I agree with Jim’s attempts to keep his meeting with David Wallace a secret from Michael. Of course Michael would be capable of completely screwing it up. It’s what he does. What Jim needed to do, though, was having the meeting outside the office without Michael even being aware of it.

I guess it wouldn’t have really mattered, though, considering that Michael was able to screw things up pretty good even after the meeting. I’ll put some of that on Charles Wallace, though, for presenting it in a threatening manner to Michael before clarifying the double-promotion aspect.

It’s almost as if David still doesn’t know what kind of person Michael is. You’d think after all these years he would have figured out how best to present things, but David’s a complex character that we barely understand. And, in Michaels defense, the reviews of Jim’s poor performance were accurate. It’s been a few years, but that was him.

I wonder if Jim hadn’t been in the room during that last phone call with David if Michael would have agreed to the Co-Manager angle? I guess David came up with this because they were no loner fully confident that Jim could handle managing the branch by himself. So it’s like a transitional thing for both. If it works out, Michael should get that full promotion to regional manager.

In less serious news, it’s always great when Darryl shows up. I was surprised that Dwight was able to lure Toby into his madcap scheme to reveal Darryl as lying about his workmen’s compensation case. Toby has always been the level-headed one, even if it has left him incredibly sad and left out.

Nevertheless, they’re surveillance of him (and his sister) lead to some truly funny moments. Even more surprising was that Dwight was ultimately right. Darryl had lied about how he got injured, though it was nothing more reckless and dangerous than some of the things Dwight has done in and around the office (parkour anyone?).

The 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on September 20, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. Top talents included Angela Kinsey, from the Office, and Jessica Lowndes, from 90210 who were both airbrushed with TemptuPro. MUA Kristina Duff used Temptu SB on Angela while MUA Stevi Christine used Temptu Aqua on Jessica Lowndes for a beautiful matte finish.

Procter & Gamble launched a new campaign of Nice ‘n Easy hair poses, the Office Angela Kinsey as a “guardian Girlfriend,” the board to color hair.

In a city, Gigi, as she called for short, opens in a mirror reflection and talks about his girlfriend, a woman in their song, if she told, the color of hair they have their costumes. “Why flat, if you do that?” request to the full of Kinsey on the site of proximity.

In a second ad, for super-Touch-Up, convinced a woman to get rid of his cap, employees for their roots. Barry Levinson and advertising.

“It was designed for a best friend Straight Shooting, with some of the spirit, in,” said Kathleen O’Brien, Creative Director at Clairol Gray in New York, with the campaign, the ad Kinsey-character. “She knows when a woman is wrong.”

Tara Brown, Associate Director Marketing, North America hair, P & G Beauty and care, said the campaign strategy of consumer protection is research shows that even the most experienced home hair colorists doubt its decisions and find hair in the process of intimidation. “Nice ‘n Easy help women, their hair right solution, can be a difference skies with their appearance, their prospects and their confidence,” said Brown. “This campaign, the brand personality to life with a little humor and a voice that can only relatable Nice ‘n Easy.”

This is the first entirely new direction for the display of Nice n ‘Easy, in five years. The latest campaign for the Clairol brand emphasizes physical, hair color and true reports in the early 70 to see Disco song “Got to Be Real” by Cheryl Lynn.

I really wish the season wasn’t coming to a close, but I can’t wait to see some of this stuff, especially Holly’s return and what that means for Michael.  Hopefully Parks and Recreation will go through the summer to help me cope with The Office not being on.

The show is celebrating their 100th episode, and I am sure it is going to be great!

I loved loved loved seeing John Krasinski in a tux the entire episode! CLASSY! I seriously can’t wait for the wedding.
What do you think of the new boss? Do you really think Michael can quit Dunder Mifflin for good?
I personally think he’s not going to be able to stay away. Dunder Mifflin Scranton cannot possibly exist without him!

Episode Title: The Golden Ticket

Michael is interrupting Pam on the phone by repeating what she is.  They say that makes them look unprofessional.  He says they’ll never know it was him!  Hah.  Dwight says “Knock, Knock” Michael says “Who’s there?”  Dwight says “KGB”, and Michael begins to talk and Dwight slaps him in the face and says “The KGB answers no questions!”

Michael comes in dressed as Willy Wonka. He sees the Jelly Beans on Pam’s desk, and calls them Extraordinary Jelly Beans.  He’s talking about the Willy Wonka golden ticket promotion, and its the best idea he ever had.  He slips the tickets into paper orders so whom receives them gets 10% off their order.  He tells the office it’s their turn to come up with ideas as great of his.  Jim says they could lease out their delivery trucks on the weekends.  Andy says ‘Golden Girls’ that’s a golden ticket idea.  He doesn’t get it. Michael asks them what will be the state of the company if he’s the only one coming up with ideas.

Kevin tells Andy he thinks that he should call that girl from last episode and ask her to lunch.  Andy says he’s making it too easy for her.  Jim says why don’t you just go on a date with her.  Kevin is confused, he doesnt like getting advice from more than one person at a time, he’s a textbook deep thinker.

Michael is actuing like Willy Wonka too.  Jim tells him it’s a big client, Michael agrees and walks away.  Michael asks Oscar how much that will hurt them if they get 10% off thier order.  Oscar tells him that will hurt them.  Their customer says they found 5 tickets, and its not one ticket per customer.

Michael calls Darryl an idiot.  Darryl says “start over.” Michael asks Darryl what a pallet is.

