I was just admiring one of my crystals and noted it looked a little weary. Just like us, our crysta

I was just admiring one of my crystals and noted it looked a little weary. Just like us, our crystals absorb, bump up against and mix it up with so many other energies that sometimes they need some loving! Time to recentre, regroup and release all that has been taken on that is weighing them down.

It was then I realised that I dont always get a chance to recharge my beauties every full moon (which they love, by the way) as I just have too many to take out. My realisation came when I put my beauty in the morning sun and it began to shine and sparkle and get its vibrant energy back. (Please remember crystals are like us… 15mins in the sun revitalises, while all day can see us prune like… please be Sun aware)

When recharge crystals to give them renewed energy and there are many quick, simple and free ways to do this:

Firstly the free ways!

Placing your crystals in morning sunlight for an hour or so, will charge most crystals. After a sun bath on your windowsill, your crystals will be noticeably brighter. It can get very hot in the day and some crystals will fade, darken or crack under too much heat, so remember morning sun only. You can also place your crystals on the earth for an additional charge while recharging them under the Sun, Moon or Stars.

Placing your crystals out under moonlight is a gentle and penetrating method for recharging your crystals. The full moons’ light is the brightest in its cycle, thus giving a greater charge to your crystals.

Placing them out in any dynamic weather conditions such as a thunderstorm provides an awesome electromagnetic charge to your crystals.

The power of intent or creative visualisation – seeing white light acting as a cleansing or recharging agent such as a waterfall or column of light and all energies that are not of the crystal are being released. As you do this the crystal is being charged up under the white light. You will get a sense of when the crystal is recharged.

And these ways require tools:

Placing your crystals on an Amethyst cluster is great for recharging jewellery and smaller crystals. You can also place your crystals on a Clear Quartz cluster that you have programmed to recharge any crystals you put on it.

Placing your crystals on a Selenite beam brings them back to their sparkling selves in no time. Selenite cleanses and zoops up your Crystals. you’ll get a sense of when its ready. Now I have seen Selenite sacrifice its glorious, luminous nature to take the darker energies from other crystals it is cleansing, never to be the same. So please use a piece that wont break your heart if it changes. I use a big log or a sheet of Selenite. Depending on the size and shape of the crystals I need to charge.

Crystal singing bowls are another great way to shake out all the lower frequencies and see your Crystals buzzing happily after a song or two. The bowls can be expensive to buy depending on their sizes and some people can’t stand the moving tones… they get on peoples nerves… but the crystals do not mind!

Placing crystals in a Pyramid. Though I am not an expert on pyramids, I do know that the very presence of a pyramid creates a downward spiral of energy that flows from its tip into its centre filling it with energy. In fact, the word “Pyramid” in Greek is made of two words Pyr=fire or heat or energy, and Amid= middle or center or nucleus. There are lots of special copper pyramids that are of supreme quality and calculated with Sacred Geometric measurements thus providing stellar energetic focusing and harnessing of energy.

Placing crystals on Tesla Purple Plates. Tesla plates are the oldest Tachyon products whose energies work for an unlimited time recharging themselves conitously using ‘ free energy’.

Placing your Crystals in a grid. Now this can be a grid you create yourself with other crystals, it can be on a sacred geometry pattern such as the Sri Yantra which is known to attract energy to it or a Metatrons’ cube / Star of David / Flower of Life / Tree of Life image. You can download and print images and then place your crystals on top of them.

When your crystals start to change their appearance, meaning they start to look dull or cloudy or perhaps they just feel less vibrant, then it’s time to choose any of these techniques that you feel comfortable with and watch your crystals come to life!

