9:30 p.m.

Llegamos al Expo Reforma (buen venue), nochecita agusto, presagiando lo que estaba a punto de pasar. El acceso fluido sin contratiempos, sólo algunos gritos como “Cuidado al subir, no se vayan a tropezar” o “Baños Nivel 4 y 8″. Lo siguiente fue acoplarnos al lugar, lo primero ubicar de donde salía la cerveza. Y así llegó la primera ronda.

El audio machín, reventando cuando empezó a sonar “Tomorrow Never Comes” y siguió prendiendo con tracks como “Calling The Ships To Port” y un excelente remix de “New Drug”.

Seguía pasando el tiempo y la música, los vasos se iban vacíos y regresaban con cebada.

El reloj se empezaba a llenar con puntos negros señalándonos que se estaba haciendo tarde, con la gente impaciente, al fin, a las 12:30 salió el grupo abridor ‘Trans-X’, prendiendo al principio pero iendo para abajo poco a poco.

Ese fue el primer coro que pudimos cantar cuando salió APB después del leve Intro, momento curioso por que recién llegó la última ronda de cebada, entonces los saltos y el baile tuvieron que esperar a que se vaciara el vaso, pero la voz estaba inquebrantable.

“Eclipse” fue lo siguiente, Im-pre-sio-nan-te! y después 2 cerrones con 2 desconocidos por parte de B! Machine, que no llegó a mayores.

Tracks del Rocket Science fueron irrelevantes, lo demás fue pura sabrosura: Kathy’s Song (casi lloro) – In This Together (perra) – Deep Red – You Keep Me From Breaking Apart – Until The End of The World (no mames!) – Non Stop Violence (me boté) – Moment of Tranquility (la gran sorpresa) – Mourn (el cierre).

Siguió el after en mi casa y el resumen de lo que habíamos vivido que en verdad parecía un sueño, nadie había estado preparado para lo que tuvimos oportunidad de ver.

El estrago y la mente revuelta duró hasta la tarde del domingo con carnitas y más cerveza, lo mejor fue que duró por lo que escuchamos y no por como nos hayamos puesto.

Así fue que cerró ese día histórico en mi vida y creo que en la de muchos, muchísimos más.

Apoptygma Berzerk + The Anix
Markthalle, 05/02/2009

Je profite d’un passage à Hamburg pour me faire une petite soirée concert dans la Markthalle, une salle vraiment très sympa : environ 1300 personnes, une salle tout en descente donc tout le monde voit très bien, vraiment très agréable. En première partie, The Anix, un quartet rock californien qui ne m’a pas plus marqué que ça. Le seul titre qui sortait un peu du lot était leur reprise Nice Shots de Filter.

La suite est déjà plus intéressante à regarder : c’est Apoptygma Berzerk. C’est pas très connu dans nos contrées mais ça fait un petit moment que ces suédois tournent avec succès sur une cible notamment jeune. Leur musique est une sorte de mélange de rock avec de la synthpop dansante. Clairement facile d’accès et visiblement bien populaire en Allemagne vue la réaction du public sur certaines chansons.

Le chanteur, Stephan, est une sorte de clone pour ado de Brian Molko, avec une voix très similaire (plutôt agréable pour le coup). Il est à fond dans ses chansons et c’est lui qui tient vraiment le groupe. Le show en lui même est plutôt propret avec un double écran à l’arrière de la scène avec des projections très similaires à ce que peuvent faire les Porcupine Tree.

Je crois qu’il ne manque qu’une chanson dans la setlist :

esta misma semana os presentábamos el proyecto musical en solitario de Urías con la presentación de su videoclip “The Blame”, y hace poco también os hablamos de su banda de Metal Extremo The Bleeding Sun. Lo cierto es que Urías es un más que reconocido metalero, y por eso a muchos les extraña que tenga un proyecto de música electrónica como es Urías. No es ahora nuestra intención hacer una declaración de principios sobre la música, simplemente diremos que a Urías le gusta la variedad musical, punto. Pero para ilustrar un poco de donde le viene todo el rollo electrónico a Urías, hemos pensado en poneros algunos videos de aquellas bandas que más han influenciado los sonidos de Urías (porque tampoco vamos a decir aquello tan guai de “yo hago mi propia música, no me fijo en lo que hacen otros grupos”, más que nada porque es una chorrada).

