Os autores são professores doutores da UFRJ (Paulo Afonso Rheingantz, Giselle Arteiro Azevedo, Alice Brasileiro, Denise de Alcantara, Mônica Queiroz), pesquisadores do grupo ProLUGAR, que vem desenvolvendo pesquisa na área de APO há décadas.

O livro é uma compilação das experiências de pesquisa do grupo e apresenta métodos e instrumentos de APO detalhadamente, com diversas exemplificações. Extremamente útil para a pesquisa na área da arquitetura e urbanismo, vale à pena conferir!

finanziell am Ende war und die Frage,

was man alles heute von der DDR noch gerne hätte,

immer an der Frage scheitert: Wie kannste das bezahlen?

Auf Seite 1 der FAZ: Fest der Freiheit und der Einheit:

Die Welt schaut auf Berlin. Das heißt es BILD Berlin

Brandenburg sagt: Der Schauer an der Mauer.

Man hat die Brücke an der Bornholmer Straße

abgesperrt und die Berliner durch die Polizei

aussperren lassen.

Das halte ich für ein Piratenthema für Berlin.

Als öffentliche Tugend in Form einer Erinnerungsfeier

man die Menschen zulassen.

dem Titel – ist schon deshalb bedeutend, weil

Schiller Goethe gekannt hatte. Wenngleich seine Idee:

das war wohl nichts, denn Schiller starb schon

im Alter von Mitte vierzig. Schillers Idealismus

ist rückständig, aber seine ansatzweise bereits

psychologische Dimension in der Geschichtsprosa,

zum Beispiel über den 30-jährigen Krieg, ist hervorragend.

Bildungsstand identifizieren, finde ich sehr

problematisch, sehen Sie Modells, Rapper und

Fußballspieler, die gehören nicht nur zur ökonomischen

Elite, auch zur medialen Elite, dabei sind sie nicht

besonders gebildet. Es käme auf die Definition an –

dietmarmoews meint aber, an kommt es doch

darauf, ob jemand etwas kann, das gefragt ist.

Ob Frau Merkel sagt, die Wirtschaft ist gut,

aber die Finanzen hauen nicht in – wenngleich

doch beides zusammengehört. Und dann

heißt es in der SZ: Die Deutschen zweifeln

Die Regierungserklärung von Dr. Merkel:

Möchte Wachstumspolitik, Arbeitsmarktpolitik,

REGIERUNGSERKLÄRUNG: Bundeskanzlerin

Dr. Merkel hat schnell, entschlossen, neu, besser,

höher, schneller, weiter, trallala, die Pest ist da,

Kreditklemme, dann sollen die Banken mehr

Kredite ausreichen – ja, was soll das, wenn keine

Bonität und keine Geschäftsideen da sind.

Was soll, wenn ¾ aller Deutschen, laut Emnid,

für das Schulden machen sind, ist diese

Regierungsaussage großer Unfug.

Steinmeier für die SPD erwiderte: Dass sei ja der

schlechteste Neustart einer Regierung und

Klientelpolitik. Trittin und die Grünen hat gesagt:

Ein Fehlstart. Die Linkspartei hat verlangt: Eine

Regierungserklärung muss die Probleme benennen

und Lösungsvorstellungen der Regierung

bekanntgeben. Lafontaine hat selbst keinerlei

Lösungen angeboten.

Grundsätzlich zur Politik erwarte ich von der

Piratenpartei, dass sie entweder einer Seite –

der Regierung oder Opposition – zustimmen

oder dagegen sind, oder, ich erwarte, dass die

Piraten eine eigene Position als APO danebenstellen.

Keine Position ist doch wirklich nur eine Notlösung,

die ich als selbsternannter politischer Basisgeschäftsführer unakzeptabel finde. Ein Vollprogramm wäre für

Politik einer Apo auf Sicht gar nicht hilfreich.

As most of you are probably aware, the world record for white-tailed deer could be coming back to our great state of Wisconsin.  The 12- point buck was shot by Michael Gregoire on a farm his brother owns in Sheboygan Falls on November 5.  An official Boone & Crockett scorer, green scored the 4.5 year old buck at a whopping 217 5/8 inches.