OH Alb Valley Railway, how much do I have to pay for privilege of the tracks and a swift gettaway? My lover lay behind me, probably sleeping as we speak. I want to go where I won’t whisper; I am hard granite with a streak of brilliant quartz that must’ve fooled her. Babe but amethyst is cheap. She sought me like a new cure for a problem that ran deep, and much too deep for me to handle but I like to take these things. She’d blow me like a candle and I’d listen to her ring and rattle sob and cry, lying naked side by side: silhouettes in tv light, trying to work up the might to move my arms so I can fall, answer the softly beckoned call, to go to sleep and leave it all for mornings, when the light streams in and lets you see that no one wins and everyone is lonely and thinks no one understands.

She was probably lonely but not much like me because I think she kept it bottled, tightly like she does. Lonely people see it deep down in each other’s eyes; they hear it rasped and breathed away in otherwise nondescript sighs. And I met her at a party and thought, fuck it, what’s to lose? We lived like Caspians for seasons, watching early morning news and meeting friends at local concerts, getting drunk and probably high. Every word of every story that I told her was a lie but still she pressed herself against me, and all my friends know I’m weak. She pressed her finger to my lip and told me sharply not to speak.

Life is full of surprises. Even though I vowed never to return to the cursed bookstore, a few weeks later I had to go back. Chiara needed to buy a few crystals and I joined her, as this was my chance to get some sun. I had no clue we were heading for the magic bookstore. By the time we arrived I felt too ashamed to turn back and leave. This time I entered. The place was very different from the usual, normal bookstores. And –believe me- I have patronized plenty of those. The air was permeated by the sweet smell of incense, while by the front door I could see several tables with crystals, wands and budhist objects. Only at the back of the store have I managed to locate a small library of books. The titles mentioned several topics I was not familiar with: angels, light, clairvoyance, witchcraft, etc. Only a handful of titles referred to crystal healing. I flicked through them hoping for… I do not know what. They were full of pictures of crystal formations and persons relaxing on massage beds. Or they included drawings indicating the sources of energy within the body. Or they analysed the value of light in healing. At this point I started wondering whether I lived on the same planet with the authors of these books. Obviously not! I retraced my steps and I visited the tables with the crystals. Among them the amethysts attracted my attention. I took a piece in my hands and wondered at the perfection of its structure. Even if I was not convinced about its healing value, I bought it then and there. The crystal love story has begun.