Podríamos hablar de un cuarteto en cuanto a las influencias más importantes, formada por VNV Nation, Covenant, Wumpscut y Apoptygma Berzerk. Pero aparte de esto, habría que sumarle a la formación del gusto musical de Urías el Techno Pop de los ochenta y también a los inimitables Kraftwerk. Pero para no marearos, os dejamos con el cuarteto imprescindible para entender, al menos, el segundo álbum de Urías:

Como Apoptygma Berzerk se hizo bastante famoso por hacer versiones de Metallica estilo EBM (apareciendo así en muchos recopilatorios), os dejo aquí “Fade To Black” y “Nothing Else Matters” como curiosidad:

I’ not alone. I’m not afraid. I’m not unhappy. These are the words that VNV Nation starts this post with. I was thinking of dedicating this post to the genre known as futurepop. For a while I’ve been thinking of making a post about this electronic music genre, and perhaps now is the time.

VNV NATION

So, first of all I would like to make one thing very clear. FUTUREPOP IS NOT THE SAME AS ELECTRONIC BODY MUSIC (EBM). There, now you know. I’m tired of people calling every hard alternativ electronic music genre for EBM, and that the music that actually is EBM is called old school EBM. Like 80% of all the people who states that they are listening to EBM actually listens to things like futurepop, aggrotech or something else. Now I can actually start talking about futurepop.

APOPTYGMA BERZERK

It all began in the early to mid 90s. For some reason the year 1992 is the founding date for many futurepop artists. New bands, most notably VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk and Covenant, started using song structures and vocals from synthpop, clean leads and arpeggiated synthesizer melodies and blending it with the roughness of EBM. It was Ronan Harris from VNV Nation and Stephan Groth from Apoptygma Berzerk who coined the term futurepop to describe their music.

COVENANT

Musically futurepop uses the vocals and song structures from synthpop (hence one part of the name). Break-cymbals, choruses, the all-important bassdrum, hi hat, snare, hi hat-pattern are all included in the genre. There are many elements from uplifting trance music, as grandiose arpeggiated melodies, clean leads, pads, all very melodic. But futurepop is more harder and edgy than pure trance, that’s why many trance fans consider it to be too industrial. To the industrial scene, on the other hand, futurepop is way to melodic and popish for their noisy ears. EBM is a clear post-industrial development, but I don’t think you could consider futurepop to be that. It borrows to many elements from other genres. The bass lines of futurepop isn’t as driving and fast as in EBM, but the inspiration is definitely there. The first part of the name futurepop comes from Ronan Harris (as I believe I remember) who thought that futurepop would be the mainstream pop genre of the future, also thinking about the electronic and machinal parts of the music which could be considered future-ish, technology and all that. Futurepop songs vary in their amount of hardness, some are flirting with the more aggressive aggrotech, while others are leaning more towards the synthpop of the 80s. In futurepop music synthesized choirs and strings are common (especially with VNV Nation) which gives the music a mighty feeling. High-pitched but soft sounds might be found as well. The by far most important futurepop synth is the Access Virus, that wonderful VA synth has everything it takes to make beautiful leads, pads, arpeggios and basses. I can’t come up with one band which doesn’t use it.

ONE OF THE VIRUSES

Futurepop songs are generally quite long, often around 4.5 to 6 minutes, compared to EBM songs which usually are around 3 minutes long. Therefore there often are long intros which gradually build up the whole song, just to fade out at the end. Most futurepop artists (for example VNV Nation, Assemblage 23, Covenant, Icon of Coil, Colony 5 etc.) tend to favor one-word song titles. I don’t know why really, this is just a fact. Like 90% of all futurepop songs have only one word in the title, and I think VNV Nation and Assemblage 23 are the ones who are most obsessed with this. Mainstream pop songs are usually named after the key sentence of the chorus, like “Why Do You Hate Me” or whatever. But if a futurepop artist would have made the same song, it would probably just be called “Hate”. If you want to go deep with this, you could say that pop/rock artists want their song titles to be easy to remember, it’s easier to remember a verse in the chorus than the name of the song. So, if the song is named after that, then people will have no trouble remembering it. But futurepop artists don’t want the name to take away attention from the music, after all – its just a name. Perhaps they want the lyrics to speak for themselves, and not let the song title be too obvious. But perhaps I’m just getting lost here, at least I know I prefer to give my tracks one-word names.

