KCR vows rightful share for Muslims

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Sunday said he supported providing reservation to Muslims in proportion to their population in Telangana. “The reservations will be on the lines of those in Tamil Nadu,” he said.

Addressing a public meeting “Telangana Garajna” organised by the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind at Nizam College grounds here, Mr Rao said, “The sea of Muslims here should clear all doubts in the minds of the Union home minister and others. This meeting is crucial: it upsets the claims of Andhra leaders that Muslims were against Telangana and sends a clear message to the Centre.”

Starting his speech with a sher-o-shayari in Urdu, Mr Rao jeered at the Andhra leaders’ inability to speak Urdu properly. “I have seen our Chief Ministers from Andhra wishing ‘Ood Mubarak’ instead of Id Mubarak,” he said.

Mr Rao pointed out that Muslim percentage in government jobs has dipped from 36 per cent to one.

“Not even one per cent of the state budget is given to the minority welfare department. Don’t Muslims pay taxes?” he asked.

Mr Rao said he will fight for at least 12 per cent reservation for Muslims in employment and education sectors, and the Assembly apart from local bodies.

Professor Kancha Ilaiah and Balladeer Gaddar demanded that the first Chief Minister of Telangana should either be from the SC, ST, BC, or Muslim community. “The T leaders should make their stand clear on this issue,” they said.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has promised political reservation and a quota in education and employment based on population for Muslims in separate Telangana.

Addressing a public meeting organised by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind on the Nizam College grounds here with permission granted by the Andhra Pradesh High Court, Mr. Rao felt Muslims would not be assured of social justice unless they got political reservation.

However, their experience in 53 years of unified State was bitter.

Mr. Rao assured that a special provision in Constitution would be invoked, as was done by Tamil Nadu government, to extend reservation to Muslims in education and employment.

They would get the reservations proportionate to their population which was 13 per cent to 15 per cent in Telangana.

The TRS chief also promised a budget for welfare of Muslims based on their population.

He appealed to the Muslims to shed self-defeatism and assert themselves in separate Telangana.

Earlier, Telugu Desam Party leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy faced an angry crowd demanding that party president N. Chandrababu Naidu spell out his stand on separate Telangana.

Mr. Reddy informed the crowd that it misunderstood Mr. Naidu and said it was with the latter’s permission that 39 MLAs of the party in Telangana joined the movement for Statehood.

The TDP leader also assured that his party would extend political reservations and reservations in education and employment to Muslims in separate Telangana.

Former Home Minister T. Devender Goud wondered if there was a government in the State as organisations wanting to hold meetings did so with court permission every time.

Veteran Congress leader G. Venkatswamy deplored that the contribution of local population for the development of Hyderabad was sought to be snatched by outsiders.

The meeting adopted several resolutions, one of which sought professional, people friendly and law abiding police force in Telangana State. Congress MP Madhu Yaskhi Goud, Telangana Joint Action Committee convener C. Kodandaram and former Minister Basheeruddin Babu Khan also spoke.

Rosaiah directed the state advocate general to file a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court.A statement from the chief minister’s office said he has directed the advocate general to take necessary action immediately for filing the SLP in the Supreme Court against the judgement of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) staged a protest outside the state secretariat demanding that the government take immediate steps to protect the four percent reservation.Former minister and Congress party leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the government was committed to provide reservations to Muslims and would take all steps to protect the interests of the community.Shabbir clarified that the reservations were provided only to the economically and socially backward classes among Muslims and not to the entire community.Main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) vice-president Lal Jan Basha said the government was not sincere in providing reservations to Muslims as it failed to put up strong arguments in support of the legislation.Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) said Muslims deserved reservations as they were more backward than Scheduled Castes. HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh High Court Monday quashed a legislation providing four percent reservation to Muslims in education and jobs.

Delivering the much-awaited judgement, the seven-member constitutional bench headed by Chief Justice A.R. Dave ruled that reservations cannot be provided on the basis of religion.

The court order has come as a big blow to the Congress government, which had brought a legislation providing four percent reservation to certain backward groups among Muslims.

Some individuals and organisations had challenged the bill, contending that the reservations were unconstitutional. This is the third time since 2004 that the high court has quashed quota for Muslims.

In 2004 that the state government had provided five percent reservation to Muslims but the high court had quashed the order.

