution “No person except a natural bo

INTERNET BILLBOARD

Article II, Sec. 1, cl. 5 of the US Constitution

“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President. . .”

From the 20th Amendment to the US Constitution.

“or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until
a President shall have qualified;”

It is not a conspiracy theory. Using the term “birther” in a condescending, Orwellian manner to discredit decent, hard working Americans who believe that the US Constitution is the law of the land, will not be tolerated.

1. Barack Obama has employed a legion of private and government attorneys to prevent revealing his country of birth. Innocent and eligible persons seeking the office of president do not do that.

2. Barack Obama’s father was a citizen of Kenya and a British citizen. “natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution” was explicitly written to deal with the issue of foreign allegiances at the time of the writing of the US Constitution.

3. Barack Obama’s citizenship and allegiance was further tainted when he was adopted by his stepfather Lolo Soetoro and Obama became an Indonesian citizen.

4. Some combination of the above allowed Obama to travel to Pakistan in 1981 when travel there was restricted to US citizens.

5. The only document presented by the Obama camp is a Hawaii COLB. There has been no substantiation that it is authentic and it does not establish country of birth. As Lou Dobbs stated, “It is a piece of paper that refers to another piece of paper.”

6. All other documentation, all school records, that would establish country of birth have been kept hidden and restricted.

7. No authentic documentation has been presented to establish that Barack Obama was born in the US.

8. The records of all hospitals in Hawaii have been searched. There is no record of Stanley Ann Obama ever having given birth to a child.

9. Barack Obama’s paternal grandmother in Kenya has stated on multiple occasions that she was present at Obama’s birth in Mombasa.

10. Others have stated, including multiple family members, officials and press, that Obama was born in Kenya.

This has been presented in a manner that a fifth grader can understand. However, if you have any questions, please contact me on this blog.

Failure to learn more about and understand this critical issue and take appropriate measures can only be construed as apathy, ignorance or having an un American agenda. This includes the Mainstream Media and the Fox network.

Lieberman: Barghouti Will Not be Released Article: Israel National News Speaking Thursday morning, F

Lieberman: Barghouti Will Not be Released
Article: Israel National News

Speaking Thursday morning, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said he could “guarantee” that arch-terrorist Marwan Barghouti would not be released from prison in any deal to exchange terrorists for kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. “We have no intention to free the head of the murderers, a person who has been sentenced to four life terms in prison. There are red lines, and this is one of them,” Lieberman said.

In response to U.S. demands that Israel free an additional 1,000-some terrorists as a “gesture” to Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas, Lieberman said that previous releases of Fatah terrorists “have not proven themselves. The Olmert administration did this several times and it did not work, and we do not plan to allow it to happen,” Lieberman said.

Why can’t BHussein be smart enough to know that freeing RADICAL TERRORISTS does NOT PRODUCE POSITIVE RESULTS?! Oh. I guess “brotherhood” has a lot to do with it.

BHussein with Palestinian President Abu Mazen as he demands that Israel releases an additional 1,000 terrorists as a “gesture”to “moderate” “Palestinians”.

Ohhhhhhhhhh golly…

Israel pardons 92 Fatah members
Article: YnetNews

Israel has granted pardon to 92 wanted members of the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, Fatah’s military wing. Some were awarded full pardon while others were granted partial pardon. The most prominent member on the list is a commander in the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades in the territories. (Ali Waked)

Yet; the Palestinian terrorists are holding one of Israel’s soldiers captive. Does BHussein Obama give a shit? The answer is NYET. He cares about himself… and his brothers in Allah.

Israel soldier swap talks on hold: Palestinian
Article: Breitbart

Indirect talks between Israel and the Islamist Hamas movement over a prisoner exchange involving Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit have been suspended until Tuesday, according to a Palestinian official .

“Negotiations on Shalit will resume after Eid al-Adha in Cairo on Tuesday,” the official told AFP on Thursday on condition of anonymity.

The Hamas delegation, which visited the Syrian capital on Wednesday to meet the movement’s leadership in exile, returned to the Gaza Strip via Cairo, he added, while refusing to detail the content of the discussions.

Shalit was captured by Palestinian militants including Hamas in a cross-border raid from the Gaza Strip in 2006.

Hamas, which has controlled the territory since June 2007, is demanding that more than 450 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails be released in exchange for the soldier.

But Israel is refusing to release some of the detainees, blocking the chance of any agreement being reached, an official close to the talks said on Wednesday.

The same official said reports of an imminent prisoner exchange were “premature.”

Both Hamas and Israel earlier this week reported progress in the negotiations, which have been mediated by Egypt and Germany, but played down reports of a quick deal.

Hamas on Wednesday blamed the delay on Israel, which “has not yet answered the demands of the Palestinian factions,” senior Hamas official Khalil al-Haya said.

So; even the terrorists who are holding the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit captive demand only 450 Palestinian terrorist prisoners that are being held in Israeli jails be released in exchange for Gilad Shalit; but BHussein seems to think that’s a pretty low number. “DUR… I HAZ A BETR IDEA! LETZ GO FOR A THOUSAND. THEY IS MY TERRORIZT BROTHERZ.” UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE. Negotiations are on hold until after Eid al-Adha… I guess the terrorists must be shopping at Best Buy.

Anything I would add would only detract from this. From a great commenter and American on this blog, Joyce,

“CW,…. I received this email from a very good friend of mine. He is honest and I know that this is from him.

Just more good things about Sarah Palin. She is an amazing woman who I know loves this country. I hope you can read thru it with out tears. I couldn’t!!!!!!

