From January 1968 to December 1969, Dunham-Soetoro taught English and was an assistant director of the Lembaga Persahabatan Indonesia Amerika (LIA)–the Indonesia-America Friendship Institute in Jakarta, a suspected CIA front funded by the United States.

In 1967 Ann Dunham was also employed with various other Indonesian and Pakistani operations under the umbrella of  US Agency for International Development (USAID) during a time frame when USAID was composed almost entirely of CIA official and non-official cover agents who worked throughout Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Stanley Ann Dunham Soetoro, worked in Indonesia for  U.S.Agency for International Development (USAID) an embassy cover operation that aided in the identification of 5000 key members of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) which were subsequently targeted for assassination by Indonesian armed forces units, of which Colonel Lolo Soetoro was a participant.

Between 1947 and 1966 the Ford Foundation played a key role in the network of US influence operations through the pecuniary aid of magazines, scientific programs and non-communist left-wing organizations. The largest philanthropic organization in the world was in fact providing a respectful facade for CIA financial and contact operations.

In Ann Dunham Soetoro’s case, the Ford Foundation and USAID were her ‘sponsers’.  Ann Dunham’s boss at the Ford Foundation was Peter Geitner director of the Asia theatre. Peter Geithner oversaw the “microfinance” programs developed in Indonesia by Ann Dunham-Soetoro.  Peter Geitner is the father of Obama’s Treasury Secretary Timothy Geitner.

The Ford Foundation, on behalf of the CIA, began currying favor withtop Indonesian military officers as early as 1954. Ford’s chief liaison to the officers, as well as to members of the Indonesian Socialist Party, was Ford researcher Guy Parker. The CIA’s involvement in Indonesia began when the Ford Foundation started the Modern Indonesia Project, a CIA cover program during the Sukarno regime that was run out of Cornell University, University of California at Berkeley, and MIT, an academic cover operation into which Dunham Soetoro would be later placed.

Ford Foundation funded scholarships were used to provide education to a number of Indonesian military officers and economists who would become leaders in General Suharto’s government.

In 1972, Ann Dunham Soetoro returned to Hawaii to continue her CIA work in Indonesia under the non-official cover of two agency fronts, the Asia Foundation and the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii.

Dunham Soetoro returned to Indonesia in 1975 to conduct “anthropological field work.” The  year 1975 is key since it was the year East Timor gained independence from Portugal and when the CIA, working with Suharto, planned the Indonesian invasion and bloody occupation of East Timor, a move that had been given the green light by Nixon’s Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

Kissinger now serves as a foreign policy adviser to President Obama.

On December 7, 2010, WMR reported on the details of Dunham Soetoro’s so-called anthropological field work.

CIA files contain a 1967 letter to the editor of the Daily Emerald from three anthropology professors at the University of Oregon supporting a decision of the American Anthropological Association (AAA) that strongly condemned the covert meddling of the CIA and Defense Department in anthropological field work. The AAA’s Professor Ralph Beals [from UCLA] report stated that the Pentagon and CIA “repeatedly interfered with anthropological work abroad, and have clearly jeopardized our chances, as anthropologists, to do meaningful foreign research.”

The Beals Report also noted a significant fact which connects to young Ann Dunham Soetoro: “several anthropologists, especially younger ones who had difficulty in securing research funds, were approached by ‘obscure’ foundations or were offered support from such organizations only to discover later that they were expected to provide intelligence information to the CIA.”

The report added, “agents of the CIA have posed as anthropologists, much to the detriment of the anthropological research programs.”

1967 was the very same year that Ann Dunham Soetoro was performing anthropological field work for USAID, who is as we noted a front for the CIA.

Dunham Soetoro’s USAID/CIA cover in Indonesia’s Java continued from 1975 to the end of 1980  through the patronage of various employers, including Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional, the Indonesian National Development Planning Agency, the UN’sInternational Labor Organization, the Ministry of Industry ProvincialDevelopment Program, and the infamous CIA cover  Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI) of Bethesda, Maryland.

DAI has been involved in funneling National Endowment for Democracy (NED) funds on behalf of the CIA to the Venezuelan opposition to President Hugo Chavez and covert funding for Iraqi groups during the U.S. Coalition Provisional Authority regime of U.S. viceroy for Iraq Paul “Jerry” Bremer, a Henry Kissinger understudy.

