I just read this on Worldnet Daily and can’t believe my eyes. What is wrong with Lou? Politics already? If this is it then he might have just lost a lot of conservative votes while courting the hispanic vote. I am very disappointed in Lou Dobbs. He might as well stayed on CNN if he’s going to do this.

What the … ? Lou Dobbs wants to legalize illegals

Ex-CNN anchor suddenly champions amnesty, ripped as ‘pathetic sellout’

Former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs, the illegal immigration opponent with possible presidential aspirations, is stunning many today as he recasts himself as a champion of Hispanic immigrants, now looking to legalize millions of illegal workers in the United States.

Despite his long-held opposition to “amnesty,” Dobbs now actually supports a plan to legalize undocumented workers.”

Whatever you have thought of me in the past, I can tell you right now that I am one of your greatest friends and I mean for us to work together,” he told Maria Celeste of the Spanish-language network Telemundo. (Click here for video of full interview). “I hope that will begin with Maria and me and Telemundo and other media organizations and others in this national debate that we should turn into a solution rather than a continuing debate and factional contest.”

posted with vodpod

“Many Hispanics consider you to be the No. 1 enemy of Latinos,” Celeste told Dobbs. “Do you think that the community is somehow misjudging you?”

“Oh, not somehow. Definitively, absolutely,” Dobbs responded. “By the way, I don’t believe for a moment that the Latino, Hispanic community in the United States believes that of me at all. It has been the efforts of the far left to characterize me in their propaganda as such.”

Twice during the interview, Dobbs mentioned plans to legalize millions of illegal aliens in America, saying “we need the ability to legalize illegal immigrants under certain conditions.”

“What isn’t working is a penalty to those who are in this country illegally for whom we can both be building a bridge to the future in which there is legalization and at the same time constructing an environment in which everyone is clear and unequivocal about the need for border security and a regulated flow of immigration,” Dobbs told Telemundo.

Dobbs’ spokesman Bob Dilenschneider told the Wall Street Journal the former broadcaster draws a distinction between illegal aliens who have committed crimes since arriving in the U.S. and those who are “living upright, positive and constructive lives” who should be “integrated” into society. He said Dobbs recognizes the political importance of Hispanics and is “smoothing the water and clearing the air.”

Reaction from the public is already strong, including online comments such as: *

“Obviously, the old boy is losing his wits. Never trust a politician, which is what Dobbs now is.” *

“Well at least his disingenuousness is in keeping with a politician. On CNN: ‘I hate you dirty foreigners!’ Preparing to run for office: ‘I love you foreigners! And you’re not that dirty!’” *

“Just another pathetic sellout. Lou, don’t bother.” *

“The only thing Dobbs had going for him was his anti-illegal stance. He just blew it. Otherwise he’s just another pundit. He’s suddenly Bill O’Reilly.”

Dobbs, 64, of Wantage, N.J., has admitted an interest in politics, and the New York Times reports a run for the U.S. Senate is possible in 2012 before testing presidential waters.

—————————————

Dear Arieh Perecowicz :

Thank you for your email, sent to my Office on November 12, 2009, concerning the situation of human rights in Iran and the case of Mr. Yaghoghil Shaolian , an Iranian national detained by the Iranian government.

The Government of Canada is deeply troubled by the current situation in Iran and has taken many opportunities to express its condemnation of Iran’s human rights abuses and to call for the release of all those unjustly detained in Iran. On June 15, 2009, I made a statement in which I outlined Canada’s concerns regarding allegations of irregularities in the voting process and reports of violent crackdowns by Iranian security forces on their own citizens. Furthermore, on June 21, 2009, I made another statement condemning the use of violence against protestors. You may read my statements at http://w01.international.gc.ca/minpub/index.asp

Officials of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada have also relayed these concerns directly to the Iranian Chargé d’Affaires in Ottawa, on a number of occasions, as Iran is not represented by an ambassador in Canada. As well, on June 22, 2009, the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister, made a statement on the situation in Iran, which you may view at www.pm.gc.ca/eng/media.asp?category=3&id=2647. Canada has also consistently called upon the Iranian authorities to release all political prisoners and journalists who have been unjustly detained, and to uphold all of its human rights obligations, both in law and in practice.