Joyce”
“This e-mail was sent to me today by my Step-sister xxxxxx xxxxxxx. She took her Dad (my Step-Dad) to meet Sarah Palin yesterday when she was in Birmingham doing a book signing promoting her newly released book. The date was November 22, 2009. I was amazed to hear the story and called her to verify that it happened to her and not just a “forward” that I so often receive.
I took my Dad to meet Sarah Palin tonight. He wore his Marine’s hat and his Purple Heart pin. Before we entered the signing place, we were stopped by Sarah’s aunt. She grabbed my dad’s hand and told him thanks for his service to our country. He was so proud. Next, we waited our turn to meet Sarah. She shook my hand and we exchanged greetings. When I introduced her to my dad, she held (not shook) his hand and thanked him for her freedom – yes, her freedom. She thanked him for his service to our country. My dad began to cry. She
asked where he served, and she told him that her book was in honor of him and his dedication to America . My Dad thanked Sarah for her service and told her how proud he was of her. She then thanked me for bringing my Dad and said God Bless you.

As we were leaving we were stopped by a man who asked to meet my Dad and it turned out to be Sarah’s Dad. He hugged me and thanked me for bringing my Dad & then hugged him and told him it meant so much to him that we took the time to stand in line to meet his daughter. Trying to find his voice, with a face full of falling tears, my Dad said, no… Thank you…thank you for your daughter.
As we left, tears filled Sarah’s father’s eyes and everyone, incuding security and all told him goodbye. As we were leaving, we learned that Sarah stopped by Fort Hood unexpectedly and donated the money from her book signing today to the victim’s families. She is a Great lady!

Question: Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, to proceed: I have read the second p

Question:

Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, to proceed:

I have read the second part of your book, at-Tibyaan fi Kufri man a’aan al-Amreekaan, the title of which is: “The Crusade Campaign in its Second Phase: War on Iraq”, and I benefited much from what you mentioned from rulings regarding this campaign, like the ruling on supporting America, and the ruling on supporting the Iraqi government, and the ruling on supporting the Muslim nation in Iraq.

Except, there was a matter that was not mentioned despite its importance, and it is: What is the ruling upon doing Jihaad against the Americans, and fighting them outside Iraq, like attacking their interests and bases and hitting them in different places of the world, and this is regarded from Jihaad? And do they have a covenant with us, in those countries were they do not [openly] fight us in? And is the saying of the Messenger sallallahu ‘alayhi wa salam, ‘Whoever kills a person under covenant will never smell the fragrance of paradise”‘ And if we say that they are not under covenant, but fighting them would result in greater disadvantage, [would it then be] legislated to fight them?
Jazakumullah khayr.

Answer:

Wa ‘alaykum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, to proceed:

Undoubtedly then, that the greatest of enemies of Islaam, and the Muslims in this era are those Americans, and if we wished to follow-up on their crimes against Islaam and its people in the recent times we would have spent ages on it; for they have killed nations of Muslims, in Iraq and Afghanistan alone almost two million, and have embargoed nations, and expelled nations, and brainwashed nations, and plundered the riches of the Muslims, and occupied much of their land, and placed tawagheet on the people, and they did in this ummah what no one did in ancient or recent history.

And today, we see them launching the thousands of rockets and tonnes of bombs on the heads of the Muslims everywhere, and they do not differentiate between a child, an old man, and a woman!

And why should they differentiate?!

For the Muslims, in thier eyes, are nothing but a collection of insects, whose extermination from this world is necessary.

So doing Jihaad against those cursed ones, and awaiting for them, and fighting them wherever they may be is: from the most important of obligations, and the greatest of things that can bring you close [to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala]; for they have corrupted the lands, and killed many of the servants, and fought the Muslims everywhere, so there is no doubt that they are the ‘leaders of disbelief’ in this era, without dispute, and Allah, the Most High has said, ‘So fight the leaders of kufr, verily they have no protection’, and if I had ten spears [only], I would have thrown it all at them, and no one else except them, and I swear by Allah: If my chance to do a martyrdom operation against them becomes easy, I will do it without any hesitance whatsoever…

And if Allah raises from amongst this ummah of one billion a thousand – only – from the ‘martyrdomers’ who quake their bases and interests everywhere, they would have defeated them and returned them humilated losers…

So what a shame:
Do those pharoah’s enslave the Muslims, and taste them the severest of punishments everywhere, and then find no resistance, rather they find protection from the tawagheet and their slaves?

And know, my dear brother, that the doubt of the one who prohibits fighting them and killing them in other than the lands in which they fight in is one of two:

The first: The doubt of the covenant:

So they say: They have a covenant with us, and whoever kills a covenant-holder does not smell the smell of paradise as is clear in the hadeeth.

The second: The doubt of the advantages and disadvantages:

So they say: Fighting them causes tribulation upon this ummah that it cannot handle.

So we say in reply:

As for the covenant, then no wallah, there is no covenant between us and them, nay, they are harbiyoon wherever they reside and live, even if they became attached to the coverings of the Ka’bah, for the covenants that the governments did with those crusaders is not recognised in the sharee’ah, rather it is based upon the charters of the false-dietic United Nations, and was signed by individuals who have no conciousness of Allah in their actions, and nothing is more important to those individuals more than preserving their thrones and status, even if the covenant was recognised, they would be considered as having broken that covenant in the tens, nay hundreds even; like their declaring that this is a crusade and fighting us due to our religion, to expelling the Muslims from their lands, to supporting those who expelled them, to violating many of the treaties, to involving themselves [in corrupting] the Islaamic rulings, to supporting the enemies of Islaam everywhere, to following up and spying on the Mujahideen on earth, and killing them, and imprisoning them, to plundering the treasures of the Muslims, and other than this from the matters of which a tenth would be enough to invalidate their covenant had it been shar’ee.