Now Michael is pretending that this idea of the golden ticket wasn’t his.  David calls Pam, Pam makes an excuse for him.  Michael throws his Willy Wonka clothes in the trash.

Oscar says they CAN fire everyone, what does Michael think “closing a branch” means.  Michael’s like “then we’re screwed!”  Michael tries to balme it on them.  Jim says he lost a lot of money today and he has a mortgage, so he’s not happy.  Michael says its not his fault he bought a house to impress Pam, that’s what carnations were invented for. Creed says “No its not.”

David calls Pam again, she makes another excuse.  Michael is on the phone with David.  David asks him what the heck is going on.  David asks WHY he okayed this golden ticket idea…they’re going to lose a fortune!  Michael says they hired an outside marketing consultant.  Then he says it was an inside person, he asks who it was.  Michael lies and says it was Dwight! OMG!

Michale calls Dwight into the office, and tries to blame him for the idea.  Dwight denies that it is.  Dwight runs out of the office, and gets his diary and says March 4 is when Michale came up with the golden ticket.  Michael asks Dwight why he has a diary.  He says its to keep secrets from his computer. Dwight says the idea of his is impossible, because he could not eat sweets or watch movies.  Michael asks him if he’d like to go out to lunch with him. Dwight says with all his heart.

Pam, Andy and Jim argue over what Kevin should do.  Andy is bitter after Angela.

Michael tries to tell Dwight that he wants him to fall on his sword for him.  Dwight said he did that once, it was on his belt and he was running, it wasn’t fun, won’t do that again. Michael asks why Dwight even wants to work there.  He says Dwight is too manly, but Michale would be lost without this place.  Michael has this idea for fancy men’s shoe store called Shoe-la-la.  Michael says Dwight and he went for a stroll, and although he’ll probably never do it again, he had a nice time.  Dwight says he loves working there.  Michael tells Dwight he can’t put a price on freedom, that’s why he’s made the decision.  Dwight says he hasn’t made the decision.  Jim tells Dwight he cannot take the fall for him.  Dwight says he’d do the same thing for him.  Jim says no he wouldn’t, otherwise he would right now, in this situation.

David shows up.  Dave says that he owes Dwight an apology, that the customer was so excited about the golden ticket promotion they have decided to make Dunder Mifflen their sole office products provider.  David says “Congratulations Dwight.”  Dwight looks at Michael, then at Dave, and says “Thanks, Dave.”  Michael looks robbed!  Just Desserts!

David tells the team how proud of Dwight Schrute he is.  David says “this is huge!”  Dwight says “that’s what she said” David and Creed actually laugh.  No one laughs when Michael says that. Michael challenges Dwight how he came up with the idea.  Jim backs up Dwight as does Pam.  David wants Pam to setup a meeting with the marketing people.  Michael is not allowed in on the meeting.  Dwight tells the people at the meeting about candy.  People can hear someone listening in, a dog maybe, its Michael.  Dwight was inspired by the golden ticket theme.  Michael says that Dwight is a liar and has taken his idea.  Michael tells him the whole truth.  Dwight says it is his idea.  Michael asks Dwight if he came up with Toilet Buddy!  Dwight says “Horse Boat!” A horse that goes in a boat, so you can ride on water.  David looks overwhelmed.  David says enough.  He asks Dwight if it’s true.  Dwight says yes, it was Michael’s idea that he forced on him by threat of death.  Michael says he wants the credit without any of the blame.  David tells Pam not to send him those notes, he’s gone.  Wow, what an idiot.  Michael is such a jerk.

Kevin goes up to the lady that he has a crush on.  He tells her he thinks she has thebest smile and wants to take her out to dinner and amovie.  She says ok.  He says nice.  boobs.  haha.  So close, yet so far away.  She just looks at him.  Andy looks at them and says “well, it’s his funeral.”

Episode Title: Blood Drive

Opens with a man coming in trying to sell an automated telephone services.  Pam wants him to go away since it’s her job basically.  They try to keep Michael away from him.  Jim distracts Michael hollering “Eeeeeh” at Michael, thus starting everyone to go “Eeeeeeeh, Eeeeeeeeeeh” to everyone.  Michael is so easily distracted.  This scares phone guy away.

It’s Valentine’s day.  Michael asks Kevin if he’s okay today.  Kevin says it’s hard now that he and Stacey aren’t together.   Michael says he has been broken up with Amy for 4 months and that Amy was way hotter than Stacey, so imagine how much more he’s hurting.  Kevin says he can’t even imagine. Kelly gets a valentine from a secret admirer.  Its from her dentist.  Michael puts Pam’s flowers on the ground, since they’re making him sad basically.  Michael says that just about everyone in the office is single right now (not true), and that everyone’s not feeling good about valentines day.  Michael tells Jim that today is a difficult day for a lot of people in the office and he needs to stop the sexy looks between himself and Pam, and that sexy becomes hostile. Michael invited Jim to “suck it” and he invites everyone to the lonely hearts club for singles only.  cause they DO have each other.

At the blood drive, Dwight is giving blood, and he says he can retract his penis up into itself.  I don’t even want to picture that.  Ooops, just did. Michael goes in to give blood.  there’s a new woman in the blood truck and she says she’s very nervous and can’t stop babbling, but that she’s trying not to talk so much.  Michael says she’s actually talking a lot.  Michael says he feels like a human juicebox, and makes jokes that he’s Type O-cean Spray, it makes the woman laugh.  Phyllis asks Jim and Pam if they want to go to lunch with Bob and her since Michael is afraid of Bob so he won’t be around, they agree.