On June 17, 2009, in the House of Commons, Prime Minister Harper clearly articulated Canada’s position on Iran:

There is no secret to the Government of Canada’s position. We have been outspoken for a very long time in the councils of the United Nations and elsewhere about the unacceptable ideology, democratic practices and human rights record of the Government of Iran. We are obviously strongly displeased by the reaction that has taken place by authorities to events this week.

We encourage those authorities to respect people’s basic human rights and to move forward on democratic progress in this country. We find the behaviour of that regime unacceptable in so many ways that I cannot even begin to name them.

On the same day, I stated in the House of Commons that:

Everyone knows that this government has been very active on the Iran file, particularly in terms of condemnation and the commitment we made at the United Nations to condemn human rights abuses.

In addition, Mr. John Weston, Member of Parliament and Government Liaison to the Persian and Iranian Community, introduced the following motion, which was unanimously adopted by the House of Commons:

That the House express:

its solidarity with, and support for, the democratic aspirations of the Iranian people;
its concern with ongoing violations of civil and human rights in Iran, and calls for the immediate release of all political prisoners; and its support for a transparent electoral process that respects the genuine will of the Iranian people.

On July 8, 2009, Canada joined with other G8 countries in expressing serious concerns about recent events in Iran. G8 Leaders deplored the post-electoral violence, which led to the loss of lives of civilians, calling interference with media, unjustified detentions of journalists and recent arrests of foreign nationals unacceptable. They called upon Iran to solve the situation through democratic dialogue and the rule of law. You may read the statement at www.canadainternational.gc.ca/g8/summit-sommet/2009/political_declaration-declaration_politique.aspx.

On October 20, 2009, Prime Minister Harper welcomed the safe release of Canadian journalist Maziar Bahari by the Government of Iran. However, he stated that “while we rejoice today for Maziar Bahari’s homecoming, we must not forget about the countless others who remain unjustly imprisoned in Iran today.”

The Government of Canada will continue to call upon Iran to respect the human rights of all Iranians, and that ordinary Iranians must be able to freely express their views without fear of intimidation or violence.

The Canadian government’s concerns about human rights in Iran are long-standing. As part of its ongoing efforts to focus the international community’s attention on the human rights situation in Iran, Canada successfully led a resolution on this situation at the fall session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) for six consecutive years. Canada and 41 co-sponsors tabled a resolution at Third Committee of UNGA, for the seventh year on November 10, 2009. The resolution, which passed with significant margin of support on Friday, Noverember 20, 2009 calls on the Government of Iran to fully respect its human rights obligations and implement previous resolutions. It also expresses deep concerns about increasing discrimination and other human rights violations against persons belonging to religious, ethnic, linguistic or other minorities, recognized or otherwise, including, inter alia, Arabs, Azeris, Baluchis, Kurds, Christians, Jews, Sufis and Sunni Muslims and their defenders. Collective efforts to table such resolutions send a strong signal that the international community remains deeply concerned about Iran’s unacceptable human rights violations.

Please be assured that Canada will continue to use all means available to raise its concerns about human rights, including the post-election situation and the continued unjust detention of Iranian and foreign nationals, such as Mr. Shaolian , in Iran.

Thank you for taking the time to write and share your concerns.

Sincerely,

The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, P.C., M.P.
Minister of Foreign Affairs

Concerned Citizens and Immigration Reformers, The NC Civitas Institute in Raleigh began an on-line contest to determine which piece of legislation introduced in the NC General Assembly this past session was the WORST BILL. Thirty-two “bad bills” were selected for consideration in a NCAA-type March Madness competition and citizens cast over 10,000 votes during a period of eight weeks. State Senate bill S.848 which was introduced [but did not pass] would have allowed, by statute, illegal immigrants to enroll in our North Carolina Community College System and our (sixteen) University of North Carolina campuses. North Carolina citizens voted S.848 as the WORST LEGISLATION to be introduced in the NC General Assembly. What of course did happen is the NC Community College Board decided recently to allow illegal immigrants to enroll in our NC Community College System [all 58 campuses].