If the covenant between the Messenger, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa salam and Quraysh was nullified due to Qurayh’s support for Bakr over Khazaa’ah secretly, and for once only, so what of the actions of America which cannot be counted or numbered in this day and age…

Furthermore, it is not from the shar’ee covenants to allow the Crusaders and give them protection so that they may hit the Muslims however they want…

And praise be to Allah, I have detailed the proofs and statements to establish that there is no covenant between us and those crusaders, and that between us and them is nothing except the sword, as well as refuting many of the doubts casted in this matter in the book Nashr al-Bunood and I will release it soon insha’Allahu ta’ala.

As for the issue of advantages and disadvantages, then it is correct; for the matter if its disadvantages is greater than its advantage then it does not become permissible at that moment, except I notify you of two matters:

First: The advantages and disadvantages here are the shar’ee advantages and disadvantages, not the ones imagined [by some people].

Second: The people who sould look at the benefits towards the Jihaad of such actions and their harms are the Mujahideen, not the sitting ones who don’t even know how to use a gun!

This is what I have to say in this short reply, and I have lengthened the talk about these matters in two books, that I will release soon insha’Allah – if Allah protects me from his enemies -:

One of them is, Nashr al-Bunood, mentioned above.
The second is the third part of at-Tibyaan fi Kufri man a’aan al-Amreekaan.

I ask Allah subhanah, to grant victory to Islaam and its people, and to destroy America and its allies, and to cure our hearts from them, and to remove their envy towards us, and peace and blessings be upon our Messenger Muhammed.

I decided to go back to Vietnam a few months ago. I have an abundance of air miles that, for myriad reasons, I feel like using, my neighbors had recently relocated (back) to Saigon and it seemed like a nice little sojourn prior to the crazy that I know December will bring. Living in Hong Kong affords one the luxury of taking long weekends to places like Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Macau, China… It is a great benefit. Having taken a long weekend in Bangkok not too long ago, Saigon was the perfect alternative. It would be warm, a great place to do my Christmas shopping, and I could help some friends out be being a pack mule for some of their stuff they were moving from HK in stages. So, I cashed in the miles, got the ticket and worked my way up to the departure date.

Tuesday evening while sharing a sampan with Frenchie, a former travel agent, we were discussing my departure 36 hours ahead.

“So, you got your visa, right?”
“On arrival.”
“Vietnam? I don’t think so. You need two photos, four days and some paperwork.”
“No, last time I did it on arrival.”
“I don’t think so, I mean, it has been five years for me, but I am pretty sure you need to get your visa.”

Shit. Shitshitshitshitshit.

I pulled out my passport. I certainly did not remember getting my visa ahead of time for Vietnam when I went in February… but I definitely DID remember getting it when I meant to go in 2006. I looked at my last Vietnam visa, perfunctorily dated the day PRIOR to my arrival. She was right. Of course I needed a visa to enter the SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM. What. The. Fuck. had I been thinking? Of course, the point being I had NOT been thinking. I rarely worry about my visas. There are two really good reasons for this. The first reason is that I have an AMAZING travel agent who pretty much makes sure that I do not screw things like that up. (Ask for Daryl, you will not be sorry.) The second reason, and probably more to blame for this, is that I am American.

Doesn’t that blue passport get me everywhere?

People are always talking about how Americans are so arrogant. And so provincial. And so not-smart. And how they think they run the world. Etcetera. Etcetera. Etcetera. Provincial I am not. Smart… I will let you be the judge, if you know me, you already know my opinion on this matter. Running the world? Well, you know, you can only control what people allow you to control. Seriously. And while arrogance is a trait I espouse disregard for, I simultaneously find myself strangely drawn to it. [Note intentional juxtaposition of previous three statements.] Am I arrogant? I imagine a lot of people would say yes, but there are many things that can be mistaken for arrogance. [It takes an intuitive mind to see the difference.]

There are a surprising number of countries that do require visas of Americans. But since few of them are on the top 100 lists of places people want to visit, they are often over looked. Afghanistan. The Democratic Republic of the Congo. Sudan (though of ALL the people in the world, only if you are an American of Sudanese descent you can get a visa on entry…) Iraq. North Korea. Then there are places like Cuba, China, Cambodia and Laos where it seems clear that, as self-professed socialist states, a visa would be required by the likewise self-professed disseminators of democracy. Oh, yeah, and THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM.

After feeling pretty silly for having over looked this totally obvious issue of the entry visas, the next step was deciding what I would do. It was 10:30 pm on Tuesday night. I was set to fly at 9:00 am on Thanksgiving Thursday. What to do? After considering what story I would tell in order to avoid looking completely stupid, Google, of course. Enter Vietnam-Visa.com. American passport holders are able to get a visa on entry it said. No way! [It is this sort of thing that perpetuates the existence of all the things that people hate about Americans, btw.] I filled in the form and paid US$21. And then guessed I would have to wait and see what would happen.

I did not look forward to admitting that I had made this mistake when people asked why I was NOT in Vietnam over the next few days, but the more I thought about it, a few days at home didn’t sound so bad. I became surprisingly detached from the outcome of this ordeal and just laughed at the way things go sometimes.

I went to bed.

When I got up the next morning I bumped into my neighbors who look after my cats when I travel and told them I might not need their help because I had done something so embarrassing.

“What’s that?”
“I forgot about my visa. I feel so dumb.”
“Oh stop! Who hasn’t done that?”
– wait, really?– She didn’t roll her eyes and acknowledge my idiocy. It was just, like, no big thing.

I smiled.