Like Business International Corporation (BIC), the company that employed Barack Obama after his graduation from Columbia University in 1983, DAI, which employed Obama’s mother from 1978 to 1980, has been a long-time CIA front. Dunham Soetoro worked for DAI during the time period that Barack Obama was attending a favorite CIA recruitment college, Occidental College of Los Angeles.

While Barack Obama was at Columbia and CIA front BIC, his mother was under non-official CIA cover from 1981 to 1984 in Jakarta as the program officer for women and employment for the Ford Foundation’s Southeast Asia regional office, a job that took Dunham Soetoro to other nations in the region, including the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Dunham Soetoro’s cover story was a Ford Foundation micro-financing project.

Fluent Russian speaker, Robert J. Martens was a member of the political section [CIA station] of the U.S. embassy in Jakarta from 1963 and in the years leading up to the Suharto coup. Masters was number three in the embassy’s chain-of-command. In the years during which the Indonesian communists and their sympathizer were tracked down and murdered, Martens would have been within Dunham Soetoro’s USAID CIA cover chain-of-command after she arrived in Jakarta in 1967 for theCIA’s mopping up operations in the Indonesian rural villages. Martens,who previously served in Naples, Vienna, Salzburg, Oberammergau, and Moscow, before being posted to Jakarta, was considered one of the CIA’stop operatives in Jakarta and he helped craft the CIA’s “shooting list.”

Others in Dunham Soetoro’s CIA chain in Jakarta were CIA station chief Bernardo Hugh Tovar, CIA deputy station chief Joseph Lazarsky and Jakarta embassy political section chief Edward Masters. Tovar, a native of Colombia, had been assigned previously to the CIA stations in Kuala Lumpur and Manila.

Masters, who was fluent in Hindi, had been posted in Frankfurt,Karachi, and Madras before being assigned to Jakarta to help plan the CIA coup against Sukarno. Dunham Soetoro was assigned to Java villagesto conduct “anthropological” research since the CIA had identified Indonesian village cadres, including members of the Gerwani women’s organization and SOBSI labor federation, as primary supporters of the PKI and Sukarno.

With his CIA connections, Lolo Soetoro’s dual chain-of-command, in addition to his reporting to Suharto and his top men, would have also included the U.S. embassy’s defense attaché, U.S. Army Colonel Willis G.Ethel. Colonel Ethel worked closely with Indonesian intelligence chief Ali Murtopo.

The CIA officials in Indonesia reported to William Colby, the director of the CIA’s Far East Division. Colby was the brains behind another CIA assassination program, the Phoenix Program in South Vietnam.

From 1989 to 1990, reporter Kathy Kadane conducted a series of interviews with former CIA personnel who were involved in the 1965 coup and the subsequent mass killings of Communists. Martens revealed the role of the CIA “shooting list” for Suharto’s army, in which Lolo Soetoro served, in the systematic assassination of PKI members: “It was really a big help to the army . . . they probably killed a lot of people. and I probably have a lot of blood on my hands, but that’s not all bad. There’s a time when you have to strike hard at a decisive moment.” Asked whether the CIA sent Martens to Indonesia in 1963 to compile kill lists, Colby responded, “Maybe. I don’t know. Maybe we did. I’ve forgotten.”

In order to communicate the names of suspected Communists from outlying villages like those where Dunham Soetoro worked, the CIA provided Indonesian military officers and CIA agents with Collins KWM-2 radios, requisitioned from U.S. Air Force stocks at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines and flown to Jakarta on U.S. Air Force C-130 transport planes. National Security Agency intercept stations in Southeast Asia also picked up the radio transmissions from the Indonesian army field officers and CIA overseers like Dunham Soetoro to ensure that all suspected PKI members were identified for elimination by matching the “field” human intelligence with other NSA information compiled from intercepts of Indonesian commercial and government communications, i.e., signals intelligence or “SIGINT.”