However, on the court’s advice, the government reconstituted the backward classes commission and directed it to conduct a detailed survey of the socio-economic conditions of Muslims.

On the recommendations of the commission, the government issued an ordinance in 2005 and subsequently the assembly passed legislation for five percent reservation.

However, the high court set aside the legislation on the ground that this would exceed the 50 percent total reservation limit set by the Supreme Court.

In an attempt to keep the reservations within the 50 percent limit, the government reduced the quantum to four percent and issued an order in 2007 providing four percent quota in government jobs and educational institutions for 15 socially and educationally backward classes among Muslims.

The government brought an ordinance, which was later replaced by a legislation passed by the assembly..

The four percent quota was also challenged in the high court. The petitioners argued that the government identified backward classes in the community without gathering scientific data.

The high court, in its interim order, permitted admissions made under the quota. This was challenged by the petitioners in the Supreme Court. The apex court stayed implementation of the order but left it to the high court to dispose off the batch of writ petitions.

Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday struck down as unconstitutional, a State Government’s order providing four per cent reservation for Muslim community in Government jobs and educational institutions.

This is for the second time that the Government has faced embarrassment as its two earlier attempts too met the same fate.

The Congress Government first tried to implement its election promise made in 2004 by granting five percent reservation but it was dismissed by the Court saying it exceeded the 50 per cent limit set by Supreme Court for reservations.

After much debate and study by State BC Commission, the quota was reduced to four per cent but this too has been rejected by the Court.

The State government had moved a bill in the Assembly on the basis of a report submitted to it by the Andhra Pradesh Commission for Backward Classes. The bill was later passed by the Assembly.

The report had recommended that the socially and educationally backward should be adequately represented in the State. The government order (GO) was issued on July 7, 2007 providing the 4 per cent reservation to the 15 groups.

Kerala HC upholds reservation on economic basis

KOCHI: A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Wednesday upheld the state government order providing reservation for financially backward students of forward communities for UG and PG courses in government educational institutions.

Dismissing the petition filed by the Kerala Muslim Jama-Ath Council challenging the government order, the Division Bench comprising Chief Justice S R Bannurmath and Justice A K Basheer said that students of backward communities should secure admission at higher and postgraduate level by competing with meritorious students.

“Reservation has brought a revolutionary change in the socio-economic situation of the backward class. Now they have to wake up from the slumber of satiated insouciance.

Providing financial reservation for the poor segment of forward castes will not in any way affect the rights of the backward class or the benefits they enjoy,” it observed.

The court further observed that it was high time the reservation quota for employment was brought down as excellence in educational and professional fields could be achieved only if there was an element of competitiveness.

The court considered the contention that the poor segment of the forward castes should not be given solace totally uncharitable.

It said there could be no doubt that the government was vested with the power to issue a notification.

The order does not violate any provisions of the Constitution. “A perusal of the order will show that the objective of the govt is to address a problem faced by students belonging to forward castes. Many students of forward castes fail to get admission as they are considered only on the basis of merit. After allocation of seats under various quotas, the number of merit seats is comparatively low. Those denied admission are forced to discontinue studies as they are unable to afford the expense of courses at private institutions,” the court said.

Regarding the contention of the petitioner that the Muslim community had not been given due consideration in the educational sector, the court said that the overall situation of Muslims in the state had undergone tremendous change, especially during the past few years.

“It is high time the community leaders thought of shedding their ‘backward’ tag and prepared to compete with others for a slot in the general merit category,” the court said.

More faces of terror are emerging from Hyderabad

A recent meeting in Andhra Pradesh involving an official of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation and CID officials from across the country, aimed at better cooperation, has brought up some startling facts relating to terrorism in India [ Images ], especially in Hyderabad.

During the course of the meeting, it was revealed that 21 very dangerous terrorists, who had fled the country and were operating in big positions in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, hailed from Hyderabad.

Indian Intelligence Bureau officials told rediff.com that Hyderabad had become a big worry in the security set up and as the days passed, the number of such elements was on the rise.

Although city police officials refused to comment on this issue, security experts say that Hyderabad has surpassed places like Azamgarh and Kerala [ Images ] in the list.

Another interesting revelation was that Hyderabad comes second only to the Kashmir Valley, which has the most number of terrorists in the country.

The number of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir [ Images ] is easily over 500, but the number of persons occupying key positions in terror groups is around 60, sources point out.

