Say it ain’t so. And here, I thought 95% of Hollyweird LOVED the anointed one. I’ll give her kudos for speaking out and for actually grasping the fact that he is a socialist in expensive, centrist clothing. Now, if we could just get her to stop stealing other women’s husbands…

It seems that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are feeling the Christmas spirit every day of the year because the couples donations reached 6.4 million dollars in 2008.

The amount is two times higher than that donated in 2007. This year the money were divided by Global Health organization – two million, one million to the Human Rights Foundation and – one million to “Do Good” foundation. The Armed Services of America YMCA has received the amount of $ 500,000, Brad Pitt’s hometown public school received $ 50,000, and nearly one million went to various projects in Cambodia

Let me tell you guys, black men have a rep for loving women with big, voluptuous booties.  Well I’m here to set the story straight…we do!  I love a nice booty!  I don’t mean a wide ass load of booty that’s just big for no damn reason, I mean proportionately juicy like Beyonce or Kim Kardashian. 

Now on the other hand some of my Caucasian friends think that Beyonce’s booty is too big.  Huhn?  Too big?  They’d prefer Angelina Jolie styled booty.  Don’t get me wrong, Angelina is cute, but she doesn’t have booty.  She has a flat booty – CD cover booty.

 There’s no right or wrong in this situation.  The choice is yours, phat booty or flat booty?

‘Can I help you out with that trash?’

I heard a voice over my shoulder and, sure enough, when I looked up it was Gwyneth Paltrow on a break from up-dating her website, GOOP.

I knew very well she was being ironic. Certainly, she seemed quite tickled by the notion of it. So I left my chore and invited her into my mouse house.

After I’d washed my hands I got some fish fingers out of the fridge. They can defrost together, I thought as I welcomed her warmly.

Gwynnie is a piece of alabaster perfection and she can do long and short hair, as she showed us in Sliding Doors. I asked for some beauty tips, which she surrendered gracefully.

Nevertheless, she roundly dismissed my offer to paint her nails, with a snort through her elegant nose.

‘Do you prefer Luke or Owen Wilson?’ I asked, referring to her roles in the Wes Anderson films.

‘Oh, I couldn’t possibly choose between them,’ she replied coyly.

‘I could,’ I revealed. ‘Owen. More chamomile tea?’

We went for a walk around Ravenscourt Park so she could get some air. She seemed to relax a little but I have to admit I was quite annoyed because she was wearing sunglasses so no-one knew who she was.

She told me about how she thinks shampoo gives children cancer and how she bounces on a trampoline to sculpt the fabulous skyscraper heel legs that tell the world she’s sexy even though she’s the mother of Moses and a piece of fruit.

‘And Chris- well, he’s so talented. He takes his music very seriously,’ she opened up.

‘Do you think he takes quite a lot of stuff seriously?’ I asked, trying to widen my eyes.

‘No, not at all,’ she replied very seriously. ‘Chris has got a fantastic sense of humour. Just this morning over breakfast he was saying something really funny… Now what was that?’

I let her flail around like a weighted puppy for what seemed like an eternity before blowing the whistle and diving in with a basic bacon and egg gag, at which she laughed so hard I began to wonder if she really does find Chris a bit of a card.

I could tell right from the get-go that she wasn’t going to dish the dirt- she’s not desperate enough, having been born into fame and privilege.

So I took the liberty of switching off and playing ’shag, marry, cliff’, teaming her up with Jennifer and Angelina, seeing as they all like a bit of Brad Pitt.

It was a no-brainer she was ‘marry’- hell, I’d already managed to spend a few hours in her company without really listening. The other two were easy as well: ’shag’ Jen and ‘cliff’ Angelina (playing the rules by my original understanding of them, whereby ‘cliff’ is the person you are so crazy about you would be willing to jump off one with them).

When I came round, Gwynnie was talking about Anna Wintour and I regretted not paying attention. She said Anna started inviting her to lunches with John Galliano after her Oscar win and reckoned it was because the Queen of Vogue admired her work.