MY name is Ray Calcott and I was an Able Seaman on HMS Amethyst. On April 20, 1949, at around 8am, we weighed anchor and started to move up the Yangtze River, in China, to relieve HMS Consort on guard in Nanking. We had been under way for about 20 minutes when we came under fire from the north bank of the river by communist forces. Forewarned, and knowing what might happen, the skipper had ordered the quarterdeck to have a Union Jack painted on it so that aircraft could see our nationality. Canvas was stitched together and a very large Union Jack was painted on them, one for the port side and one for the starboard side. These were rolled up on an oar from the whaler and secured with sailmakers twine, and were then secured to the bottom of the guard rails.Immediately that we came under fire, the skipper ordered the lashings to be cut and the massive Union Jacks were unfurled so that no one could mistake what country we were from.At this time I was on the quarterdeck and dashed to my Action Station, which was ‘A’ Gun. At this point the shore battery kept on firing, hitting us at will. ‘A’ and ‘B’ Guns could not bear, and only ‘X’ Gun was able to fire, but was soon put out of action. When the wheelhouse took a direct hit, the wheel went over to port, the telegraphs were struck, and so we went aground on Rose Island.Movement was restricted on the upper deck, as snipers on the shore and their main armament continued to fire on us.As the wounded were being taken below, the First Lieutenant (who had assumed command) ordered the crew ashore, asking for about 24 able-bodied men to remain to take care of the wounded. Some men swam ashore, and some were ferried in the port whaler.A short time later the telegraphist Jack French came back on board to do the necessary signals. It was then discovered that there were many more men who had stayed on the ship than originally believed, as we were uncertain of the numbers who had swum ashore. We heard that HMS Consort was coming towards us at full speed and we prepared to be towed off the river bank. The speed at which she was travelling rocked the ship, but we were still unable to get off the mud.Consort turned, and continued to fire broadsides, but she sustained a lot of damage and casualties, and so had to continue her journey to Shanghai. That night, we jettisoned as much heavy gear as possible from the fo’c’s’le and, after several tries, we eventually managed to release the ship from the river bank.It was decided to continue towards Nanking and we found what was considered a safe anchorage. The following day we received a signal to say that the HMS London and the HMS Black Swan were coming to escort us down the river, but they suffered the same fate as Consort and had to withdraw. At around 4pm on April 21 a Sunderland Flying Boat arrived with a doctor and medical supplies, as our own doctor had been killed. The guns from the shore opened up and the aircraft was forced to take off.A Chinese doctor came aboard to help the RAF doctor and they decided that the wounded had to be taken ashore as soon as possible. The Chinese doctor said that he would arrange things. So at midnight it was decided that five wounded and one able bodied person to assist the wounded would be ferried ashore in the sampan (a small boat).I was in the first sampan ashore, the wounded were off loaded and put onto the river bank and the sampan went back to the ship for more wounded. When it returned with the wounded there was no able-bodied person aboard, and so it continued until all the wounded, with the exception of No. 1 Lt Weston, were ashore. There I was, all alone, with 19 seriously wounded and no sign of anyone else.I had noted during the daylight hours that there was a small army camp about a couple of miles from where we landed and I told the wounded that I was going to check out this camp to see if I could find some help. After a while I came back with about 40 men and 20 stretchers. We started to walk to Chinkiang and after approximately three to four miles, I spotted some white hats in the distance. We came to a halt and I went over to them and asked if there was a British naval officer there and a voice asked if I was from the Amethyst and I replied “Yes sir”. He said: “Thank god, we have been looking for you.”It was Lt Commander Kerans, and with him was Brigadier Dewar-Durie, a Canadian who was fluent in Chinese, Commander Packard, an American doctor and his assistant, and a senior Chinese naval officer with medical supplies. At this point I handed over my wounded to them.Lt Commander Kerans and I tried to signal the ship, as it was under way, but no one saw us.We rejoined the wounded and walked a further four miles over a mountain and met some lorries which had been placed at our disposal. We arrived in Chingkiang railway station to board the last train to Shanghai.I was informed that the Captain and A B Winters had not survived the journey. We arrived in Shanghai and were met by American naval staff and ambulances and taken to their hospital. The next day the wounded were taken on board the hospital ship Repose.I joined HMS London and then HMS Belfast and after a short while we set sail for Hong Kong. I rejoined HMS Amethyst when she escaped down river.

These last weeks have been all about custom orders..

I am sooo happy people are getting ready for Christmas early and it’s just such a nice feeling to know a person chose something I made thinking of a special person.

I have to begin with this one, made for one of my favorite customers..

Such a beautiful stone with freswater pearls and for the back of it she wanted stars.. so I made this and it looks like the stars going to the planets on the side . She can wear it either way ..

I’m so in love with this pendant that I really want to make me a similar one, I have several big pieces of turquoise .. She also got this ring with amethyst, flowers and pearls.

There’s 2 tiny balls of silver on each side of the stone, this ring gives the effect of stacked rings but it’s just one piece.

Then I had to make a little twist set :

Oh and these huuuge pearl posts.. 12mm. For earrings like these is better to make handmade earring backs so they are more confortable and can hold the weight of the front..

Look at the difference between the posts bought in a store and the handmade ones..

I am done now with all the custom orders for the week so I have a little time off aside from the Etsy orders to start making Christmas gifts for my relatives.. I have a HUGE family and this year I’m spending Xmas with them so well everything from Grandmas, aunts, wifes of my uncles, friends it’s a lot so I’m starting earlier

I made this little pinky ring to list sometime this weekend.. turquoise and garnet in a pretty small hammered band. It has kind of an Artisan feel, the alst time I went to Guatemala I kept seeing tiny sterling balls everywhere and people pretty much work and try to adorn the sides of the stones.. giving it a very rustic feel.

