I’m pretty excited for tonight’s episode of C2C. My favourite host (next to Art), George Knapp, will be interviewing the illusive Bob Lazar and Gene Huff for an extravaganza on the 20th anniversary of the program UFOs: The Best Evidence which first told the story of flying saucers in the Nevada desert.

George has tried to get Lazar on more times than I can remember, but something always seems to go awry. Absolutely tune in tonight, who knows when Lazar will t ake to the air waves again and surely it’ll be an interesting night.

The heart of the Emdrive is a resonant, tapered cavity filled with microwaves. According to Shawyer, a relativistic effect generates a net thrust, an effect confirmed by various Emdrives he has built as demonstrations. Critics say that any thrust from the drive must come from another source. Shawyer is adamant that the measured thrust is not caused by other factors.

The idea is a craft capable of making the 10,000-mile run from London to Sydney, Australia in under three hours … or taking a 40-ton payload on the moon in about four days. It will be capable of vertical takeoff and hovering silently in place. If successful, it will be adapted as a personal transport -– your very own flying car.

Wow, this is really something! It figures that western science wouldn’t give this guy the time of day until he decided to take his idea to the Chinese. I bet GE and Boeing, among others are really kicking themselves in the ass for not snatching this guy, and his ideas, up before he went public with them. Good for him though, the world needs more people like that, who are clearly in it for more than just the money, which is sure to follow soon anyway if he’s correct.

The only part about his invention that troubles me is the power requirement. Where are you going to pull 6KW from, likely more, since that’s only for the demo. That’s the kind of juice you get from a massive gas generator and that’s just to get up in the air. I guess if he can figure out an EM drive, this will be cake though.

Where science meets fiction? I’m not exactly sure what all this means but I do know that I want to know more! At any rate, I’m going to have to defer to the Smarty Pants Tripsters for the scientific probability of this concept. I only know that I think it’s cool.  Imagine!

Okay, so it’s been a long time since I’ve updated, but there’s a good reason. You see, I’m in full-time university and working. Plus, you can’t be too mad. The name of my blog is “expect neglect”. You had to expect I’d pay little attention to updating this at some point.

Keith Morgan has been an Electronics Technician with ABC News in Washington DC since 1982. He has a BA in Communications from Howard University with a minor in Computer Science. Keith has had his own UFO sightings that started in High School. And he has also made predictions based on Nostradamus’ quatrains that have come to pass. One being the World Trade Centers coming down, which he made in 1993 and then repeated 3 weeks before the event took place.
Keith shared theories about UFOs, Mars and alternative energy, as well as his experiences of media cover-ups of these topics. “There are real artifacts sitting on the surface of Mars,” as proven out by the mathematics he said of the Cydonia region, known for its “Face on Mars.” He believes these monuments were left by the Annunaki, as spelled out by Sitchin in The Lost Book of Enki. They were using Mars as a way station to transport the gold they had mined on Earth, he noted.
Among the energy technologies Morgan mentioned was the Reed Magnetic Motor, a 7 ft. tall wooden device with fly wheels that creates enough power to run household appliances. Typically, the network won’t run stories on these types of experimental devices, he said, though Nightline did once do a show on the Patterson Power Cell. He explained that the subjects of UFOs and free energy are linked in that they both point towards a new kind of physics, that might for instance, foster anti-gravity devices.
Morgan also discussed his ability to make predictions based on Nostradamus’ quatrains, and suggested that between now and 2012 we are going to begin having more open interactions with ETs. The originator of theories about hyperdimensional physics which Morgan finds valid, Richard C. Hoagland joined him for the first hour of the conversation, and the two, who have been friends for many years, shared reminiscences about Mars and the media.

The researchers first levitated a young mouse, just three-week-old and weighing 10 grams. It appeared agitated and disoriented, seemingly trying to hold on to something.

“It actually kicked around and started to spin, and without friction, it could spin faster and faster, and we think that made it even more disoriented,” said researcher Yuanming Liu, a physicist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. They decided to mildly sedate the next mouse they levitated, which seemed content with floating.