NC LISTEN is working to deny this atrocity, which could go into affect by mid-2010. More to follow on this effort. Wonder how the above contest for worst bill must make the NC Community College Board feel, given their actions?

I would suggest it should make them feel like a bunch of idiots, which they are in my opinion. In the middle of one of the worst recessions in American history, our NC Community College Board decides to help illegal immigrants enroll in college when our state unemployment rate is 11% and citizens need help with retraining and education to be better able to acquire a job.

The RNC has developed a useful tool to organize wide spread critique of their party principles over the Thanksgiving holiday.
You really can’t blame the withering right-wing base of the Republican Party (as if anything b

You really can’t blame the withering right-wing base of the Republican Party (as if anything but the withering right-wing base exists within the GOP) for feeling powerless and backed into a corner. These conservative purists are completely inconsequential in the House, and as proven over the weekend with the landmark vote to move forward on the health care debate, they’re really quite weak in the Senate as well. If they hadn’t overseen the destruction of this country’s middle class, economy, and international reputation, one would almost be inclined to feel sorry for these poor bastards. Now, any decent political strategist within the Republican Party would undoubtedly want to focus on ways to grow the party, to bring in those moderates who agree on some but not all of the GOP’s platform (which has really been the key to establishing the Democratic Party’s supermajority status). That’s the rational approach. But people – especially Republicans – are not rational.

Instead, conservatives’ idea to make the party more successful is to make the party…well, even more conservative. In a strategy almost as senseless and backasswards as trickle-down economics, the RNC is actually considering adopting a purity resolution. In other words, fewer members = more members (which is just as logical as lower taxes = higher revenue). If you thought the Salem-esque burning at the stake of Dede Scozzafava was entertaining, just you wait. The Great Republican Purge has just begun.

The resolution is an eerie document that manages to include virtually every Republican wet dream, all in one place (talk about “big tent” conservatism). It establishes ten planks of conservatism, ranging from opposition to “Obama-style government run health care” to support for “the retention of the Defense of Marriage Act,” and it makes clear that any GOP candidate straying from three or more of these core “conservative principles” will be denied funding by the RNC. If that doesn’t scream “big tent,” I don’t know what does! The resolution does this while at the same time decrying “Obama’s socialist agenda” and (intentionally, I’m sure) never once using the title “President” when referring to President Obama (though “President” preceded Ronald Reagan’s name without fail).

One must wonder, though, where these conservative principles came from. Presumably, since the resolution is sprinkled with glorified references to Ronald Reagan, they came from him. But when one actually looks back into the annals of history and researches the Reagan Administration (which conservative ideologues who masturbate to the “Tear Down This Wall” clip never do), one finds that the Gipper himself would not be considered a true Republican. The RNC would actually have to deny funding to the very deity that conservatives cite as the one true voice of conservatism. Let’s break it down:

(1) We support smaller government, smaller national debt, lower deficits and lower taxes by opposing bills like Obama’s “stimulus” bill.

On Ronald Reagan’s watch, despite the “small government” rhetoric spewing from his mouth, the federal government actually grew. The myth that states otherwise is false. Federal spending increased (mainly in the “defense” sector), and an entire new department was added to the executive branch. Reagan’s illogical policies led to a fiscal nightmare. Nobody can make the serious claim that Ronald Reagan shrank government or decreased spending.

(5) We support legal immigration and assimilation into American society by opposing amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Ronald Reagan was a proponent of amnesty for illegal immigrants.

(9) We support protecting the lives of vulnerable persons by opposing health care rationing, denial of health care and government funding of abortion.

