In a few weeks, I will have a whole ton of time available to me for coding, so I believe that I will be able to figure out how to start and get a good base for everything started. I’ll start by analyzing the code for the default launcher to see how much of it I want to use, as well as looking at the GestureBuilder tutorial, to help me figure out how to set up all of my gesture concepts.

Hopefully I’ll have an actual progress update soon.

What have your writing credits been to date, and what are you currently working on?

Suzanne Hayes Campbell:

This is my first published fiction of note. I have placed a few poems, and won some very minor contests, but this is the first fiction of any length to be published. However, my job as a book designer has put my work in the hands of tens of thousands of readers*. My design work— *inserts shameless plug: http://www.suecampbellgraphicdesign.com* unless you count pithy captions and compelling flap copy. (Well I count it, even if nobody else does.) The design of books is not only my job, but my passion. Along with writing. (Though it pays better.)

*unsubstantiated estimate—who knows? It’s probably a lot more.

Krista Walsh:

I have one contribution in the Day of Demons anthology, called “The Serpent’s Kiss”, and another in the Bleeding Ink anthology called “The Night Belongs to Me”, both of which came out in 2012. I’m currently editing a fantasy novel called Evensong, which I hope will see the light of day sometime in 2013!

Keri Lake:

I published my first novel in December 2011, titled Somnium (Halos, #1).  In February, I’ll be releasing the first in a new series, Soul Avenged (Sons of Wrath, #1).  I recently completed the second book of the Sons of Wrath series and will be preparing Requiem (Halos, #2) for publication later this year.

K.L. Schwengel:

This is my fiction writing debut, unless you count poetry. Many moons ago I published a handful of poems in various places. I’ve also written articles on my other passion, stockdog training. Currently I’m working on the second book in my fantasy series, the first of which should be coming out this month.

Devin O’Branagan:

My first two novels were published in 1988 and 1990 by Simon & Schuster’s Pocket Books. They were Spirit Warriors and the original edition of Witch Hunt. Both of those novels were subsequently published by Heyne Verlag in German. I then took a long break from writing and returned in 2008 with Red Hot Property, the first of The Red Hot Novels, a comic-mystery trilogy. Since then I’ve published seven novels in a variety of genres including YA urban fantasy, humor, and paranormal thriller. Most have hit Amazon’s Paid Bestsellers Lists and all are doing well. Turkish publisher Dogan Egmont just published Witch Hunt and is now considering Witch Hunt: Of the Blood. Themes of my novels include near-death experience, life from a dog’s perspective, dystopian survival, and, yes, a modern witch hunt. I also write a humor column for TAILS Magazine. On New Year’s Day, my newsfeed nearly exploded with engagement announcements. I’m fairly certain many of my acquaintances were competing as to who could come up with the most obnoxious way to announce the news. Among my favorites:

“He went to Jared!!!”

“I’m going to marry my best friend!!!!”

“I’m going to be Mrs. ______!!!”

Don’t mind me, I just really hate exclamation points. I also think holiday proposals are usually lame – but it could be worse – it could have been a holiday scavenger hunt proposal. Hey, to each his own.

So my initial reaction to these posts is an eye roll (why can’t you just say “we’re engaged!” – with a reasonable number of exclamation points?). When the irritation subsides, happiness sets in. I love love. There should always be more of it. Hooray for the happy couple!

Then suddenly, another thought sets in: DON’T TAKE OUR DATE

We don’t have a venue booked and we’re more than a year and a half out from our desired date – we can’t exactly send out save-the-dates. How do we “call” late September 2014? The people who matter most to us already know of this tentative date – but with so many engagements already, and surely more to come, is there a way to let people know that we’re serious about September? I have a few friends who have announced their dates on Facebook when they book the venue. Which means.. we should probably pick a venue soon, before Mrs. _____ and her best friend book it first.

Gravity is planning to release Ragnarok Online II in North America and the Philippines in the first half of 2013 after its launch in Singapore and Malaysia in December 2012.

Note 4: No further explanation was given to all the CBT and OBT players. This was Google-ed.

Everyone from every nook and cranny of the world took their time, energy and whatever else they’ve done to download a huge sized exe file…
Gone through the frustration of unable to install, patch and logon efficiently.
They gave their all during the stress test!
What were they supposed to be?
Uninformed test lab subjects?
They got excited and kept forgiving Asiasoft for their blunders.
What did they get in return?