Others at the embassy who directed CIA operations against the PKI included U.S. ambassador Marshall Green and deputy chief of mission Jack Lydman. Green dropped dead from a heart attack on a Washington, DC golf course in 1998. He worked for Nixon national security adviser Kissinger after leaving Indonesia in 1969. Lydman later was involved in the State Department’s review of Indonesian military operations in West New Guinea in 1969, after the Indonesian annexation of the former Dutch territory. Colonel Lolo Soetoro was involved in the bloody Indonesian army crackdown on West Papuan secessionists in the territory.

On March 11, 1966, while Lolo Soetoro continued to assist Suharto inthe identification and rounding up of PKI members for execution, theU.S. embassy in Jakarta sent a airgram A-654 to Washington. The airgram was drafted by Martens and signed by Masters. The airgram stated it was necessary to compile a new list of PKI members because information on PKI officials “remains extremely fragmentary but sufficient additional information has been received to make a new compilation advisable.” The airgram contained a list of 80 PKI leaders and their status.

The Indonesian army’s and CIA’s kill list would not end with the elimination of PKI members and their sympathizers. Kill lists would play out in West Papua, East Timor, and Aceh province during the time ofObama’s “Mommy Dearest’s” bloody work in Indonesia on behalf of her bosses at the CIA, USAID, and Ford Foundation.

The problem for Barack Obama is not shouldering blame for sins of his mother and step-father but the fact that he has lied completely about their history. In his book, “The Audacity of Hope,” Obama writes about his mother’s first trip to Indonesia in 1967: “In later years my mother would insist that had she known what had transpired in the preceding months, we never would have made the trip. But she didn’t know — thefull story of the coup and the purge was slow to appear in American newspapers. Indonesians didn’t talk about it either.” If they were truly Ann Dunham Soetoro’s words, we can be certain of one thing: she trained her son to lie just as well as she did.

Below is a compilation of Barack Obama’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham’s, many variations of her signature.   Like anything else having to do with this fabricated family,  there are just too many inconsistencies in provided information to say any of them are biologically  related to each other or that they even exist.   The felonious crimes of the cabal involved in these crimes are getting too numerous to mention. The apparent forgeries of many documents are being examined by experts in various fields, and the exposure of these fraudulent documents and the crimes of those involved are beginning to reach a fevered pitch.

It is unfathomable to me how so many documents for this family that were completed for the government can raise so many questions,  i.e., social security cards, social security applications, passport applications, petitions, written notes, letters, marriage licenses, birth certificates, school records,  alien documents, and photographs.

Applications are incomplete, blank spaces occur where questions were supposed to be answered, dates referring to specific events are different in various documents, forms are used that were never in use by the government, and form numbers or revisions are erroneous.

Applications contain writing that is noticeably written by different hands on the same page and within the same file of documents.  Handwriting signatures aren’t identical when compared to other examples supposedly written by the same person.  Signatures occurring on the same page for the same day don’t match either.

As you will see below in examples of Ann Dunham’s signatures, the slant of the writing is either to the left, right or straight up and down.  The cursive signature varies in the amount of pressure applied to the paper; it is heavy to extremely light.  When the signature is written it is exactly on the baseline or way above it.  The written letters are either angular or rounded and vary.  Her signature is clear or sloppily written. As her name changes from Dunham to Obama to Soetoro, her first name is written either as Stanley, S., or Ann. Along with her name changes, her cursive handwriting style also changes.  The discrepancies are quite obvious when they are laid out together and seen.

How can these abnormalities be explained away?  The obvious answer is they can’t.  Someone has forged these government documents.  It has been done by those who have conspired to cover-up the usurper and his less than illustrious family. They try, but their deceit has gone too far.  Their forged documents and the information presented are being dissected and examined page by page.

As your eyes can see, Ann’s name as well as her signature varies from document to document.  Which, if any, is the real signature of Stanley Ann Dunham?  In reality, is there a real Ann Dunham that is the mother of Barack Obama or is she a fabrication?  I added the legal term of Doe to indicate another name she may have used but is unknown.

Let’s compare and contrast Ann’s signatures. These are arranged from the earliest dates to the latest. If you have other examples that are missing from this list, please let us know the source and they will be added.

From Wikipedia: The Surgeon General is nominated by the U.S. President and confirmed via majority vote by the Senate. The Surgeon General serves a four-year term of office and is the highest ranking uniformed officer of the PHSCC, holding the grade of a three-star vice admiral while in office.^[1] However, the Surgeon General reports to the United States Assistant Secretary for Health, who himself may hold the rank of a four-star admiral within the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.