Instrumental tracks are commonly found on CDs, but the clean and proffessional vocals are very important to the genre, as opposed to the grunted or distorted screaming of the aggrotech “singers”. Lyrically the music often touches subjects such as love, emotions, life, technology, society, humanity and things alike, often with deeper meanings. But this depends on the band of course. Futurepop has its origins in Norway, Sweden, Germany, USA and the UK, but today most of the music derivates from just Germany, where the largest scene is. Some important bands are the Norwegian Apoptygma Berzerk and Icon of Coil, the swedish Covenant and Colony 5, the American Assemblage 23 and The (new) Crüxshadows, the English VNV Nation, and the german Blutengel, Seabound, Rotersand, Neuroticfish, And One, De/Vision and Melotron, to name a few. The most notable festival is the M’era Luna Festival, which each year houses many futurepop artists.

Personally I got into this genre when I was quite young, with the band The Crüxhsadows (the early CSX was more of a darkwave band, but now they are going more and more towards futurepop). Before, I was obsessed with Kraftwerk, and exceptionally listnened to them. Then I found CXS, and for a long time they were the only thing that sounded in my headphones. But then I gradually started to widen my view by listening to artists such as VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk, Covenant, Icon of Coil and Colony 5. Today Covenant is by far my biggest idol and influence in life, although I don’t listen as much to them as I used to.

COVENANT, AGAIN

Today futurepop is larger then it ever have been. The followers of this genre is ranging from cyberpunks and rivetheads, to just “ordinary” people. When futurepop first emerged it was more rough and edgy than it is today, but as time goes it tend to get more and more melodic and mainstream (like most futurepop band have evolved, Covenant for example). Who knows what will come out of it in the future? Perhaps futurepop is the new wave of pop music in a few yers. Who knows.

Now I hope you people have been given a deeper understanding of what futurepop is from this rather short post (which I may expand in the future). This one genre is one I will probably never get tired of, and it always cheers me up to hear a good futurepop song. No other genre have had a bigger impact on my life emotionally, and I hope it will do for you what it have done for me.

oι Αpoptygma Berzerk θυμίζουν μια περίοδο της ζωής μου που πολλές φορές δεν είμαι σίγουρος  αν υπήρξε. κάπου χαμένη στις αρχές των 00s, σε μια φάση φοιτητικής παρατεταμένης εφηβείας, πνιγμένη στο φτηνό αλκοόλ, στα συνεχόμενα ξενύχτια, σε αποτυχημένες σχέσεις… και στο EBM. αγνοώ πραγματικά τους λόγους για τους οποίους ασχολήθηκα παραπάνω από ένα μήνα με ένα είδος που -στην καλύτερη περίπτωση- θυμίζει εκλεπτυσμένη early 90s trance ή απλά depeche mode on special k. θυμάμαι το Empires των VnV Nation, το Spectators των Wolfsheim, τους Μesh, τους De/Vision, τους Covenant και ακόμα χειρότερα τους Κirlian Camera, τους Assemblage 23 και ένα κάρο μετα-μοντέρνα απολειφάδια της electro-pop και του new wave να πριονίζουν ασταμάτητα, συνοδεύοντας κάθε μαλακία που λέγαμε και κάνανε από το απόγευμα που ξυπνάγαμε μέχρι το πρωί που κοιμόμασταν. ευτυχώς η φάση αυτή τελείωσε -έστω και καθυστερημένα- και σήμερα δεν περιμένω με αγωνία το επόμενο fetish party του Φακίνου, αλλά ακούω μουσικές που δεν παίζονται πουθενά από μπάντες που δεν γνωρίζουν την ύπαρξη της Ελλάδας. χμ, όχι και τόσο επιτυχημένη εξέλιξη if you ask me. ενιγουέι, θυμήθηκα όλα αυτά με αφορμή την κυκλοφορία του νέου δίσκου των Αpoptygma Berzerk με τίτλο Rocket Science, 9 χρόνια μετά το -πολύ καλό- Welcome to Earth, 7 χρόνια μετά το ευτελές Harmonizer και 2 χρόνια μετά το απαράδεκτο You and Me Against the World. άκουσα τον δίσκο σε fast forward, δεν είναι απελπιστικά κακός, οι δυνατές κιθάρες επιβάλλονται των πριονιών, τα βρωμό-μπιτα δεν είναι τόσο ενοχλητικά και ίσως να  μπορούσαν να χαρακτηριστούν “cool”,  αν η μπάντα έκοβε τις επαφές με το αμαρτωλό EBM παρελθόν της και έκανε ένα βήμα μπροστά σε ένα πιο DFA / Death From Above / disco punk μέλλον. με την διασκεύη του στο Trash των Suede (άκου/κατέβαζε) δείχνει ότι μπορεί. με τον υπόλοιπο δίσκο όμως δείχνει ότι δεν θέλει.