I let it slide. But it got me thinking about Shakespeare in Love.

‘Joseph Fiennes is quite intense but don’t you think his eyes are too close together?’ I asked, hungry for her professional opinion.

‘I was so blessed to work with Jo. He’s a giant of an actor,’ she replied.

‘Wow. Taller than Tim Robbins?’ I asked.

I think I got the wrong end of the stick but I knew she was relieved I didn’t allude to her acceptance speech debacle.

Instead, I praised her English accent and told her she was much better than Renee Zellweger, who sounds like she’s being goosed by the President but can’t let on.

Gwynnie found this remark distasteful. Angelina had warned me that she was a cut above but did I listen? No.

‘Have some of my Mum’s fruit cake with a thin layer of Lurpak butter on it,’ I suggested as she gathered her mobile phones to leave.

In reply to which- and oh, please God, may I never feel so wrong again- she gave me a look that still sends shivers down my spine.

‘I’m not sure I get you, Sophie,’ she said eventually, as she let two bodyguards help her on with her trainers. ‘But probing characters is my vocation so I’m going to take you to bed with me for a few nights to see what I can figure out.’

O.K, I thought.

As long as you don’t mind Jennifer Aniston joining us.

Fani byliby zachwyceni, a antyfani zwariowaliby ze złości To byłoby wydarzenie roku i oczywiście fajnie byłoby zobaczyć takie zdjęcia w prasie, ale osobiście wolałabym obejrzeć wywiad z Bradem, który na pytanie: “Kiedy się się pobierzecie?” odpowiada: “Zrobiliśmy to niedawno, to była prywatna ceremonia, tylko najbliższa rodzina, nikt z prasy”.

When you hear the word “Vampire”, what flashes across your mind?

Probably an eternal being that wakes up at midnight, leaves the grave; one who has long pointed canine teeth which it likes to sink in to the neck to drink blood for it’s living…

“Yeah, I know very well how they might look and what they do for a living!” you might say.

But how many of you are aware of the other “Real” vampires that live among you draining your energy—mental, physical and emotional?

Unfortunately, most of us don’t know how dangerous these “real” vampires are, and how much of blood of your energy they could suck in no time leaving you paralyzed!!

Most of the people could relate themselves with at least one of the following situations:

– Jennifer started off the day well and all of a sudden finds herself being criticized by her boss, then colleagues makes fun of her followed by a stranger on the restaurant who vented his anger on her for no obvious reason she could figure out, leaving her an angry, depressed, agitated and utterly, emotionally disturbed person. The bitter truth is, there are energy-suckers or people who are waiting to “sink their teeth in to your neck ruthlessly”.

– Charles is driving on his way back home or office when he keenly notices a celebrity (Or any person with some prominent attributes to his/her credit such as beauty, affluence, tall, etc) on the road followed crazily by zealous fans. He says to himself one of these things,

“I wish I were wealthy/beautiful/lucky/beautiful/well-built/handsome/tall like him/her.”

His day passes with mixed feelings of longing, feeling of inadequacy, feeling bad about himself, worrying, loss of  self-confidence, depreciated self-image, lack of enthusiasm to name a few literally!

– Lawrence goes out finding fault with everyone he encounters, perfectly capturing their flaws. Whoever he happens to come across he says “You shouldn’t do that or you shouldn’t have done that…” or “You have to be like this or that…” passing judgment and being critical about others.

In the process he compares and contrasts himself with others, piling up a lot of resentment and other unsupportive emotions in him that annihilates his OWN attitude, charm and energy as well the others he come in to contact with.

– Angelina was sitting at her office desk working with great élan when she was suddenly struck by the old memories of her altercation with her neighbor 4 months back. She fights once again, but this time in her mind! Her enthusiasm vanished in to thin air like a deflated balloon. It has become another one of her “Bad days”.

These are only some of the instances of “Vampires” from a great lot that steal your “Poise” or “Peaceful mind”, suck your mental energies, physical energies, and your emotional energies from the time you open your eyelids to the time your head hits the pillow, and even thereafter!

