(CBS4) – Police arrested a man they say kidnapped two children by stealing a car with the children inside.

The incident happened around noon on Friday along Anasazi Indian Way in Highlands Ranch. The children’s mother told police she stopped at a yard sale and left the car running with her one and three year olds inside.

Officers found the car a short time later. The children were inside and safe.

Police arrested Robert Orr of Littleton. He faces charges of kidnapping, motor vehicle theft, child abuse and criminal trespass.