Michael tells the woman to distract him about stuff with NO blood in it.  She says he’s cute.  He’s like “WHAT?”  Michael passes out.

Michael wakes up and asks how long he was out, he turns around to where the lady was, and there’s the security guard glaring at him.  Michael says he needs her name, they won’t give out that info though.  Kelly is ripping hearts in half and decorating.  Meredith rips off the angels wings off cupid and says now its just a stupid looking baby.

Bob Vance asks Jim how “that old jackass, that other jackass and that new jackass ” are.  Jim pauses.  Phyllis says he means Michael, Dwight and Andy.  Haha.  Bob Vance is a great character.  So is Phyllis.  They’re like those odd friends your parents had growing up.

Michael’s “singles” party sucks.  He wants everyone to go around and talk about their worst relationships.   He makes Kelly feel bad about Ryan.  He asks Oscar to get something off his chest, Oscars like “no.”

Back at lunch, Bob Vance talks about his bowling scores.  Pam says that Jim uses a 6lb ball and that he has dainty fingers.  They’re getting along so well.  Pam and Jim are kinda a young Phyllis and Bob.  But, you know, good looking.

At the party, Oscar tells a story about how he was in love with a man, and he told the man this, and the man said he wasn’t gay.  But then a friend saw him later in a gay bar.  Michael doesn’t understand.  He says its a happy ending, that the guy is obviously gay now, and Oscar should go call him.  Whoosh.  Angela says that the worst thing that happened to her is when she had two men she worked with duel over her.  They all point out that they already know about Dwight and Andy.  Angela corrects them that this was another time when she lived in Ohio three years ago.  Oscar is like “wait, you’ve had TWO sets of men duel over you?” She’s says yes she suppose she has.  Michael asks where Andy is.  Oscar says he’s on one of his honeymoons.  Andy put down all non-refundable deposits for his honeymoons, so he’s knocking them off one at a time.  Tomorrow he has hang-gliding and a couples massage.  Kevin says his worst time was one morning when he and Stacey were reading the paper and he makes a comment about the Eagles winning a championship, and Stacey was like “we’re done.” Michael regrets this type of party, and he thinks they just need to find another single person.  Dwight suggests a giant net.  Michael says they should have a mixer.  Dwight thinks its a terrible idea and they’re not letting natural selection take it’s course, like the guy who invented the seatbelt. Michael just wants to find that woman in the bloodtruck.

Michael asks Dwight how hes holding up about being single.  Dwight says “meh.”  Michael greets two lovely ladies that show up at the door for the mixer, he sets up a bigger redhead woman with Kevin Malone.  This is awkward.  Michael says to run with the ball.  Kevin and the woman stare at each other without saying anything for awkward seconds.  Kevin stands there with a gaping maw.  Michael tells the woman Kevin only gets better. Dwight is hitting on an Angela look-a-like.  Dwight tries to sell her paper and looks like he’s going to “faint.”

Back at lunch, Pam says that Bob and Phyllis have been gone to the washroom for like 20 minutes.  They start picking at their food waiting for them to come back.

Kevin chats up the redhead, but he mentions that his fiance left him…then corrects that he left her, then admits that she left him.  He thinks he blew it.  It all happened so fast.  Michale tries to fix up this awkward guy with Meredith.  He’s still waiting for that woman to come in.

Michael tells them he met a woman when he was giving blood and hoped she’d come by.  Kelly says that’s so romantic, and even more that he has her glove.  Meredith says he could be her soul mate. Dwight says no that’s probably not possible, there’s 3 billion women in the world and most of them are in Asia, the numbers just don’t add up.

Pam keeps eating Bob’s food.  She wonders if they dined and dashed.  But Jim corrects her that they didn’t dine, they just dashed.  Pam thought they were having a nice time, and is insulted that Bob and Phyllis may have bounced on them.  They check the washrooms, they’re empty.  They check the wheelchair one, they hear “noises.”  They’re like “Oh god!”  Pam and Bob come back from the “washroom.”  Jim looks like he’s lost his appetite.  Phyllis is out of breath and drank down all her water.  Bob feeds Phyllis some of the meat off his plate. Pam and Jim glare into the camera.

Kevin apologizes to the redhead, saying he gets very nervous talking to pretty girls.  She’s flattered.  He says he sweats a lot when he gets nervous and she should feel how sweaty his hand is.  She does, and says wow, it’s really sweaty.  Gross, not the only thing I bet.  He asks if she’s on email, she says yes and gives him her card. Kevin says it’s a good valentines.  Dwight keeps trying to sell this woman paper, she declines.  He says thanks for wasting his time and calls her an idiot!  He’s got a way with women he does.  Everyone’s sticking around waiting for Michael’s mystery woman to show up.  He says they can go home, they stay anyways.  They all start cleaning up, and then they say it’s time to leave.  Oscar says they should all go out together.  Michael concludes that his odds are good at finding another woman and getting over Amy.

Stanley goes up to the bloodtruck and says that he needs another cookie cause he feels dizzy and shows the woman his arm with his cotton and tape appendage.  The blood nurse says that they used bandaids, not cotton and tape.  Stanley pretends to be too dizzy to understand what she’s saying and runs away.  On his way out, Phyllis is waiting with her cotton and tape.  Stanley says to her “bandaids.”  Phyllis walks away and says “darn.” Creed stole some blood in a bag out of the truck.