The terrorists that Hyderabad has produced operate more on the planning and organising level. There are no fidayeen fighters (suicide bombers) from the city.

Shahid Bilal was the main face of terror from Hyderabad and held the position of commander in the Harkat-ul-Jihadi before he was killed in an encounter in Pakistan.

Today, the most important face of terror from the city is Abu Jundal, the accent trainer who trained the 26/11 gunmen to speak in Hyderabadi accent. The IB says that operatives from Hyderabad were also chosen to set up the Gulf module with the help of cadres from Kerala.

Intelligence Bureau officials say that the two main groups that operate in Hyderabad are the Lashkar-e-Tayiba [ Images ] and the Harkat-ul-Jihadi. In fact, it was the Lashkar that first showed interest in Hyderabad and focussed its operations in the old city.

The Lashkar basically took complete advantage of two aspects. The youth in Hyderabad were most angered with the ban on the Students Islamic Movement of India and also with the Babri Masjid [ Images ] demolition. The SIMI [ Images ] had a large presence in Hyderabad and with the ban on the organization several members came under the scanner.

There were many arrests and the youth felt that they were being targetted. It was at this time that the Lashkar swooped in and took advantage of the situation.

Prior to making inroads into Hyderabad, the Lashkar held a very important meeting in Murdike (in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) in which they resolved that they would give anything it takes to ensure that the city is liberated from the Indian government and the rule of the Nizam is restored.

This resolution swayed several youth in Hyderabad, who were already upset with the Indian government. This was the turning point for Hyderabad. The Godhra riots were another strong reason for youths like Riazzuddin Nasir and Amjad Khwaja to take to jihad.

After nearly 20 hours of nightmare, a watchman, who got trapped beneath the debris of the five-floor building that collapsed at Narayanguda here on Friday, was rescued on Saturday morning.

Eleven labourers and a two-year-old boy got buried alive while five more were injured when the building under construction collapsed around 2.30 p.m. Police, fire service and municipal officials supervising the rescue operations retrieved all the bodies by 8 p.m.

“We did not believe any one would have survived as huge concrete slabs and bricks fell one on the other. But rescue team workers got alerted when the heard feeble shouts around 4 a.m.,” Narayanguda Inspector, G. Jogaiah, told The Hindu. They immediately stopped usage of cranes and poclains that were making huge noise.

The rescue team workers slowly drilled a hole on the concrete slab and managed to pull out the watchman to safety by 8 a.m. Fortunately, Mr. Mallaiah did not suffer any serious wounds. He sustained bruises and was in a position to speak but was in deep shock. The watchman was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The death toll in Friday’s building collapse here rose to 13 as two more bodies were retrieved from the debris while rescue work continued Saturday.

Eighteen hours after the four-storeyed under construction building caved in, a person was pulled out alive from the debris. Hyderabad District Collector Navin Mittal said watchman Mallaiah was rescued early Saturday and shifted to hospital.

The rescue teams were continuing their work to clear the debris as officials fear more people could be trapped under the huge concrete slabs.

The accident in the busy Narayanguda area in the city centre has claimed 13 lives, including a two-year-old child and four women. Six people were injured. All the victims were construction labourers from Medak and Mahabubnagar districts.

The district collector said the building was being constructed without permission from municipal authorities. “We will take legal action against the builder,” he said.

Officials said the builder was constructing additional floors on an old building, which led to the mishap.

The building collapsed around 2.30 p.m. Friday. The students of an adjacent private school had a narrow escape. The authorities have closed the school as its building too suffered damage.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) suspended three officials for their failure to prevent unauthorised construction.

The government has ordered a probe into the collapse and announced compensation of Rs.200,000 to the families of each of those killed.

India being so small will eventually become a country of 50 states, it can barely have 5 states as big as US states, but each would become as small as Indian Territories like Delhi. With more bloodshed and hatred amongst indians due to politics, this aint new but it’s surprising that the government which acts as though it wants all terrorist activities to be stopped, is still doing this. After formation of a five-member expert committee on Telangana, Congress has said appealed to everybody concerned to extend their cooperation so that governance does not suffer in troubled Andhra Pradesh, reported PTI.

“Andhra Pradesh is a beautiful and progressive state. It will be in the best interest of the state if students went to schools and colleges and focussed on examinations. Everyone should cooperate,” law minister M Veerappa Moily, who is incharge of party affairs in Andhra Pradesh, was quoted as saying.