Whoshhh… that’s what I call an epic fail announcement.

We’ve got peeps from Brunei and Indonesia in our guild.
That really isn’t fair.
Plus, it’s not stated that they’d get their own servers (other than Philippines).

There will be lesser competition, leading to boredom later on.
It’s not as if the new RO2 is an epic game to start with.
How much profit can you get from these 4 countries compared to adding the others in?

Note 5: Why did they get a new server if they plan to only allow a handful of an already small population? On top of playing with the feelings of most, if not all the players.

As if that wasn’t enough, they placed more salt onto the wound.

Found this totally powerful card in my friend’s car more than a year ago. These words remain as a powerful reminder whenever I felt like procrastinating.

I used to be a chronic procrastinator, until I read this book called The Power of Now.

Combined with these words, it became a very powerful. My new year resolutions had always remained as it is – new year resolutions – but after reading this book, things are not the same anymore.

Besides, I have the most supportive partner that always keep me going and smiling. People around us are as important in giving us the encouragement to keep going and soar. The birth of this blog is the living proof of it.

As we usher the new year, we would like to proudly announce the launching of our new blog. Do keep in touch with us by dropping in comments and keep following our posts to keep us going.

All the reminders, the books I read and the people I have around me served only as a reminder. Most importantly, is to actually lift our butts and start taking action. I am just writing a few lines to let you know that I am home after spending 15 days at Palmetto Baptist Hospital.  I still have a long ways to go but I am looking up.

I want to say thank you to my Pastor, Bishop Jeffery Johnson for taking the time today to come and pick me up from the hospital and patiently drive me to all of my errands, before taking me home to my apartment and making sure that I had everything that I needed.  Bishop Johnson has shown himself to be more than a Pastor—He is my brother.

• If you did read it, and liked it, consider leaving a review. The more reviews the better and it’s always nice to hear that people have enjoyed reading the book. That’s not just for me, that’s for any writer you read, but especially indie’s.

• Anyone who picked up an early copy, there is a little formatting issue on about 5 pages near the end (the font changed). I have no idea why it happened, or where it came from, but it should be fixed now.

• A paperback version is coming, I promise. I’m trying to get the price down from being about £16 ($25) as I think that’s too much. So with a little formatting, I think I should manage something. It should be out before the new year.

• No, Born of Hatred is not the last book. Not by a long way. But I have no idea when book 3, With Silent Screams, will be out. It’s not even written yet. I do however have a kickass idea for the cover.

• I’ll be writing a few short stories between now and the release of book 3. They’ll be put on this blog when they’re done. But it won’t be for a little while yet.

The other day, I got in touch with The Blake Society (www.blakesociety.org) hoping to bring their attention to The Poet and the Flea and to ask them about next year’s Blake Society Tithe Grant.

To my surprise and delight, The Blake Society had already heard of my graphic novel and had made an announcement on their December newsletter as well as their Facebook page.

I think it’s really wonderful that The Blake Society seems to keep tabs on as many Blake-related projects as possible. They have a great website with many resources, including a full biography of William Blake and links to other useful sites.

If only I were in London, I would have joined this society long ago. But San Francisco is so far away and I’m unaware of any local societies here (although according to The Blake Society, there was a William Blake society in Palo Alto around 1940 ).

The new portal has been created using latest technology to enhance swift interaction between the deductor, deductee, income-tax department and CPC. The following features are/ will be  available to deductors and deductees

• Dashboard giving summary of Deductors account
• Online registration of TAN
• Online filing of TDS Statements
• Online corrections of TDS  statements
• Default Resolution
• View Form 26AS
• Download Form 16/16A/Consolidated TDS File
• Grievance registration and resolution

Not all of the above features have been activated so far

NSDL web site V/s TRACES web Site : Current Status

Currently several online services are provided to deductors and deductees on TIN  site by NSDL.  The following table presents various services at both the sites

Registration at TRACES

• Users who have already registered at NSDL TIN site, need not register again on TRACES. Their registration details are migrated and they can login at TRACES with their NSDL-TIN login details
• Fresh registrations on NSDL site have been stopped
• New registrations can be done at TRACES site and online help is available under the FAQ link

It appears; gradually TRACES will become the only site for deductors and deductees. As more features appear and existing features understood, we will keep sharing the information with you