All in all, another funny episode.  Not the best, and i question why they didn’t air this around Valentine’s day instead?  It’s more than slightly dated now.

Ok, so I know Hollywood couples split up on a daily basis. Marriages can’t take the spotlight, celebrities acquire wandering eyes, yadda, yadda. So it really shouldn’t come as a huge shock that Warren Lieberstein and Angela Kinsey (Angela from The Office) have just separated.

Except that I’m really sad about it.

The couple just had a baby girl, Isabel Ruby Lieberstein, about 8 months ago. It just seems so sad that they are splitting up after just starting a family.

Also (fun facts), Angela’s best friend in real life is Jenna Fisher who plays Pam on the show. And Warren’s brother* is Paul Lieberstein who plays Toby. I completely love that the actors and actresses are such a tight-knit group. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Like despite how awful some things are (like this separation or the ebola virus or finding a rogue hair in your lunch that is obviously not yours), somehow, someway everything will be ok in the end. And it is my sincerest hope that Jenna Fisher (Pam) and John Krasinski (Jim) fall in love for real…unless I get him first of course. In which case, watch your back Pammy, because as much as I adore you, I have no problem taking you down if you attempt to come between us.

Do you realize how much good TV comes on Wednesdays? Wednesday is my new Thursday. Booya.

• A bunch of analog stations switched over to digital yesterday ahead of the new deadline. So far the FCC is reporting very few issues. Sidenote: A kid I work with just submitted his application for a converter box. I asked him “What took you so long?” He said, “I didn’t know anything about it.” If you don’t watch enough TV to hear about the digital transition, I think it’s okay if we transition without you.

• Amy Poehler’s new show, Parks & Recreation,  started filming today! Color me geeked! Kristin Dos Santos has an interview with the star herself.

• Angela Kinsey (Angela from The Office) and her husband Warren Lieberstein have separated. If the name Lieberstein sounds familiar, it’s because Warren is Paul Lieberstein’s (aka Toby Flenderson) brother.

• I think a recession era economy, novelty shoes should be the first things to go. Check out these Family Guy and Fresh Prince insprired sneakers.

• The Roots are Jimmy Fallon’s house band and word on the street is they can only perform all new original content. That’s about 200 new songs a season. Better get crackin!

• Speaking of late night music, U2 is going to perform on Letterman…for a straight week. I’m sorry, but that just doesn’t sound appealing to me.

• Jorge Garcia from LOST blogged about his  salt crystal deoderant. I kind of want to try it.

• Speaking of LOST, it better watch it’s back. It’s losing viewers every week and it will have to compete with American Idol starting in March.

• After 19 seasons The Simpsons got brand new opening titles. It’s the same general theme but we get to see a lot more of our town favorites. There’s also a few homages to past episodes in there.

• Guess which washed up early 90’s rapper is getting a TV show? MC Hammer. I know, I was hoping for Snow too.

• Someone is going to die on Big Love. Michael Ausiello runs us through the odds.

• Tracy Morgan’s apartment caught fire due to a busted light in a fish tank. Surprisingly the fish were okay, as were the rest of the folks in his building.

• And finally, my favorite non TV related link of the week:  “Fidelity: Don’t Divorce Us” Take part in the Courage Campaign if you’re so inclined.

So here it is! A little later than most blogs but I will still cover it. I had some technical difficulties the other day when I was trying to add the pictures and publish it; the program I use here was having some problems showing the pictures in the article; so unfortunately this is kind of irrelevant now, as I’m sure everyone has seen the pictures already. I have still decided to publish this article since it took a lot of work and time, and because this is my input on the dresses. The Golden Globes took place on Sunday, and there were many celebrities in attendance. The main highlight of any awards show for me is of course the women and their beautiful dresses. This event finished with mixed reviews for me – there were a few gorgeous gowns, several fairly nice ones, and a few horrible mistakes! Overall, there was nothing spectacular about the fashion, but there were some favourites of mine for sure. Here I will show you in my fashionable opinion, which were the bad, the beautiful and the barely noticeable. Be sure to check out who I picked for my “Golden Globe of Fashion” award!

The Bad - in one or another, these girls just didn’t cut it. Some of them chose beautiful dresses – that looked horrible on them. The others chose great silhouettes – in ugly styles that made me wanna cry. Either way, these woman were the worst of the GG’s.

Amanda Seyfried’s  dress isn’t really that bad on it’s own, but on her it really doesn’t work; the hue practically blends in with her skin tone, and the cut is doing nothing in the way of creating curves. It’s just really unflattering for her in every way possible, even though it is a very beautiful dress.

Angela Kinsey was looking a little cheap on the red-carpet in this horribly fitted strapless dress. The colour is absolutely gorgeous but the cut is terrible on her body, leaving her with no curves, the bust looks just a little droopy, and the length of the dress isn’t even right! It really just looks like a dress she took out of her closet from when she was short and younger; sooo wrong!

Cameron Diaz isn’t usually one to land herself on the worst dressed list – I mean, she may not wear gorgeous, drool-worthy ensembles, but this pink sack is really out of left field! The shape is so dumpy, the colour is nauseating (and not to mention so 5 years ago!), and the bottom looks like rags. I mean really, being unique is one thing – this is just tacky!