A plastic cage was also designed by physicist Da-Ming Zhu at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, to keep the mice in during levitation. Its top remained open to let in air, food, water and video surveillance, and its bottom was filled with small holes to allow waste removal.

From time to time, mice would kick the walls of the cage, causing it to briefly drop off from the levitation zone before re-entering it and floating again.

Okay, I’m amused.  And fascinated. And a wee bit sorry for the mousies. Stoned, floating and mousy is no way to go through life son.

If you are wondering why this painting had such a weird/ random title, let me explain. This painting was done as a NAFA assignment, where we were given a piece of paper with about 200 hundred numbered words on them. We were then asked to pick 3 random numbers before looking at which words each number referred to. [I forgot which 3 numbers I picked sorry...] Yea and I got Calligraphy, Diary and Anti-Gravity. When I first saw ‘Calligraphy’, I had a hard time deciding between Chinese Calligraphy or english words, but eventually, I settled on english alphabets as it is a newer subject matter as compared to Chinese Calligraphy [which I had been exposed to for the last 8 years of my life]. In addition, I had to decided what anti-gravity objects I want to use in the painting, since i had the choice of choosing between the diary or the words.

Basically, this work does not have much meaning. :/ It just depicts an opened diary with ‘flying’ words. Flying, because of the word anti-gravity. Honestly, I think its a rather boring artwork because firstly, the subject matter is not interesting. Secondly, there is no meaning to the work. However, I did enjoy myself when I painted the words because it was kind of fun…? and new. Painting in the shadows also made the words seem livelier [did i spell it correctly?] and the distance between the shadow and the words determines how high the words are ‘flying’.  

One difficulty I faced while painting this artwork was when I was trying to paint in the pages of the diary. I did not know if I was supposed to paint in many lines to signify the thick diary, so initially, I tried to use the smallest brush I had (size 2) to draw in the lines with black acrylic paint. However, the lines were of uneven thickness and the paint kept drying up while I drew the lines. In the end, I decided to just use the dry-brush method, which was a lot easier but the effect was not that good.

Watchmen: All anyone remembers is that glowing blue guy’s penis. I liked Rorschach. Everyone does.

Wanted: Finally saw it. Too much slow motion. The White guy who almost got eaten by Idi Amin is in it. Angelina Jolie is hot but has ugly hands. Bullets curve around things. Morgan Freeman is Black. The looms were the most interesting things.

Date Movie: Alyson Hannigan, aka Flutepussy, is cute in one scene and ugly the next. A Black Midget. Crunk scene was the only real laugh.

Animated Wonder Woman movie: Tits or GTFO. Peppy. Amazon MILFS. Nothing to jack off to.

The moonwalk, invented by Michael Jackson (1958-2009), is familiar to most people, but   there’s  another  extraordinary move that he performed in “Smooth Criminal.”  He and his troupe of dancers leaned forward at an angle of 45 degrees, defying gravity.  Michael Jackson has U.S.  patent 5,255,452 on the “Methods and Means for Creating Anti-Gravity Illusion.”  Specially designed shoes have a slot in the heels that can slip in and out of pegs that protrude from the floor.  When anchored to the floor, the wearer can lean forward seemingly beyond the center of gravity.

Les Paul (1915-2009) was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2005.  His innovations led to the first solid-body electric guitar.  He pioneered recording techniques, such as overdubbing; built his own multi-track tape recorders; and inspired other musicians to adopt his guitar and recording techniques. One of his patents is 3,018,860 titled “Electrical Musical Instrument.“  It is the patent for his solid-body electric guitar.  He was a successful performer and recording artist.  The Gibson Les Paul guitar was mass produced.

A TRIP TO AREA 51

Everyone knows about Area 51 right? Of course. It’s no secret! Tons of video games, Hollywood films, books have told of the weird Alien tales behind it….then theirs the actual place itself. How many people have been there or thought of going there? Or actually believe in the ‘myths’ behind the name and place?