Now, if you had the chance to study closely all the successful men and women since the dawn of time, you would soon realize that one quality cut through all of them and it is “Keeping their mind protected from the outside clutters” that steal their energies.

An aspiring person of success should closely guard him/her from all these clutters and flushes them out on his/her first sight of them for they have great power to drain his/her energies rendering him/her powerless!!

As a matter of fact, the more energy you could save or avoid being expended in the wrong channels, the more you would be “Available” for any situation, that too with great enthusiasm and power under your belt!

It’s a common knowledge that the mind should be free of all the discouraging thoughts and evil-behaviors, but it is not a common act executing and applying this knowledge, unfortunately.

When you are mentally energetic, chances are, you would be physically as well, mostly. In fact it is these mental leakages or vampires that cause the fatigue both in the mind and in the body.

If “Save your mental energy and don’t allow any vampires to disturb your inner poise” is your primary motto, you are already well on your way to be one of those rare individuals who has control over his/her day!

And one who wouldn’t be shaken by these energy-sapping vampires in the form of people or damaging thoughts that arises with them.

If people around you aren’t going anywhere, if their dreams are no bigger than hanging out on the corner, or if they’re dragging you down, get rid of them. Negative people can sap your energy so fast, and they can take your dreams from you, too.

For the past few months I’ve been hard at work editing the Fall issue of  Speaking of Children.

This was my first time editing the magazine and I knew I had some big shoes to fill. Rigorous training was in order so I popped my copy of Spiderman in the DVD player, feeling certain that  J. Jonah Jameson, editor of the Daily Bugle, would serve as a perfect example of editorial expertise.  One flat top and many cigars later and I was on my way.

Ok, I’m kidding – there was no cigar. I work at a children’s hospital! And maybe the flat top didn’t help as much as I thought it would.

The truth is that the magazine relies on the dedicated input, direction, and ideas of a fabulous group of writers, photographers, and designers, who all work together to bring the most up-to-date information about the goings-on at the Hospital to you, our readers.

In the Fall issue we spoke with Dr. David Scheifele, the Director of the Vaccine Evaluation Center, who explained the role that vaccines play in the school years. We heard from the nurses in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), where Frankie Rubino, age one, has spent the last six months of his young life being treated for an infection that attacked his tiny lungs. And we wrote about the hardest topic of all – losing a child. We examined what role the hospital plays and what it does to ease that tremendously difficult experience.

I am proud to be part of the magazine and encourage you to check it out!

He doesn’t talk much, but gets the job done. He’s thin, doesn’t eat much, and is very sober minded. He can always be counted upon.

Hello, my name is Angelina and I work as a writer here at BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

I feel very fortunate in my role as writer – where I am daily tasked with interesting and sublime projects  (and occasionally the weird and wonderful). I spend my days writing about everything from hospital equipment and research to entire Hospital departments.

One thing that holds true no matter what I’m working on is this: all of us here at the Hospital know that supporting kids’ health is one of tremendous significance.  Not all sick children get better on their own and for those that don’t, medical interventions that are life changing for a kid – surgery, chemo, organ transplants – are sometimes needed.  Kids and their parents rely on the doctors and nurses to intervene when the usual remedies stop working.

BC Children’s is the Hospital that many people came to as children and it’s the one they now bring their own children to when the need arises. When a new Children’s Hospital is built, our expectation is that it will be here to serve many generations of kids to come.

I will be joining you here on occasion to share my Hospital work experiences as well as any interesting facts that I come across in my job.

Motywem przewodnim kolekcji “The Protector” są oczywiście węże Wg tego źródła, Angelina dostała pierwszy pierścionek z wężem, gdy była w ciąży z Shiloh, jednak wydaje mi się, że nosiła taką biżuterię wcześniej, np. na promocji filmu “Alexander”. Megan Fox: ‘I’m not a tigress like Angelina’

“People compare me to Angelina Jolie, and she’s so serious and stoic,”
Megan told the New York Times Magazine.
“I’m the opposite. When I do interviews, I say things that I think are hysterical.
But because we live in a world of sound bites, you’re not allowed to have a sense of humor.
Sarcasm doesn’t translate in print at all. And neither does self-deprecating humor.
I’m not a tigress like Angelina. Of course, people want me to be. But I want to be the contradiction of that.”