Christina Hendricks is lucky enough that this simple black dress generally looks okay on her – but definately not great. It’s just weird – the architectural bust and where it’s gathered; it just doesn’t seem right. Overall the cut is fairly flattering on her – at least it still shows her beautiful curves – but it’s still kind of sack-like to me.

Frieda Pinto may have been positively noticed for her talent, but it’s a shame we had to watch her on stage in a dress like that! Apparently there is a new huge trend: dresses that look like sacks! No thank you ladies! What is with the gathered material on the hip? Maybe if the dress fit in that area, and of course was a completely different colour (you know one that doesn’t look like puke!) then the dress would have been okay. She does get some points since the puke colour seems to compliment her skin beautifully.

Jenna Fisher would look beautiful if this was, say, an evening cocktail party on the beach. I don’t know I think it’s a little too bohemian/hippie for a red-carpet awards show. The dress is actually quite pretty, fits her well and flows nicely, but there is a time and a place for every dress, and she definately didn’t get it right. But hey, at least she skipped the sack!

Jessica Capshaw was probably one of my least favourite of the night. This dress just scream tacky and tarty, everything fashion is not. If you’re going to go short for any big red carpet event, it has to be classy; this is like Barbie’s nightmare! First of all, it is waaay too short for this event – it’s not a club! On top of that, the colour, well again is so 5 years ago; and beyond those two rules, it just doesn’t fit her! The cut is horrible, it just makes her look stumpy.

Lisa Rinna’s lack of style didn’t really surprise me – in my opinion she’s one of the worst dressed celebrities ever. Of course, this is no exception. I mean really what was she thinking? Maybe her and Jessica Capshaw shop together, because this looks so Vegas whore to me – the high slit combined with the plunging v-neck and the awful shiny print! Does she dress herself or is her stylist stuck in the 90’s too?

Maggie Gyllenhaal seriously should fire her stylist for this one! Unbelievably, while searching for pictures more than a few bloggers claimed this as one of the best dresses of the night! Leopard print is so out, especially in colours and with good reason – it’s pretty tacky! Other than accessories like handbags and shoes, leopard prints should be left on leopards. Besides the print, the dress is not flattering on her one bit – again, it diminishes any hint of womanly curves, leaving her looking like a ruler. Not to mention how cheap that black waistband looks. In my opinion, this was a complete miss!

Marisa Tomei tried something different and went for a two piece set; failing badly! The bottom of the dress is nice, very sophisticated and flowing; but the top is horrible! All those ruffles looks a little too pirate-like to me, and the belt just doesn’t work. The shape and cut is very nice on her body, it’s just too bad the top is so ugly.

Penelope Cruz chose one of the most boring dresses of the night, there is nothing amazing about the dress, or how it looks on her. I think it’s pretty ill-fitted personally, it gives her no shape or curves. I think if she was going to pick such a boring dress, she could have chose a less boring hue. The horizontal stripes are kind of cheap looking too.

Sally Hawkins must have got dressed in the dark or something, because it’s very hard to believe anyone would happily choose this monstrosity! What to say, everything about this dress is wrong – the tiers are too hippie looking, and really it kind of reminds me of a Addam’s family favourite!

Tina Fey seriously does not have the ability or assets to pull off a dress like this. On it’s own, the dress would be wonderful, but I think the plunging neckline is a little lost on this woman; she doesn’t have the bust to pull it off. Also, the halter top style is unflattering on her wide shoulders; on the television, she looked kinda like a football player in a dress. It just doesn’t suit her and she definately did not do this dress justice.

The Beautiful – These are my favourite dresses of them all. The first 5 will be my top favourites (excluding the one I like the most). Then I will show the rest that I loved, and at the very bottom of the post, you will find my winner of GG style. I hope you enjoy these beautiful gowns as much as I did.

Blake Lively chose a very beautiful gown by Nina Ricci. The cut is perfect for her body, showing off her curves and her bust in a very sexy, yet classy way. The blue hue is right on trend and compliments her skin tone flawlessy. Her casual and fun hairstyle contrasts with the royal inspiration of her gown, for a perfect balance.

Eva Mendes made a very popular choice for her gown; which was designed by John Galliano for Dior. She has won the best dressed of the GG’s by many fashion insiders, including InStyle magazine online. I absolutely adore this dress – it’s chic, classy and unique, yet simple. The style is perfect for her body shape, giving her curves just the right amount of attention. The white hue is very striking and pops against her darker skin tone. I’m so in love with the slightly flared hem as well.

Laura Linney’s choice of dress truly represents what I love about couture gowns – absolute beauty. I was not at all surprised to see the star donning an Elie Saab gown, complete with all the intricate details he loves to use. The colour is very beautiful – although in certain lights I think it would wash out her pale skin. The silhouette is gorgeous and gives her the perfect amount of curves, and I love the draping near the hem.

Rumer Willis was definately a surprise to me; I love this Reem Acra gown. The purple is gorgeous and not to mention right on trend, and the style is very girly without sacrificing sophistication. I love the cut for her as well, the tight waist with the full skirt really evens out her shoulders, which seem a little wider than most of her body. I’m not too fond of the belt thing, I think it could have been nicer, but overall it’s a very beautiful dress.

Evan Rachel Wood chose one of my favourite dresses by Elie Saab. She was definately a close favourite for me, but I felt it may be a biased choice since Saab is my favourite designer. This dress is just beautiful, I love the details and Saab just knows how to do a really feminine dress. I’m not a very big fan of plunging necklines (especially on young girls with small boobs!), but it honestly doesn’t look tacky on her. The tiers are beautiful and it just steals the spotlight, even in black!