I called my parents on the way to yoga and told them the story. It was out of my hands, but I would know by 6 p.m. the day before I was supposed to travel if I would in fact be traveling. It was not so bad to admit it after all. I told my yoga studio that I didn’t think I would be in class on Thursday because I was supposed to be traveling but that I had forgotten about my visa so I might be there after all. They laughed and said they hoped they didn’t see me, but would hold a place for me anyhow. But they didn’t laugh AT me, just with me. Realizing that the issue I had about the visa was little to do with the actual issue and all about my embarrassment for being an idiot made the situation a totally different thing. I didn’t need to be in Vietnam for any reason, it would be nice to go, but I would go another time if this didn’t work out. I called Cathay and told them the situation and they told me that the reward ticket could easily be changed if it was not used. I called my hotel and told them what was up and they said no problem, just to let them know, there would be no cancellation fee.

I told my co-worker about all this and he said, “You live a charmed life.”

That may be so. But it certainly does not go without appreciation.

And then I got the visa.

At 4:00 p.m. I received an email with a letter attached saying that all I needed would be two passport sized photos, my valid US passport and US$25 and I was set to enter the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Just like that.

I woke up on Thanksgiving morning and packed my bag and headed out the Airport Express, where I got my train ticket, checked in my baggage, and got my passport photos all within about 20 meters. In less than ten minutes. It was that easy.

And so my worst habits have all been reinforced. With one little change: an American passport and a smile may open a lot of doors, but it is complete detachment from the expectation of what might lay on the other side of those doors – as well as from the reality that sometimes the door might not open – that makes all the difference.

Happy Thanksgiving from Saigon.

We had Thanksgiving with my mom and a few family members today. It was good to see her and visit with some of my family. My dad passed away several years ago and I miss him everyday.

I want to sincerely state that I am thankful for many things. Being born in this country and all of those that helped start and save this country over it’s history. I am thankful for my mom and dad, my family, my teachers my friends who helped me through the difficult times. I am thankful for many things including the good Americans that visit and comment here and all the other patriotic Americans who are trying to save this country. However, of all the people in my life, I most of all want to thank my mom.
My mom is almost 85, still fairly spry and has a everpresent great attitude. She cooked a large Thanksgiving meal for us and she was at her happiest doing so, doing for others, especially her family.

My mom became the oldest child after her older brother was killed by a car. She grew up in the country, just outside a small town in NC. She lived through the Great Depression and they were fortunate to grow most of their food. Even so, she has told me many stories of picking up coal along the side of railroad tracks, of traveling hobos begging for food.

My mother made excellent grades in school but had to drop out before finishing to help her family. She was a stay at home mom for us four children part of the time, but when she did work, she worked at jobs that people who didn’t finish high school got. My mother has always worked hard, whether tending to our needs or working outside the home. She never complained.

My mother continues to give to her family, her community and church and to those sick at home. She always has a smile to give and is always thinking of others. I believe that is much of the secret to her happiness. She is always thinking of others.

My mother worked hard and sacrificed so that I could attend school and college. So that I could get the better jobs.

I was truly blessed by God to have such a mother. I am very thankful.

Well, I decided I’d cook.

This is what I serve, although there are only two of us, now.

I had a chance to just go out, but? Dunno. Thanksgiving is sort of a huge thing for Americans…

Turkey, simple bread & onion and celery and sage dressing

Mashed potatoes and candied yams ala orange marmalade…

– Gravy!

Cranberries,

Tiny peas from a silver can

black olives, celery sticks

rolls

Pumpkin pie

I might make an apple pie too.

Editor’s note — I did custard pie — I invented it today — and a classic pumpkin –

the custard pie is three eggs, half cup sugar, I c. Milk, I c. Half and half , dash salt — a gigantic SPLASH of Myer’s rum and about a third of a cup of golden raisins plus vanilla — A Rum Raisin pie. (that was my mom’s fav flavor of ice cream) — miss her — miss all of them. We’ll see. Next up? Champagne! Soon.

ps: all of this is from scratch with exception of the peas

how I will accomplish…

have coffee

make cranberry sauce with boiling water and sugar — easy!

I have a smallish bird so stuffing is one loaf of white bread (I have used many kinds over time including sour dough!)

Saute several onions and a bunch of celery in butter while you are toasting the torn bread on a cookie sheet till dried — toss all this with poultry seasoning — salt and pepper — wash, stuff and truss.

Boil yams until soft and skins slip off — layer in a pan with butter and orange marmalade — as if for scalloped potatoes — bake in the last hours while turkey is finishing up

He does great mashed potatoes –skin and boil potatoes till soft, mash with butter and milk until like clouds.

Make pies ala martha pies and tarts book (a staple from the early years when I wanted to be a good wife)

—- her crusts and pies are really good, too.

the gravy is the last thing to do, in the pan after you have removed the turkey to a platter…

I miss all the relatives I used to do all this for today –

Also, I am just sick over the news at RD’s. Sick.

Many years ago the newspaper I worked for used to give all the employees bonuses and bags full of all the things for the dinner so that every employee could have one. Read that piece by Riverdaughter above and take a look at what has become of AMERICAN WORKPLACES.

Tragic.

I wish you and yours the best holiday — one of the MAJOR AMERICAN HOLIDAYS

and, hope you have enough to eat, and friends to share it with.

When I was a child we were always in fancy restaurants on the big holidays.

I started the tradition of this dinner when I was about 21? Something like that. I’ve made it in many kitchens over the years and even when I was a college student with hardly any money and very few pans.

Geez.

hugs and xxoo!

from me!

ps: got a laser printer and now I can print out the book to proof it — it’s for sale as soon as I rewrite.

Oh and, never trust anyone in politics who has to hire ghostwriters, no?

Pretty sad, no?

WRITE YOUR OWN BOOK!

From the St Louis Tea Party.

“Your hard work all summer deserves some love from national celebrities and experts–from people who really know to turn on a crowd. We didn’t really go out and get these people as much as they came in and got us.