However, a week later, the Boone & Crockett club posted a statement on their website stating that the Gregoire buck, although a great trophy, will most likely be classified as a non-typical buck due to an unmatched point on the left and a point off from the normal G2 on the right.

Regardless of the outcome there’s no arguing that any hunter would love to even have the opportunity to see such a beautiful animal and have an opportunity to harvest a wonderful trophy.  Wayne Schumacher got his opportunity and took full advantage of it.  On September 20, Wayne shot a non-typical 30 pointer with his bow just 9 days into the bow season.  The buck was harvested in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin.

These deer just prove that trophy bucks still love the badger state as much as any state in the Midwest.  North, south, east, west; we’ve got them all over if you’re willing to put in the time.

As many of you know the Wisconsin DNR has been holding public meetings all over the state over the last few weeks to address starting the traditional gun season a week earlier, but still ending the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  Thus, the season would be extended from 9 days to 16 days.  

We recently attended a couple of these meetings in Madison & Ashland on Oct. 21 to get some insight on the matter.  A short presentation was given by the DNR explaining how the plan would work.  One of the big points that came from the presentation was that a number of the special hunts that take place throughout the bow season (i.e. early gun, muzzle loader and youth season) would be held over the same days.  The other key point was that the longer gun season was not created by the DNR.  The Natural Resources Board (NRB) appointed a Special Committee to explore and recommend effective hunter alternatives to the earn-a-buck (EAB) and this was the plan the committee selected.  The DNR is simply collecting public input to aid in making a decision on the proposal.  The only parts of the proposal to come from the DNR are a bonus buck incentive and the Kettle Moraine State Forest (KMSF) Teacher Convention hunt dates. 

The majority of the meeting was spent with the public giving their testimony on record.  During this time not a single person in the audience was in favor of moving the opener a week ahead and most stated they didn’t want the gun season longer than it is.  Now we should point out that a majority of those who spoke were bow hunters.  However, there were also turkey hunters, gun hunters and even some non-hunters who spoke and who were all in favor of leaving the gun season as is.  We saw a lot of people who are very passionate about hunting and/or just being outdoors.  The bow hunters don’t want to have another week of their season disturbed especially so close to the rut.  They were happy to hear the idea of combing the special hunts though.  The gun hunters want to keep the traditional opener as it coincides with the week of Thanksgiving and this allows them to take less time off from work.  It’s also a tradition that they don’t want changed.  The non-hunters don’t want to have another week of not being able to go outside and enjoy other aspects of the outdoors for fear of bullets flying around them.  Most of the people who gave testimony also agreed on two other items. First, the state deer population is way down and the DNR needs to get a better grasp of it.  (This links below are articles relating to the DNR’s herd population predictions and the public meeting held in Madison.)

Second, most people, although against EAB, would prefer it over the proposal. 

Once the meetings had concluded and assuming the other meetings around the state went relatively the same way, it would come as a surprise if the DNR recommends following through with this proposal based on all of the negative feedback.  Some major changes would have to take place within the proposal it would seem. 

However, regardless of the topic or issue at hand (in this case hunting), keep in mind that when public meetings take place, there are generally 3 groups of people present.  The people in group 1 are those presenting the information to the public.  Group 2 are those people in the audience who are completely opposed to the issue at hand.  Group 3 are those who come to the meeting to feed their curiosity and get some insight on the issue.  You rarely get people who come to speak in favor of the issue.  If any do show up they’re usually far outnumbered by group 2. 

Speaking at the meeting wasn’t the only way to voice your opinion on the matter.  The DNR is also conducted surveys and had a page on their website where the public could send their comments (until Nov. 3) to be included as testimony.  There will be another chance for the public to give their input at the December NRB meeting where adoption of any proposed changes will be considered.  If the NRB does adopt any changes, the legislative committees will review them early next year. These changes would then start during the 2010 hunting season and run for 2 years.  After the 2011 season the DNR would evaluate the program to determine what affect the changes had. 

No matter the outcome of what happens, you’ll never make everybody happy.  However, we all need to do our best to help continue to improve the hunting experience for each other and future generations to come, and remember…there’s always time to be outdoors!