And the Golden Globe of Fashion (as chosen by me) is……………………………………..

Taraji Henson! Someone I have never heard of, but she blew me away in this J.Mendel dress. This was definately my favourite of the night, I think it’s so gorgeous. I love how she didn’t go for the usual strapless gown, and went for something in a classy, understated cut, and let the details do the talking. The silhouette and bias shape is really wonderful on her, it makes the most of her lovely body. I’m a really big fan of those white accents, I think it makes the dress; and how beautiful is that material? A perfect 10!

The Rest of my Favourites From the GG’s:

America Ferrera definately knows how to do the short dress at an event like this. I was always a huge fan of the bubble dress/skirt trend, and I really love how reminiscient of the bubble this Oscar de la Renta dress is. She really picked a great dress for her body, her waist looks very trim and she definately has the whole hourglass shape right. The hue is very pretty too, not really the best hue for her skin tone but it’s not hurting her look either.

Amy Adams’ gown was absolutely gorgeous in Oscar de la Renta, and was very close to landing into my top 5; I just feel like the whole “big gown” has been done a lot and I was more attracted to the sleeker, sophisticated styles. I really love how the black stands out against her pale skin, and the silhouette really works on her small frame; the details are amazingly intricate too, something I really appreciate in any gown.

Anne Hathaway is one of my favourite celebrities when it comes to fashion; she’s very feminine and classy and I love to see that from young stars today. Any time Anne is on the red-carpet for a formal event I know she’s going to wear something gorgeous – and this was no exception – she positively shined in Armani Prive. I love the detailing on the top, and how the bodice extends past the hip; most women can’t pull it off but Anne just looks elongated and statuesque in the style. The colour is amazing, it really gets noticed on the red-carpet, and who doesn’t love a big, flowing skirt?

Christina Applegate almost landed in my top 5 – if it weren’t for the lack of detail on her otherwise gorgeous Roberto Cavalli gown. The yellow isn’t really a great hue for her skin tone, but she still looks beautiful. The shape is really wonderful on her body, and gives her beautiful curves – really emphasizing how magnificient the cut has to be on such a simple dress. The fabric is pretty, and I adore the gathers on the skirt; it was a very good choice.

Elizabeth Banks was another one of my favourites because I love the cap sleeve dresses as opposed to the usual strapless. I think the simplicity of this J.Mendel dress was a very wise choice for her; it really emphasizes her gorgeous curves. The shape works so well on her in every way and the fitted style oozes sexy without her showing a lot of skin. The train is beautiful, I really love the side train styles; and the intricate detail throughout the dress makes this dress a real piece of art when seen up close.

Eva Longoria looked absolutely stunning in this red strapless gown by Reem Acra (which seems to be the favourite design label of the GG’s). I really love the sclloped detail on the bustline, although I do feel there is a little too much cleavage (just my personal taste of course). The fit is flawless, and really accentuates her petite curves.What I really love about this dress is how fitted the bodice is and how full and beautiful the mermaid hem is – I have always been a huge fan of mermaid dresses, and of course this is no exception.

Hayden Panettiere’s Gianfranco Ferre dress was definately my favourite in the way of colour, but I did feel like she didn’t pull it off wonderfully. The only real problem I have is the bust area – it seems to flatten her and looks kind of square. Other than that, I think this dress is beautiful – the colour and the shape are so feminine, very princess like. The beading is of course a gorgeous addition to any formal dress and I really love it, that’s all I can say.

Kate Beckinsale is another celebrity whose style I adore, she’s very chic and put together. I love her choice as usual, this J.Mendel dress is beautiful. I was very attracted to these dresses with sophisticated elegance, and this is definately one of the best. Like the others, the fitted style really accentuates her curves wonderfully and the white of the dress actually works well with her skin tone. I love the detailing at the top of the bust, but I’m not too fond of how the hemline looks – although it could just be the angle of the picture.

Kate Winslet was a favourite for the awards and a favourite for her stunning dress by Yves Saint Laurent. This dress is very chic in every good way; the minimal detail and impeccible design make this simple black dress shine. I love the little bow on the belt, for just a touch of girly glamour, but otherwise it’s a great dress for someone of Kate’s age. It’s may not be adorned and embellished, or full and fluffy, but this is a very stunning dress.

Mary Louise Parker looked absolutely gorgeous in this Carlos Miele dress that seems to be made for her. I love the banding detail on the bodice, it’s very slimming and gives texture, which helps create curves on thin women like her. The thing I really love about her choice though is the colour; it really pops against her dark hair and pale skin, and it makes her stand out. I also adore the hem – I just love trains that kind of sprout from the back of the dress – they’re very pretty.

Miley Cyrus is often the focus of many fashion insider’s who like to bash the experimenting teen for her bad taste. I really hope this beautiful Marchesa dress shut them right up! I think this grecian style really works for her – she’s young enough to pull it off, even when it’s not exactly “in”. The white just pops so well against her skin and hair (although she looks a little washed out in this particular lighting), and I love that little peek of printed fabric – it just makes it more interesting. I can’t wait to see Miley on the formal red carpets much much more, as I feel her dress choices are usually beautiful.

Olivia Wilde was definately a favourite of many at the GG’s, with her gorgeous lavender ruffled dress by Reem Acra. The shape really looks nice on her small frame, and the colour is very falttering against her darker skin tone. I love the simplicity of the construction, since the ruffles are the detailing, and the full skirt is so pretty. I also love how she went with such a simple hairstyle to go with such a noticeable gown.