Moili said that rule of law should be encouraged and neither government should suffer nor development should hamper, said report.

The minister hoped that soon a decision would be taken on the terms of reference of the group, said report.

His appeal came against the backdrop of frequent bandhs and violent protests in the state, especially in the Telangana region, over the issue of separate statehood.

Bodies of all the twelve persons, including 8 children, who drowned when a boat capsized in Tandava reservoir two days ago, have been fished out, police said here on Tuesday.

“With the recovery of six bodies today, all the 12 bodies including eight children (aged between 9—12) have been fished out from the reservoir and rescue operations have winded up now,” Visakhapatnam District Superintendent of Police Vineet Brijlal told PTI.

A seven-member expert divers team from the Navy was pressed into service to trace the missing people, with the help of local swimmers, Mr. Brijlal said.

The country-made boat (also known as ‘putty’ in local parlance) capsized on January 31, when 14 villagers most of them children, from Ammapeta in Golugonda mandal were returning after performing rituals at a hillock here.

Two persons had swam to safety while others met the watery grave.

The incident occurred when the boat was passing through the Tandava reservoir, and one of the passengers saw a snake in the boat, leading to panic with all of them getting to one side of the boat, following which it capsized.

HYDERABAD: Listen to music and write down the notation, this is the message to the budding musicians from Nookala China Satyanarayana, the recipient of the prestigious Padma Bhushan award this year.

Immediately after the announcement that Satyanarayana was chosen for the Padma Bhushan award, scores of his disciples thronged his house in New Boiguda in Secunderabad to congratulate him. But, the humble Nookala said that the award goes to the “pure classicism’’, which he had always practiced. His advice to the learners was listen to music and write down the notation.

He said classical music has finally got recognition, which was hitherto neglected by the Government.

He suggested to the Government to conduct music festivals and give more awards to encourage classical music.

“I dedicate this award to my parents, gurus and to classical music,’’ he said. Nookala is a doyen and a multi-faceted Carnatic classical musician. Gifted with a sonorous voice and great calibre he adheres to classicism.

China Satyanarayana was born on August 4, 1927 at Anakapalle. Kambhampati Akkaji Rao, Mangalampally Pattabhiramayya and Sripada Pinakapani (who also got Padmabhooshan award) were his teachers. Nookala, attracted by the violin legend Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu learnt violin.

While delivering a lecture at the Columbia University not so long ago, the former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Dr Yaga Venugopal Reddy, was asked to name the economic theory he used to predict the US housing market crash much before it had happened.

“It was simple common sense,’’ Reddy replied using his usual witty repartees.

That pretty much sums up the man, who is credited for creating flexibility in the Indian monetary policy and preventing an asset price bubble during the recent global economic meltdown.

Reddy, a septugenarian, hails from Kadapa and was elected as the 21st RBI Governor — for five years between 2003 and 2008 — a time, which economists consider as an important phase post-1991 reforms.

Notwithstanding the robust economic growth and booming stock markets, Reddy, was known for continuous policy rate hikes during his tenure.

Reddy, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service 1964 batch, also served as India’s Executive Director on the Board of the International Monetary Fund.

Besides being an economist, Reddy’s other forte is teaching. He donned a lecturer’s hat way back in 1961 and has been a full-time visiting faculty at the Osmania University, the London School of Economics.

Currently, he is Professor Emiretus, Department of Economy, Hyderabad Central University.

The idea to set up a hospital took shape when he lost one of his patients who couldn’t make it to the Texas for an open-heart surgery. Subsequently, he quit his flourishing career to start the first hospital in Tamil Nadu, way back in 1983.

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh has reaped a rich haul of Padma Awards, the country’s highest civilian awards, announced by the Government of India on Monday.

Two distinguished Telugus—former Governor of RBI Yaga Venugopal Reddy (Public Affairs) and Apollo Hospitals Chairman Prathap C. Reddy (Trade & Industry) have been conferred Padma Vibhushan, though the latter falls in the Tamil Nadu category.

Carnatic vocal maestro Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana (art) has been conferred the prestigious Padma Bhushan award while NGRI Director V.P. Dimri (science & engineering), Annamacharya Bhavana Vahini founder and vocalist Shoba Raju (art), industrialist A.V.S. Raju (trade & industry) besides badminton ace Saina Nehwal (sports)were awarded the Padma Sri on Monday.