Now I’m off to get some coofeeeeee and take the rest of my afternoon off!!

I have been playing in the studio all week, or rather I should say, I was a bit frustrated in the studio this week. Every time I would start getting frustrated I would just start singing to the top of my lungs…I hope the neighbors could not hear me because they would be like what is wrong with that lady!! Believe me I can not carry a tune, oh well I don’t care, makes my heart soar anyway. So the reason for the frustration was the casting I was trying to teach myself to do, there is quite a bit of a learning curve that is for sure, but persistance pays off and if any of you know me, you know that when I am challenged with something new to do, I will eventually figure it out, it will not get the best of me. I must say that I am quite happy with the outcome. This opens the doors for my creativity and designs in a way that I have been dreaming about for a long time. Whooo HOOOOO… I love the whole creative process…from thought, design, and creation.

Simply put, amethyst is a purple variety of quartz. Impurities in the quartz, such as ferric iron and possibly manganese. Somehow, science has a way of taking the mystical portion away from just about anything. Amethyst is much more than a simple crystal.

Amethyst has been a precious stone for thousands of years. The name comes from a-(not) and -methustos (intoxicated). Amethyst literally means “not drunk” since the ancient Greeks and Romans believed it had the power to keep one from feeling the effects of wine. They would make charms and drinking vessels out of amethyst believing it could keep them from getting drunk.

There are stories about how amethyst got it’s purple color. Most involve Dionysis (the Greek god of wine) turning a beautiful woman into crystal and then weeping tears of wine over her because of what he has done (ancient gods seem to have a very ADD quality about them) thus turning the crystals purple.

Today, amethyst and other crystals are better understood. There is no evidence to suggest that wearing an amethyst crystal will keep you from getting a hangover, but there is evidence that amethyst works in concert with your bodies natural electromagnetic field to induce healing and tranquil feelings. Amethyst can also be used in meditation to channel your thoughts and open blocked energy paths.

Whatever your feelings, amethyst is a beautiful crystal with more than it’s fair share of mystery and romance.

Mystical Charm hopes you have a wonderful holiday season full of fun and family.

Review: “…I felt like being reborn… no matter what else I read, what great books, the simple fact that I am sure you are real. And… the more I was reading… the more liberated I felt somehow… After reading it you can never be the same… you are joyful. And you begin to love yourself. And accept yourself. The hook is your sincerity. The need to still be there… in your fight in order to see more about myself. And while I was reading… indeed, I also realised it was about loneliness. I thought that a magikian is one who learns about himself, who discovers himself and who sees the world reflecting itself in every human being… or a Goddess in every person. But as I went on reading, I realised that you never discover yourself until you don’t see, but actually feel the world as within yourself.”

I love this little flower design that I have etched onto copper. I have previously used this design in some other pieces and also transferred it to silver. But today I really wanted to play with combining the copper and sterling, I just love to melt, shape and spread metal to see what I get. This little piece I have added an amethyst cabochon and a twisted silver wire band. She is quite rustic, delicate, feminine and a bit different. I am quite pleased with her. These are made to order and if anyone would like to have one that is the combined metals or straight silver with your birthstone just send me an email.

OK so now back to some more etching…tomorrow I will be playing with a couple of techniques that I have never tried before…more to come on that later…have to see how it turns out.

1. Guerlain Cherry Blossom Collection – Cherry Blossom Blush & Eyeshadow Quad Ombrelles

I don’t think I really need an explanation here. Just look at them!! I have to admit, I’m one of those suckers who’ll buy anything just because it looks nice, but Guerlain products do have a reputation for being pretty good. They also have a reputation for being very expensive (anywhere from $40 to $80 for eyeshadow quads and $40 to $50 for blushes)… but that’s a whole ‘nother story. These don’t come out for a while (Spring I believe), so I have time to save. Not that that’s ever happened before!

2. Guess Women’s Doren High Top Sneaker

These totally scream “edgy” and “rocker,” right? Which is so me! …not.