The Surgeon General reports to the Assistant Secretary for Health (ASH), who is the principal advisor to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on public health and scientific issues. The Surgeon General is the overall head of the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (PHSCC), a 6,000-member Commissioned Corps of the USPHS, a cadre of health professionals who are on call 24 hours a day, and can be dispatched by the Secretary of HHS or the Assistant Secretary for Health in the event of a public health emergency.

If Obama had gotten his way,and he hadn’t played fast and loose with his taxes, Tom Daschle, the darling of Big Health and Pharma lobbyists would be Secretary of Health and Human Services and the new Surgeon General would be working for him.  Tom Daschle is gone but his promises to health and pharma companies have not been forgotten.  Enter HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Dr. Regina Benjamin to deliver the goods for the corporate campaign contributors.

There is something about the new Surgeon General nominee, Dr. Regina Benjamin, that merits attention: while completing her undergraduate degree in chemistry at Louisiana’s Xavier University she was a CIA undergraduate intern.  Imagine that.  There’s just that one sentence about Dr. Benjamin’s association with the CIA program in the article and nothing further from her about it, but here’s what the CIA recruiters say about their program:  On campus CIA recruiters sponsor the chosen undergraduate with scholarships and paid fees.  In exchange students work on a variety of classified programs during annual breaks.  CIA scholarships anyone?  What did they get in return?

Plenty of others have ugly things to say about the activities of the CIA recruitment on campus here, here, and here.  From the Church Committee Report on the CIA, 1976:

The Central Intelligence Agency is now using several hundred American academics (“academics” includes administrators, faculty members and graduate students engaged in teaching), who in addition to providing leads and, on occasion, making introductions for intelligence purposes, occasionally write books and other material to be used for propaganda purposes abroad. Beyond these, an additional few score are used in an unwitting manner for minor activities.

It’s no surprise that President Obama would choose a CIA associate for another important post in his administration, since faux liberal Obama is the biggest intelligence hawk in the history of the nation. But why Dr. Regina Benjamin?  Why her and why now?  Aside from the up from the disarming poverty and deprivation biography she shares with Obama’s fake one, here’s my answer:  It’s the medical records stupid! What better individual to oversee the electronic upgrade of national medical records and act as conduit and interlocutor between the intelligence community, Big Health, Big Pharma and Jane Q. Public than a country doctor and former CIA recruit.  The biggest heist in world history, the stealing and patenting of the world’s genomic information and resources, will be carried out under the auspices of the intelligence community and the benign appearing people’s doctor.  Perhaps the fact that our medical information will be examined under an unbreakable, warrantless, national security gag order of the Patriot Act will be easier to accept if we see the  friendly face of the  female, African-American, the country doctor next door. Does the support of a nice looking, African-American with a sympathetic biography and a career in community activism and a CIA connection sound familiar?  CIA scholarships anyone?

If you’ve read some of my other posts you know I believe Obama comes from a line of naval intelligence officers, his grandparents Sidney and Madelyn Dunham and his mother Ann Dunham Soetoro.  Not only is Obama comfortable with the intelligence community, he has militarized U.S. intelligence, appointing PACOM chief Admiral Dennis Blair (who attended the Cold War created East-West Institute in Honolulu and studying Russian, as did Ann Soetoro).  He has kept in place DoD Chief and former CIA Chief, Robert Gates, among others, while downgrading the importance of the civilian arm of the CIA, Leon Panetta.  Obama also has plans to extend intelligence and surveillance within the U.S.:

In addition to stepping up efforts in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Mr. Obama wants to tackle some of the tougher intelligence issues that the Bush administration hasn’t resolved. Two former intelligence officials said the Obama team is weighing whether to propose the creation of a domestic intelligence agency (emphasis mine).

Isn’t this unlawful, unconstitutional? Very Troubling.

But the Obama payoff to Big Health and Big Pharma for the gigantic campaign contributions that helped put him in office is the electronic bundling and availability of the nation’s medical histories combined with patient biological tissues and DNA as well as all information that can be triangulated from other cyber sources to reap an intelligence and marketing bonanza heretofore unknown.  The secret plundering of human raw material will have the biggest payoff since the discovery of the New World.

