Saiba como se proteger da praga que entra em atividade amanhã

Apesar da data, no dia 1ª de abril será atividada uma das maiores pragas da internet: o malware Conficker. Apesar do alarde, não há motivo para pânico: é só tomar as medidas preventivas para evitar o malware.

Atualizando o Windows

O Conficker se utiliza de uma falha do Windows para se instalar na máquina do usuário. A Microsoft liberou uma atualização para o Windows cobrindo esse rombo na programação. Clique aqui e baixe.

É importante frisar que é altamente recomendável, quase obrigatório, manter as atualizações automáticas do Windows ativadas.

Como sei se estou infectado?

Alguns utilitários foram desenvolvidos pelas principais empresas de softwares para procurar e acabar com o Conficker. O mais recomendado é o utilitário da Symantec. Clique aqui e faça do download.

Se a minha máquina estiver infectada, o que eu faço?

Pare, deite e role. Não entre em pânico. A primeira coisa a se fazer é procurar um bom anti-vírus. Se você já tem um, atualize-o. Os anti-vírus mais populares, como o Avast! e o AVG já possuem atualizações para combater o Conficker e estão sendo atualizados diariamente.

Se você não tem um anti-vírus, é importante que faça o download de um imediatamente. As opções gratuitas mais recomendadas são o Avast!, AVG e Kaspersky.

Me livrei do vírus. Posso relaxar e gozar?

Sim, mas não muito. O Conficker está se espalhando muito rápido. Além de ter um anti-vírus e mantê-lo atualizado, você precisa tomar outros cuidados, não só para se manter livre do Conficker, mas também de outras pragas. O primeiro é ter um bom anti-spyware e um bom firewall.

O anti-spy que nós usamos e recomendamos é o Spyware Terminator. Gratuito e em portugês. Um ótimo firewall é o Comodo Firewall, que, apesar de ser em inglês, é muito simples de ser usado.

Um outro cuidado para evitar os vírus é a cautela. Jamais clique em anuncios como “perca 300kg dormindo”, ou “trabalhe coçando o saco”, ou “clique aqui e ganhe 300 mil emoticons para MSN”. O mesmo é válido é para os e-mails. Se você não assina as atualizações de um portal de notícias, jamais irá receber notícias dele. Por isso, mensagens como “Morre Silvio Santos” e “Veja a morte de Saddam Hussein” são verdadeiros ‘pega-otários’.