At all.

But I’m still totally digging these kicks. I’m kind of attracted to any clothing item with lips on it, which probably has some Freudian connotation I don’t really want to know about….

3. Opi Designer Series (DS) Nail Polish in Extravagance and Amethyst

Narrowing the OPI DS series down to two favorites took about an hour, and I’m still not even sure if these are my top two. It’s that amazing! The DS series polishes are supposedly “infused with diamond dust” or something like that – I’m not sure what exactly goes into these polishes, but the people at OPI are sure doing something right! This series collectively makes up my favorite bunch of holos. I just discovered them recently and I definitely plan on trying them out for myself some time soon.

Happy Halloween

… to all my American gals and guys out there! Or maybe not just American…? I remember 5 years ago when I was living in Germany there were some kids who went trick-or-treating, but I don’t know if it ever really caught on (despite the fact that I could easily just ask my sister, who lives there ). Anyways, I hope you’re having a good night, whatever you’re doing! I filled my obligatory teenage-partying duties last night, so tonight I’m just staying in and handing out candy, and finally ordering the makeup that’s been sitting in my Sephora.com shopping cart since last month. (For those of you who don’t know, Sephora.com is discounting all their makeup if you enter code FF2009 at checkout, but only until November 2nd, so hurry! 20% off FTW!)

THE REVELATION PAINTING-A MYSTERY REVEALED This is a true revelation about The Revelation Painting.

THE REVELATION PAINTING-A MYSTERY REVEALED

This is a true revelation about The Revelation Painting. Throughout history it has been missed and will change religion, as well as history as we know it to be regarding Revelation in the bible. After working on this painting for the past 11 years I realize exactly how something of this magnitude was missed. Upon crushing stones for the painting I began to see how the colors created something very familiar although it was not fully apparent at first. Initially I saw the stones of the twelve foundations just as anyone else but then started to see a pattern. Intermittently within the pattern some stones seemed out of place. I began to research the origins of the stones, ancient known colors, their original names, ancient descriptions and then I realized what the stones meant. A story unfolded before my eyes!

The first stone of the twleve foundations is Jasper (please see the blog on Jasper and subsequent stones). I imagined a “New City” in the sky; the heavens and thought the correct stone was Ocean Jasper; a blue stone. I began requesting Ocean Jasper from all over the world. It was through a dream that I realized my mistake only 10 years later. A dream lead to the discovery and it was as though a tape recorder played the sentence: “His face shone like the sun, as a precious gemstone as clear as crystal; a Jasper stone.” Day and night the words taunted me. I researched Jasper; a quartz and realized that it was the clear, brilliance of quartz crystal which reflects small rainbows within it similar to a diamond effect! What better a stone to signify the pure cleanliness, shine and glory of God himself? A city which “shines like the sun”.

Sapphire followed but the common blue sapphire was not correct either. Upon researching the colors of Sapphire, I was in awe to realize that red Sapphire is a Ruby! I placed a Ruby for the second stone of the foundations and threw caution to the wind. It was a very expense risk and the first time I smashed a ruby into shards I thought I would pass out but interestingly enough, it was comfortable and extremely natural. Mingling ruby with the quartz began to create a fading effect, like dry pigments; the richer the mixing the darker the color, so a small amount caused a pink effect fading to a rich, translucent red-the hallmark of the brilliance only Ruby has. Little did I realize at that time the translucency also played a significant roll in the meaning of the New City and the twelve foundation stones.

The third stone, Chalcedony was also known for its sky blue, heavenly color. Now, against the red and clear it was obvious that the blue was incorrect. According to the pattern of color I was trying to achieve it was apparent the Chalcedony was minimally red-orange, if not solidly red. I researched Chalcedony and once again was surprised to find that red is a rare color of the stone. The red of Chalcedony is more opaque that the Ruby. When I looked at the red color it reminded me of blood; the red-orange color of blood and it was like the brilliance of God was bleeding, fading like a slow bleed. It was only destiny that the next stone-Emerald was red. I battled over my theory and knew that at one time Emerald had to have been a red stone. I started from the beginning.