While the “Transformers” franchise actress has offered plenty of quotes that would indicate
she is in fact a “tigress,” like once saying she would “eat” Zac Efron,
the actress said sometimes the Megan people read about, is actually someone else entirely.

“When I sit down to talk to men’s magazines, there’s a certain character that I play,”
she told the mag.
“She’s not fully fleshed out — she doesn’t have her own name — but she shows up to do men’s magazine interviews.
There’s something so ridiculous about always being in your underwear in those magazines,
and you know the interview is going to run opposite those pictures. So, there’s a character that talks to all of them.”

Megan said she also isn’t the woman described in the anonymous “Transformers” crew letter,
which surfaced after she compared director Michael Bay to “Hitler” in an interview,
and which suggested she was “thankless, classless, graceless” and an “unfriendly b****.”

Kto by pomyślał? 14 listopada odbyła się gala z okazji trzydziestolecia Museum of Contemporary Art w Los Angeles. Angelina w sukni od Armaniego, Brad garniturze od Toma Forda – oboje wyglądali bosko! Na gali pojawiło się sporo znanych ludzi, chyba nie muszę pisać, kto skradł całą uwagę mediów…

Brad z uwagą ogląda wystawione dzieła – jest wielkim fanem sztuki i na pewno cieszył się z tego wyjścia. Angelina na niektórych zdjęciach ma cudowny uśmiech i wygląda olśniewająco Zdziwiły mnie komentarze części zaniepokojonych(?), rozczarowanych(?) Internautów, którym zabrakło publicznego okazywania sobie uczuć przez Brada i Angelinę. Pragnę zauwazyć, że byli w galerii sztuki, a to trochę inne miejsce niż knajpa czy czerwony dywan i wypada umieć się tam zachować. Oni bez wątpienia to potrafią.

“The Tourist”
Media podały, że u boku Angeliny zagra Sam Worthington, a film wyreżyseruje Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (“Życie na podsłuchu”), jednak obaj panowie zrezygnowali z projektu. Teraz mówi się, że Worthingtona zastąpi Johnny Depp, a reżyserem zostanie meksykanin Alfonso Cuaron (“I twoją matkę też”, “Ludzkie dzieci”, “Harry Potter i Więzień Azkabanu”).
“The Tourist” będzie amerykańską wersją francuskiego thrillera “Anthony Zimmer” z 2005 roku. Obejrzałam ten film kilka dni temu. Występują Sophie Marceau, Yvan Attal i Daniel Olbrychski (znowu to nazwisko ). Oglądając film nie miałam problemów z wyobrażeniem sobie tych samych scen z Johnnym i Angeliną. Moim zdaniem będą pasowali idealnie. Niestety sama historia nie powaliła mnie na kolana i zastanawiam się, czy ma w sobie potencjał na miarę tak ZNAKOMITYCH aktorów jak Johnny Depp i Angelina Jolie. Mimo to perspektywa zobaczenia Johnnego i Angeliny razem na ekranie jest bardzo kusząca i liczę że projekt dojdzie do skutku. Kilka zdjęć z “Anthonnego Zimmera”:

Nie znalazłam żadnych nowych informacji na ten temat. Zdjęcia ruszą najwcześniej pod koniec 2010 roku. Ridley Scott zapewne będzie chciał obsadzić w filmie swego ulubionego aktora Leonarda DiCaprio, jednak nic nie zostało jeszcze potwierdzone.

Książki mają zostać przeniesione na duży ekran i ich autorka podkreśla, że zna Angelinę i chciałaby, aby zagrała tytułową bohaterkę w adaptacji filmowej.