Apoptygma Berzerk son una banda noruega que empezó su camino ya hace mucho tiempo, concretamente en 1986, aunque su primer trabajo que fue una demo, data de 1990.

Se han dedicado a hacer una mezcla de estilos, que van desde el synthpop, pasando por el EBM (electronic body music) hasta el future pop.

Ya hace unos años que vienen mezclando otros géneros más electrónicos, con sus temas, dándole a sus trabajos una gamma de colores muy amplia.

Últimamente les está dando un buen resultado la mezcla de rock duro, con la electrónica.

Aclararos solo que en sus trabajos no solo hay este tipo de música, si no que es mas bien un cóctel de estilos.

Hoy voy a hablaros de un grupo que es muy desconocido, pero tiene un potencial enorme.

Como suele pasar con estos grupos, cuesta un montón encontrar temas suyos y no digamos videos.

Al final los encontré y me gustaron mucho…otra cosa va a ser colgar los videos, pero os irá de maravilla para coger una referencia de ellos.

Se llaman Product.01 y tienen 2 trabajos lanzados al mercado, Bullet ride y Hot trap que me parece que son Eps los 2, y recientemente han sacado otro que se llama Rage Ep, que al parecer suena mucho a Breakbeat.

Escuchando alguno de sus temas me pareció que si no han llegado aun a donde iban no tardaran mucho en hacerlo, sus melodías electrónicas son brutales, escuchad bien el tema Hot trap.

Ya se que es miércoles… pero os voy a poner un tema, que me hizo vibrar en noches de aquellas de locura, de cuando era joven (todavía lo soy, jeje).

Me fascinaba este tema y es que cuando sonaba, todo el mundo se paraba y se centraba en el. Creo que ha sido uno de los temas electrónicos, que marcó más a la gente de mi generación y no tan solo a la mia, si no que, aun de cuando en cuando, siguen sacando remezclas.

Pura dinamita para el cuerpo…

CHI ERANO I BERSERKIR ?

Se dico Berserkr cosa viene in mente a un giovane d’oggi che si interessa d’arte? Un sacco di cose, immagino. Il fumetto manga di Miura, per esempio, oppure il ciclo di romanzi fantascientifici di Saberhagen. O ancora il mitico videogioco degli anni ‘80, il gruppo EBM degli APOPTYGMA BERZERK e quello metal dei BERSERK. Sono tantissimi e tutti diversi i riferimenti che il termine Berserkr (al plurale Berserkir) richiama alla mente. Facciamo un po’ di ordine allora, cominciando col vedere l’origine di questo termine. Secondo il dizionario etimologico Cleasby-Vigfusson deriverebbe da “berr”, orso (dal tedesco baer) e serkr, maglia (dallo scozzese sark cioè shirt), “cappotto d’orso” quindi. Sembra invece non trovare riscontro l’interpretazione etimologica del termine che vorrebbe la prima parte “berr” tradotta con “bare” (“nudo” in inglese) ottenendo quindi una traduzione che suona più o meno “a torso nudo”. Chi erano dunque i Berserkir? Principalmente erano guerrieri vichinghi che attraverso un giuramento al dio Odino (massima entità degli dei vichinghi e nordici in genere) entravano in possesso, secondo la mitologia, di poteri soprannaturali che li rendevano insensibili alle ferite a al fuoco. Venivano  assoldati dai re nordici danesi e norvegesi come truppe d’elite e durante le battaglie combattevano nella prima fila dello schieramento, completamente nudi e coperti solo da pelli d’orso o di lupo (in questo caso il nome si tramutava in ulfhednar -”mantello di lupo”). Si narra anche che, prima di ogni scontro per effetto del giuramento a Odino, entrassero in uno stato di agitazione fisica e psichica conosciuto col termine di berserksgangr. Questo stato viene così descritto: il soggetto comincia a tremare, battere i denti ed è pervaso da una sensazione di freddo nel corpo. La faccia si gonfia e cambia colore. Segue una grande rabbia, l’ululare e una forte propensione alla rissa. Quando la rabbia svanisce, il berserkr è completamente stremato, condizione che perdura anche per diversi giorni. Non sono poche le saghe che descrivono questi guerrieri negli avamposti dell’esercito schierato a battaglia, mentre ululano, sbattono la spada sugli elmi, mordono i loro scudi e infine si avventano sul nemico come animali assetati di sangue. Pare che l’unico modo per fermarli fosse asportare loro il cuore oppure la testa, in quanto erano completamente insensibili al dolore e in preda a un raptus che spesso li costringeva ad attaccare non solo gli avversari ma anche gli alleati. In alcune saghe, per esempio, si narra che dei berserkir, una volta terminata lo scontro col nemico, per esaurire la propria furia omicida avessero attaccato e saccheggiato dei villaggi amici, violentandone le donne. Nella leggenda di Hrolf Kraki, invece, il campione berserk di quest’ultimo, Bothvar Bjarki (personaggio che è stato fonte di ispirazione anche per il buon vecchio Tolkien) stando a quel che si dice, combatteva con le sembianze di un grosso orso. Anche nella Saga di Volsunga il guerriero Sigmund e suo figlio Sinfjotli indossavano pelli di lupo, usavano il linguaggio dei lupi e ululavano quando attaccavano. Tornando ai riferimenti prettamente storici pare che Erik il Rosso, colui che scoprì l’America quasi 500 anni prima di Colombo, fosse un berserk e Harald Bellachioma (Harald I di Norvegia) era fra quei re prima menzionati che usava questi potenti guerrieri come truppe d’elite. In generale quasi tutti i re pagani del nord utilizzavano queste soldati come guardie del corpo: una squadra di dodici uomini è la formazione più comunemente riportata nelle fonti. Anche durante le battaglie navali, che fra i popoli del nord erano frequenti, i feroci guerrieri consacrati a Odino avevano un posto in prima fila. Combattevano infatti sul castello di prua della nave del re; lo spazio tra la poppa e la mezzeria era chiamato rausn, o difesa avanzata, e questo era il posto destinato ai berserkir. Ma la loro fortuna nelle fredde lande del nord era purtroppo destinata a finire con l’avvento del cristianesimo. Intorno all’anno mille in Islanda (il primo vescovo islandese viene consacrato tale nel 1056) la furia dei berserkir fu in pratica dichiarata fuori legge e i ferini combattenti furono considerati come una sorta di demoni satanici; le saghe del periodo li rappresentano come buffoni pazzi adatti soltanto a essere fatti a pezzi da un vero eroe. Anche nella penisola scandinava Erik Jarl di Norvegia nel 1015 lì bandì dal regno seguendo la legge cristiana. In pratica nel 1100 i berserkir organizzati erano spariti. Spariti per entrare nella leggenda.