We have GIGANTIC names in

Hard core SUPPORT THE TROOPS

Brilliant analysis CAP AND TRADE DEBUNKING

Internationally known CORRUPTION BUSTER

So, are you READY FOR THE NAMES??????

Pat Dollard: “Young Americans“

Pat Dollard has spent a huge chunk of his adult life living in combat zones. His documentary movie “Young Americans” premieres on Thanksgiving Day. He’s here in St. Louis to tell the Tea Party about the men and women on the front lines of the war on terror, the dedication and terror they face, and the Hollywood left who HATE DOLLARD for LOVING WARRIORS. In his own words:

I had about 15 employees, a wife, a daughter, and no one believed I was going to lock horns with Al Qaeda, especially because my only motivations were to keep more American civilians from dying, and to honor those who were already risking their lives for that very reason. Who does such a thing? But go I did, and like Kurtz, when I got back from the first three months, I sold the house, sold the kids, sold the car. Well, not the car. I love my H2. But I got out of the Hollywood agenting game, at a cost of about $10,000,000.00 in future income. And I had no savings. But I had to go back, to finish the work, to finish the story. There was nothing in the civilian world that provided the same sense of purpose. There was never a time when I felt like my life had much of a purpose, other than making money and indulging myself. Except for parenting. But some of us find jobs to be done that demand we not be home. I did.

Pat Dollard’s ACTIVE action teams have been INSTRUMENTAL in St. Louis’s summer of resistance. Let’s thank Pat for his work for the troops and his work for freedom.”

On second look, that heading is awfully similar to religious paraphernalia directed towards kids (“What is the meaning of Christmas?”) but maybe I’m feeling a little preachy… Today I’m reading and writing about Einstein, which is fun, and tonight Tam and I are going out to dinner, then meeting up with Diana to see Tegan & Sara (I think I’ve been writing “Teagan” in past blogs, I’m not sure why) So I’ve got a lot of things to be thankful for right off the top of my head. Tegan & Sara are pretty much at the top, both that they exist and that they’re in Berlin, and that their concert comes at a time when I am desperately in need of some good fun. But of course, Thanksgiving is more than that. As a celebration of the harvest, Thanksgiving is fundamentally about respect and thankfulness for being a part of something much larger than yourself. When you sit down at the table, you are taking part in an enormous enterprise. I think when I was in elementary school there was a push for the “Native American story” because people were seeking to add importance to a holiday that has a reputation for being all about food. And for some reason (many, actually, and not very hard to identify) a holiday that was simply about food was less serious than a fictional one about how settlers and Native Americans overcame their differences to break bread together. What a wonderful story we’ve created, justifying the history of our nation while pretending to acknowledge it.

But I think if you went up to a bunch of Americans (and Canadians, though their Thanksgiving is in October – because their harvest is earlier) they would tell you that Thanksgiving is about food and family. And, well, that sounds like a pretty wonderful idea for a holiday to me! This “enormous enterprise” is a web of interdependence, between family members as they prepare the meal, between the farmers who grow the food and the cooks, between the land and the labor and our table, heavy with bounty. It’s easy to commodify these relationships and see Thanksgiving only as a celebration of excess, which Americans love. More and more and more. You could have Thanksgiving this way, I guess. But I think it might actually be easier to acknowledge the many things that made your meal possible, though people might not being thinking literally about their food. With such busy lives, I imagine many people will be thankful today that their families were all able to schedule each other in, and with the economy the way it is, I think ‘grace’ will be said with fervency, an appeal to god by those who believe that we are small, clueless and not in charge.

I don’t disagree with many fundamental elements of religious prayer. I think it acknowledges that people are part of something larger than themselves. But you can find this elsewhere too. Compassion for others and an understanding of a greater system are biological necessities. We do not survive without them. Which is why Thanksgiving for me should be about a moral imperative to engage ourselves. Giving thanks is not a passive act. We are sustained, fueled, and enlivened by our wondrous meal and re-commissioned into our lives (again, not passively).

So, in light of this, I was reading about the Transition Network, which is a very loose organization of groups all over the world, focusing on preparing for the end of oil supplies. It could be very apocalyptic, and to be honest, some of their material has that flavor, not because they believe in end times or anything like that, but because it is so hard to imagine the world without this enormous oil supply. Our economic system is built on it. One of the things that drew me to Transition is that they are coming at alternative energy from a different, and I think more appropriate, direction than most of the stuff I’ve heard in the media. Most of the mainstream discourse on energy has been to reassure people that our current way of life will not fundamentally change; we will still take cars and planes everywhere, you’re still going to be able to get a banana in New England at any time of the year – it’s just that these endeavors will be fueled by something other than oil. This is seriously ridiculous and only a step away from pretending oil will never run out. It will run out in my lifetime, from what I’ve heard. And it will change everything. We get an incredible amount of energy from oil and this has created the energy-dependent lifestyle of the Western world (and arguably, if you want to talk about power, the whole world). We’re not going to find a magic technology that will simply fit into the role of oil. I don’t have any proof of this, but I do believe it as a rational and thinking person. The research I’m doing right now on science and literature has made me realize and appreciate the way that every moment in every field is connected to a thousand factors; that changes in one place changes everything else, and we can’t always predict what changes will occur and where. We’re not all going to trade in our current cars for electric ones and continue with our commutes.