Sandra Bullock really wowed me in this stunning Dior dress by John Galliano.  I love the one shoulder style on her, she pulls it off so well with her toned upper body. I really think the fitted bodice works well with her body, helping emphasize some curves on her. Who wouldn’t love those romantic tiers of ruffles, that make her dress so pretty? It’s just everything a woman could want in a dress; it’s feminine, sexy and would definately make you feel like a princess.

Honourable Mentions: These celebrities dresses weren’t the best but they were definately note-worthy.

Angelina Jolie isn’t someone I usually admire in the way of style – I find her look a little casual for my taste; but her sophistication really helped her on the red carpet, this dress is very classy. I love it’s flowing material and the easy elegance of the shape; I also love that the high slit adds a touch of sexiness to it. The hue is a little washed out on her, and I do feel as if I may have seen her wear something like this before, but overall I think it’s a very chic choice.

Anna Paquin’s choice of dress was a little boring, but I think it was a very sophisticated look. I love the Herve Leger on her body, the fitted silhouette really flatters her body. The hue of the dress is very striking, and it looks great against her skin tone. I don’t really like the bias detailing on the hip, but it does work in elongating the body. It’s nice but it’s nothing special really.

Beyonce is usually a dream on the red carpet, donning some of the most beautiful dresses by the biggest names is couture. As big of a fan I am of Elie Saab, I felt there were many better dresses in his collection than this one. I think it’s a very beautiful dress, and it does suit Beyonce’s glam style, with all the glittering detail. The hue is great against her dark skin, and I love that sexy high slit; but my favourite thing about her look here is definately that gorgeous necklace she is wearing.

Debra Messing’s dark blue dress is very beautiful, but I’m am not a fan of that shiny blue material one bit; it’s a little too immature for her age. The colour is really nice against her pale skin and red hair, but again the shiny fabric almost ruins the compliment. I really love those ruffled pleats near the hem, they’re gorgeous. The silhouette hugs her curves nicely, giving her a very nice figure. Overall, I think this dress is one of the best ones, if it weren’t for the sheen.

Demi Moore look average on the red carpet; her dress is nice but nothing special. I really like the light beige hue against her tanned skin, it really makes the cream of the hue pop. Overall the silhouette is okay; I love the criss-cross straps, but the bust area looks kind of droppy and the dress is not fitted to the point of perfection; it seems to kind of hang off of her frame. All together, the dress is decent.

Drew Barrymore’s dress got mixed reviews from fashion bloggers and editors alike. I have mixed feelings about her look myself; it was hard for me to decide which category she fit into. Overall, the dress is okay, but when you look into the details, it kind of falls apart on her. It’s not a very flattering shape on her, the button type detailing on the side seams add extra bulk to her stomach and hip area. I love the off-the-shoulder top, it’s very sexy and it looks great on her. It really seems to get ugly at the hip, and I love the train but it looks kind of matronly (and not in the vintage way)! There’s just something about her in this dress, that doesn’t work for me.

Heidi Klum actually decided to go retro for the red carpet and don a vintage Galanos dress; that I love! It seemed a little too casual for my taste but I think it’s so cute. The silhouette is fun and playful, and of course it looks flawless on the curvy supermodel. The bust is cute, the big bow is adorable and the full skirt is just the icing on the cake. I feel kind of sad that she ruined the look with such edgy shoes, but hey Heidi’s a fan of the Gladiators. It’s like she can never look bad.

Isla Fisher’s dress kind of confused me to be honest. It just looks weird to me, but not really in an ugly way; it’s interesting. I can’t help but notice it and I stared at this dress for quite a long time trying to decide whether I liked it or not; which means I couldn’t have hated it! The pattern of the overlapping fabric doesn’t make sense to me – it seems like it was just put there with no logical reason behind it. What can I say, I don’t hate it I just think it’s unique. It looks really nice on her body, but the hue almost blends in with her skin tone.

January Jones was so close to landing in my favourites; if it didn’t kind of remind me of Cinderella! I don’t like the colour, the blue is a little juvenile for my taste, but I love the design. It’s interesting without being crazy and it fits her so well; her body looks awesome in this. The blue is too soft for her light sin tone and it kind of washes her out a bit. I’ll forgive it thought because I just love this design way too much!

Jennifer Carpenter chose a beautiful dress that doesn’t fit her well enough. The bust looks like it’s going to fall and expose her, and really she looks too thin in the dress. It’s sad because I think on someone with more curves and womanly features would look stunning in this. The bodice is so well made, it’s absolutely gorgeous, and I’m such a sucker for floaty skirts. I do think the black contrasts well with her pale skin, but I also think her hair is horrible with the overall style.

Jennifer Morrison seems to be taking some style tips from Debra Messing. What is with the shiny fabrics here? I don’t like most shiny fabrics, they look soo cheap. I love the colour though, it’s gorgeous and it really looks nice on her skin tone and with her light hair. The shape is a little awakward, almost like it doesn’t fit, but I think it does. It’s just kind of weird, but not in the good way like Isla Fisher.

Jennifer Lopez seems to love those draping, plunging neckline type dresses – but we’ve seen this on her before many times! That’s really the only thing I hate about her in this dress; it’s a gorgeously sexy dress and it does look hot on her curvy body but it’s just so expected from her. It would have been nice to see something other than a deep plunge, fitted dress. She needs a new style.