When the chance came to go and see what its all about, there was no reason not to jump at it. Did a few days of research that at times had me thinking either A: Its too risky, after all its a high security U.S. Government experimental airbase that revels in being super secret ( hell its still classified!). B: Nothings out there except test jets flying around and who cares about the next advancement in flying killing machines of any sort.

There’s really not much out on Area 51 sightings that I could find in my research on the web. It’s so seemingly slight and quiet that it made me feel like there’s nothing going on out there. Maybe theirs a reason behind that? Funk that, lets go out there anyway.

Arriving at the Area 51 location through the Extraterrestrial Highway an hour from Las Vegas, we were treated to some breathtaking turns around some small canyons into the Tikaboo Valley, which holds the long 15 mile road to Groom Lake (home of Area 51), the infamous ‘Black Mailbox”, (for years thought to be the mailbox for Area 51 by UFO aficionados but now known to belong to the valleys only rancher ) and the road to Rachel, the tiny populated town (under a 100 people) where one can visit the Little A ‘Le Inn, a restaurant/bar/ trailer park that caters to the area’s freak charm. Chomp on a Alien Burger, chase it down with some Alien tequila (guaranteed to make you feel abducted. ha!) while buying a Area 51 related t-shirt, zine, or postcard. Does this cheapen the effect of the visit? Hell no! Just brings out a bit of interesting humor in the whole situation.

Now, for the campsite. A list of choices can be found on the website of Rachel, NV. What’s known as ‘Hidden Campsite’ was our camp of choice. Located between the road to Area 51 and the ‘Black Mailbox’, on the edge of the L.N. county mile marker 32. Drove down a rocky road to a half buried giant rusty canister where we parked and pitched a tent under a modest hill. There’s probably other places to go in the same area yet this was perfect. Climbed the hill and most of Tikaboo Valley was in sight.

Prepared for a long night of unknown terrain, weather and who knows what else (wild animals, possible creepy locals, visits from the Area 51 security, mutant vampire mountain creatures that might attack us?! (sorry too many X-Files episodes and Art Bell radio shows on the brain) We sat on the edge of our tent watching the sun fall down. No one else was around, no other campers in sight, a few cars every once in awhile would speed down the E.T. Highway but that was about it. Though the feeling of being watched was indeed there…

The sun finally slipped completely away, leaving a few pockets of leftover sunlight in the sky, which on this night was more then a bit cloudy and had me worried it would be a uneventful night of watching or even a good view of the night stars. Though the sky above Area 51 was oddly void of clouds. With the eyes focused on this spot…

Time: Around 8:45 P.M.

A orange tinted flying vessel rose from the mountains which hides Area 51.

“Got one!”, I said to my friend, pointed at it, and rose up.

“I see it.” she replied and also got up from the tent.

I thought to myself in this moment that it was one of the jets that brings and departs workers daily to the area, which I had learned from my research to expect and it was heading towards the Las Vegas area. But then what happened next is where the unexplainable happens.

The vessel suddenly turned and sparks of strange light began popping up everywhere around it, like multi-colored lightning bugs hopping to and fro with teleporting-like effect. The vessel and the odd bursts of light intertwined into a dizzying visual mess. It was as though all the reality of this certain spot in the skyline (which spread for miles) lost any coherency yet remained completely fascinating and unlike anything yr humble narrator has seen before. The sky had come alive with a force of unknown visual caliber that could be described as watching a psychedelic rave on another planet through a telescope.

With the human eyeballs stretching in great focus (think the 20 mile distance from campsite to Area 51) and the senses heightened by what was going on, my whole nervous and thought system began struggling to make sense of what was being seen. It ended up lasting about 5 minutes, during which at one point I looked at another part of the sky to see if the eyes were working correctly or was I fed something funny at the Little A ‘Le Inn to cause this to happen? Everything was normal in the other part of the skies and I looked back watching the event slowly begin to fizzle out.

This area of the sky returned almost normal. Of course keeping eyes on this place was important in case it started again or something else happened. It remained visually still for about ten minutes till two bursts of white light occurred near the edge of the clouds and then it was done. All that was left was memory loops and question marks etched in the brain.