Transition Los Angeles posted some interesting things to think about this Thanksgiving. One of them was to think about all the ways that you have benefited from oil energy today and be thankful (be thankful in the way you are when you know it will change). This is not just how much hot water you used, but the food you’ve eaten, the energy you’ve consumed. Another point was that today we should also look forward, both in our thoughts and in our actions. Preparing for the future isn’t about stocking up on canned food, it’s about learning how to can food. It comes back to Thanksgiving after all, giving thanks and making a promise to protect that which you are thankful for. Purposefully looking to the future, with the promise of intentional living. For me, when I think about the future and the skills needed to thrive in it, I find myself looking for abilities that aren’t completely built into the current power (and I mean this energy-wise, politically, economically, socially) systems. I find myself valuing skills that protect what I love and are flexible and adaptable, because the future – it’s much larger than anything I can imagine.

Happy Thanksgiving.

For long enough we all have known that Americans aren’t the smartest people in the world

For long enough we all have known that Americans aren’t the smartest people in the world… I mean, it’s amazing the percentage of them who still deny evolution as a fact… but this issue is part of a different post. Stupid people is everywhere and they seem to reproduce a lot faster than smart people… lol

However, here’s what I have to say about a specific case for American Stupidity:

Today, randomly, I ended up watching a video interview of Adam Lambert, a singer from a reality show called American Idol. Adam was a runner up of this singing contest and was best known because he was gay. Yes, he liked kissing and having sex with guys. Are you scared? Good, I’ll continue…

It seems that Adam kissed a guy in a presentation in the American Music Awards (which I’ve never seen since I don’t watch TV). Anyways, it seems Adam had a kissed a guy and did a short dramatization of an oral sex scene in front of the cameras of America.

Take a look at the interview:

It is really sad to listen to the reaction of the “average” American TV fan… it seems this song caused a very interesting reaction among the audience. First, the TV network ABC had to “blur” the image of the kiss before showing it on TV around 11pm… Their excuse? Because children could see it and freak out by the images!

And I mean, what parent would allow their children to watch TV at 11pm? And if so, why would a kiss be something bad?

Men and women have kissed for centuries and even longer… that’s what humans do to show how much they care for the people they are with. I can assure you that men & men – and women & women, have done the same thing to tell how they feel to those they love for the very same time. I can’t think of all the times I’ve wanted to do a “blur” effect on the heterosexual UGLY couples I’ve had to watch kissing in front of me…

I do have problem with ignorant, selfish, idiotic, religious, hypocrites and cynics… I really hate this people and consider them as stupid as a jelly fish.

However, at the end I was somehow happy to listen to this video. This guy, Adam, is a Pop star and I was astonished by his answers to the interview. Congrats to him for everything he said! I hope one day people will be smart enough to understand what morality really is; as well as to understand all the hurt that Religion & the idea of a God has had in our not so civilized “Civilization”.

If you’ve read this far I’m sure you won’t have a problem with this pic, take a look. To me he’s a normal guy. Isn’t he?

During the ceremony Wednesday, the president acknowledged that despite having reasons to be thankful, many families, this year, are also hurting financially.
“There’s no question this has been a tough year for America,” he said. “We’re at war. Our economy is emerging from an extraordinary recession into recovery. But there’s a long way to go and a lot of work to do.”

In an era of “new perils and new hardships,” Obama said Americans are “a people of endless compassion, boundless ingenuity, limitless strength. We’re the heirs to a hard-earned history and stewards of a land of God-given beauty. We are Americans. And for all this, we give our humble thanks — to our predecessors, to one another, and to God.”

The Bureau of Labor Statistics, a non-military department of the federal government, refers to Americans who aren’t members of the military, as “civilians.“

The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines a “civilian” as:
1: A specialist in Roman or civil law.
2 a: one not on active duty or in the armed services or not on a police or firefighting force.
2 b: OUTSIDER

The last definition is particularly revealing. Does the non-military Bureau of Labor Statistics really regard Americans who are not members of the military, or police or firefighting forces, as outsiders? That would include themselves, by definition.

Why the use of the military term “civilian,” to refer to Americans who aren’t members of the military? Why not a non-military classification such as the categories of Americans who aren’t members of the military, police or firefighters, and those who are?

If the majority of Americans are outsiders to their government, according to the terminology implied by definition of the Bureau’s classification system, then what does that say about the form of American government today?

Article II, Sec. 1, cl. 5 of the US Constitution
“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the
United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution,
shall be eligible to the Office of President. . .”

From the 20th Amendment to the US Constitution.
“or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify,
then the Vice President elect shall act as President until
a President shall have qualified;”

According to the US Constitution, the supreme law of the
land, Barack Obama is not President of the United States.
No Chief Justice administering the oath of office,
No oath sworn by a “president elect” makes one president.
There are 3 mandatory requirements to achieve a legal inauguration.

A qualified president elect.

Sufficient votes by the Electoral College.

Certification and count of Electoral College votes by
Congress

I am sick and tired of good, hard working Americans being insulted, being ignored, being attacked for questioning the eligibility of Barack Obama. People that are supposed to look after our best interest and the best interest of this country, are taking their cues from political agendas, lazily accepting status quo or being bought. This includes the Mainstream Media, State Election officials, US Congressmen, judges of all ranks and certainly the Obama camp of left wing socialists. Even the best of those in the media, such as Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck have either stayed away from this constitutional crisis issue or joined in belittling “birthers.”

Many of us are guessing why those on Fox are not covering this issue. The consensus, I believe, is that Fox Management has said no to covering this issue. Even if the people doing research for Fox were restrained or bought off, O’Reilly, Hannity and Beck are not stupid enough to not get it.

So, therefore, The Citizen Wells blog is going to do two things.

1. Each day, a fact sheet, truths and facts that are self evident about Obama’s eligibility including interviews with Sarah Obama, Barack’s Kenyan grandmother, facts about Obama’s birth and reports from media in the US and Africa. This will serve as an Internet Billboard and will be posted everyday until either someone in the MSM accurately reports on this or action is taken by a judge or elected official.