Kyra Sedgwick’s red dress is nice enough, but it’s a little on the boring side. I like the detailing on the bust, and the poufy train, but I think that belt looks really tacky, and the material almost looks like it has aleather finish or something – it just has that leathery look to it. The red looks okay on her skin, but it’s definately not her best red. The silhouette is nice on her, gives her more curves than she has, but really the dress is just average to me.

Lisa Edelstein wore a very sexy but sophisticated black dress. I really love this one; if it weren’t so similar to the gorgeous one that Kate Winslet wore, I probably would have put her in the favourites. I think it’s so sexy for such a simple design. I love the shape on her, you can really see a curvaceous figure, and the bow detailing in so cute. I may not like shiny fabrics, but I love glittery ones like this. It’s just simple elegance to me, very chic.

Maria Menounos’ dark purple dress is absolutely beautiful. Everything about this dress is right on trend; the colour is in the forefront of fashion right now, florals are huge, and the minimalistic silhouette is a favourite. It looks so stunning on her, it really defines her tiny little waist, and gives her just enough contrast in the hip for a beautiful curve. The fabric is wonderful, very light and flowing. There isn’t a single thing wrong with this dress, it’s just lacking that special something that would have made it a favourite.

Melissa George almost ended up on the Bad list for me. I had to look at the dress very seriously before I decided it wasn’t as horrible as most of those were. I just don’t really like this style. That plastic bow thing on top is really what makes it seem cheap to me – the rest is just kind of boring. It looks okay on her body, nothing special, and I really like the high slit and the small train. It’s not horrible, I just don’t think it’s very nice or anything.

Renee Zellweger seemed to be one of the least favourite of the night for most of those who don’t work in fashion. I didn’t think this ensemble was as bad as most women seem to think. I think the skirt is gorgeous, I love mermaid styles and black can’t really be tacky, so the skirt is great. The sheer top isn’t that bad either, I just think that the nude bustier underneath is what ruins the entire look; makes it look cheap. I really think that if she had gone for something black or sparkly underneath, this would be beautiful.

Salma Hayek takes the same route as J.Lo, I have seen her in something just like this before – only it was black not white. It looks sexy on her, it really does; it fits her curves beautifully and the silhouette and design is flawless. I really like her in whites, more than I like her in blacks – ithw white seems to pop against her skin tone better. There is nothing wrong with the dress, I think it’s great but I think she needs to get a new style as well!

Vanessa Hudgens looks very pretty, but a little boring for a young girl like herself; she could have worn almost anything! The nude hue is a little too close to her own skin tone, which usually washes most women out, but she looks radiant. The simple cut and design are a little too sophisticated for her, but she looks pretty; nothing special really, but I do love her hair.

The Golden Globes were last night, and the night’s big winner was undoubtedly Kate Winslet. She picked up two awards, one for best actress in a drama for Revolutionary Road, and the other for best supporting actress in a drama for The Reader (see a full list of winners here). As if that weren’t enough, she looked simply stunning, and in my opinion, was the overall best dressed of the night. But Kate wasn’t the only one looking good. Here are some of the best, and worst, dressed of last night:

As usual, America Ferrera looks absolutely darling.

The ladies of The Office really brought it, especially Angela Kinsey and Mindy Kaling. I think Jenna Fischer looks hot too (holy cleavage, Batman!), and I think her dress is really pretty, but maybe not formal enough for the Globes.

I think Jennifer Lopez looks really hot here. And I kind of like that her dress recalls her famous Grammy dress of years past. But, I also think it might be a little too hoochie for the Golden Globes.

I can’t decide what I think about this. On the one hand, I think Drew Barrymore looks glamorous, cute and, to quote BAngieB, very fancy. But, her dress also kind of resembles curtains from my granny’s and her hair’s a bit big. Eh, I like it. Drew’s got a hold on me.

I think Anne Hathaway’s dress is fab, but I’m not crazy about her hair. It’s a little too severe for my taste.

I’m just very “meh” about Angelina Jolie’s dress. My guess is she still has a little baby weight in her midsection, and this cut is to help disguise that, but I don’t think it’s very flattering. I do like her really dark hair though, and Brad looks hot.

Cameron Diaz better watch out, or she’ll end up looking like her co-star from There’s Something About Mary.

Well, I’m sure neither Dwight or Andy will actually die but “The Duel” should definitely be an exciting episode of the Office when it airs next week.  I’m not really sure why it didn’t air this week considering the fact that NBC’s Thursday lineup was all new besides the Office.  Anyway for those of you that watched the Moroccan Christmas episode you know why Dwight and Andy are gonna throw-down in the next episode.  Basically Angela pissed off Phyllis for the final time and Phyllis told everyone (besides Andy because he was off playing his weird instrument somewhere) that Angela and Dwight were sleeping together.  Anyway if you head over to my new blog location at blogspot you’ll see that it’s much easier to post videos of what I’m talking about. This Office episode is probably going to be the best one of the season and I’m really happy about that considering how funny “The Surplus” episode was.

There’s also more good news for the Office seeing as how they’re starting to get guest stars on the show during the post-Super Bowl episode called “Stress Relief”. Jack Black and Jessica Alba are going to be starring in a bootlegged movie that the Office watches during the day (no doubt Michael brought back Movie Day now that nobody actually comes to make sure he’s doing his job). Also, according to Wikipedia, the Office spinoff is supposed to air February 1, 2009.