If one believes that a zygote is a “vulnerable person” (as conservative wingnuts do), Ronald Reagan’s record on the issue is not exactly stellar. As the Governor of California, he signed the Therapeutic Abortion Act of 1967 (even Free Republic admits it); as President, (again) despite rhetoric, he was not a champion for the anti-choice movement and really did nothing to advance the cause.

Way to go, RNC – you’re about to adopt purity standards that your purest conservative can’t even meet. And, just as trickle-down theory decimated the economy, these purges of moderates will continue to keep the Republicans in a permanent fringe minority.

Not that I’m complaining.

GLENN BECK: I got a letter from a woman in Arizona. She writes an open letter to our nation’s

GLENN BECK: I got a letter from a woman in Arizona. She writes an open letter to our nation’s leadership:

“I am a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. Instead, we are burdened with Congressional Dukes and Duchesses who think they know better than the citizens they are supposed to represent.

There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you’re willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now.

You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would feel so horribly disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut-job am I? Well, these briefly are the views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I’m not a racist. This is not to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the STIMULUS bill. I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you No, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three, Czars. I want the circumvention of our constitutional checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution, and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There are many conflicting opinions and it is too soon for this radical legislation. Quit throwing our nation into politically-correct quicksand.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision that will burden me, my children, and grandchildren. Don’t you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night without even reading it. Slow down! Fix only what is broken — we have the best health care system in the world — and test any new program in one or two states first.

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. More is not better! Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real [Constitutional] obligations. Why don’t you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes — how did they pull that one off? Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census with our taxpayer money. I don’t trust them with any of our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello! Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs — and that is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person! Why do you want me to hate my employers? And what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Every company must sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we’ll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. (Have you ever ripped off a Band-Aid?) We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let’s have it. Let’s say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please stop trying to manipulate and appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.
Take a breath. Listen to the people. Slow down and get some input from nonpoliticians and experts on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed-reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I’m busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not.

It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is needless urgency and recklessness in all of your recent spending of our tax dollars.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on bringing our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzwords like unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don’t want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we’re morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long, because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented… You think we’re so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work, pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone… and we are now looking at you.

You have awakened us, the patriotic freedom spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office.

We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn’t ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us who will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don’t care. Political parties are meaningless to us Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution, and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them… Because we will get you fired and they will not save you.

If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be, one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.”

Che Guevara supporters with a radical pro-amnesty coalition viciously attacked and bludgeoned tea party protesters at a Florida anti-illegal-immigration rally, including a 62-year-old man who was beaten and kicked in the face.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC called for “Tea Parties Against Amnesty and Illegal Immigration” to form quickly across the nation on Nov. 14. In less than 30 days, protests were scheduled for more than 50 towns and cities.

But two Fort Lauderdale, Fla., tea party protesters were brutally beaten by pro-amnesty activists on the day of the nationwide rally as they attempted to film Florida’s Act Now to Stop War and End Racism Coalition counterprotest.

You see, what “they” fail to understand is that Americans aren’t against immigration. No, not at all. What we ARE against is ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. GRANTING AMNESTY. Because, you know, majority of the illegal shitstains that enter this country have no desire to become legal citizens to begin with. Not to mention that majority of Americans don’t WANT to grant amnesty to a bunch of fuckwits who refuse to learn English, who don’t have ANY desire to take the legal steps to becoming a legitimate American citizen, and whose loyalties aren’t with America. There’s no racism about it. I don’t know what the “Act Now to Stop War and End Racism Coalition” is all about. Just a bunch of bullshit. That’s right I said it. Besides; look at the people who “represent” the illegal immigrants. Savory characters indeed. /end sarcasm

ANSWER members carried Che Guevara signs and other black and yellow placards that stated “Full rights for all immigrants.” They shouted, “Amnesty yes, racists no!”

Wouldn’t a more appropriate placard read: “Equal punishments for all criminals”? Or how about shouting “Take the legal steps to becoming an American Citizen, YES, we don’t care where your country of origin is, NO”. Yes. I think so.