Prof. Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana (87), started his illustrious journey in Carnatic music as a violinist at the age of 13 under Mangalampalli Pattabhi Ramaiah, father of M. Balamurali Krishna.

After his foray into Carnatic vocal under the mentoring of the likes of Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu and Sripada Pinakapani, Prof. Satyanarayana never looked back in a career spanning over seven decades. A recipient of several awards including the Central Sangeet Natak Academy award and Sangita Kalacharya award of Madras Music Academy, Prof. Satyanarayana gave concerts in the United States, Canada Malaysia, Ireland and other countries.

Dr. Dimri expressed happiness upon receiving Padma Sri and described it as “recognition” of the contribution made by the entire NGRI staff. “Its great news” he told The Hindu here on Monday.

The NGRI staff did a lot of good work in the fields of earth sciences, energy security, water-related problems, environmental studies and natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis.

The conferment of Padma Sri thrust greater responsibility and the institute would focus on future challenges relating to climate change, natural hazards and hydro-carbon resources, among others. “I can be called as ‘Junior Padma Sri’ if someone feels I am too young to receive the prestigious award,” exclaimed Saina Nehwal.

“This award betters the Arjuna Award that I had got last year,” said a delighted Ms. Saina. Chief national coach Gopi Chand remarked: “I don’t think that she is too young for this Award. I also wish Saina will continue to hog the limelight at the highest level.”

Saina was the first Indian woman badminton player to reach the singles quarterfinals in the Olympics, first Indian to win the World Junior Badminton Championships and first Indian to win a Super Series tournament.

Born in Antervedipalem village of East Godavari district, Dr. Raju (73) took the plunge into business in 1956, but not before experiencing the rigours of working in agriculture, construction and other activities.

The founder chairman of Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited, a leading construction firm, Dr. Raju started several industries in diversified areas including Nagarjuna Steels Ltd, AVS Containers, NCC Finance and Deccan Cements limited, providing employment to over 4,500 people.

A poet with 24,000 poems to his credit and author of several works, Dr. Raju had entered the Guinness Book of Records for penning the largest single volume biography of Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthy.

According to the Press Trust of India (PTI) – Seven Indian states (Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, Orrisa, Andhra Pradesh, Chatisgarth and Jharkhand) have selected 30 senior officers for a special task force to deal with current Moist groups fighting against New Delhi. These police officers will go through a 30-day training at Ghatsila (Jharkhand). The instructors include Israeli experts (Massad, Sayeret Matkal, Shin Bet, Yamam, etc.)on so-called ’counter-terrorism’. Knowing the past record of these Israeli terrorist agencies in the assassinations of the US, European and Muslim leaders – one would not be wrong to guess that ‘task’ of the 30 Indian officers would also include the target assassination of Moist leadership. Israeli sources have confirmed that the current Israeli ‘assassination list’ includes Iranian president Ahmadinejad, Turkish prime minister Erdogan, Venezuela president Hugo Chavez, Hizb’Allah leaders Sheikh Nasrallah and Hamas’ leader Mishaal. Israel’s has just assassinated one of the founder of Hamas’ miltary wing, IZZ al-Din Qassam Brigades, Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai. Israel did not evenspared its fellow Jewish US ambassador to Lebanon, John Gunther Dean, during 1978-81 (both parents Jewish), because he was against Israeli attack on Lebanon.

Israeli terrorist and their agents in the US, in the past, have been involved in flase-flag operations in Zambia, US Information Library in Cairo, US embassy in Amman, attack on El Al at Orly Airport, Chadian guerrilla operation against Libya’s Gaddafi with the help of Saudi Arabia, Bali bombing, Madrid train bombing, 9/11, London terminal bombing, Meshaal’s poisoning, Sheikh Ysin’s assassination, Mumbai terrorist attacks, Syrian and Iranian threats, etc. etc.

After former devotees, both in the U.S. and internationally, had spent a great deal of time and effort, the U.S. Department of State issued a Travel Warning to U.S. citizens traveling in Sai Baba’s State, Andhra Pradesh, in South India. I also made a number of supporting written submissions, and spoke by phone to, the then head of Interpol in Australia. I was in regular contact, written and spoken, with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Australia. Those from various countries who submitted testimony to the U.S. State Department presented credentials attesting to their integrity in their various professions, trades, communities, etc. There was some sworn testimony, along with ample readiness to provide still more. We made ourselves available for purposes of any FBI or Interpol investigation into the allegations, particularly those concerning evidence of Sai Baba’s serial and wide-scale sexual abuse of boys and young men.