Venezuela.  This is an interesting tale of a Latin American coup that failed. It was a garden variety coup like the failed Indonesian coup of 1958;  certainly not as horrifying as the 1965-1999 massacres and land grabs in Indonesia and East Timor, but definitely instructive in its political architecture.

Moreover, the cast of characters and their methods never really change. Breathtakingly, American political operatives are able to set policies, carry them out and then step back into the comfort and riches of defense contracts and think tanks.

The more things change…

Perhaps the most important thing to know about Venezuela is that it is an oil exporting country, the fifth largest in the world, with the largest reserves of conventional oil (light and heavy crude) in the western hemisphere and the largest reserves of non-conventional oil (extra-heavy crude) in the world.

Thus begins Gregory Wilpert’s 2003 article concerning the politics of Venezuelan oil and the April 2002 coup that briefly ousted President Hugo Chavez.

Venezuela’s oil boom years encompassed 1912-1943. Standard Oil and Shell Oil were the first companies to drill on Venezuelan soil. Things changed in 1943 with Venezuela’s  Hydrocarbons Act which declared that no foreign oil interest could make more profit on Venezuelan oil than the Venezuelan state. Oil revenues increased.   However, as oil production rose, other parts of the economy suffered and the populous became more dependent upon state services provided by oil revenues rather than income taxes.

In the 1950’s large international surpluses of oil (especially in the Middle East) drove  prices to record lows, causing social instability in a nation economically dependent on one resource. So

In 1960, the world’s main oil exporting countries, largely due to the prodding of the Venezuelan government, decided to form the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Also in 1960, Venezuela created the Venezuelan Oil Corporation, which later formed the basis for the nationalization of Venezuela’s oil industry.

Political stability in a petro state necessitated a “pacted democracy” which guaranteed proportional access to state produced wealth by oligarchs of both parties regardless of which was in power.

Sound familiar?

The 1973 embargo of Middle East oil had a huge impact on Venezuela, quadrupling its oil revenues. By 1976 the country moved to fully nationalize its oil industry with the creation of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA). PDVSA outsourced many of its general operations, including accounting and information technology.

The government promised to “sow the oil”, raising all boats in a nation coasting on oil. The article cited above also points out:

Critics of the nationalization process, such as Carlos Mendoza, say that the newly nationalized oil industry was nothing more than a Trojan Horse. Venezuela’s oil industry maintained an anti-statist and transnational corporatist management culture throughout its existence. The ties to the former owners of the nationalized Venezuelan companies were maintained primarily through technical assistance contracts with the former owners and through commercialization contracts, which heavily discounted the price of oil to their former owners.

By the 1990’s the world’s over-supply of oil had, once again, plunged Venezuela into the economic doldrums.

Hugo Chavez was elected by popular referendum in 1998. Almost immediately, Chavez pressured members of OPEC and the non-OPEC producers to hold the line on production quotas. When Chavez moved to replace the PDVSA board with other technical resources, PDVSA joined a work stoppage against the government. More from the article cited above -

Perhaps the most important instance of outsourcing, in terms of the management of PDVSA, is the joint venture it engaged in with the U.S.-based company SAIC (Science Applications International Corporation) to create INTESA (Informática, Negocios, y Tecnología, S.A.) in 1996. INTESA was to manage all of PDVSA’s data processing needs.

A recent investigation into INTESA, and especially into its majority owner SAIC (60%), revealed some information that ought to be quite disturbing to the government of Hugo Chávez. That is, INTESA, which controlled all of PDVSA’s information, is in turn controlled by SAIC, a Fortune 500 company … that is deeply involved in the U.S. defense industry, particularly as it relates to nuclear technology, defense intelligence, and computing technology. Its managers included two former U.S. Secretaries of Defense (William Perry and Melvin Laird) and two former CIA directors (John Deutch and Robert Gates). Its current Board of Directors includes the former commander of the U.S. Special Forces (Wayne Downing), a former coordinator of the National Security Council (Jasper Welch), and the former director of the National Security Agency (Bobby Ray Inman)           (italics mine).

Recall that Robert Gates served in the Reagan and Bush II administrations. He now serves President Barack Obama’s as Defense Department chief.

