PC Media Antivirus terbaru, PCMAV 1.9 telah hadir bersamaan dengan Majalah PC Media 12/2008 yang saya beli kemarin. Menurut file README.txt yang disertakan, hal-hal yang baru pada versi terbaru ini adalah:

* Ditambahkan, database pengenal dan pembersih 95 virus lokal/asing/varian baru yang dilaporkan menyebar di Indonesia. Total 2254 virus beserta variannya yang banyak beredar di Indonesia telah dikenal di versi 1.9 ini oleh engine internal PCMAV.
* Ditambahkan, cleaner khusus untuk virus Bungas.vbs.
* Diperbaiki, kesalahan deteksi (false alarm) heuristik pada beberapa program dan script.
* Diperbarui, perubahan beberapa nama virus mengikuti varian baru yang ditemukan.
* Perbaikan beberapa minor bug dan improvisasi kode internal untuk memastikan bahwa PCMAV Cleaner & PCMAV RealTime Protector lebih dari sekadar antivirus biasa.

Memadukan PCMAV dengan database virus ClamAV

Agar PCMAV 1.9 Final Release yang Anda download dapat mengenali lebih banyak virus atau malware lainnya, Anda dapat memadukannya dengan ClamAV. Panduan untuk melakukannya dapat Anda lihat pada file readme.txt yang disertakan. Untuk mengintegrasikan PCMAV dengan ClamAV menggunakan libaray ClamAV versi 0.93, Anda dapat melakukannya hal yang sama seperti yang telah saya coba, yang dapat Anda baca pada halaman ini.

Parameter yang dapat digunakan pada PCMAV 1.9

* /REGSHELL
Untuk menampilkan pilihan “Scan with PCMAV” pada saat klik kanan file yang akan di-scan.
* /UNREGSHELL
Untuk menghapus pilihan “Scan with PCMAV”.
* /FORCE
Mengizinkan PCMAV untuk memaksa membersihkan file yang terinfeksi.
* /REGCLEAN
Mencoba mengembalikan registry dan setting “Tools Folder Options” ke kondisi default.
* /NOMEM
Tidak perlu scan memory.
* /NOSTARTUP
Tidak perlu melakukan scan pada saat startup PCMAV.