The first stumbling block was that the accounts of sexual abuse all stated that abuse occurred in India.  Another was that the U.S., for legal reasons, was not ready (a fact late changed in response to BBC contact with the State Department) to name Sathya Sai Baba. There were no cases, successful or otherwise, brought against him in India. (Nor were those of us with long experience of living and working in India, in which corruption is so rife, convinced that there ever would be, given the sheer extent of his power and influence. These presentations, which were made to very senior State Department officials, were more than vindicated when the BBC checked with the U.S. Department of State confirmed that the “noted Godman who reportedly indulges in inappropriate sexual behaviour with young male devotees” was, in fact, Sathya Sai Baba. CRIME IN ANDHRA PRADESH – Americans traveling to or residing in Andhra Pradesh should also be aware that there have been media and other reports of inappropriate sexual behavior by a prominent local religious leader. Most of the reports indicate that the subjects of these approaches have been young male devotees, including a number of Americans. Although these reports are unconfirmed, American citizens should be aware of this information.

Jr NTR will be marrying Lakshmi Pranati, a relative of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, in May this year. Lakshmi Pranathi is currently studying in a Nazar college in Hyderabad. Lakshmi Pranati, the bride-to-be, is the daughter of Narne Srinivas, chairman of Studio N, a Telugu news channel. Srinivas’s wife Mallika is related to the NTR family. TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is said to have taken the matter forward and formalised the ties on behalf of his nephew.

The 27-year-old actor Jr NTR is the son of late N T Rama Rao’s eldest son Harikrishna and Shalini. Pranathi will be major by 26th of March 2010 and Engagement will be held only after 26th of March and marriage will takes place in May this year.

2010 has been a big yawn for me! Cannot believe Jan is already over. Feels like we celebrated New Year’s just a week ago. Mann! Time flies! The Telangana agitation is still going on. Don’t think it’s going to stop any time soon. Sad state of affairs, though it doesn’t bother me as much as it used to. Is this not what we expect our politicians?? They are the most selfish lot on the face of this earth, aren’t they?  One thing I definitely do not support is the suicides. Totally disturbing. What about their families???  Ahh well, jo hoga, dekha jaega!

So, Andy Murray is through to the finals of The Australian open…Brits must be really chuffed!! Phir mile sur mera tumhara – the remixed version is out. I don’t know if you guys and gurls noticed…but as far as I am aware, there is not a single cricketer in the video which I think is great!!! I’ve had enough of seeing cricketers everwhere…they are there when you want to buy a bottle of jam, there when you want to buy an A/C, BHAM  - there when you go out to buy your chaddis. How pathetic! Don’t they make enough money already??? This is my synopsis of the first month of the year.

Varudu is the upcoming movie of Allu Arjun. Guna Shekhar is the director to this movie. With this he is going to introduce a new girl to Tollywood. This movie was shot in various locations of India. Recently this movie stills came out and started creating sensations in Tollywood circles.

Gunasekhar has delivered super duper hit Chiranjeevi’s  Choodalani Vundhi in 1998. Than with the flops he went to unnoticed. Than he has stricken with the surprised hit Okkadu. Later he has delivered two flops Arjun and Sainikudu. Due to those two flops, no other hero dared to work with him.

But finally Gunashekhar came with this movie. This time he is on fire to deliver a hit at any cost.Allu Arjun fans aer expecting Okkadu range hit this time. Lets hope this time he will re-write the records again.

apparently after i left central revoked their decision to allow the succession of telangana from andhra pradesh. it seems andhra put up a damn good fight to keep their whole state whole. it also seems that upon acceptance of telangana, several other regions around the nation asked to be separated for their oppressive state rulers and borders. so central has changed their mind. first saying the process of succession would be ‘on hold’, followed by ‘acceptance wasn’t exactly what we meant by acceptance.’ ::sigh:: but i was there. and maybe i’ll be lucky to be there again…when it happens in a true and honest and real and imperfect way – a way that cannot be revoked when someone in the majority puts up a damn good fight. because doesn’t that just put them at an unfair advantage. im sorry, am i being rhetorical? ::rolling eyes::