The government moved from taxing oil industry profits to charging royalties, making oil extraction more expensive. Chavez also re-directed Venezuelan oil supplies to non-U.S. buyers.

Then in 2002 came the attempted coup.

The Venezuelan coup attempt of 2002 was a failed coup d’état on April 11, 2002 that lasted only 47 hours, whereby the head of state President Hugo Chávez was illegally detained, the National Assembly and the Supreme Court dissolved, and the country’s Constitution declared void.

Venezuelan Federation of Chambers of Commerce (Fedecámaras) president Pedro Carmona was installed as interim president. In Caracas, the coup led to a pro-Chávez uprising that the Metropolitan Police attempted to suppress. Key sectors of the military and parts of the anti-Chávez movement refused to back Carmona. The pro-Chávez Presidential Guard eventually retook the Miraflores presidential palace without firing a shot, leading to the collapse of the Carmona government and the re-installation of Chávez as president.

The coup was publicly condemned by Latin American nations (the Rio Group presidents were gathered together in San José, Costa Rica, at the time, and were able to issue a joint communiqué) and international organizations. The United States and Chile quickly acknowledged the de facto pro-US Carmona government, but ended up condemning the coup after it had been defeated.

Matters reached a boiling point in April 2002 with the coup d’etat against Chavez Frias which surprisingly lasted only two days as millions of Venezuelan poor came to his defense. The 48-hour usurper, Carmona, moved almost instantaneously to turn around ChavezFrias’ Bolivarian policies and consolidate what amounts to an “oiligarchy.” Within 48 hours, he dissolved the parliament and the supreme court, dismissed all mayors and governors, stopped the shipment of oil to Cuba, and started a massive wave of repression across the country. According to the British paper The Observer

… one of those giving the nod to the attempted coup was Elliot Abrams, a member of the Reagan team involved in the dirty wars in Central America convicted over actions during the Iran-Contra Affair. He was later pardoned by George Bush, Sr. Another coup advocate was Cuban, Otto Reich, assistant administrator for USAID 1981-1983 and named ambassador to Caracas in 1986.

There it is again, USAID. For those of you who doubted USAID, a benevolent agency of the U.S. government, might be converted to covert uses, enjoy the view.  My previous post noted that Ann Dunham Soetoro was engaged in “microfinance” with USAID in Indonesia in the 1970′s and 1980′s  — during one of the worst human rights atrocities of the century — and perhaps Pakistan in the 1980′s.

Next step:  let’s see what the World Bank, Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation and East-West Center, University of Hawaii, were up to.

The president has said that he wished he had written a biography of  his mother, the late Ann Dunham Soetoro, rather than his father, Barack Obama, Sr.  And he might have done it well since he lived with her for lengthy periods. But perhaps that tome would have been called Nightmares from My Mother, or Bad Dreams from My Mother and Stepfather.  The more I read about the Dunham family the more fictionalized and fabricated they seem; Obama’s mother, in particular, since she is so often trotted out posthumously for photo ops.  Her story, as presented by Obama, is simple:  she was a free spirit who transcended type casting, spent her life doing for others and preserving native Indonesian crafts.  Lolo Soetoro was hardly worth mentioning.O.K., but this is the way it really was:

Indonesia 1965-1968. There was an ongoing massacre of PKI party communists and suspected communists in Jakarta and across Java by the Indonesian Army and anti-communist Muslim student jihadists. There is no doubt that the U.S. had strategic and economic interests in the Indonesia controlled by Sukarno, and those interests had a bloody reprise.

Time magazine described it this way: “Communists, Red sympathizers and their families are being massacred by the thousands…Army units executed thousands after interrogation in remote jails. Armed with wide-blade knives called parangs, Moslem bands crept at night into the homes of Communists, killing entire families, burying the bodies in shallow graves. The murder campaign became so brazen in parts of rural East Java that Moslem bands placed the heads of victims on poles and paraded them through villages….Travelers from these areas tell of small rivers and streams that have been literally clogged with bodies, river transportation has at places been seriously impeded.”
Pretty horrific by any standards, even genocidal ones.
Yet, Ann Dunham Soetoro, according to all of the MSM hype and Obama’s whitewash of an autobiography, was teaching English as an American Embassy employee while her husband, Lolo, an Army Colonel under the monster Suharto was busy working as an oil company geologist cum government liaison. The Dark Side of Paradise, by Geoffrey Robinson, makes clear the implication of complicity in the monstrous events by both the Army and the U.S. Embassy.  I can’t link to p. 284 so I’ll quote: “the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta noted in a cable to the department of State…the U.S. government is generally admiring of what the army is doing”. Approval (for the killings) came from the U.S. Embassy.  Excerpt