2. I am issuing a challange to Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly and others in the media to step up and do their jobs. I will answer any questions they may have, debate them and I challenge them to dispute the facts.

To my knowledge, the only person in the MSM who has covered Obama’s eligibilty issue to any extent is Lou Dobbs and he did this on CNN of all places. Mr. Dobbs consistently stated his no brainer question again recently on the O’Reilly show on Fox. Lou Dobbs on CNN earlier referred to the COLB presented by the Obama camp as a piece of paper referring to another piece of paper. He then simply stated why doesn’t Obama present an authentic birth certificate. We applaud you Mr. Dobbs. This is such a common sense basic question to ask yet few in the media have asked it.

The eligibilty issues surrounding Barack Obama have been extensively covered on this blog and many other sites. To not cover this on the mainstream media is certainly unprofessional, un American and I believe criminal.

I am challenging those in the media to do their jobs, to serve their customers, their fellow Americans and cover this crisis. You are being out scooped and many of you are going down the tubes fast. That is no surprise. I am also challenging those on Fox, the only TV network to seriously question Obama and his agenda. O’Reilly, Hannity and Beck, if you do not cover this story, it will eventually rise to the surface and you will be lumped together with the masses of biased, leftist, talking heads that pretend to do journalism and reporting.

I am personally challenging you. Anyone have the guts and integrity to take me and the American people on?

Wells

A recent survey showed that 9.2 percent of all Americans fall under the category of abusers of alcohol or drugs – yet just 1.6 percent of the population received any kind of treatment for addiction. 1/3 of those reported that they tried to get treatment but could not.

Certainly, with all the resources this country has to offer, we can do better job of helping those addicted.

It starts with learning the truth about drugs – why people take them and how addiction works. Then one can understand what kind of treatment will work, based on understanding.

Don’t rely on the “experts”. Gain understanding and think for yourself.

Learn about drugs and treatment that works at www.drugsno.com. Let us know if you are one of those who tried to get drug treatment and couldn’t.

Doug Hoffman, who narrowly lost the congressional race in NY District 23 to Bill Owens, has declared

Doug Hoffman, who narrowly lost the congressional race in NY District 23 to Bill Owens, has declared that the election is over and there will be no recount. This comes after numerous errors were committed election night, Nancy Pelosi certifying Bill Owens the winner, before he was certified by the state of New York, in time to vote for the Health Care Bill, and known software bugs or tampering with of the controversial Sequoia voting machines.

Doug Hoffman, on one level this was your decision to make. However, we are in different times. This is not the country your parents knew.

We have entered a new world, a post Nazi takeover, Orwellian world where being polite or naively playing the gentleman card as Nevile Chamberlain did with the Germans, will result in catastrophe. On a higher level, Mr. Hoffman, this is the decision of New York residents and ultimately the American people. Regardless of your actions or your next move, this serious breach of the public trust, must be investigated. As I and others have stated, Barack Obama, the Obama camp and Obama thugs, including, but not limited to ACORN and SEIU, stole the Democratic primaries and caucuses through election fraud and intimidation. With warnings issued early in 2008 about voting machines and possible control of them by Chavez’s Venezuela or muslim countries, and now the evidence from the NY District 23 election, God only knows the extent that voting machines altered vote counts in 2008. We must protect our elections going forward.

We must have an investigation.

Dear Friends,
Today, Tuesday, November 24, 2009, it is with a heavy heart that we declare this election over. We will formally end this election and not ask for a recount. This was a difficult choice to make because so many people have put their faith, hope and aspirations into our campaign.
Yes, there seem to have been many vote counting problems, missed vote counts and, as was recently reported by the Gouvernour Times, software problems in the computerized voting machines. Despite these incidents, I do not believe the voters of NY-23, or New Yorkers in general, would be well-served by a disruptive and costly recount that would most likely not change the election outcome.
I know many are disappointed and even angry. To those I say now is not the time to look back, but to focus on the future and ensure that next year we win back this district decidedly. Know this decision was not an easy one. I did not want to let down those who worked so hard, donated so much and shared their enthusiasm for retaking our country with common-sense conservative values.
And rest assured, our energies are now directed toward 2010. This election, in which a third party candidate narrowly lost, showed that principles do matter. Special interests do have an Achilles’ heel, the American people. Main-street conservatism’s voice is now echoing through the government chambers and boardrooms that shape America. By most measures, this campaign was a success and I have you all to thank for this. And all of us have to thank the Conservative Party of New York State for nominating a candidacy like ours.
We take away lessons from this year’s campaign that will make us stronger and more competitive in the future. Next time we will be better prepared. Many people forget that our campaign only began in earnest three months ago. Most campaigns of this stature take at least a year to prepare. In three months, we almost toppled an entrenched political system and successfully defied the conventional thinking of the elite political punditry. Citizen government is making a comeback in America.
I thank everyone who participated in this campaign and urge each one of you to stand with me in the future. We have a calling that we must answer. My opponent in this race quickly abandoned the promises he made to his voters. Within the first hour of being sworn in by Nancy Pelosi, Bill Owens broke 4 campaign promises — so much for change in Washington. We must resoundingly defeat him next year and, with your help, I promise to help restore our nation’s faith in elected officials when we win.
But there is more to do than just win back NY-23 in 2010. We must work to help other like-minded citizen candidates win across the country. We need to make time to help other candidates who are working for the principles we hold dear — other fiscal, common-sense conservatives. Together we can successfully take back our great nation, one legislator and one member at a time. We need more than one common-sense conservative voice in the echo chamber of liberal, spend thrift cacophony if we are to redirect our great country.
I would also like to commend those election commission officials who worked tirelessly and may have taken offense to an unfortunate and poorly worded fundraising email that was sent out toward the end of our campaign. As we tried to make sense of the false vote counts and stories of software viruses in the voting machines, we never intended to imply the election commissioners had somehow acted improperly. This was never our intention and, on the contrary, the election commissioners went above and beyond to uphold their duty to ensure a fair election took place. I owe them a debt of gratitude for all they have done.
So where to now? Full speed ahead to 2010. This gives us time to carefully articulate and communicate thoughtful positions on issues that impact the great people of our district and ensure that our campaign promises are NOT broken. Best of all, it allows me to work hand-in-hand with the many supporters who shared their ideas, their concerns and their dreams with me.
We need to continue to stand united because we cannot spend our way out of recession or tax our way to prosperity. We must continue to fight to protect our liberties and protect those who are yet to be born. We must protect our country against terrorists and protect the sanctity of marriage. We must fix our corrupt tax code, our immigration policy and our educational system. Most of all, we must defend the free enterprise system that made America the greatest and most prosperous country in the world. Although I’m conceding an election today, I do it with the certainty that we will win back this seat a year from now. I am certain of this because our mission is too big, the country’s problems too dire and the American people are too smart.
Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do. “We the people” are retaking America.