The rest of the night was rather uneventful between times of falling asleep and waking up except a fast blinking jet that went over us around 3 a.m. in the starry sky unaffected by city lights. The night, the distance between the camp and Area 51 and the little net camera used wouldn’t have picked up anything useful sadly.

So what was seen?

I’m going to play my own best devils advocate here and say it might have been flares. That they were using flares to hide some new experimental aircraft that they are working on. Except one thing… Did they get these flares from Hogwarts Academy of Sky Magic? Flares that can bend the surrounding airspace into a huge disorienting display for ones sense of sight? Or maybe the U.S. Army has figured a way to displace the airspace activity in another way….??? My friend who witnessed this with me lived her entire life around Edwards Air Force Base in South California and has seen many varying jet maneuvers over her home including giant flares being shot from them and the ground and says this was nothing similar to anything she had ever seen. Not even close.

My hypothesis:

The vessel heading upwards and what happened afterwards was the result of a Time and Space Reality Distortion created by a ‘Hyper Dimensional Propulsion System’ in the vessels engine. Does that make sense?

Or was it all just the casual fun of anti-gravity ships at play from a distance?

Maybe some kind of a Tesla experiment, what with the sky turning into a strange electrical dizzy of the unseen and all?

One can only wonder.

PS – If you are reading this from the U.S. Government and have concern please let it be known that I am only a curious humanoid with no ill intent towards what yr doing at Area 51 and am only sharing my experience in what I saw to a handful who might be interested. Honestly, I think its nice for you to let us come close enough to glimpse yr secret sky parties. Great light show by the way!

So, tonight’s is more on location than others have been.  I decided to try for a bit more of a full picture.  And, having decided that, I wanted something a bit more dynamic; some good motion.

I thought of Spider-Man because, of course, he’s always great for motion.  But Vulture occurred, since he’s an airborne, fast-moving villain.  I had some fun drawing this.

Delivering supplies to different areas of a ship can be a chore… so why not use this handy anti-grave pallet featured in The Motion Picture.

This was pretty easy but I had put off building it for some time.  Decided I had good reason to throw one together now.  I actually like the texture of the anti-grav lifter but I have had a bit of trouble reducing the size of the bump pattern on the surface.  Reducing the scale in the bump map channel doesn’t seem to affect it at all, so I am a bit perplexed.  It is just a preset metal texture that I used from lightwave, but it reminds me of some of the metallic textures from set designs we’ve seen in other Trek producti0ns and sci-fi endeavors.

Here is one in context, but it was before I increased its color brightness, so it looks quite dark and unreflective in this shot.  Never finished any labels on those “boxes” sitting on it either, but I built them quite a while ago as part of some engineering props and greebles project.  I might get to some neat kind of label soon.

I just got back from Lisbon, where I spent four days with my language teacher Ana Paula who submitted me to a “linguistic immersion” – Portuguese only ..! She can be a pretty cruel person.
(But it seems that this is the way to go if one wants to learn a foreign language. And I have been cruel to her too, in the not so distant past ..truth be told.)

Lisbon is fabulous on a hot and bright summer day…

looks like advertising for something, but not clear for what

…especially when the city is full of smart-looking sailors from India, who were visiting.  The seafood is amazing and very cheap, the beer is always really cold and the churches are large and impressive. The coast is only 20 minutes away and the Atlantic Ocean is wild and very stormy – swimming is not really recommended.

The service industry is a disaster.
The most famous coffee house in town served orange juice with live larvae swimming in it, and no one saw the need to be embarrassed or offer apologies. They did, however, smile and offer to make another one. We declined.

After exploring Lisbon, we drove out to Sintra which was an Arab stronghold in the 8th century. The “Castelo” is built on the top of a mountain and it integrates Stonehenge-like boulders into its structure:  Allah alone knows how these monster stones were cut to precision, moved into the most unlikely positions and how they refused to fall down in 1200 years.

The national portuguese music style, Fado, is deep and romantic and among the most melancholic music styles I have ever heard.
The background is Portugal as a major nation of navigators – and a shared experience of generations of women longing for their men and husbands out at sea.
Including all those men lost to the sea, who would never came back.