Emerald is a Beryl. Beryl’s come in all colors, including red. After intermittently learning about stones, it was when the economic crisis in the United States prompted me to start collecting a “nest egg”, something that would always have value throughout time like gold, platinum, precious gemstones… I looked for the rarest gemstone in the world and found beyond my wildest imagination red Beryl, a red “Emerald” or Bixbite! I still faced the delimma of why the only Emerald I had ever known was green. I found that in the 1800s green Beryl was separated from the family and man called it Emerald! I had found the discrepancy amongst the stones and within the fade from translucency to opaque, the deepest red of Bixbite is the color of blood! My New City was bleeding!

What is the most powerful sacrifice made for humanity in the bible? Jesus shed his blood and died for our sins so that we will have everlasting life. Everlasting life in God’s New City! How appropriate for a New City-God’s New City, a new and pure beginning to shine in his image first and foremost. Secondly, to never let us forget the sacrifice which was made-Jesus’ blood and ultimately his life? The first six foundations show glory, a slow bleed, a vanishing bleed through Sardonyx and Sardius (Carnelian) turning red-orange to orange, and the seventh stone (a division stone from one message to another yet overlapping to connect the meanings of a promise), is Chrysolite-gold, like the streets of the New City shiny like glass.

The following colors after Chrysolite are the seven colors of the rainbow in their correct order. A rainbow signifies a “promise” as noted in the story of Noah’s Arch. Personally I would imagine that within the New City there would include a promise of purity, overall good and God’s plan. As I have stated before: I am not religious but I am learning to make my own decisions. If I were God I suppose I would have hidden astounding clues within my work which is what prompted the many mysteries within The Revelation Painting. It is an exciting time and Revelation is rising!

Revelation is about sevens and mysteries. There are seven colors in a rainbow. The seventh stone from top to bottom in the mentioned in the foundations is Chrysolite which signifies a division line within the foundation stones between two messages.

JASPER (QUARTZ)
Rev. 21:11 …“It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like Jasper, clear as crystal.”

JASPER-QUARTZ “As clear as crystal”

SAPPHIRE (RUBY)
Every color of the stone Corundum is considered a ”Sapphire” except for red. The red Sapphire is a Ruby.
Translucent red fading from the clear…starting to bleed…

SAPPHIRE (RED) RUBY

CHALCEDONY

EMERALD
A Beryl. In the 1800’s, man removed the green Beryl from the Beryl group and called it an Emerald. Is this the Emerald mentioned in the foundations of the New City? It fits perfectly into the scheme of color and meaning.
RED Beryl-Bixbite, the rarest gemstone in the world!
The feedback about this stone is amazing, many people are attracted to it compared to other stones of the painting and ask constantly what kind of stone it is. Why would that be?Why does the stone fall in this position within the foundations? Does it symbolize the rarity of Jesus’ blood? Only 60 pounds of this rare stone was ever mined!
(This gem is typically heavily included, opaque, and the faceted Gem is very expensive. You could expect to pay $20,000 to $25,000 for a one (1) carat Red Beryl; RED EMERALD!)

SARDONYX
Blood (red blood cells and yellow plasma)

The New City built by GOD will shine in the image of God’s glory (as noted above-the “shine”) as Jesus’ blood flows to let us never forget the sacrifice he made. The blood separated by the golden division line from blood to the seven (remaining five) rainbow colors in their correct order, of a promise of God’s love.

THE REVELATION PAINTING
Please note the most of the stones mentioned have a spectrum of colors, which exhibit fading and transitional properties from one stone to another, therefore one color of the rainbow to the next, e.g. A Ruby may be represented in pink to red in various shades and a Topaz can range in the green-blues, among other colors. Amethyst can be seen in darkest purple to violet to an almost clear (among other colors), which could be considered blending with the clear Jasper and starting the process all over again.