Doug Hoffman, this is bigger than you or the election in NY. We are at a crucial point in the history of this country. The actions we take now will determine the security and pursuit of life, liberty and happiness that our descendants and ultimately the entire world will enjoy.

Mr. Hoffman, you have chosen to end the election. I urge you to not end the cause.

Americans raid settlements

Ben Kaspit, Maariv, November 25 2009 [page 5]

The Americans are taking off the gloves and going into the field: In the past few days, American diplomats, who apparently belong to envoy George Mitchell’s team, have started to travel through Judea and Samaria and tour the Jewish settlements there, holding interviews and inquiries with the local leaders and other settlers, in order to get the feel of the situation on the ground.

The first of these diplomats arrived on Monday in the settlement Efrat. This is Cindy-Noga Trin, a diplomat stationed at the US consulate in Jerusalem, who appears to belong to envoy Mitchell’s team. She visited Efrat, a large Jewish settlement, and interviewed Council Chairman Oded Revivi at length, and four additional residents (one of whom is a relative of Ari Harrow, the prime minister’s bureau chief).

Trin arrived in a bulletproofed van, accompanied by a driver and security guard, and was businesslike and polite. She took out a thick notebook and filled it diligently. Every word that came out of the mouth of Council Chairman Revivi, a lieutenant colonel in reserves, who was elected to his post about a year ago, was written down and filed. “We want to get a feel on the situation on the ground,” she said to Revivi, “my next stops are Kiryat Arba, and then Tapuah junction.”

The conversation was similar to a cross-examination. The bizarre part of the event was when the US diplomat repeatedly asked Revivi, “why aren’t you continuing to build?” and “who is preventing you from building?” Revivi explained that Efrat had not received building permits for the past eight years.

Trin persisted: “The city is supposed to reach 30,000 residents, you have master plans here, who is stopping construction? And how long haven’t you received permits?” Revivi explained: “Here, in Givat Hazayit, in the heart of the settlement, there is no expansion of the perimeter line, there are plans here for 400 housing units, the Housing Ministry completed the infrastructure at an investment of millions, but the land is not being marketed.” Trin asked, “why?” and Revivi said that he had no idea, and showed her two other hills (Givat Hadagan and Givat Hatamar) with the same problem.

Trin took an interest in the way of life in the settlement, the sources of livelihood and the relations with the Arab neighbors. Revivi planned a tour for her in the nearby village, Wadi Nis, and coordinated the matter with the Arab residents, but Trin’s appearance with a large bulletproofed vehicle and security guards caused the village residents to change their minds.

Revivi told the American diplomat about the good neighborly relations with the village residents. “There is no fence between Efrat and the Arab villages. Together with our Arab neighbors, we fought against the fence and won,” he said. “This is the only place where Arabs and Jews demonstrated today and prevented a fence. Our Arab neighbors have called twice to warn us against terror cells that were on their way here, and the warnings proved to be true. We provide Wadi Nis with doctors, medicines and water, we renovate their water lines, they work here, we visit there, the relations are excellent and there are friendships and a lot of mutual help.”

Revivi told Trin that although the American initiative looked like a clever way to bypass the relationship between the governments, he was very glad for it. “President Obama is trying to solve this conflict by means of satellite footage,” he explained. “If he were to go out into the field, see things up close, understand that we live here with our neighbors in coexistence and study the everyday life here, he would understand the complexity of the story better.”

The meeting lasted for more than an hour, in which Cindy-Noga Trin filled a notebook in small handwriting. The feeling, Revivi said later, was of a painstaking and detailed cross-examination. She did not miss a word, and wrote everything down. When she asked him who was stopping the construction, Revivi raised an eyebrow, since it is the Americans, and mainly Trin’s boss George Mitchell, who are the address for this question, but he answered nonetheless. Afterwards, Trin met with Boaz Columbus, principal of the high school in Karmei Tzur, and with Ora Yanai and Rahel Goshen, Efrat residents who belong to the founding generation of the settlement. The last one to be interviewed was Eve Harrow, a relative of Ari Harrow, who deals with public relations.

This surprising visit to Efrat is supposed to be the first of a series. The Americans are descending on [the settlements] in the field. Mitchell is determined to understand what is happening on the ground, and to compare what is happening with what he is being told. All this is taking place a few days before Prime Minister Netanyahu’s expected announcement of a construction freeze in the settlements—an announcement that will probably not satisfy the Palestinians. Mitchell may be trying now to rectify the errors of the past and to check what is being done on the ground before he issues statements and demands that could complicate the situation of the sides.
