It’s been quite some time since her last music video (for H.A.T.E.U.) and I am really glad she’s releasing so many singles for her album (or albums, since the current 2 singles will be on her Angels Advocate CD, featuring remixes of  her previous album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel).

Anyway, I am really a fan of Angels Cry (and I hope it gets nominated for a Grammy or 2 next year), and I hope it does well in the charts. I know she’s sort of past the stage of garnering awards, but as a fan, I really wish to see her getting more acknowledged as a musician. She’s a veteran and she knows how to write and produce music – you can see and hear it in all the albums she has released since the start of her career. And on top of that, she’s the biggest-selling female artiste of all-time! That says quite a lot doesn’t it.

Alright, I heard she’s doing well for her Angels Advocate tour, and I am still hoping she drops by Asia for a few dates, hopefully in Singapore too…  Angels Advocate will be released on 30th March!

On a side note, Precious will be released on 9th March on DVD/ Blu-Ray!

Ok I’m about to go VIDEO ON TRIAL on this video:

First of all this video completely threw me off because it’s all red, was giving me a headache. I resisted all week, said I wasn’t going to watch it, but I had to see how bad it was. I wasn’t disappointed.

Ok so they start off in the Barbie packages, cute, it’s whatever we know Mariah thinks she’s a Barbie. Pretty normal until these 3 clowns come on my screen for what reason. Then we have the nurse outfit with that whack hair, for what? I almost died with laughter when she [Mariah] falls out of the doll box because it’s something she would do in real life. At so many parts she looks like an old wench, and the piggytails are supposed to make her look younger beside Nicki. Not working. To top it off she got her husband to come out and do his Drumline routine. The words all over the screen didn’t help to make this video any less boring . Nicki’s quirkiness and swag couldn’t save it either. Good song, terrible video.

Pop music queen Mariah Carey released another music video this week titled “Angels Cry” with R&B crooner/songwriter Ne-Yo.  Coming from her remix album Angels Advocate, Mariah felt the need to take a near-perfect song from her failing album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel and add another singer to remix it.  The results are not half-bad, but the music video is okay at best.

Directed by Carey’s husband Nick Cannon, the video is far too much of a carbon-copy of her 1995 music video “One Sweet Day” with Boyz II Men.

Mariah Carey is well on her way of releasing the two remix editions of Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. In the processes of creating them, Mariah has enlisted some of the biggest stars from Beyonce to Ne-Yo, who appears in the video of the revamped “Angels Cry” above. There’s another video project in the pipeline with rapper-wonder Nicki Minaj for the attitude-ridden “Up Out My Face.” Will they be a double A-side? Unlikely. But, they both have videos up and ready. Now, it’s time for a dance video!

“SOMEONE SLAP MARIAH CAREY!”

Mariah Carey starts off her album with a song called “Betcha Gon’ Know” to be honest iDidn’t like this song at first! But it grew on me! The lyrics in “Betcha Gon’ Know” is very deep! Its a Revenge song, so if u wanna get Revenge on a Ex this song is the track u shall listen to. Further on listening to the album iWas thinking… This album is okay. But that was the first listen!

The second listen is when this album WOWED me! iWas forever saying “SOMEONE SLAP MARIAH CAREY” The reasons iWas saying this because songs like “Standing O” and “Up Out My Face (Reprise)” are just AMAZING tracks! iDidn’t think Mariah Carey had it in her! At first iDidn’t like Up Out my Face the actual song, but after the second listen and taking a careful listen to the lyrics iLiked it, and once again iWas saying “SOMEONE SLAP MARIAH CAREY” This BITCH is killing me with this album!

The album slows down near the end and Mariah Carey brought tears to my eyes on the track “Angels Cry” leading into the track “I Want to Know What Love is” It did indeed touched my emotional side and made me want to cry! iHave to give it to Mariah because the last song she made me cry on was “Through The Rain” with lyrics that Angels Cry drop:

Lighting Don’t strike, The Same place. When U and I said goodbye. I Felt the Angel’s Cry! True Love’s a gift. We let it slip. In a Storm, every night I feel the Angel’s Cry!

This track just might make u cry!

By far! This album is BRILLIANT and defiantly the one for the Collection! Well Done Mariah Carey on this album! Go out and buy it guys! The album is by far the best!

Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel will be dedicated to the late and great Michael Jackson. Mariah Carey has insinuated that the singles coming out after “I Want To Know What Love Is” and “Obsessed” might be “Ribbon” and/or “Angels Cry.” We think they are both. The album’s the most starkly different, but it’s a grower.

Oh, this is a very good day for us. Just before we decided to leave, we found out that Mariah’s album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel has leaked in it’s entirety, in full quality.  Yes, the day is here. It’s nice out, too. The album’s supposed to land next week. Mariah releases rarely leak. But, I guess someone got a hold of it.  We pre-ordered many copies of it (it’s a ritual we do every time this happens) but we are still happy to get it.
