Every blog needs a concept, and having written one, I haven’t yet figure out how I am going to really carry out this concept. ie. What kinds of posts it entails. But until I figure that out, some beautiful photos to inspire.

sunday morning, no time for pirelli part 2, so i will limit myself to share a very beautiful candid of american top model angela lindvall (born 1979) taken in paris some fashion week ago. you may find it weird that i post this picture instead of a ‘patinata’ picture, namely one of those perfect glamour flawless pictures that are typical of fashion photography – and which, in my opinion, smell like death spirit, being absence of flaws absence of life… but this picture of a tired lindvall with dishevelled hair, no make-up and precocious wrinkles well in evidence (ah those models, how early they start to age…), this picture looks so sexy to me! miau! btw, i don’t know about other galaxies, but i think lindvall is one of sexiest women on planet earth…  so expect a gallery about her.

Jimmy Choo+H&M+Celebrities

A-Listers Party In Hollywood

Last night, Hollywood A-Listers came out to celebrate the anticipated and amazing collaboration and launch of the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection. Celebrities like Paris & Nicky Hilton, Hayden Panettiere, Kate Walsh, Olivia Wilde, Sheryl Crow, Cat Deeley, Angela Lindvall, Maggie Grace, Mini Andén, among others put their Jimmy Choo and party to support and show some loving to the brands. The star-studded party was held at a private residence high above the famous Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills and featured a Grammy-worthy performance by M.I.A., who dazzled the guests in front of the L.A. skyline. Hollywood’s stars were given an exclusive sneak peak at the glamorous collection that will be unveiled on November 14^th in approximately 200 H&M stores globally The collection includes the most coveted shoes and accessories. For the first time Jimmy Choo has also designed women’s clothing to complement the accessories as well as men’s clothing, shoes, bags and accessories.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang es una peli de Shane Black de 2005. No me queda muy claro si es un enlatado de una peli más vieja o si simplemente es la versión de la novela de Brett Halliday, Bodies Are Where You Find Them.

La peli es protagonizada por Robert Downey Jr. en una excelente presentación. Esta vez acompañado de la bella Michelle Monaghan en un thriller de corte políciaco cargado de un fino humor y una narrativa bastante divertida. Casi que sería mejor catalogarla como un anti-héroe en una peli de cine negro, donde el protagonista es un ladrón, que se vuelve actor, detective, amante de la protagonista, vengador y antes que todo es el narrador de la peli.

La peli empieza con unos créditos magníficos elaborados por Danny Yount y luego un corte a una escena vintage en los 80’s donde un pequeño mago es saboteado por una niña malcriada quien recibe su merecido del supuesto padre.

De ahí en adelante la narración envuelve a Downey Jr, Monaghan, Val Kilmer, Larry Miller, Rockmond Dunbar, Angela Lindvall y Shannyn Sossamon en un vértigo de situaciones circunstanciales que desencadenan en un asombroso acto de magia y un final escalofriante para el thriller.

La razón de la excelente narración es la amplia experiencia de Black como escritor de Hollywood que va desde TODAS las versiones de Lethal Weapon (incluída la 5 que está en preproducción), The Long Kiss Goodninght en 1996 con Geena Davies, Craig Bierko, Samuel L. Jackson y Brian Cox, Last Action Hero en 1993 con Arnold Schwarzenegger, F. Murray Abraham, el finado Anthony Queen e Ian McKellen, y The Last Boy Scout en 1991 con Bruce Willis, Damon Wayans y Halle Berry. No son las pelis más profundas ni más interesantes pero me entretuvieron mucho en la era del colegio.

Terry Richardson and the amazingly gorgeous Angela Lindvall, work with Jimmy Choo again. This amazing ad is all about luxury, glam, extravagance and everything a filthy rich girl is all about. Exotic leather and 11 cm shoes are part of the exquisite and hot collection. Total decadence… Very Jimmy Choo.

is it weird that i’m obsessed with jimmy choo ads?  i want to be angela lindvall.  i even dyed my hair BROWN last year in an attempt to be her.  swoon…

this is what i would've looked like strolling from school to school on park avenue if it weren't for my angry feet!

For Spring, Alexander Wang deviated from his tried-and-true route of edgy black grunge and rock apparel and opted for… preppy – if a tad abstract – looks “cheerleaders and jocks should’ve worn in high school” (Style.com). The football gear felt very 40s – I think of the Three Stooges – and the striped sweaters and other prep-wear (semi-sheer sweatervests, etc.) filled in the leftover slots. Leather shorts and wool felt almost fallish to me, which is good, because that’s what season we’re wearing now. Who says you can’t take cues for fall from the spring runway?

Karlie Kloss. Gothic sporty chic? Check.

Freja Beha Erichsen.

Abbey Lee. Cheerleaders’ uniforms for the big game? Check.

Magdalena Fracowiak. Players’ uniforms? Check (complete with furry shoulder pads!)

Final thoughts: at first glance I didn’t really like the collection, but when I browsed through all the looks individually, I ended up liking lots of them – mostly for their uniqueness. No other designer has gone the 40s-football and sporty-prep route for spring… yet… So yes, I liked it.

Ahhh, NY Fashion Week is almost here.  How exciting! Apart from my alarm clock reading 9/9/09, models are starting to make their first appearances. This photo was snapped in front of Bryant Park by photographer Brian Ach . It looks like the models are wearing  the Fashion’s Night Out shirts but maybe not…cute anyway.