As the two men attempted to film the protest, an ANSWER member in a black tanktop and blue jeans lunged after one of the cameramen and beat him with a sign, pushing him into traffic. Another ANSWER member in a white T-shirt attacked the same cameraman while the victim defended himself with what appears to be a camera tripod.

A female tea party protester began screaming as Dave Caulkett of Floridians for Immigration Enforcement and the initial ANSWER attacker fought in the middle of the street.

The following is a video of the attack released by ALIPAC:

“Supporters of President Obama’s amnesty plans attacked Tea Party Against Amnesty & Illegal Immigration demonstrators in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009. One of the men attacked is 62 years old,” ALIPAC reported. “Dave Caulkett of FLIMEN is assaulted and then kicked in the face while he is down. The other cameraman from the tea party is hit with several signs.”

ALIPAC revealed that ANSWER Florida sent out an e-mail invitation urging members to join its “protest to shut down racist anti-’amnesty’ rally” in Fort Lauderdale prior to the event. ANSWER’s letter stated the following:

The ANSWER Coalition is calling on all its members, allies, and friends to join us tomorrow to confront and shut down the racist “Anti-Amnesty Tea Party” in Fort Lauderdale.

The “Anti-Amnesty” rallies being held across the country tomorrow have been initiated by fascist, white supremacist organizations that include the Minutemen and the so-called Americans for Legal Immigration.

Recent months have shown a significant rise in extreme-right activity with hate crimes and attacks on immigrants skyrocketing. White supremacist and fascist organizations have boasted rapid growth since the onset of the economic crisis. The new administration has continued the government’s anti-immigrant policies with “desktop raids” – the liberal response to the fascist like workplace raids of the Bush years.

Racism is like anything else in this world: in order to make it fall, you must smash it! That is why we are calling on all people to come out tomorrow, to organize a militant confrontation with the so-called “tea baggers.” Beating back these forces will require us to organize together, take the streets, fight the racists wherever they show their faces and drive them out of every community. …

We are building a movement that will beat back racism so that working people of all nationalities can unite and fight against our one, shared enemy: capitalism. Amnesty, full rights for ALL immigrants, is a demand that should be raised not just by the immigrant communities, but by every working class community in our struggle to solve this crisis by our own means.

Join us tomorrow, and join us in building the movement against racism and capitalist exploitation!

Sounds like someone’s pointing their fingers in the wrong direction. Who sounds like the “racists” to YOU?

As WND reported earlier, ALIPAC Chief William Gheen said his group had been calling for a “peaceful, political revolution and uprising in America.”

White House Opens Door
to Amnesty for Illegal ImmigrantsDear Friends,

Last weekend, the White House announced that an immigration reform bill could become law as early as next year. David Axelrod, a senior advisor to President Barack Obama, told CNN that legislation would create a path to citizenship for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants already in the United States. As a result, more than 50 anti-amnesty rallies were held Saturday around the nation to protest the Obama Administration’s intentions.

Our nation has long benefited culturally and economically by welcoming legal immigrants. However, unregulated, illegal immigration threatens to destroy a carefully constructed system of immigration and assimilation. I will continue to oppose amnesty because of the principle of fairness and respect for the rule of law. The first action of those who would live in our country and contribute to our society should be to respect our laws.

Real immigration reform should address the most critical problems facing our immigration system. We must push for legislation that will strengthen border security, establish an employer verification system, and penalize those who hire illegal foreign labor. Among the highest priorities for any bill Congress passes is an outright rejection of any form of amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Preserving Our Nation’s Godly Heritage

The “Freedom From Religion Foundation,” an atheist and agnostic organization, filed a lawsuit seeking to have the words, “In God We Trust,” and the Pledge of Allegiance, including the words, “one nation, under God,” erased from the face of the new Visitor Center at the U.S. Capitol in Washington. In response, I have joined three U.S. Senators and 40 of my colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives in filing an amicus brief asking the lawsuit be dismissed.