Obama’s autobiography says little or nothing about the dread which must have been prevalent among the peasant populous during this period despite the fact that more than a million were imprisoned and used by the big corporations (timber, mining, oil) as slave laborers.  In his autobiography, Obama says virtually nothing about his step-father Colonel Lolo Soetoro, save that he was easygoing, friendly.

According to one fluff article available on the internet Obama returned to Indonesia for Christmas and summer holidays with his mother for many years.  During those years, Obama would have been mature enough to take note of the intense political oppression imposed by Suharto and the dread connected with reprisals directed at any party brave enough to criticize the regime.  The U.S. supported the dictator and Ann Soetoro went from her English teaching job with the embassy to employment with USAID and the (allegedly) CIA connected Ford Foundation in 1965 or this in 1966.

More questions than answers attach to Ann Soetoro during her lengthy stay in Indonesia.  The more one investigates the paucity of information about her activities the more one wonders about the lack of detail.  The blizzard of banal impressions about Ann Soetoro’s personality has buried or replaced the record of her life.  These are some of the nagging questions:

I have not been able to locate Ann Soetoro’s curriculum vitae.  Did she produce any scholarly work other than her long awaited dissertation?

Did Ann Soetoro work in Ghana and Thailand?  If so, during what years and for whom did she work?

What “scholarships” enabled young Obama to attend the prestigious and elite Punau school in Hawaii while his mother was “too poor” to afford it?  Ann Soetoro was also allegedly the recipient of a “scholarship” to continue her M.A. anthropology studies at the Univ. of Hawaii.

Why did she earn an undergraduate degree in math and then switch to anthropology?

Micro-financing of peasant women in East or West Timor seems like a front for something else (CIA?) since the massacres within that province wiped out nearly a third of the population and in many areas the gendercide of males was as high as 80%.  Much of the population of East Timor was relocated to West Timor.  (See my earlier posts on this subject).

To whom was Ann Soetoro teaching English while under U.S. Embassy auspices during the horrifying massacres and imprisonments during 1967-1968 and the decades long slave labor and torture regime?

Why would the Ford Foundation finance anthropological studies into native fabrics and iron working during this time? Or was this Ann Soetoro’s cover for another kind of research in the countryside?

And Obama says nothing about his mother’s residence in Indonesia during the brutal Suharto invasion and occupation of East Timor beginning in 1975.

My developing theory is that the important shaping of Obama’s character is connected to Indonesia, as much as or more than either Hawaii or Chicago.  If his step-father  was a top honcho in the brutal Suharto regime and Lolo had plenty of American military friends from the embassy, how might that have affected the boy?  If his mother’s work was of such great importance that she stayed on in Indonesia while her son returned home, are we to believe cataloging native crafts was this important work?

If Obama returned often to Indonesia to see his mother as he grew older wouldn’t he have been aware of the horrific events in Indonesia during his stays there and mentioned them as critical events in his otherwise superficial life story?

How are we to believe his stories of reacting strongly to racial and color slights when he lived in a land of genocide without being scarred or apparently even particularly moved by that fact?

And ,finally, what should one make of Obama’s appointment of Admiral Dennis Blair as the new Director of National Intelligence while it it is widely alleged that Blair helped win approval for a resumption of military cooperation with Indonesia  in  1999 despite yet another massacre carried out by Indonesian troops at Dili, East Timor?

Geithner’s father, Peter F. Geithner, is the director of the Asia program at the Ford Foundation in New York.  During the early 1980s, Peter Geithner oversaw the Ford Foundation’s microfinance programs in Indonesia being developed by Ann Dunham-Soetoro, mother of President-elect Barack Obama, and they met in person at least once.

