Conciente de las necesidades del equipo, el entrenador millonario decidió modificar el esquema de cara al partido de la próxima fecha con Huracán, luego de la calamitosa derrota como local ante Independiente. Por otro lado, el volante Rodrigo Archubi dio positivo en el control antidoping del partido con GELP, por la 6ª fecha, y estará sin jugar por 6 meses.

No va más. Para aquellos seguidores de paladar negro que aspiran a ver un River protagonista y ofensivo en todas las canchas, tendrán que sintonizar otro canal o sentarse en la tribuna y mirar para otro lado. La triste realidad a la que llegó el equipo, por una infinidad de causas que no son motivo de esta nota pero serán detalladas próximamente, llevó al entrenador Leo Astrada a modificar el 4-3-1-2, que no dio resultado ante Independiente, por un conservador pero equilibrado 4-4-2.

Durante las últimas prácticas, el Negro probó con un doble cinco de marca (con Almeyda) y otro de juego (con Abelairas). En ambos casos el único jugador que se repitió fue el juvenil Nicolás Domingo que retorna del ostracismo al que Pipo lo llevó por razones que todavía se desconocen. Respecto a la defensa no habrá mayores sorpresas y será conformada por: Ferrari, Sánchez, Orban y Villagra; en el medio es una fija la vuelta de Barrado, por derecha, y Buonanotte tendría un lugar por izquierda; la delantera es el sector con más dudas y hay cuatro jugadores para dos puestos: Fabbiani, Bou, Ortega y Mauro Díaz.

En otro ámbito de cosas, y haciéndo uso legítimo de la legalización para consumo personal de drogas, el frágil volante por la izquierda del equipo, Rodrigo Archubi, dio positivo en el control antidopaje correspondiente al partido frente a Gimnasa La Plata, por la 6ª fecha. La AFA no informó cual fue la sustancia prohibida, sin embargo, lo suspendió provisoriamente y lo citó a declarar en el Tribunal de Disciplina. Se estima que estará fuera de las canchas por al menos 6 meses.

CL: Olympiakos Vs. Real Madrid (Preview)

Real Madrid will be playing their 4th match in the Champions League Group C, nicely standing top of the table with 7 points, while Olympiakos is playing at home and is 2nd place with 4 points.

As we can recollect, Robinho played a very important role in the last match which ended 4-2 for Real Madrid, the match was sensational really made us all be on edge. Real Madrid players showed their real spirit in that match and showed how much they want to win this season.

One weird observation is that Real Madrid lost a match before meeting Olympiakos, in the first match they lost 2-1 to Espanyol and now they just got a 2-0 loss against Sevilla. But i still expect Real Madrid to focus in this match and just put whatever past wins and losses aside.

Wingers Arjen Robben and Gonzalo Higuaín and the backup goal keeper Jerzy Dudek are still injured but the central defender Pepe and midfielder Wesley Sneijder are back and going to be traveling with their team mates but not sure if any of them would be able to play full 90 minutes.

Olympiakos will be missing injured defender Paraskevas Antzas and Vassilis Torossidis who was sent off in the previous match. Michal Zewlakow is back from injury and might feature in the match, although i seriously doubt he could play a full match.

My eyes will be locked on 3 main players today, ofcourse Robinho especially after his great show against Olympiakos although he wasn’t able to do much against Sevilla in the Spanish league but still its going to be different here. Another Real Madrid player to watch would be Wesley Sneijder that is if he played any part in the game. From Olympiakos the amazing midfielder Predrag Djordjevic who is 35 years old and plays as if he is 25 amazing speed and dribbling.

I expect a win for Real Madrid, maybe 2-1, in the worst situations i would expect a draw 1-1 or 2-2. But i believe we will win tonight.
