Alguns artefatos ou costumes fazem parte, via de regra, de um dia-a-dia ou rotina de um nerd. Nem todos portam-se da mesma forma em relação a tudo que é considerado “nerd”, afinal, a gente não tem uma cartilha escrota dizendo como devemos nos vestir, o que ver e nem nada assim. Ser nerd está num patamar acima da padrozinação medonha. Contudo, sem dúvida nenhuma o universo dos jogos eletrônicos faz parte do universo nerd, embora nem todo nerd seja um fanático por games e nem todos os fanáticos por games sejam nerds.

Para homenagear estes nerds, os gamers, o Ao Sugo traz ao seu conhecimento o Angry Video Game Nerd, antigamente conhecido como Angry Nintendo Nerd. Trata-se do fenômeno da web James Rolfe, um americano nerd que ficou famoso fazendo críticas ácidas aos jogos eletrônicos de consoles antigos. Antes somente jogos da Nintendo, por pedidos e vontade própria, Rolfe atualizou seu repertório e hoje é um rosto conhecido nos EUA. Aqui, para conjugar mais ainda a nerdice, vemos um vídeo em que ele analisa e critica jogos baseados numa das franquias mais amadas de todos os tempos, Star Trek.

Pour ceux qui ne connaissaient pas AVGN,  ce site a été créé début 2004 et prend les plus mauvais jeux vidéos (consoles première génération: NES, Genesis, Jaguar, etc…) les test en vidéo et met le doigt sur les défauts de façon plus ou moins drôle et violente: jouabilité, difficulté, bugs, etc… Aujourd’hui ces vidéos sont réalisées avec Cinemassacre.com et diffusées sur Screwattack.com

Bueno bueno, por si había subido ya poco humor del tipo… fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, holy shit!!, etc etc, aquí pongo un poquito más.
Pero esta vez no se trata de insultos por que sí, es un chaval de inglaterra que se pone a hacer críticas de videojuegos MUY MALOS mientras va jugando y te muestra lo mierda que es el juego, además hace montajillos con trozos de película o graba sketches ahí en su casa relaccionados con el juego que sea, y la verdad que están bastante currados.

Además tiene la gracía de que algunos de los juegos a los que juega son super raros, por ejemplo.. “Bible Adventures” joder, ¿¿de donde cojones habrá sacado eso??, es una auténtica reliquia-basura de la época en que hacían juegos de cualquier cosa. La época de las nintendo piratas, la nimpondo, los juegos de “1000 en 1″, que te venían 6 juegos y el resto eran versiones injugables del mario bros, del kung fu, del duck hunt… que grande!!

Bueno, vuelvo al hilo, que se me va la olla; El caso es que tiene un cojón de videos, y bueno, alguno de los juegos que pone a parir a mi me gustaba.. (sniff sniff Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest) , pero la verdad que de lo que se queja pues como que tiene razón.

Byble Games: Baby moses baby moses baby moses… SHIT!!! En esta review ya tenía una musiquilla de introducción y todo. (Me encanta como suena la horrible música del juego jajaja)

Nightmare on Elm Street: Y el último, ya con la intro guapa, y con los montajes en su casa. You like nintendo?? You like playing shitty games?? You fucking nerd!! jajaja, brutal!:

I didn’t accomplish much outside of my day job today, but when I did have a little time to write, I just didn’t feel up to it.  Instead, I ended up watching about an hour of videos from this guy:

Yeah, I really don’t like some of the language the guy uses.  I think you can be funny without swearing and I’m totally not a “prude” — I just think these videos could still be great without the language and some of the bathroom humor.

But that said, obviously he’s built a huge following with what he’s done and I LOVE how he’s expressing all of the frustration *I* felt about those 80s NES games growing up.  I think it’s why I don’t play video games anymore.  :)  (And yes, I probably did use *some* of that same language, too, now that I think about it, but wow, nothing like this guy… he’s a bit insane!)

Okay, in the interest of having something appropriate for everyone, I highly recommend this video for all audiences (unless you don’t like kittens… then you should probably avoid this one, too):

The Angry Video Game Nerd (formerly known as the Angry Nintendo Nerd) is a reviewer of classic old video games. What makes him angry is the fact that he doesn’t review good games. In fact, he exclusively reviews crappy old games.

He reviews them while drinking beer (normally Rolling Rock) and spewing obscenities. At times it seems he has a minimum curse word count that he must reach to publish his videos.

His antics are very humorous and include crappy special effects and at times guest stars (Like Batman and Joker in his recent videos). I am a huge fan of his theme song written by Kyle Justin (Older videos won’t have the theme song).

You can find all of his videos at his website. You may notice that the site is “CineMassacre” which is his main gig. Check out CineMassacre.com to see some varied non-Hollywood type movies. YouTube doesn’t have many of his videos but I found a couple and have posted them past the break. These WILL be NSFW, so watch wisely!