NUOVE TEORIE SUI BERSERKIR

In tempi recenti il tema è tornato d’attualità. Soprattutto l’analisi e lo studio sulla condizione di berserksgangr ha portato alcuni studiosi ad avanzare delle teorie suggestive. Secondo il professore statunitense Jesse L.Byock, questa rabbia potrebbe essere stata causata dal morbo di Paget, che comporta l’ingrossamento delle ossa del cranio e come prova a sostegno cita le teste grosse e sgradevoli di Egill Skallagrimssonar nella saga di Egil. Altri associano la condizione di rabbia e tremore incontrollato all’epilessia e all’isteria. In particolare la tesi sull’epilessia risulta interessante se pensiamo che l’essere Berserk era una condizione ereditaria come quella di epilettico. C’è infine chi crede che le società dei feroci guerrieri nordici facesse uso di infusi a base di amanita muscaria, un fungo allucinogeno, i cui effetti sono molto simili a quelli provocati dal berserksgangr. Ragionando sul fenomeno anche al sottoscritto è venuto l’ardore di azzardare qualche teoria che non ha a che fare né con la scienza, né con la storia, ma più che altro con le credenze mitologiche che in passato, ma anche ai nostri giorni, si sono tramandate di generazione in generazione nelle culture occidentali ma non solo. Penso alla figura mitica dei lupo mannaro o del vampiro, per esempio. Il fatto che per uccidere questi guerrieri bisognasse staccar loro la testa o il cuore, che si vestissero da lupi e che parlassero come loro e soprattutto che a volte rivolgessero la loro rabbia anche contro amici e alleati, in pratica contro chiunque gli si parasse davanti non può non farmi tornare alla mente i licantropi e i figli del buio assetati di sangue umano che hanno regalato tante notti insonni alle nostre generazioni. Che tutto sia nato in una fredda landa del nord una notte di 1300 anni fa? La cosa non mi stupirebbe. D’altronde i miti e gli archetipi nascono e si trasformano nel tempo e nello spazio da sempre: il mito del guerriero invincibile che sfida e sconfigge l’uomo-bestia inferocito e cattivo,  il brutto e deforme incompreso che si rifugia nella solitudine e anche il numero di dodici (penso agli apostoli) soldati alla corte del re, devoti e instancabili servitori (anche se poi nel caso degli apostoli ce n’è uno che tradisce). Figure e numeri che tornano dal profondo della storia, per rivelarsi sotto nuove forme e nuove pelli. Quelle di lupo e di orso dei berserkir.