Mr. Geithner’s father was head of the philanthropy’s Asia grant making for a period in the early 1980s and oversaw the work of Mr. Obama’s mother, who developed the organization’s microfinance programs in Indonesia.

During the vetting process, it was discovered that Geithner failed to pay his 1099, self-employment, taxes during the years he worked at the International Monetary Fund, making him uniquely qualified to direct Obama’s election-scam that gives billions of dollars in “income tax rebates” to people who never paid any income taxes.

Documents released by the Senate Finance Committee strongly suggest that Geithner knew, or should have known, what he was doing when he did not pay his 1099 taxes in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004.  After his failure to pay was discovered, first by the IRS and later during the vetting process, Geithner paid the federal government a total of $42,702 in taxes and interest.

The Obama transition team argues that Geithner simply slipped up.

He was working a big-time job, paying big-time money at the International Monetary Fund and getting 1099s for 4 years and all he ended up paying was $40 grand?  And, they paid him a tax allowance to help him pay him for tax payments.  This guy evaded paying taxes for years and doesn’t even have to pay any penalty?  It’s nice to have influence — oh, and to be a dhimmicrat.

As Dr. King said in his “Mountain Top” speech, I see God working in this period of the 21^st century in America, and I thank Him for allowing me to witness its citizen’s respond.  It was a privilege to join the millions who knocked on doors in the cold and rain, volunteered our time, donated money and use of our homes, and voted this transcendent phase in American politics and history into life. The significance of President-Elect Barack Obama’s inauguration as the 44^th president in our nation’s great history resides in the sweat, blood, and tears shed by our forefathers so that people of all races, creed, color, and gender could share in the American inheritance.

I imagine Harriet Tubman, no longer troubled by the epilepsy and migraines brought on by the steel weight her master used to fracture her skull, conducting a new railroad; one which carries heroes of the American freedom movement.  In the last car Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglas sit across from each other playing chess, the game as equal as their intellect, still discussing what could have been done differently to save the Union from war while bringing about freedom for all its people.

In another car forward sits Goodman, Chaney, and Schwerner with Medger Evers discussing registering voters in the Mississippi of a more dangerous time.  “All in all”, Medger concludes his argument, “Nothing matches the will of people in the South to overcome.”   Then, winking at Chaney, he starts another debate, “And nothing matches the magnificence of watching the sun kiss the Delta at dusk!” Schwerner says, “The Delta?! Nothing beats the breeze off the Atlantic…..”, before they are startled by a loud scream from the adjacent car.

It is four little girls – Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, Cynthia Wesley, and Addie Mae Collins, dressed in their Sunday best, cackling loudly as they surround a young boy who has taken off with one of their hair ribbons and dangles it playfully over their heads.  “You ca-ca-can’t ge-ge-get it!” he stutters. And as a broad smile crosses his handsome face, he takes off running into the next car.

Hearing the commotion, a little old lady quickly lays down her crochet and stands up, of her own volition, and placing finger to mouth says, “Shhhhh, Emmett! Don’t you see the doctor is resting?”  Turning to her car companion, she says softly, “Martin, we’re almost there.  Aren’t you excited?” Without opening an eye, he awakes from his dream and peacefully replies, “Yes, I am. But remember Mrs. Parks, I’ve already seen the Promised Land.”

In the front car reserved for the most distinguished guests, sitting side by side are two of the least known passengers, Ann Dunham Soetoro and Lorraine Wilson Patterson, my mother. 

While not well known, these two remarkable women, both returning to their maker 53 years removed from their birth, spent their lives preparing their children to forge ahead in the America of Dr. King’s dream.  They are representatives of all our ancestors, native, immigrant, freeman and slave alike, who worked tirelessly to make America, in Dr. King’s words, “what it ought to be.”

“I am so proud of our sons, all of our children”, Lorraine says through tears.  “So am I”, replies Ann softly.  Beginning to cry herself, she continues, “What do you think you’ll miss the most about not being there?”  Lorraine’s mind rushes from witnessing this historic occasion with her beloved husband, her five children, her two grandchildren, including her only granddaughter – who was named posthumously for her – before arriving at an answer.  “You know”, she says smiling so broadly her dimples show, “I never got to hear Aretha sing live.” “Amen, my sister!” The next president’s mother exclaims as they embraced while laughing.  “Amen.”