In case you didn’t already know, my name is Derek Potter.  My love for the outdoors started as soon as I could hold a fishing pole, thanks to my father.  Fishing is where it all started for me.  Whether it was taking week long fishing trips to Minnesota or just fishing from my grandparents’ dock in Wautoma, I’ve loved fishing no matter where or what I’m fishing for.  Over the years I’ve been able to fish trout and kokanee in Colorado, halibut in Alaska, and all the typical pan and game fish the Midwest has to offer in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and Canada.  And each time was an experience to remember.

Hunting came later and my passion for it didn’t really start until mid-way through college.  I started out hunting squirrels with my dad and grandpa at age 12.  I also tried deer hunting, but trying to juggle school, basketball and hunting proved to be tough.  We also didn’t have any private land to hunt which can make it difficult.  Meeting Pete at college and allowing me to hunt with him in northern Wisconsin is really what lit my fire to be in the woods.  That fire only gets bigger as the years go by and we continue to expand our hunting capabilities and experiences.

I bagged this buck during the 2006 opening day gun season.

Le parole che seguiranno hanno tutti i limiti di un trattato antropologico, grosso, ignorante e maschilista come chi scrive. E non ho neppure bisogno di fare un dottorato. Il curanderozapatista è sempre stato attratto dalla Svizzera, forse perchè sua madre è nata in provincia di Zurigo da migranti italiani in cerca di una vita dignitosa ad inizio anni ‘50. Questo, e forse altro, hanno fatto sì che la Svizzera fosse argomento dell’esame di quinta elementare, insieme all’Umbria se non ricordo male. Fin qui tutto liscio.

Poi la maturità, la conoscenza di banche e multinazionali con sede a Ginevra, la Croce Rossa, Pacini Battaglia, i fondi neri, uno stato che non ha un popolo come tanti, persone chiuse dentro case chiuse dentro comunità, il posto più razzista della Terra dopo Israele. E, dulcis in fundo, una compagna di casa svizzera.

Tracciare il profilo di comportamento di una nazione sulla base della conoscenza di un’unica persona mi rendo conto potrebbe essere imbarazzante. Ma l’antropologia e la sociologia, per quanto interessanti, sono scienze perfettibili che parecchi sono pure convinti di studiare al 38 di via Zamboni.

Qualcuno in Brasile, scherzando, mi ha chiesto se stessi portandogli la mafia. E forse così, in minima parte, è stato.

Il mio studio sul campo promuove a pieni voti, per meriti di igiene ed educazione, la convivenza con: brasiliani, arabi musulmani, triestini per le foibe e emiliani NON democratici.

デザイン・ミュージアムで開催中の、スペイン人デザイナー・アーティスト、ハビエル・マリスカル（Javier Mariscal）の回顧展「Mariscal: Drawing Life」が11月1日で終了する。1992年のバルセロナ・オリンピックの公式マスコット「コビー（Cobi）」のデザインで世界的に有名になったマリスカルの、30年以上に渡る多彩な創作活動が一堂に集められた、スペイン人らしい、実にカラフルで楽しい展覧会だ。1950年にバレンシアに生まれ、1970年以来バルセロナにベースを置くマリスカルの活動範囲は実に幅広く、創作活動なら何でも来い状態。「Mariscal: Drawing Life」では、マルチタレントであるマリスカルの、デザインベースであるドローイングやイラストレーションの他、絵画や彫刻、漫画のキャラクター、家具、照明、グラフィック・デザイン、コーポレート・アイデンティティ、家具などのインテリアデザイン、テキスタイル、造園、映像、写真等々、さまざまな作品が展示されている。

マリスカルは、1989年にEstudio Mariscalを設立、世界に名だたるデザイナーや建築家等とのプロジェクトを手がけてきた。著名建築家、設計者19名が各フロアをデザインして話題を呼んだ、2005年オープンのマドリッドの高級ホテル「ホテル・プエルタ・アメリカ」では、フェルナンド・サラス（Fernando Salas）とともに11階を担当。スペインの靴ブランド、Camper（カンペール）のバッグコレクション「Camper For Hands（カンペール・フォー・ハンズ）」のロゴタイプやグラフィックも手がけ、2003年9月に開店したカンペール表参道店も設計・デザインした。また、1991年から94年まで発行されていた日本のタウン誌・apo（アポ、S.S.コミュニケーションズ）のマリスカルの表紙デザインも見ることができる。