Heute endlich mein XP neuinstalliert. Lauft schneller und hängt nicht auf wenn ich die Lautstärke regle Ansonsten gibt es Ärger mit der Schulwebseite des Goethe-Gymnasiums. Warum kann nicht alles mit PHP5 und mit meiner Konfiguration laufen ?

Versione sintetica: concerto esagerato! Loro sono dei grandi performer live e hanno davvero fatto un delirio! Bravi!

Versione estesa: partiamo dal locale, l’Abart di Zurigo, piccolo, stretto contatto con il palco e la band che ci suonerà, impianto audio non eccezionale ma neanche pessimo, di sicuro tenuto alto (ma non da diventare sordi) e questo non lo posso considerare un male quando vedo un concerto.

Bella gente, tutti molto educati, bella anche l’atmosfera con il locale completamente dark così come il pubblico per l’occasione (penso di esser stato l’unico con dei jeans blu), capienza credo 200-300 persone ad occhio a starci comodi e potersi muovere. E’ in zona 3 di Zurigo, quindi quasi centro direi, con 5-10 minuti di linea 13 del tram si arriva in centro a Zurigo. Nelle vicinanze c’è anche un mega centro commerciale (Sihlcity) con annesso Burger King in cui si può stazionare e farsi un giro (acquistando magari come me i nuovi auricolari In-Ear della Apple per 10€ in meno grazie al cambio col franco..) in attesa del concerto. 

Noi abbiamo preferito girare per Zurigo e qua una divagazione è d’obbligo perchè Zurigo è una città che merita di essere vista e probabilmente di essere vissuta. Circa 350.000 persone, il sistema dei trasporti pubblici è completamente integrato, frequente e puntuale oltre che capillare, si arriva ovunque con tram bus o treni (o battelli sul lago). E’ una città a misura d’uomo, pochissimo traffico (e le miei riflessioni su questo andranno nel post che seguirà viste le implicazioni che ha portato il codice della strada nella città di Zurigo… UPDATE: link), servizi pubblici che funzionano, grandi spazi pedonali, una sensazione generale di sicurezza (girare alle 3 di notte per parchi era come girare per il salotto di casa) ma soprattutto è una città bella: belle architetture, bei negozi bel panorama con il lago che crea un paesaggio da cartolina, davvero merita di essere visitata, il rovescio della medaglia è che risulta un po’ cara come stile di vita e a febbraio fa un freddo maledetto.

Ma ora si parla del concerto! Apoptygma Berzerk! che Dire? Hanno fatto 2 ore di concerto incredibile. I The Anix (gruppo USA) hanno aperto la serata, il cd non era niente di che, invece live pur continuando a non piacermi il loro genere hanno comunque dato un senso al loro lavoro, e il batterista, rinominato subito “Tutti pazzi per Mary” per l’imbarazzante quantità di gel sui capelli, pestava di brutto.

Poi arrivano gli Apop e gli zurighesi, gente fredda composta e calma (evviva i luoghi comuni direte, ma hanno un fondo di verità), vanno in delirio insieme a noi italici casinisti. Iniziano a suonare che sono un quarto alle 10 e per 2 ore non smettono più di rendermi felice: Until The End of the World, Apollo, In This Together, Eclipse, Love Never Dies, Mourn, Non-Stop Violence, Kathy’s Song, You Keep Me From Breaking Apart, Shine On, Weight of the World, Mercy Kill, Shadow, Butterfly defect, Starsign! 

E’ mancata forse Black & White, ma non gli si poteva chiedere di più, hanno mischiato le loro due anime, i vecchi pezzi elettronici e i nuovi più rock pop, con semplicità e hanno dato ai fan quello che volevano, una serata indimenticabile con tutte le loro canzoni più rappresentative, certo ognuno ha una sua scaletta ideale, ma credo che abbiano fatto un buon lavoro accontentando tutti.

Peccato che il merchandise non era all’altezza, perchè una maglietta con il simbolo della missione spaziale APOP come era presente sulla batteria, io l’avrei portara a casa volentieri.

Così si è conclusa una giornata davvero piacevole e uno dei concerti più belli che abbia visto, ma per le strani leggi dell’universo qualcosa di terribile doveva capitarci, ed è successo!
