Recently Ardamax virus spread in to our network. However it could not damage much of my system thanks to the Eset – SmartSecurity. It Just Destroyed the File Sharing and Network Drivers.  But the Impact on the Other Systems haveing mere AVG Free antivirus are tremandus.

The Symptums are like AVG Reported about the attack. But it cannot cure. and the virus creates  %DirectoryName%.exe files in all the Directories acessed (even remotely). It attacks the “regsvr.exe” file. it disbles registry editing.

It creates Five exe files in all my Documents Folders. viz.

My Music.exe,

My Pictures.exe,

New Folder.exe ,

My Vidieos.exe,

regsvr.exe,

autorun.inf.

This attacks are cleared only by Avira Antivirus & Kaspersky 2009 only.

At first I tried Avira (Trial) it quarantines all files. But upto that all system files are gone. When the system restarts. The taskbar, the start button are gone. yes  it kills the kernal.dll file. what you can see is just the desktop background. The WinXP needs to be repaired. But it worked temprovarily as the attack continues. Then i just tried Kaspersky in One system. It removes the virus. but have to wait and see…