彼の、絶妙のカラーコーディネーション、奇抜なデザイン、ヘタウマ調のイラストは、時に騒々しいけれど、妙にほっとさせ、ハッピーな気分になる。まるで、真っ青な空に燦々と照る、スペインの太陽のようだ。

The first UK retrospective of Spanish designer and artist Javier Mariscal, “Mariscal: Drawing Life” at Design Museum will finish soon in November 1. This exhibition put Mariscal’s works over 30 years together on the same floor, and is extremely colorful and fun. Born in 1950 in Valencia and based in Barcelona since 1970, multi-talented Mariscal have produced a wide variety of works – anything creative. ‘Cobi‘, the official Olympic mascot he designed for the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games, made his name worldly recognized.  Mariscal: Drawing Life presents his major works in all kinds of medium, raging from drawing and illustration which are the basis for his designs, to painting, sculpture, cartoon characters, interior design such as furniture and lighting, graphic design including corporate identity and typography, textiles, landscaping, films, photographs and so on.

He opened the Estudio Mariscal in 1989 and has collaborated in several projects with famous designers and architects. His most notable works include Hotel Puerta América in Madrid (opened in 2005), a project in which the best architecture and design studios of the moment participated. Estudio Mariscal and Fernando Salas were responsible for the interior design of the eleventh floor. He is in charge of the logotype and graphic for the new brand of bags for Camper, “Camper For Hands, ” and designed a Camper shop in Omotesando, Tokyo in September 2003.

Girato principalmente tra Francia e Svizzera, il video è diretto da Cedric Le Cordroch e David Boisson con la partecipazione di riders come Arthur Longo, Gerome Mathieu, Franck Moissonnier, Friedl Kolar e JJ Roux. Dopo il primo e breve teaser di anticipazione, sul canale Vimeo del brand francese sono già online le prime tre parti.

This past week I had the joy of again realizing my greatest strength.  For the first part of this semester, I had took a hands off approach when it came to advising the students of Zeta Alpha (Bradley University).  I was trying to do something different, because I am usually a quite proactive person, and it was partly my fault that people were starting to fail.

I had students come to me for advice, and I as usual advised them to the best of my abilities, but I did not approach them or the chapter to proactively assist with the key issues.  Over the past few semesters the culture of the chapter has completely changed, and not for the better.  We went from an award winning and fun chapter, to it being a terrible experience for students.  I had encouraged key individuals to run for leadership positions, figuring that we could get people motivated from the top down.  I was hoping these leaders would inspire others to facilitate the changes necessary to become an award winning chapter again.  Some of these individuals were amazing and some were less than stellar, but the changes were like fighting a tsunami of apathy.

Finally, this past week I addressed the chapter as a whole.  The results were highly unexpected.  I expected much resistance, but I encountered an intelligent conversation.  The students were just looking for someone to facilitate the conversation, and to offer motivational solutions.  I reminded them if they were unhappy with APO, then it was their choice to change it.  To just converse about change and do nothing is pretty much wasted breath.  After a good 30 min conversation the room was once again energized.

The look on their faces since, Wed, have been absolutly refreshing for myself.  I have been a bit discouraged lately, about my want to be employed to advise and guide college students.  This was not only a great motivation for the students in this room, but it was an excellent tool for me to know that I am still on the correct career path, and how efficient I am at adult motivation.

Other than that, I am developing a workshop for APO to get socially networked.  The possibilities for free marketing and individual group, professionally and socially, are excellent.  The best thing is that I get to create this program for class credit, so it kills two birds with one stone.  Life is going pretty well on other fronts too.

Aquest any el Correllengua ha anat perfecte, començant pel dia assolellat que ha fet i després tots els actes programats han sortit “rodons”. El futbol, ha guanyat l’Olvan al Cardona per 3 a 1. L’espectacle infantil del grup Berguedà, Koloraines, que s’ha fet davant el Casal, hi ha sortit molta gent. Quan s’ha acabat, representants de l’APO han llegit el manifest en defensa de la llengua i, per acabar, un disputat torneig de truc al Casal.