There has been a persistent effort to deny our Godly heritage in America and literally remove the word, “God,” from our buildings, practices, and institutions. Consider the roles God and faith have played in the development of our great nation and how this foundation is ever present today in our nation’s capital. Washington is replete with examples of how our founders viewed faith as an integral part of our culture.

The subtle manner in which our faith history is portrayed in our monuments and landmarks belies the fact that faith is an assumed part of our identity. In Congress, I will do what I can to preserve and protect our nation’s Godly heritage.

Valtakunnan viralliseksi pissisduoksikin tituleerattu PMMP ryhtyi vakavaksi vuoden 2006 tienoilla. L

Valtakunnan viralliseksi pissisduoksikin tituleerattu PMMP ryhtyi vakavaksi vuoden 2006 tienoilla.

Sitten tulee Taitelia, (ilman j-kirjainta) jossa PMMP suoraan sanoen vittuilee taidenirppanokille.

Sitten P(i)MMP(i) rauhoittuu taas.

Levyllä on hieno visuaalinen ilme.

by Richard H. Frank We continue to hear about the plight of an estimated 12 to 20 million undocumen

by Richard H. Frank

We continue to hear about the plight of an estimated 12 to 20 million undocumented aliens (formerly illegal aliens) from the liberal progressives in Congress. They would have us believe that these individuals are exploited by unscrupulous employers who take advantage of their being in this country illegally and engage in sweat shop abuses while paying unlivable wages. Further they would have us believe that these individuals live in the shadows, fearful that the NIS is waiting around every corner laying in wait to arrest them and separate them from their families awaiting deportation. The liberal justification for giving these individuals amnesty is that they supposedly fill a need by doing jobs that American citizens don’t want to do or refuse to do. Additionally, amnesty proponents state that they contribute to the economic health of the nation.

Congress refuses to acknowledge that the situation surrounding illegal immigration is the direct result of failed political policy and failed law enforcement by our government. All administrations, Republican and Democrat, have refused to step up to the issue and thus many believe the answer is amnesty for all illegal aliens with a “path to citizenship”.

But what is congress to do for the 12.6 million legal resident aliens (green card holders) who have played by the rules, in the case of many, for decades? These individuals have not broken the law to gain entry to the United States. They have obtained the proper work visas and permits, paid taxes and gladly register with the selective service system, whereas many naturally born citizens do not. The path to citizenship for these legal aliens is clearly documented and adhered to by the majority of them.

So Congress, what do you propose for legal resident aliens should legislation be proposed for amnesty for illegal aliens? What more can you do to make our fouled up immigration system more screwed up with increased bureaucracy?

With the unemployment rate officially at 10.2% according to the Federal Government, realistically approaching 18% if the truth were reported, and Congress mortgaging our children’s future, the immigration problem can no longer be ignored. We need not have Congress create another legislative fiasco like the stimulus bill and proposed cap and trade or the health care bill to fix the immigration problem. We need to secure our borders and enforce existing law.

Those in congress who support amnesty as a cure are either fools, or have motives that need to be questioned politically. Amnesty for a vote should not be their motive.

Amnesty granted in the past has only served to encourage further abuse of our system and resulted in the chaos we have today. The real cure is to strengthen the border patrol and secure both the southern and northern borders of the United States. Illegal aliens should be granted a period of moratorium from prosecution for repatriation to their country of origin by voluntary surrender to the NIS.

Preferential treatment for legal resident aliens should be afforded to those individuals that have followed the law before any illegal individual is allowed to apply for re-entry to the U.S. under existing immigration law. We must recognize those individuals that have respected the letter of the law to gain entry and pursue a path to citizenship before rewarding those who have broken our law in gaining access to this country.

Congress, now is the time to drive a stake in the ground. Strengthen the border patrol to secure the borders. Prosecute employers who hire illegal aliens. Deport those who break our laws to enter this country illegally. Only through enforcement of existing law will this problem be solved. Stand up and do your job!
