We’re located in Dade City, Florida.

It is pretty rural, which is great if you need some rest from big city noise and such but if you don’t have a car, getting around may be a problem.

Public transportation here is nowhere near of  that in Europe or  many big US cities. There is a bus stop about 1 mile away from us but that will only take you to Dade City or Zephyrhills, two small towns nearby, if you want to go further, you’ll need to change buses. We usually go to Tampa at least once a week. and we’ll be happy to give you a ride there or other places we’re going but quite frankly we probably won’t be going places you want to go that often.

If you’re coming for a long stay we probably can pick you up at Tampa airport or Greyhound station *  but we really can’t play taxi and drive you places, sorry. And the real taxi is expensive.

The closest town (Dade City) is about 8.5 miles and you can bike or take a bus there but it’s a small town, so there is not much to do there. You don’t need a car to ride a bike on beautiful Withlacoochee State Trail, explore Withlacoochee Forest or fish, sunbathe, read, watch TV and browse the Internet in your free time but if this doesn’t sound like your idea of fun, you may want to look into renting a car, at least for a few days.

We don’t know if your country’s license is valid in Florida or what price rental car company will charge you but we’re sure that Google will tell you if you ask nicely.

He looked in each of the four rooms, taking the items there before traveling to the roof of the tower where he saw no one.
When he walked back down the tower, he saw a gargoyle enter a secret passage and he followed it.
He enetered the first section, he saw Darkbeat and Ibkee, whom were looking for the same townspeople.
They entered the second section where Darkbeat and Ibkee fought the red monster while Knight and Baby fought the blue monster.
Once the monsters were defeated, everyone else left, but not before a Heldarian told Knight that another person was still trapped.
Knight walked until he saw a portal, which he entered, where he saw a man trapped by the Guardian.
He battled and defeated the Guardian, receiving Solomon’s Ring and gratitude from the Triskian named Jadik the watchmaker.

LED Uptake Grows In Hazardous-Area Lighting

Recent developments in LED lighting technology have reduced ‘whole-life’ costs through greater power efficiency and the reduced need for maintenance. This has made the technology more suitable for use in hazardous areas. Marc Fernandez, a market-research analyst with IMS Research, has released a report on LEDs’ application in this area.

He said: ‘In the past, LED lighting has been seen as an expensive alternative to fluorescent lighting, but with recent developments, many lighting manufacturers and suppliers are considering it. ‘It is thought to be a ‘greener’ option as there is less maintenance required and it is more power-efficient than fluorescent lighting.

‘Growth in its use in the hazardous-area equipment market will be driven by the growing adoption of maintenance-free lighting and by the replacement of existing lighting with new forms of luminaries. ‘A survey of end users of hazardous-area equipment carried out by IMS Research indicates that a large proportion of respondents intended to increase their usage of LED lighting in three years.

‘While this take-up of LED lighting is significant, it should be noted that a larger proportion of respondents still currently used and planned to use fluorescent lighting. ‘This suggests that LED technology still has a long way to go against its established competitor,’ he concluded.

The previous post in this series presented a User Defined Function (UDF) to fit  a cubic spline to a series of points defined by XY coordinates.  Each segment of the resulting spline is defined by a separate cubic curve, which may be easily integrated to find the area under the curve.  The UDF CSArea() has been added to the cubic spline spreadsheet to perform this function.  The spreadsheet may be downloaded from: CSpline2.zip  As usual, the spreadsheet includes full open source code. 

The screenshot below provides additional detail of the area calculation, and an example finding the area of a semi-circle:
