Serial Robber is Armed and Dangerous

The FBI, Moberly Police, Sedalia Police, and Rolla Police believe the same robber held up the following three banks in Missouri:

Robber Description:

White male
40 to 50 years old
Heavy set weighing about 300 pounds
5’7” – 6’ tall
“Salt and pepper” facial hair

The robber not only looks similar based on surveillance photos, but the method of operation and get-away vehicle were also similar. In each case, the robber approached the counter, pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the teller and demanded money. The robber then took an undisclosed amount of cash and stuffed it into a bag. In the first two cases, the robber was seen getting into a 2003/2004 white Dodge minivan. In the last and most recent case, a white minivan was seen near the bank in Rolla.

Bank Robber Threatens to “Pull the Pin”

Uses Explosive Device in Hold-Up

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who threatened to detonate an explosive device as he robbed the Wachovia Bank at 4510 Kingwood Drive yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., a lone white male entered the bank and approached a teller station. He pulled what was described by witnesses as a hand grenade or a smoke bomb from his pocket and demanded all of the teller’s large bills. He then placed his finger into the ring of the pin as if to pull it, and said “I’m not playing.” He grabbed the cash and fled the bank on foot. No one was physically injured.

The robber is described as a white, possibly Hispanic, male, 35 to 45 years old, 5’5” to 5’7” tall, stocky build, black hair, light complexion. He was wearing a dark colored jacket.

Robbery of Sovereign Bank Branch in Philadelphia

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Sovereign Bank branch located at 1500 Market Street this morning.

At approximately 8:13 a.m., an unidentified male entered the Sovereign Bank branch and verbally threatened a teller, indicating that he had a gun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries, and no weapon was displayed.

The subject is described as a black male in his late 30’s, 5′7″, 170 to 180 pounds, dark complexion, with a few days of facial hair growth, wearing a black knit cap, a green “Roca Wear” jacket with a thick white stripe down each sleeve and logos on the back and front left chest, black gloves, dark pants, and white sneakers. This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. On Thursday, December 17, 2009, at approximately 4:22 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at TCF Bank, 2084 S. Broadway, Denver, Colorado.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25-30 years old, with a small build.

The suspect presented a demand note, received cash, and fled.

On Friday, December 18, 2009, at approximately 1:40 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at US Bank, 7250 Park Meadows Dr., Lone Tree, Colorado.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6′3″ to 6′4″, 130 lbs.

The suspect is described as a white male, 35-50 years old, 5′8″, 200 lbs.

The suspect presented a demand note, received cash, and fled.

12/19/2009 – Robbery of Liberty Savings Bank

On Friday, December 18, 2009, at approximately 9:42 a.m., a bank robbery occurred at Liberty Savings Bank, 9660 E. Alameda Ave, Denver, Colorado.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6′3″ to 6′4″, thin build.

The suspect made a verbal demand, received cash, and fled.

Grandpa Bandit Hits Fifth Bank Tuesday

Reward Increased to $10,000

The Oregon Financial Institutions Security Task Force (FIST) and Bank of America are now offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a serial bank robbery nicknamed the “Grandpa Bandit” after he robbed what investigators believe was his fifth bank today in Hillsboro. The previous four robberies were in Salem, Sherwood and West Linn.

The man, nicknamed the “Grandpa Bandit”, robbed the Bank of America branch located at 1375 NW 185th Avenue in Hillsboro at about 3:10 pm. He is also suspected in four other robberies:

October 14, 2009 – Key Bank branch located at 750 Lancaster Drive NE in Salem
October 29, 2009 – Bank of America branch located at 3803 Center Street NE in Salem
December 2, 2009 – Bank of America branch located at 15961 SW Tualatin-Sherwood Road in Sherwood
December 10, 2009 – Bank of America located at 19181 Willamette Drive in West Linn

Although he did not show a weapon in today’s robbery, he has threatened tellers in previous robberies. In one instance, investigators believe that he threatened to kill a teller as he showed her a weapon in his waistband.

Witnesses describe him as:

Weight: 160 – 180 pounds
Hair: Gray
Eyes: Light, possibly hazel
Wearing: Dark blue zip-up hoodie, Hawaiian-print shirt, jeans, glasses, possibly sunglasses propped up on his head

12/16/2009 – Robbery of Bank of the West in Arvada

On Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at the Bank of The West located at 5805 Carr Street, Arvada, Colorado.

A lone white male entered the bank and verbally demanded money from the victim teller. Fearing for her life, the victim teller complied, removed cash from her drawer and handed the cash to the robber. The robber was last seen leaving the bank east bound on foot.

The r obber is described as a white male, late 30’s to early 40’s, 5′7″, thin build, wearing a red construction hard hat, black hoodie-style sweat shirt under a black thigh length jacket, dark pants, and dark shoes.

“PJ Bandit” Serial Bank Robber Believed Responsible for Eight Bank Robberies

BOSTON, MA—The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is releasing photographs and seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the individual believed responsible for the following eight bank robberies:

In seven of the robberies, the subject has passed a note threatening the use of a gun. In one robbery, a small black handgun was displayed. In several of the robberies, the subject is seen using a black and silver cell phone and carrying a dark colored messenger bag/lap-top bag.

12/15/2009 – FBI and NOPD Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Bank Robbers

David W. Welker, Special Agent in Charge of the New Orleans Division of the FBI, and Warren Riley, Superintendent of the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), request the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for the robbery of the Capital One Bank located at 6235 S. Clairborne Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana.

At approximately 10:17 a.m. today, two individuals armed with handguns approached a teller window and demanded money. The robbers were described as black males, approximately 6’ – 6’3”, and 170-190 pounds. One wore a camouflage jacket and a white t-shirt covering his face. The other robber wore a white t-shirt and a black hooded sweatshirt. The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a white Jeep Cherokee which was abandoned and recovered a few blocks from the bank near Broadway Avenue and Green Street.

The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) offers up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of these robbers. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 504-816-3000.

12/15/2009 – “Baby Face Bandit” Robs Bank of America

The New York FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who is now suspected in a local bank robbery. The incident occurred at the Bank of America located at 210 Dyckman Street, New York, New York on December 9, 2009.

At about 9:30 a.m., the robber entered the bank, approached a teller, displayed a demand note, made verbal demands, and displayed a black handgun. The teller handed the robber an undisclosed amount of money. The robber then fled the bank on foot heading east on Dyckman Street. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The “Baby Face Bandit” is described as a black male, mid-20s, 6’1”-6’3”, 190-220 lbs, medium build. He wore a black knit hat, black winter jacket, and was carrying a black backpack.

Any information regarding this subject should be immediately reported to the FBI/NYPD Joint Bank Robbery Task Force at (212) 384-5000 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-577-TIPS. There is a reward for information leading to his arrest.

“These are very clear photos. Our hope is that somebody will recognize this man and contact law enforcement,” said Special Agent Richard Kolko.

12/15/2009 – Robbery of US Bank

On Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at approximately 9:25 a.m., a bank robbery occurred at US Bank, 10190 E. Colfax Ave., Aurora, Colorado.

The suspects were described as four black males, early 20’s, wearing all dark clothing.

The suspects all wore masked and were armed with handguns, entered the bank, took money, and fled.

These four bank robbers have been dubbed the “Hopping Hooded Bandits” by the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force for their brazen take over-style bank robbery of hopping over the teller counter while armed.

Two of the banks that have been robbed are offering an additional $5000.00 each for information provided to law enforcement to aid in the apprehension of these individuals.

The suspect is described as a white male, 35-45 years old, 6′1″ to 6′2″, 180 to 200 lbs.

12/11/2009 – Seeking Public’s Assistance in Locating Violent Armed Bank Robber

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a violent armed bank robber who is responsible for the following two Atlanta area bank robberies:

On Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at approximately 9:05 a.m., a lone black male entered the Wachovia Bank, located at 2349 Chesire Bridge Road, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia, and ordered everybody to put their hands up. The robber, who was carrying a black semi-automatic handgun and a black bag approached the first victim teller and demanded money. The first victim teller placed money from her teller drawer into the black bag. Afterwards, the robber approached two additional tellers and demanded money. After receiving money from the two additional tellers, the robber ran out the bank and fled the bank in a gray or silver vehicle.

On Wednesday, December 09, 2009, at approximately 9:10 a.m., a lone black male entered the Wachovia Bank, located at 5425 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Chamblee, Georgia and approached the teller counter. The robber, armed with a handgun, threw two bags over the teller counter and demanded money from the tellers. The robber also threatened to shoot individuals in the bank. After receiving money from the tellers, the robber ran out of the bank.

The robber is described as a black male, 6′0″ – 6′4″, 35 – 45 years old, 220 – 250 lbs, large build, wearing a black trench coat (second robbery) or black blazer (first robbery), white shirt, black gloves, black ski mask, and carrying a black semi-automatic handgun

Wachovia Bank has announced a reward of up to $15,000 in this matter.

12/11/2009 – Seeking Public’s Assistance in Identifying Serial Bank Robber

The FBI is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a serial bank robber thought to be responsible for at least 11 bank robberies, including one in Tulsa today and one in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Thursday.

A white male robbed the Valley National Bank located at 2020 East 21st Street in Tulsa at approximately 10 am Friday. According to witnesses, the man was between 55 and 65 years of age, at least six feet tall, and weighed between 240 and 250 pounds. He was said to be wearing blue jeans, a green flight jacket, black tennis shoes, and black ball cap. A man matching this description also robbed Regions Bank in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Thursday afternoon. That man was last seen driving west out of Fort Smith in a silver SUV bearing an Oklahoma license plate.

The FBI believes this same person is responsible for bank robberies in Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, New York and Virginia.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for these robberies. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at (405) 290-7770.

12/10/2009 – Grandpa Bandit Hits Fourth Bank Thursday

$5,000 Reward Available

The Oregon Financial Institutions Security Task Force (FIST) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a serial bank robbery wanted by the FBI for a series of bank robberies in Salem, Sherwood and now West Linn.

The man, nicknamed the “Grandpa Bandit”, robbed the Bank of America branch located at 19181 Willamette Drive in West Linn on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at about 2:50 pm. He is also suspected in three other robberies:

October 14, 2009 – Key Bank branch located at 750 Lancaster Drive NE in Salem
October 29, 2009 – Bank of America branch located at 3803 Center Street NE in Salem
December 2, 2009 – Bank of America branch located at 15961 SW Tualatin-Sherwood Road in Sherwood

Although he did not show a weapon in today’s robbery, he did imply that he had a weapon. Investigators do believe he threatened to kill a teller and showed a weapon in one of the previous robberies.

12/10/2009 – 20 Questions Bandits Wanted for Four Violent Armed Takeover Bank Robberies in Thousand Oaks, California in 2009

The FBI and detectives with multiple police and sheriff’s departments in Ventura County are seeking the public’s assistance in learning the identity of the “20 Questions Bandits,” the moniker for at least four unidentified men believed to be responsible for four violent, armed takeover bank robberies in Ventura County, California, this year.

During the most recent robbery, which took place at a Bank of America inside a supermarket in the city of Oxnard, the bandits were extremely violent and assaulted employees inside the bank. Bank of America is offering a reward of $10,000 in exchange for information leading to the conviction of the persons responsible for this robbery.

In addition to the distribution of bank surveillance photographs from Monday’s robbery, the FBI is releasing a photograph of two males seen inside the supermarket/bank prior to the robbery. The unidentified men in these photographs are not considered suspects but, based on the investigation thus far, officers and agents believe these men may have information about the bank robbery.

During one robbery believed to have been committed by this group in July of this year at the Bank of America’s Oak Brook Branch, witnesses described four black males armed with guns, who forced the employees and customers in the bank to comply with their demands while they robbed the bank, and in some cases, victims of their personal belongings.

During the four robberies linked to this group, the suspects asked several questions during the robberies, according to witnesses, and were, therefore, nicknamed the “20 Questions Bandits.”

12/10/2009 – Reward Offer Raised in Search for “TCF Bandit”

Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today that a reward of up to $20,000 was now being offered for information leading to the identification of the individual dubbed the “TCF Bandit”, who is believed responsible for the armed robbery of at least eleven (11) Chicago area banks, dating to February of 2007.

The most recent theft occurred on Monday, December 7, when the TCF Bank branch, located at 153 East Schiller in Elmhurst, was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money. As he has done in previous incidents, the robber entered the bank area, approached an employee, and orally announced a robbery. He claimed to be armed with a handgun and threatened the employee with harm if his demands were not met. After receiving bank money, the robber fled on foot, disappearing into the parking lot.

A detailed listing of additional robberies the “TCF Bandit” is suspected of committing is below. No injuries were reported in any of the 11 robberies.

The “TCF Bandit” is described as a white male, 35 – 45 years of age, 5’6 – 5’8” tall, heavy build, with dark hair. He has worn a cap and sunglasses in each of the suspected robberies in an apparent attempt to conceal his identity. He has been given the moniker “TCF Bandit” as nine of the 11 banks he is suspected of robbing were TCF branches. He is believed to be armed with a handgun and should be considered armed and dangerous.

12/9/2009 – Robbery of Bank of Oklahoma in Edmond

Below are new photographs taken from the entry to Homeland which contains the Bank of Oklahoma which was robbed last Friday evening. The photographs show the robber without the obstruction he placed on his face while at the bank.

As a reminder, last Friday at 3:33 p.m., a white male approached a teller at Bank of Oklahoma and said he had a gun. He kept a hand in his pocket to imply he had a weapon although none was seen. The robber covered his face with a small object. He gathered the money in a white plastic grocery sack and exited the store on foot. The robber was inside the store for approximately 25 minutes prior to the robbery. He was last seen walking northbound on the sidewalk from the entrance of the store.

The robber was described as a white male, 50 to 65 years old, 5′9″, 220 lbs., heavy set, grey hair, wearing a tan jacket, brown cloth cowboy hat, and dark pants.

12/9/2009 – Wanted: The High Country Bandits

The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the High Country Bandits, an armed crew who has allegedly committed six bank robberies across Northern Arizona in Heber, Flagstaff, Prescott Valley, Payson, Gold Canyon, and in Pinetop. The unknown male identified as suspect number one points a black semi-automatic handgun at the victim teller(s), and orders them to put their hands up. Suspect number one then demands all the money from the teller drawers. He obtains an undisclosed amount of money, puts it in a bag, orders everyone on the ground, often telling them to “kiss the floor.” He then exits the credit union/bank with a second suspect. In the latest robberies they are seen leaving the bank on a green or maroon 4 wheel ATV with suspect number two driving.

Suspect number one is described as a White male, 30’s – 40’s, approximately 5’3” – 5’6”, slight build, wearing dark clothing, gloves, baseball cap, sunglasses, a facemask that covers at least the lower half of his face, and a bomber style leather jacket. His voice is described as being deep, rough or raspy. There is no description for suspect number two.

12/9/2009 – Robbery of TCF Bank Branch in Bloomington

On Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the TCF Bank located in Cub Foods located at 8423 Lyndale Avenue South, Bloomington, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone male. The robber entered the bank, approached the victim teller, threw a white bag on the counter, and made a verbal demand for cash. He then drew a black semi-automatic handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the wall. After the teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction.

The robber is described as a black male, 45 to 50 years old, approximately 5’6” tall, with a medium to heavy build and a long gray beard. He was wearing a silver-rimmed eyeglasses, a black knit hat, a gray waist length fleece jacket with a white t-shirt or turtleneck underneath, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Man Suspected of Five Bank Heists

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is asking for assistance in identifying the “Billy Goat Bandit.”

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who is now suspected in at least five Houston area bank robberies. The latest occurred at the Wells Fargo located inside the Randall’s Grocery Store located at 11041 Westheimer in Houston, Texas on 12/04/2009. In previous robberies, the robber sported a unique straggly beard with extra long chin hair, earning him the nickname of the “Billy Goat Bandit.” During this most recent robbery, the robber’s chin whiskers were more neatly trimmed.

At about 1:45 p.m., the male entered the Randall’s Store and approached the bank located inside the store. He asked for a withdrawal slip and then produced a note from his coat sleeve. He showed the note to the teller which demanded money in a threatening manner. The teller handed him a small amount of money and the robber fled on foot. No getaway vehicle was observed. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The “Billy Goat Bandit” is described as a black male, mid-20s, 5’10”-6’ tall, with an average build. He had a dark complexion and trimmed goatee. He wore a black baseball cap with an unknown design and a black jacket.

The “Billy Goat Bandit” is suspected in at least four other Houston area robberies: the Woodforest Bank at 12484 Northwest Freeway on 10/16/2009; the First Convenience Bank at 11701 South Sam Houston Parkway on 10/27/2009; the Primeway Federal Credit Union at 9828 Blackhawk on 11/14/2009; and the Wells Fargo at 1407 South Voss on 11/19/2009.

12/8/2009 – Robbery of the PNC Bank

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the PNC Bank branch located at 1511 Walnut Street in Philadelphia earlier today. This subject is believed to be the same individual who is responsible for the robbery of the Firstrust Bank branch at 1901 Walnut Street in Philadelphia yesterday.

At approximately 12:38 p.m., an unidentified male entered the PNC Bank branch and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

The subject is described as a black male in his 40’s, 5′8″ to 5′10″ tall, medium build, dark complexion, now with a freshly-trimmed mustache, with close-cropped hair, wearing a dark overcoat.

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Bank of America, located at 1775 Camino De La Reina, San Diego, California, on Monday, December 7, 2009.

On Monday, December 7, 2009, at approximately 2:55 p.m. the Bank of America branch located at 1775 Camino De La Reina, San Diego, California was robbed by an unknown male.

At the time of the robbery, the robber approached a teller and presented a demand note for cash. After receiving a sum of money, the robber walked out of the bank and was last seen entering a white sports utility vehicle.

The robber is described as follows;

12/7/2009 – Robbery of the Firstrust Bank

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Firstrust Bank branch located at 1901 Walnut Street in Philadelphia earlier today.

At approximately 8:40 a.m., an unidentified male entered the Firstrust Bank branch and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries. The subject is described as a black male in his 40’s, 5′8″ to 5′10″ tall, medium build, dark complexion, with a thin mustache, wearing a tight black knit cap and a large tan or yellow parka with a fur-lined hood.

12/4/2009 – City Sees 15th Bank Robbery

About 4:00 p.m. today, a lone man dubbed the “Hoodie Robber,” walked into the First Savings Bank, 909 North Mesa, El Paso, Texas, and robbed the bank. He approached the first teller window and demanded all the money. While displaying a semiautomatic handgun, he walked to a second and then third teller window, taking all the money. He then told the bank employees to get on the ground and he fled the bank on foot. This is the 15th bank robbery of the year.

Hispanic male, in his 20s
About 5’8”, thin build
Spoke English with no accent
Clothing: Dallas Cowboys cap under a gray hoodie with a black scarf around his face and black gloves. He possibly wore a black jacket on top of the hoodie. He was also wearing jeans and tennis shoes.
Carrying a black, soft-sided briefcase or bag.

12/4/2009 – Robbery of Bank of Oklahoma in Edmond

Below are several photographs taken from today’s robbery of Bank of Oklahoma, located inside Homeland, 1151 N. Bryant (Bryant and Danforth), Edmond, Oklahoma.

For information, today at 3:33 p.m., a white male approached a teller at Bank of Oklahoma and said he had a gun. He kept a hand in his pocket to imply he had a weapon although none was seen. The robber covered his face with a small object. He gathered the money in a white plastic grocery sack and exited the store on foot. The robber was inside the store for approximately 25 minutes prior to the robbery. He was last seen walking northbound on the sidewalk from the entrance of the store.

The robber was described as a white male, 50 to 65 years old, 5′9″, 220 lbs., heavy set, grey hair, wearing a tan jacket, brown cloth cowboy hat, and dark pants.

CAUTION

On June 27, 2007, at approximately 8:05 a.m., a bank teller was working at her bank in Kansas City, Missouri, when she observed the bank manager approaching the outside front door. The teller observed a man, later identified as Marlon Larry, running towards the bank manager. The manager pushed him away and attempted to enter the bank. Then, Larry allegedly struck the bank manager in the head with a handgun. After a teller attempted to move towards the alarm button, Larry instructed everyone to get on the floor. It is alleged he told two tellers to open the cash vault. Their attempts failed and Larry settled for money from the teller’s drawer. The money was placed in a black plastic garbage bag which Larry had brought into the bank. After allegedly retrieving the money, Larry had three bank employees crawl to an office and stay on the floor. Before leaving the bank, Larry asked for and received car keys from a bank employee. After which, Larry allegedly said, “Don’t call the police for five minutes or I’ll come back tomorrow and kill you all.” He then exited the bank.

On June 29, 2007, Larry was charged with armed bank robbery, and a federal arrest warrant was issued in the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri.

$83 Bandit Strikes Again

The Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a serial bank robber dubbed the $83 Bandit. The bank robber is suspected of committing at least nine (9) bank robberies in the Denver area since March 2009. The most recent bank robbery was on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, around 3:00 p.m., at the UMB Bank, 707 Colorado Boulevard, Denver, Colorado. He was wearing a white t-shirt and an “Indiana Jones” style hat (see attached photos).

The $83 Bandit typically enters the bank and presents a bank robbery demand note. No weapon has been observed by the witnesses, but he has previously threatened a weapon in his demand note. Once the teller complies with the demand, the $83 Bandit takes the stolen money and flees the bank. No vehicle information is known at the time of this press release.

Witnesses describe him as having bad teeth or at least a bad front tooth. The surveillance photographs attached depict the $83 Bandit in some of the earlier bank robberies and the December 1st robbery.

Three Masked Bandits Rob Bank of the West

On Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at approximately 5:28 p.m., three masked men armed with handguns entered the Bank of the West located at 7995 East Hamden Avenue, Denver, Colorado. They took over the bank by pointing their guns at customers and employees and ordering them to kneel or not to move. One robber vaulted the teller counter where he proceeded to steal cash. The three exited the bank, dropping cash along the way, and fled toward the area of a nearby apartment building. Investigators believe they may have entered a get-a-way vehicle and fled the area with the remaining cash. No vehicle description is available.

All three robbers had on a hoodie and had a mask or something similar covering their faces. They were all described as “young,” possibly being in their late teens or early 20’s. The following descriptions are based on witnesses and surveillance photographs:

12/2/2009 – Grandpa Bandit Suspected of Third Robbery

$5,000 Reward Offered

The man, nicknamed the “Grandpa Bandit,” robbed the Bank of American branch located at 15961 SW Tualatin-Sherwood Road in Sherwood on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at about 3:40 p.m. He is also suspected in two other robberies: the Key Bank branch located at 750 Lancaster Drive NE Salem on October 14th and the Bank of America branch located at 3803 Center Street NE in Salem on October 29th. Although he did not show a weapon in today’s robbery, investigators do believe he threatened to kill a teller and showed a weapon in one of the previous robberies.

12/2/2009 – FBI and San Diego Sheriff’s Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify North Island Credit Union Robber

The FBI and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the North Island Credit Union, located at 1101 Palm Avenue, Imperial Beach, California, on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. This same individual is believed responsible for robbing this same credit union on November 6, 2009.

On Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at approximately 10:00 a.m. the North Island Credit Union, located at 1101 Palm Avenue, Imperial Beach, California was robbed by an unknown male.

At the time of the robbery, the robber approached two tellers and presented a demand note for cash. The demand note threatened that the robber was armed with a weapon. The robber also made a verbal demand for cash. The robber ordered the tellers to place the money inside of two blue merchant deposit bags that he brought with him to the bank. After placing the money inside of the two blue merchant deposit bags, the robber walked out of the bank.

11/25/2009 – Seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man and women who robbed the 1st Convenience Bank

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man and women who robbed the 1st Convenience Bank located inside a Kroger at 1505 Wirt in Houston, Texas earlier today.

At approximately 12:55 p.m., the couple entered the Kroger and proceeded to the bank located inside. Both approached the teller, but it was the woman who handed the teller a threatening note which demanded money. The teller turned over some cash. The robbers fled the area and were last seen running across the Kroger parking lot and across Wirt Road. No one was physically hurt during the robbery. The bank’s surveillance cameras captured some photographs of the couple during the robbery.

The female robber is described as a black female, 20-25 years old, 5’3”- 5’7”, with an average build. She wore a dark baseball cap, blue and white jacket, white shirt, dark pants, and large sunglasses with white frames. The male robber is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5’8”-5’9”, with a slim to medium build and a dark complexion. He wore a dark baseball cap, blue striped shirt and dark pants.

11/27/2009 – Robbery of the Wachovia Bank in Norcross, Georgia

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, along with the Gwinnett County Police Department, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a serial bank robber who robbed the Wachovia Bank, Holcomb Corners, Norcross, Georgia, today.

On Friday, November 27, 2009, at approximately 12:42 p.m., a lone black male, wearing a black motorcycle helmet, leather jacket, and a police badge around his neck, entered the Wachovia Bank, Holcomb Corners, Norcross, Georgia, and verbally announced a bank robbery to a bank teller while threatening a weapon. The robber departed the bank without incident, having obtained an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber was described as being a light skinned black male, late thirties in age, 5’8”-5’10” in height, approximately 175 lbs., wearing a black motorcycle helmet, dark sunglasses, black leather jacket, a black shirt with white letters possibly with “Police” on front, wearing a silver law enforcement badge around his neck.

The above robber is possibly injured from an exploding dye pack. He is also believed to be responsible for a similar bank robbery in Sandy Springs, Georgia last month and was observed departing in a black two door Infiniti at that robbery.

11/30/2009 – Seeking the Public’s Assistance with Two Bank Robberies Today Committed by the Same Subject

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the attempted robbery of the Sovereign Bank branch located at 2701 South 10th Street and the robbery of the Wachovia Bank branch located at 1246 East Hunting Park Avenue in Philadelphia earlier today.

At approximately 9:25 a.m., an unidentified male entered the Sovereign Bank branch and verbally threatened an employee, indicating that he was armed with a gun. The subject fled the bank, however, before obtaining any cash from the bank, and was seen heading eastbound on Oregon Avenue on foot. About two hours later the same subject entered the Wachovia Bank branch at approximately 11:22 a.m. and again made threatening demands for cash to a teller and indicating that he was armed. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot in an unknown direction.

The subject is described as a black male in his 30’s, 6’0” tall, approximately 250 pounds with a heavy or husky build, a large bushy afro, possibly a wig, and several days’ worth of beard growth. The subject was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and was carrying a shoulder bag. He may also have a scar or scab on his forehead above the bridge of his nose.

11/30/2009 – Armored Car Robbery Today

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject or subjects responsible for the armed robbery of an armored car in Philadelphia earlier today.

At approximately 11:05 a.m., a Garda armored car was making a delivery to the PNC Bank branch located at 4th and Tabor Streets. The armored car courier had exited the vehicle with the delivery, and was headed towards the entrance of the bank when he was approached by an armed subject. The subject forcibly took the delivery from the Garda courier and fled the area in a brown or bronze older model sedan with a “square” back, driven by a different unidentified male. The car was last seen heading westbound on Tabor Street and then southbound on 5th Street.

The armed subject is described as a black male, with a light complexion, mid 20’s to early 30’s, 5’9” tall, thin build, with a long beard, wearing a hat and a brown leather jacket with a cream-colored or white sheepskin lining. The subject was armed with some type of assault rifle.

11/25/2009 – Masked Bank Robber Strikes Again

Michael S. Welch, Special Agent in Charge of the Indianapolis Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying, locating, and arresting a serial bank robber. A $5,000 reward continues to be offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual responsible for robbing three Indianapolis area banks since October 30, 2009.

On November 25, 2009, at approximately 9:35 a.m., a lone black male, wearing a mask and bulky clothing and armed with a silver colored handgun, robbed the Fifth Third Bank located at 3515 East 96th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. After entering the bank, the robber ordered the customers and employees to the ground and helped himself to an undisclosed amount of United States currency. He left the bank parking lot driving an Oldsmobile Alero, maroon in color. Surveillance photographs of good quality were obtained.

This same individual is believed to have robbed the Flagstar Bank, 5610 East 71st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, on October 30, 2009 and the Key Bank, 2433 Lake Circle Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 13, 2009. The subject wore the same mask and clothing during all three robberies.

The bank robber is described as a black male, 5’9” – 5’10”, 160 – 180 pounds, average build and dark complexion. The subject should be considered armed and dangerous.

11/24/2009 – Public’s Help Sought in Search for “Ridge-Road Robber”

Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual who is believed responsible for at least one bank robbery in the southwest suburban area.

The robbery occurred on August 28th of this year at the Chase Bank branch, located at 3115 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois. At the time of the robbery, witnesses reported observing a black male enter the bank. He waited in line until a teller became available. When he approached the teller line, he gave the teller a note which demanded money. He gave the teller a small blue bag and orally instructed the teller to fill it with cash from her teller drawer. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the bank on foot. There were no injuries reported in this robbery.

Witnesses described the robber as a 30-year-old black male, approximately 6 feet tall with a large build. He was wearing a green and tan floppy style hat and similar colored polo shirt.

He has been given the moniker of the “Ridge Road Robber” because police believe that this robber may be responsible for the robbery of another Chase Bank branch, also located on Ridge Road, in Munster, Indiana.

11/24/2009 – Seeking Information on Savannah Bank Robbery

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, along with the Savannah Chatham County Police Department, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individuals responsible for today’s armed robbery of the following Savannah, Georgia bank:

On Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at approximately 9:00 a.m., three black males, all armed with and displaying handguns, entered the Wachovia Bank, located at 3507 West Bay Street, Savannah, Georgia. During the robbery, one of the robbers went behind the tell counter, taking money out of one of the teller stations and placing it in a black satchel that he had with him. The robbers departed the bank without further incident having obtained an undisclosed amount money. The robbers were seen getting into a late 1980’s model white Buick with a Georgia license plate and proceeding east on Bay Street.

The robbers were described as being black males, 25 years old or younger. Two of the robbers were 5’8”-5’9” in height, the third was 5’3”-5’5” in height. All were wearing blue zip up style jump suits, displaying handguns (possibly revolvers), and wearing gloves and masks.

Lone Male Robs Houston Credit UnionThe Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the Plus4 Credit Union located at 401 Franklin in Houston, Texas this morning.At approximately 7:15 a.m., the man entered the bank and pulled out a black semi-automatic pistol. He pointed it at the two tellers behind the counter and aggressively demanded cash. The tellers handed the man some cash. He was last seen leaving the bank on foot. 11/20/2009 – Young Man Robs Houston Wachovia Bank Branch

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a young man, possibly a teen, who robbed the Wachovia Bank located at 13560 I-10 East in Houston, Texas earlier today.

At approximately 12 p.m., the man entered the bank alone and waited his turn to approach the teller counter. Once it was his turn, he handed the teller a demand note. The teller gave him some cash. The robber got away on foot, running west bound. No weapon was observed by the tellers. No one was physically hurt during the robbery. The bank’s surveillance cameras captured some photographs of the subject during the robbery.

The robber is described as a white male, 19-20 years old, 5’’10”- 6’, and 170-180 pounds. He wore a black baseball style hat, dark jacket, and light colored jeans.

Wanted: The First Aid Bandit

PHOENIX, AZ—The FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force, Phoenix Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying The First Aid Bandit. He has allegedly robbed a total of four banks.

The unknown male approaches the teller counter displaying a handgun and verbally demands money.He takes the money and flees the bank on foot.

The unknown male is described as a white or Hispanic male, mid 30s, 5’8’, 180 lbs., medium build, black mustache (possibly fake), black hair and acne or burn scars.The unknown male has been seen in most of the robberies with cuts or scars on his nose and on the left and right side of his face. In every robbery, the unknown male is wearing a gauze bandage on different areas of his face, sometimes with blood seeping through. It is possible the cuts and scars are not real.

Seeking Public’s Assistance to Identify Armed Bank Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Chase Bank, located at 16861 Bernardo Center Drive, San Diego, California, on Wednesday, November 18, 2009.

On Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at approximately 12:40 p.m. the Chase Bank, located at 16861 Bernardo Center Drive, San Diego, California was robbed by an unknown male.

At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a ski mask covering his lower face. The robber approached an open teller window at which time he was told by a bank employee to remove his mask. The robber ignored the employee, made a verbal demand for cash and displayed a silver colored semi-automatic pistol. The robber threw a plastic zip-lock type bag on the counter and ordered the teller to place money inside of the bag. After receiving a sum of money, the robber ran out of the bank through the same door he entered.

11/17/09 Seeking Information on Bank Robbery in Coons Rapid

On Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at approximately 10:20 am, the Klein Bank located at 3070 Coon Rapids Boulevard NW, Coon Rapids, Minnesota, was robbed by two males, one of whom was armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun. The robbers entered the bank and verbally announced that the bank was being robbed. After threatening the tellers with the handgun, both robbers walked behind the counter and retrieved cash from multiple teller drawers. After grabbing the cash, the robbers fled the bank on foot.

The first robber is described as a white male in his early 20’s or late teens, approximately 5’4” – 5’6” tall with a thin build and a tattoo on his neck. He was wearing a dark clothing, a red bandana covering his face, and white gloves.

The second robber is described as a black male in his early 20’s or late teens, approximately 5’ 4” – 5’ 6” tall with a thin build. He was also wearing a dark clothing with a red bandana pulled up over his face, and white gloves. He carried the silver semi-automatic handgun.

11/17/09 Seeking Information on Bank Robbery in Columbia Heights

On Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at approximately 2:00 pm, the US Bank located at 5250 Central Avenue, Columbia Heights, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone male. The robber entered the bank and presented a note to the victim teller informing her that the bank was being robbed. After the teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the bank on foot.

The robber is described as a mixed race male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, approximately 6’ tall with a stocky build, brown eyes, and freckles. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over a dark knit cap and blue jeans.

November 19, 2009 – THREE MASKED INDIVIDUALS ROB NATIONAL CITY BANK

Michael S. Welch, Special Agent in Charge of the Indianapolis Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three individuals responsible for robbing the National City Bank, 1259 South High School Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. National City Bank personnel have offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for robbing their west side branch.

On November 19, 2009, at approximately 9:20 a.m., three armed males robbed the National City Bank located at 1259 South High School Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. The subjects entered the bank, ordered the employees and customers to the floor, vaulted the teller counter and demanded money. The subjects were dressed in black clothing and armed with handguns. After receiving an undisclosed amount of United States currency, the robbers fled the bank in a red mini van.

11/17/2009 – FBI and Local Law Enforcement Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify the “Geezer Bandit” Serial Bank Robber

The FBI and local law enforcement agencies are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male bank robber who has been named the “Geezer Bandit.” The “Geezer Bandit” is believed responsible for robbing five banks in San Diego County. Three different rewards, totaling $16,000 are being offered for information leading the arrest and conviction of the “Geezer Bandit.”

The most recent robbery in this series is believed to have occurred yesterday, Monday, November 16, 2009, with the robbery of the Bank of America, located at 7680 Girard Avenue, La Jolla, California.

On Monday, November 16, 2009, at approximately 5:57 p.m., a man believed to be the “Geezer Bandit” approached a teller at the Bank of America, located at 7680 Girard Avenue, La Jolla, California, displayed a handgun and made a verbal demand for cash. The teller provided a sum of money and the robber fled the bank on foot.

The “Geezer Bandit” is believed to be responsible for robbing the following San Diego County banks.

FBI and San Diego Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Robber Wearing Surgical Mask

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Bank Of America, located at 11190 East Ocean Air Drive, San Diego, California, on Friday, November 13, 2009.

On Friday, November 13, 2009, at approximately 10:50 a.m. the Bank Of America branch located at 11190 East Ocean Air Drive, San Diego, California, was robbed by an unknown male.

At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank and walked to an island counter in the bank lobby. The robber then approached the first of four tellers that he would rob. The robber announced that he was there to rob the teller, displayed a weapon in his waistband, and presented an envelope with a demand note on top of the white envelope. The robber then proceeded down the teller row, handing each teller an envelope to place cash inside of the envelope. The robber collected the envelopes containing money from each teller, exited the bank, and was last seen walking eastbound on East Ocean Air Drive. Witnesses describe the robber wearing a surgical mask with the numbers and letters “H1N1.”

Robbery of Bank of the West

Below are several photographs taken from today’s robbery of Bank of the West, 5757 NW Expressway, Warr Acres, Oklahoma. Also, two photographs of the vehicle used by the robber are below.

For information, today at 12:18 p.m., a lone white male entered the bank and demanded money. He implied he had a weapon although none was seen. He gathered the money in a paper sack from Crest Foods and departed in a black Geo Tracker. The vehicle was last seen traveling west on NW Expressway.

The robber is described as a white male, in his late 30’s or early 40’s, 6′0″, slender, 160 lbs., dark complected, wearing a tan Carhartt type jacket, red knit hat, blue jeans, clear protective glasses, fake large front teeth, and dark boots. He fled in a 4 door Geo Tracker SUV.

The investigation of the robbery is being conducted by the FBI and Warr Acres Police Department.

FBI Seeking Armed Bank Robber who Robbed Two Banks in Four Days

The FBI Houston Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man believed responsible for robbing two area banks within four days.

The most recent robbery occurred on Saturday, at the Chase Bank located at 12214 Jones Road in Houston. At approximately noon, a lone black male entered the bank and approached the teller counter. He presented a note announcing that he was committing a robbery and then displayed a handgun to the teller. Once he obtained the cash, he fled the bank in an unknown direction.

Witnesses describe the robber as a black male, 25-30 years old, 5’05”-5’08” tall, 150-170 pounds, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, a gray sweatshirt with a hood, and a distinctive black tee shirt with writing on the front.

The same man is believed responsible for the robbery of the Chase Bank at 1490 Eldridge Parkway on November 10. He also wore a very distinctive tee shirt during that robbery. Witnesses to the November 10 robbery saw the man fleeing the scene in an older model white Dodge Durango SUV.

$5,000 Reward for “Fantasia” Bandit

Investigators Believe He’s Responsible for Nine Robberies

The Oregon Financial Institutions Security Task Force is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a series of six bank robberies in Portland. Investigators have dubbed the man the “Fantasia Bandit” because he has also robbed a Fantasy for Adults Only store twice. He’s also believed responsible for a ninth robbery at a Dotty’s in North Portland. The robberies started in late September.

11/17/2009 – Attempted Robbery of the Bank of America Today

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the attempted robbery of the Bank of America branch located at 1841 East Allegheny Avenue earlier today.

At approximately 1:35 p.m., an unidentified male entered the branch and presented threatening demand note to a teller. The subject fled the bank, however, before obtaining any cash, and was last seen heading eastbound on foot on Allegheny Avenue. The subject is described as a white male in his mid 30’s, thin or skinny build, with a closely cropped thin beard and mustache, wearing a black knit wool cap, dark sunglasses, a plaid flannel jacket or heavy lined shirt, and blue jeans.

11/13/2009 – $5,000 Reward Offered in Search for Unknown Bank Robber

Michael S. Welch, Special Agent in Charge of the Indianapolis Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced today that a reward of $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of an individual responsible for robbing two banks in Indianapolis, Indiana.

On October 30, 2009, at approximately 10:35 a.m., a lone black male, wearing a mask and bulky clothing and armed with a silver colored handgun, robbed the Flagstar Bank located at 5610 East 71st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. After receiving an undisclosed amount of United States currency, the robber fled the bank in a blue Ford Taurus with tinted windows. Surveillance photographs of good quality were obtained.

On November 13, 2009, at approximately 9:45 a.m., the same black male robbed the Key Bank located at 2433 Lake Circle Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana. The subject wore the same mask and clothing during this robbery. The subject was again armed with a silver handgun. Again, after receiving an undisclosed amount of United States currency, the robber fled the bank in a blue Ford Taurus.

Based upon the modus operandi, as well as the physical description, it is believed that both bank robberies were committed by the same individual. The subject is described as a black male, 5’9” – 5’10”, 160 – 180 pounds, average build and dark complexion.

11/13/2009 – First of Two Chase Banks Robbed in Same Afternoon

The FBI Houston Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the Chase Bank at 1490 Eldridge Parkway on November 10. In a case not believed to be related to this one, the Chase Bank at 6015 Hillcroft was robbed this same afternoon at approximately 5:30 p.m.

In the first robbery, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a lone black male entered the bank and approached the teller counter. He displayed a note announcing that he was robbing the bank and that he was carrying a pistol. The teller handed over some cash, and the man fled the bank. He was seeing leaving the area in an older model white Dodge Durango SUV.

Witnesses describe the robber as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5’06”-5’07” tall, thin build, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black tee shirt with red lettering, and black pants.

11/13/2009 – Bank Robber Point Tech Nine Pistol at Tellers

The FBI Houston Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the Chase Bank at 6015 Hillcroft on November 10th.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., a lone black male entered the bank and waited in the teller line. When called up to a window, he threw a paper bag onto the teller counter and displayed a Tech Nine semi-automatic pistol. He demanded money, and the tellers complied with his demands. The robber then immediately fled the bank. It is not known if he escaped on foot or in a vehicle.

Witnesses describe him as a black male, 45-50 years old, 6’04”to 6’05” tall, 230 pounds, stocky build, wearing a khaki hat, khaki shirt, jeans, and white framed sunglasses.

Bronx Bomber Fan is Also a Bold Bank Robber

NEWARK, NJ—In a brazen bank robbery today that occurred at the TD Bank located at 341 Essex Street, Hackensack, New Jersey at approximately 12:19 p.m., the robber walked into the bank, calmly handed the teller a note demanding money, and walked out with an envelope containing an undisclosed amount of money. Apparently, he did not notice or care about the bank surveillance cameras, which captured unusually clear images of him (below).

The robber is described as a white male, late 20’s to early 30’s, unshaven, wearing a blue New York Yankees baseball hat, a dark pullover sweatshirt with an image on the front, and baggy jeans. He was seen getting into a silver SUV with New Jersey tags.

The Hackensack Police Department, Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI responded.

Requesting Public’s Assistance in Locating Two Armed Bank Robbers

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two armed bank robbers who robbed the Regions Bank, located at 4421 North Henry Boulevard, Stockbridge, Georgia, today, Tuesday, November 10, 2009.

On November 10, 2009, at about 3:55 p.m., two black males brandishing handguns entered the bank and announced a robbery. At one point, one of the robbers, while displaying a black semi auto handgun, jumped the teller counter in furtherance of the robbery. The robbers, after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, exited the bank and were observed departing the bank’s parking lot in a newer model silver Pontiac Grand Prix. They were later observed getting into a white Ford Bronco.

The first robber is described as being a black male, early/mid 30’s in age, 5’7”-5’8” in height, dark complexion, wearing a brown or dark red hooded jacket, blue jeans, and displaying a black semi auto handgun.

The second robber is described as being a black male, early/mid 30’s in age, 6’0” in height, slender build, dark complexion, wearing a black hat, black partial face ski mask, black/dark blue jacket, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, displaying a semi auto handgun, possibly silver in color.

Seeking the Public’s Assistance to Locate Bank Robbery Fugitive Kenneth Pagan

The FBI’s Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to locate Kenneth Pagan, who has been charged in Philadelphia with the robbery of the Beneficial Bank branch located at 826 East Allegheny Avenue on November 4, 2009. Pagan is also a suspect in the robbery of the same branch yesterday.

Pagan is described as a Hispanic male, 38 years of age, 5’7” tall, and 175 pounds. He is known to live in and frequent the Kensington area of Philadelphia, and used a mountain-bike style bicycle to escape during the robbery yesterday.

Pagan is considered armed and dangerous. There is a reward being offered for information leading to his apprehension, and tipsters may remain anonymous. Anyone with information about his potential whereabouts is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department.

At approximately 6:10 p.m., the lone white male entered the bank and approached the teller station. He pulled out a small black semi-automatic pistol and said to the teller, “You know what this is.” The teller became very nervous and began fumbling for her drawer. She mistakenly pulled out an empty drawer, and explained that she had the wrong drawer and had to get the other drawer out. The suspect became upset that the process was taking too long, and turned around and walked out of the bank.

The would-be robber is described by witnesses as a white male, 28-35 years old, 5’3”-5’6” tall, slender build, light complexion, with brown hair. He was wearing sunglasses on top of his head, a dark colored long sleeved shirt, and blue jeans.

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a bank robber who is responsible for the following Savannah, Georgia bank.

On Saturday, 11/07/09, at approximately 1:04 p.m., a lone black male entered the Bank of America located at 14083 Abercorn Street, Savannah, Georgia 31419. This person entered the building and stood in line at the teller counter that was closest to the exit door. A demand note was presented to the teller. The robber departed the bank without further incident, having obtained an undisclosed amount of money.

The bank robber was described as a black male, medium complexion, late twenties to early thirties, 6′0″-6′2″, 190lbs, wearing green Reebok shoes, green sweat pants, multi colored green jacket and a black skull cap.

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Citizens Bank branch located at 7248 Rising Sun Avenue yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 2:50 p.m. yesterday, an unidentified male entered the branch and presented threatening demand note to a teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled on foot and was last seen headed southbound on Rising Sun Avenue. The subject is described as a black male in his late 30’s, 6’1” to 6’2” tall, medium build, with a closely cropped salt-and-pepper mustache and beard, wearing a black or dark baseball cap with the New York Yankees “NY” logo on the front, a light-colored button-down shirt with vertical stripes, and a tan jacket with a darker collar and lining. There were no injuries as a result of the robbery.

This is the same subject who is believed to be responsible for the robbery of the PNC Bank branch located at 6705 Rising Sun Avenue on October 27, 2009, and the robbery of the Bank of America Branch located at 6425 Rising Sun Avenue on October 27, 2009.

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the TD Bank branch located at 217 West Lehigh Avenue earlier today.

At approximately 12:53 p.m. today, the unidentified male entered the branch and presented threatening demand note to a teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled on foot and was last seen headed northbound on American Street. The subject is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, 6’0” tall, approximately 200 pounds with a heavy build, bald or shaven head, with a closely cropped mustache and beard, wearing dark sunglasses, a black or dark heavy hooded sweatshirt with a grey lining and blue jeans. The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the North Island Credit Union, located at 1101 Palm Avenue, Imperial Beach, California, on Friday, November 6, 2009.

On Friday, November 6, 2009, at approximately 10:45 a.m., an unknown male entered the North Island Credit Union, located at 1101 Palm Avenue, Imperial Beach, California. At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank, feigning to be talking on a cell phone. The robber approached the teller, presented a demand note, and displayed a handgun. The teller complied with the robber’s demand note, and provided a sum of money to the robber. The robber fled the bank, on foot, in an unknown direction.

11/5/2009 – Armored Car Robbery in Jenkintown

The Philadelphia Division of the FBI and the Abington Township Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subjects responsible for the armed robbery of an armored car earlier today in front of a bank branch located at 710 Old York Road in Jenkintown (Abington Township).

At approximately 9:40 a.m., the armored car was making a delivery to the bank at that address and the courier was removing the delivery from the vehicle. A light blue or silver mini-van pulled up to the armored car and the rear passenger-side door opened to reveal two unidentified subjects wearing masks. One of the subjects was armed with a shotgun and the other was armed with a handgun. The subjects pointed the weapons at the courier and demanded the delivery. After providing the delivery bag to the subjects in the van, the van sped off headed southbound on Old York Road towards Easton and Highland Roads. The van, which has an unknown Pennsylvania license plate, had dark tinted rear windows and the rear seats removed. A third subject, described only as a black male who was not wearing a mask, was driving the van.

There were no injuries, and no shots were fired in the robbery. 11/5/2009 – Busy Day for Bank Robberies

NEWARK, NJ—FBI bank robbery agents were kept busy Tuesday, November 3, with two simultaneous bank robbery jobs in Bergen County. The first was a robbery attempt that occurred at Bank of America, 210 Route 17, Mahwah, New Jersey at approximately 11:45 a.m. Both FBI agents and Mahwah police responded. The robber, who used a demand note, was apprehended by Mahwah Police.

As FBI agents were responding to the Mahwah robbery, they received word of a separate, unrelated, takeover-style robbery at the Wachovia Bank located at 1 Johnson Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey that occurred approximately at noon time. The robbers were described as thin, black males, one being 5’7” to 5’11”, the other being 5’5” to 5’10”, wearing hooded sweatshirts, black gloves, and dark pants, ranging in age from late 20’s to about 45 years old. Both displayed black handguns. One robber jumped over the teller counter and threatened the life of the teller. The second robber remained on the customer side of the counter. After emptying more than one teller drawer, the robber who vaulted the counter jumped back to the other side and both robbers fled the scene, possibly in a stolen dark colored van. No one was injured in the robbery.

Robbery of the Beneficial Bank

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Beneficial Bank branch located at 826 East Allegheny Avenue earlier today.

At just before noon today, the unidentified male entered the branch and presented threatening demand note to a teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled on foot headed eastbound on Allegheny Avenue and then northbound on H Street. The subject is described as a Hispanic male in his mid 30’s, 5”6” to 5’8” tall, medium build, with a mustache, wearing a dark baseball cap with a “P” on the front, a light blue t-shirt and a dark blue jacket. The subject’s skin and/or clothes may possibly be stained.

Requesting Public’s Assistance in Identifying and Locating Serial Robber

Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, requests the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a serial bank robber, dubbed the “Granddad Bandit,” who has robbed in at least seven states to date.

Beginning on April 10, 2009, in Houston, Texas, an unknown white male, approximate age between 50-60 years old, began a bank robbery spree that has taken him to Georgia, Virginia, Arkansas, Alabama, New York, and Florida. His robberies are described as being calm, with a deliberate attempt to not attract attention to himself. The robber quietly presents a demand note to the victim teller and thereafter departs the bank without disruption to normal banking business going on around him.

FBI Seeks Public’s Help in Identifying Bank Robber

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is releasing a photograph from a bank robbery that occurred last Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Chase Bank, 4451 NW 36th Street, Miami Springs, Florida at 11:05 a.m. A man wearing a motorcycle helmet, dark jacket with stripes, and dark pants walked into the bank holding a silver handgun and a bag. He walked around the bank pointing the gun at customers and employees. He eventually settled on holding the gun at one customer’s head, demanding money or else he would kill him. After money was put in a bag, the robber left the bank and fled in a silver mini van with tinted windows driven by an accomplice.

Seeking Information on Tucker, Georgia Bank Robbers

Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, requests the public’s assistance regarding information in today’s armed robbery of the Suntrust Bank, located at 3603 Chamblee Tucker Road, Tucker, Georgia.

On Monday, November 2, 2009, at approximately 10:16 a.m., two black males entered the Suntrust Bank, 2603 Chamblee Tucker Road, Tucker, Georgia, and announced a bank robbery. At least one of the robbers brandished a black semi automatic handgun. At one point during the robbery, one of the robbers placed the gun to the head of a bank customer and moments later pointed the gun directly at a bank teller. During this take-over style robbery, a bank employee was pulled from a side office and was shot in the leg.

The first robber is described as a being a black male, 6’0” -6’2” in height, slender build, facial hair, possibly wearing a wig, ballcap, and a distinctive orange long-sleeved shirt. The second robber is described as being a black male, 5’8” in height, stocky build. Both individuals, estimated to be in their late 20s or early 30s, were seen initially departing the bank on foot, crossing the main avenue in front of the bank, and getting into a black or dark blue mini van.

FBI And Cottonwood Heights Police Request Public’s Help in Locating Second “Jaguar Bank Robber”

Special Agent in Charge, Timothy J. Fuhrman of the FBI Salt Lake City FBI Field Office, and Chief Robby Russo of the Cottonwood Heights Police Department are requesting the public’s help in locating a second subject involved in a bank robbery. The subject is 31-year old Alejandro Torres, a.k.a. “Casper” (DOB 1/15/78).

Torres has been at large since the September 30, 2009 robbery of the Mountain America Credit Union at 6440 South 3000 East in Cottonwood Heights. FBI special agents and detectives of the Cottonwood Heights Police Department apprehended one subject, Jose Miguel Almarez, shortly after the robbery. Investigators believe Torres also took part in the robbery. Both Almarez and Torres have been indicted on federal charges for the robbery.

According to a federal criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court of Utah, on September 30, 2009 the credit union was robbed by two males. The complaint states the robbers wore masks, brandished handguns, ordered everyone to the floor and demanded cash. Bank employees say the robbers drove away in a silver Jaguar.

Later that day, a citizen read about the crime on a local news website and remembered seeing someone in silver Jaguar throw a bag of clothing into a dumpster at an apartment complex in Murray. The citizen contacted law enforcement. Police found the clothing and it appeared to match the outfits worn by the robbers.

Officers with the Cottonwood Heights Police Department and special agents with the FBI were waiting by the apartment dumpster when a silver Jaguar pulled in. Jose Miguel Almarez was taken into custody as he left the vehicle. Almarez stated he lived nearby and consented to a search of his car and apartment. According to the complaint, a search of the apartment turned up two handguns that appear to match the description of the weapons used in the robbery. A large amount of cash was also recovered.

11/2/2009 – Woman with No Disguise Robs Local Bank

Last week the U.S. Bank branch located inside the Safeway grocery store at 4040 Manzanita Avenue in Carmichael was robbed by a middle aged woman wearing a black trench coat and clear eyeglasses. Making no attempt to conceal her identity the woman walked into the bank and tossed a note to one of the tellers demanding money. Although no weapon was observed the note indicated the robber had a gun and would use it if necessary.

The teller put money in a large black leather type purse the robber had placed on the counter. The robber then grabbed the purse and fled the store.

The suspect is described as a white female with brown hair, 54 to 58 years old, around 5′7″ to 5′8″, and weighing 200 pounds.

The robbery occurred on October 28, 2009, at 3:37 in the afternoon.

This case is being investigated by the Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force (SVCTF), comprised of FBI agents and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Robbery Detectives. 10/30/2009 – Seeking Information on Knoxville Bank Robber

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief Sterling P. Owen, IV of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed a Knoxville bank this morning.

At approximately 9:48 a.m., a man entered the Bank of America branch located at 9375 Kingston Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee. After presenting a note and gesturing as if he had a weapon in his pocket, the suspect obtained an undetermined amount of money and fled the scene on foot.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s, with close cropped black hair, approximately 6’ tall, and weighing approximately 200 pounds. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a white tee shirt, and a red or maroon wind breaker jacket.

Wachovia Bank Robbed, Getaway Car Recovered

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man who robbed the Wachovia Bank at 235 W. 20th Street in Houston on Tuesday afternoon. His getaway car was recovered one block away from the robbery about an hour later.

At about 3:10 p.m., a lone black male entered the bank and approached the teller counter. He held up a note which indicated that he had a gun and he wanted money. The teller gave him some loose cash. He then left the bank and was seen getting into a green Ford F-150 pickup that was driven by another unknown person. The vehicle was recovered at an apartment complex located one block away from the bank about an hour later. Additional investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen earlier that afternoon from a subdivision in North Harris County.

Witnesses described the robber as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5’5” tall, 150 pounds, slender build, clean-shaven with sideburns. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black tee shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes.

“Billy Goat Bandit” Sports Extra Long Chin Hair During Hold-Up

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the First Convenience Bank located inside the Kroger Store at 11701 South Sam Houston Parkway in Houston, Texas on Tuesday afternoon. The robber sported a unique straggly beard with extra long chin hair, earning him the nickname of the “Billy Goat Bandit.”

At about 4:05p.m., the male entered the Kroger Store and approached the bank located inside the store. He showed the teller a note, but the teller was unable to read the note because the bank robber’s hands covered the wording. Frustrated, the bank robber proclaimed “I am a robber. Give me the money!” The teller turned over some cash. The robber was last seen walking across the Kroger parking lot. No getaway vehicle was observed. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The “Billy Goat Bandit” is described as a black male, 25-30 years-old, 5’9” tall, with an average build. He had a dark complexion and a unique straggly beard with extra long chin hair. He wore a dark blue baseball cap, a white tee-shirt, and grey pants with a dark blue strip down the leg.

Older, Well Dressed Man Robs Bank of America Branch

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a well-dressed and neatly groomed man who robbed the Bank of America branch at 6310 North Eldridge Parkway in Houston, Texas earlier today.

At about 9:48 a.m., the man entered the bank alone. He approached the teller counter and took the teller by surprise when he demanded she fill his blue plastic shopping bag with cash. When the teller hesitated, he aggressively repeated the demand. The teller complied and the robber quietly and calmly exited the bank on foot. No getaway vehicle was observed. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The robber is described as a black male, 55 plus years-old, approximately 6’1” tall, 180-190 pounds with a dark complexion and a medium build. He was described as well-dressed and neatly groomed. He wore a long-sleeved, black collared and shirt with a Kongol hat and a nice watch. He also had a neatly trimmed full grey beard.

Seeking Information on Serial Bank Robber

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the PNC Bank located at 6705 Rising Sun Avenue yesterday at approximately 12:30 p.m., and the robbery of the Bank of America branch located at 6425 Rising Sun Avenue at approximately 1:45 p.m. today.

In both robberies, the unidentified male entered the branches and presented threatening demand notes to tellers. After receiving undisclosed amounts of cash in each robbery, the male fled on foot in an unknown direction. The subject is described as a black male in his mid to late 40’s, 6’1” to 6’2” tall, medium build, with a salt-and-pepper trimmed beard, wearing a white baseball cap, a dark-colored or brown waist-length jacket, tan pants, and brown boots. In yesterday’s robbery, he was also carrying a black backpack over his shoulder.

Seeking Information on Inver Grove Heights Credit Union Robbery

Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis FBI office, is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an unknown male who may be in a position to provide information concerning the robbery of the Building Trades Credit Union in Inver Grove Heights on October 6. On that day, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Building Trades Credit Union located at 5300 South Robert Trail, Suite 100, Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone individual. After entering the bank, the robber approached the first victim teller, displayed a black semi automatic handgun, and made a verbal demand for cash. The robber made a specific demand for 100-dollar bills and proceeded to multiple tellers demanding cash from their drawers and threatening them with the gun. After the tellers handed over an undisclosed amount of money, the robber took the money, placed it into a black bag that he retrieved from a white kitty litter pail, and fled the bank on foot, leaving the pail behind.

The individual being sought for questioning was seen in and around the bank on October 5, 2009, and is described as a black male, approximately 6’1” to 6’4” tall, and approximately 220 to 240 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored, mid-length coat, blue jeans, and a dark-colored beret.

The FBI, San Diego Police Department and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Bank of America, located at 17008 Avenida De Acacias, Rancho Sante Fe, California, on Monday, October 26, 2009.

On Monday, October 26, 2009, at approximately 10:00 a.m. the Bank of America, located at 17008 Avenida De Acacias, Rancho Sante Fe, California was robbed by an unknown male. At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank and walked directly to an open teller station. Once at the teller station, the robber presented the teller a demand note for cash and displayed a weapon. After receiving a sum of money from the teller, the robber fled the bank on foot.

FBI Offers Rewards for Two Serial Bank Robbers

The FBI’s Minneapolis Field Office and the Minnesota Banker’s Association have teamed to offer a reward of up to $5000 each, for the arrest and conviction of two Twin Cities area bank robbers who have struck repeatedly recently.

The first robber is described as a white male in his 30’s, approximately 5’10” – 6’0” tall with a slender to medium build. He has been known to wear a baseball cap with dark sunglasses placed on top of the hat and to cover his face with a white or black bandana. He is believed responsible for an attempted robbery at the Cherokee Bank in St Paul on October 20, as well as robberies at the MidCountry Bank in Inver Grove Heights on September 25, the Central Bank in South St Paul on September 30, The Wells Fargo Bank in Minneapolis on October 6, the Bank of America in Hudson, WI on October 9, and the First State Bank of Rosemount on October 21.

The second robber is described as a black male in his 30’s, approximately 6’2”tall and 200 – 250 pounds. He has worn a yellow or orange road construction vest, clear construction-type goggles over his eyes, and tan work gloves. He is believed responsible for robberies at the Building Trades Credit Union in Inver Grove Heights on October 8, and the US Bank in Burnsville on August 20.

FBI Seeking Information on Female Bank Robber

On Friday, October 23, 2009, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the TCF Bank located in Cub Foods at 12900 Riverdale Avenue North, Coon Rapids, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone female. The robber entered the bank and presented a note to the victim teller informing her that the bank was being robbed. After the teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the bank and Cub Foods on foot.

The robber is described as a white female in her 40’s or 50’s, approximately 5’2” – 5’4” tall with a heavy build, baggy eyes, and darkened lower teeth. She was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt or sweater with the hood pulled up, blue jeans, white sneakers, dark gloves, and carried a black shoulder bag.

Seeking Information on Knoxville Bank Robber

At approximately 3:05 this afternoon, a man entered the BB&T Bank located at 4931 Kingston Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee. After making a verbal demand for money, the suspect obtained an undetermined amount of money and fled the scene on foot.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white male in his late 30s to early 40s, between 6’ and 6’4” tall, and weighing between 285 and 325 pounds. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a dark blue, zipped hooded jacket, and a black mask made of thin, silk-like material.

FBI Seeks Public’s Assistance to Identify Masked Female Bank Robber

The FBI and local law enforcement are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown female responsible for robbing the San Diego National Bank, 13395 Poway Road, Poway, California, on Tuesday, September 29 2009.

On Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at approximately 11:00 a.m. a teller was at his/her teller station when the teller was approached by an unknown female, hereinafter referred to as the robber. The robber held what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun in her right hand. The robber’s appearance was obscured by her sweatshirt worn with the hood pulled up and what appeared to be a clown mask covering her face.

While pointing the handgun at the teller, the robber yelled at the teller to get down. The robber set a blue and black duffel bag on the teller counter and ordered the teller to put cash in the bag. The robber held the bag open with a hand on each handle of the bag and the handgun in her right hand still pointed at the teller. After receiving the teller’s money, and unsuccessfully attempting to obtain more money from another bank employee, the robber fled the bank on foot leaving through the east doors of the bank.

The robber is described as follows;

The FBI and the Norristown Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the armed robbery of the Bank of America branch located at 1000 Sandy Hill Road, Norristown, PA earlier today.

At approximately 11:10 a.m., the subject entered the branch and approached a teller. The subject displayed a handgun to the teller, and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot, and was last seen running through the parking lot. The subject is described as a black male, early to mid 30’s, 5’9” tall, thin build, with a dark complexion and a mustache, wearing a zippered black hooded sweatshirt, dark baseball cap, black gloves, blue jeans, and dark colored sneakers.

The Hot Head Bandit – Wanted

PHOENIX, AZ—Phoenix FBI Special Agent in Charge Nathan Thomas Gray announced today the FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force, Phoenix Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying The Hot Head Bandit. He has allegedly robbed a total of five banks.

In today’s robbery an unknown male robbed the Wells Fargo Bank inside the Basha’s grocery store located at 5115 N. Dysart Road in Litchfield Park. The suspect approached the tellers, displayed a weapon and demanded money. Bank employees provided an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect exited the bank/grocery store on foot.

The unknown male is described as a White male, early to mid 50s, 5’6’’ – 5’8’, 150 – 200 lbs., dark t-shirt, shorts, dark sunglasses, and a baseball cap. In two of the robberies the unknown male wore a baseball cap with flames on it.

Robbery of Kilmichael Bank in Winona

On Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Kilmichael Bank in Winona, Mississippi, was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money. Stephen F. Gomez, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Mississippi, stated that the Winona and Vaiden Police Departments, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and Special Agents of the FBI are following all leads in connection with this robbery. In addition, the FBI, MBI, the Winona and Vaiden Police Departments and the Sheriff’s Offices of both Carroll and Montgomery Counties are searching for VERLANDER MURPHY [photo attached], age 49, a resident of Vaiden, Mississippi, who is believed to have information relevant to this robbery.

Robbery of Suntrust Bank in Savannah

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a serial bank robber who is responsible for the following Savannah, Georgia bank robberies.

On 10/05/2009, at approximately 12:20 p.m., a lone black male entered the Suntrust Bank, located at 13060 Abercorn Street, Savannah, Georgia. The robber proceeded to the customer counter and, after a brief period of time, proceeded to a teller station located near the lobby entrance where he presented a demand note. The robber departed the bank without further incident having obtained an undisclosed amount money.

This same robber is also believed to be responsible for the 9/04/2009 robbery of the Wachovia Bank, located at 10422 Abercorn Street, Savannah, Georgia and the 9/14/2009 robbery of the BB&T Bank, located at 7 E. Congress Street, Savannah, Georgia.

The robber, a black male, is described as being in his early 20’s, 5’3”- 5’4” in height, weighing 130 lbs., wearing a light colored sweatshirt and skull cap.

Seeking Public’s Assistance in Locating Two Fugitives

The FBI, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Hazleton Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to locate two subjects who were charged today in the Middle District of Pennsylvania in a drug investigation. As per the attached press release from the United States Attorney’s Office, eight individuals were charged in this investigation today, and two remain at large after a series of arrests and searches in Hazleton, Pennsylvania earlier today.

The two fugitives are identified as Andres Gonzalez described as a Hispanic male, 35 years of age, 5′8″ tall, 130 pounds, and Herman Ayala, described as a black male, 28 years of age, 5′7″ tall, 150 pounds. Photographs of these two subjects are below.

Texas State University Police (UPD) are looking for the assailant in a Monday morning sexual assault on campus.

According to police, a female student reported that she was forced into a car at knife point in the Pleasant Street Garage some time between 10:40 a.m. and 11 a.m. Monday.

The victim said the vehicle was a small four-door sedan of unknown color. The actor was described as a big, tall male, unknown race, wearing a beanie over his hair, a windbreaker and surgical gloves.

Unknown Bank Robber Wanted

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an unknown bank robber. Reward for ‘River Rat’ Up to $15,000

Robbery Near Seattle Added to the List

The banking industry in Washington has added up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the “River Rat” bank robber. When added to the initial $10,000 offered by the Oregon Financial Institutions Security Task Force, the total reward now stands at up to $15,000.

Investigators have added another bank to the list of possible robberies tagged to the River Rat. On Friday, an armed man entered the NW Commercial Bank located at 4220 A Street SE, Suite 109, in Auburn, Washington, and ordered everyone to the ground. He demanded cash, and left on foot.

Federal agents and officers working this case are now expanding their investigative area up the I-5 corridor as far north as Seattle. Despite extensive publicity and the release of very clear, identifiable photos in the Portland/Vancouver area, investigators have yet to receive a high volume of credible tips. Added to the fact that the “River Rat” appears to be completely unconcerned about the high quality of the surveillance photos capturing each of the incidents in the Portland/Vancouver metro area leads investigators to the possibility that he lives elsewhere and is simply traveling to the Portland/Vancouver area to commit the crimes. Wanted Bank Robber Rashon Mitchell Strikes Twice Today

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating wanted bank robber Rashon Mitchell, who is 35 years of age, 5’9” tall, 210 pounds, with a stocky build, a goatee-type beard and mustache, and prescription eyeglasses. He was charged this morning via Criminal Complaint in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in connection with the robbery of the FirstTrust Bank branch located at 1515 Market Street on September 29, 2009, and the attempted robbery of the Polonia Bank branch at 2133 Spring Garden on September 28, 2009. Mitchell is also considered a suspect in the robberies of the FirstTrust Bank branch at 1901 Walnut Street on September 25, 2009, and the TD Bank branch at 4020 City Avenue on October 4, 2009, and is believed to be the individual who committed robberies earlier this afternoon of the Bank of America branch at 4610 City Avenue at 12:12 p.m. and them immediately after that the PNC Bank branch located at 4060 City Avenue.

FBI Intensifies Search for “Einstein Bandit”

Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual who is believed to be responsible for the armed robbery of seven (7) Chicago and suburban banks dating to August of 2007.

The most recent robbery occurred on August 14th of this year at the Bank of America branch, located at 1585 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago. As he has done in previous incidents, the robber entered the bank and approached a teller, handing her a note announcing a robbery and threatening her with harm, if his instructions were not followed. The robber was armed with a handgun, which he displayed to the teller, but was not discharged. He then placed a bag on the counter and orally instructed the teller to fill it with cash from her drawer. The robber further instructed the teller not to place any security devices into the bag, again threatening her with harm. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the bank on foot, disappearing into the passing crowd. MORE

The robber has been described by witnesses as a black male; 40 – 50 years of age, 6’- 6’2” tall, heavy build. He was wearing a dark colored baseball style cap, sunglasses and dark gloves. He has been given the moniker of the “Einstein Bandit” due to the distinctive “E=mc2” mathematical formula that was on both the cap and jacket he has worn during several of the robberies.

Don't Annoy Me Today...

I’ve spent the night switching to and fro from the X-box, the PS2, the 360 and the PC, trying to find something I could play without getting incredibly annoyed at minor and irrelevant annoyances. There is a whole list of reasons why my impatience is not merely dissatisfaction, so I’m not going to bore everyone with tales of years gone by play-testing. I expect finished games to be of a higher quality than the ones which I helped discover glitches in.

Finished games, and ones I have actually shelled out money for, should be above the bell curve of quality. Sometimes a rush job is needed, but I will accept no excuses when after-sale care comes into play. Patches are an essential part of computing, and it will never go away as long as technology rushes onwards and upwards. But there are some games, still on sale, which are so disappointing as to make me want to throw them out of the window.

Armed And Dangerous is “thinner” than I remember it being, with glitchy clipping issues, at one point letting me get stuck as I passed a building. There was even a moment when the graphics failed to load correctly after a cut-scene, leaving me wondering why I had kept this title hanging around. Epic Fail in so many ways that it is hard to define one reason I am handing this one off to a charity shop. Spider-Man: Friend Or Foe was essentially the same level replayed over and over again in similar but not quite identical layouts. Fail. Even the Venom level was abysmal.

Rogue Trooper, perhaps sensing my increasingly bad attitude, refused to load. Ha! The PS2 is smarter than I gave it credit for.

Slightly over twelve hours of constant play (and attempted play) has shown me that my quality threshold for games has been raised significantly by too many A+ games, and I’m aware of every little thing that isn’t quite ‘right’ in the software. Hell, I’m turning into a moaning old bastard that refuses to allow a game even the slightest problem. I even swore at the television when I got to a cutscene. Always a bad sign…

Wall*E. Words fail me as I try to describe how bad this is…
Braid. Didn’t I play this, like, twenty years ago? Donkey something…
MotoGP 08. The other bikes seem to be able to go much, much faster than me, making up half a lap in a few seconds. Bad coding, or a secret boost button I haven’t discovered yet?

This was probably about the time I realized my blood pressure was rising instead of falling, so I hit upon the idea of playing something I knew would appease my increasing agitation. I break out ‘Old Faithful’ from the shelf, and pop the Turok disk in the 360.

There should be a limit to how much a person can bitch and moan, but I really am beyond salvation at the minute. My complaint about Turok isn’t pertaining to the gameplay, the graphics or even the selection of weapons. I took exception at the lead character almost as soon as my game had loaded, remembering how much fun I had reading the Gold Key comics, so the game didn’t stand a chance.

Maybe watching a DVD will relax me…

LucasArts Does The Sensible Thing By Selling It's Games

It’s about bloody time this happened. I saw this news a little while ago, but of course forgot all about posting it on here. The basic story is that LucasArts, who for years have attempted to make all their old classic games as difficult to buy as possible, have suddenly decided to give making money another chance and dump their back catalogue onto Steam. There aren’t any majorly exciting announcements yet – there’s no Grim Fandango, Monkey Island (although the remake is being released on the 15th) or X-Wing on the list, for example – but it’s certainly a step in the right direction. I’ve come across several things lately that have brought back fond memories I had as a kid. For one, the new Star Trek movie took me back to the days when I would sit on the couch with my folks and my brother every week to watch the newest episode of TNG or the original series we recorded on VHS.

Last week, my wife and I got hit with some nasty storms, and we had to go to the basement for a while with the impending threat of tornadoes. I decided to fire up the Xbox (probably not the best thing to do in a storm, but oh well) and cruise around the Xbox Live Marketplace. Lo and behold, I found a game my brother and I used to spend hours playing called Worms. Worms was a series of turn-based artillery computer games made in the late ’90’s and early 00’s that borrowed its premise from classics such as Scorched Earth and Gorillas. Essentially, your goal is to beat the other team using the vast arsenal of weapons at your disposal. Worms took the basic elements of those earlier games and added oddball, slapstick humor and the biggest array of weaponry I’ve ever seen. No other game, with the notable exception of Armed & Dangerous, supplies you with with such a goofy arsenal. You get your basic set like bazookas, shotguns, handguns, machine guns, and grenades. The real fun starts when you deploy things like the the holy hand grenade, the exploding sheep, the banana bomb, and, my all-time favorite, the concrete donkey.

My brother and I played Worms 2 the most and it still remains one of my all-time favorites. In Worms 2, you could customize the weapons to make them as weak or as powerful as you wanted which led to some fun and hilarious moments. The version they put on Xbox Live doesn’t have the customization of the original series, but it does retain the essence of the game and made some great fun while we waited out the storm.

My wife and I also recently went to Pops, a gas station on historic Route 66, and grabbed an assortment of sodas. Pops carries over 500 different types of sodas and they rotate different kinds in and out so the selection changes almost every time you walk in. My favorite soda so far has been the Sopranos Amaretto Italian Soda, but the funniest (albeit rather wrong) bottle was something called Leninade. It’s essentially carbonated pink lemonade with a red bottle cap sporting the Soviet hammer and sickle. It also has a picture of Vladimir Lenin on the front and phrases written on the side like “Drink up, comrade, it’s better than the gulag!” Like I said, wrong, but funny.

1997 Donruss Baseball Review

A short while ago, I picked up a few older boxes online. I was ready to check out and then realized that I was just a little short of qualifying for some free shipping promotion. To put me over the hump, I decided to add a box of 1997 Donruss to my order. Why ‘97 Donruss? I have no clue. But…what’s done is done so here are the results (can you tell I didn’t expect much from this box?):

Box Details: 18 packs per box, 10 cards per pack. Cost was a little over $20.

Base set: Altogether there are 450 cards in the base set. The first 270 are found in Series 1 (which I opened) while the last 180 are found in the Update Series. I received 139 of 270 base cards for just about 51.5%. There were 31 duplicates in this box and 2 triplicates. Like always, I have to point out a unique base card. Who’s Brett Butler talking to???

Rated Rookies (1:6 packs): Found in every 6th pack on average, the Rated Rookies inserts are the easiest ones to pull in this product. There were two in this box. The first card was of Trey Beamon, who was drafted by the Pirates in 1992 and established himself as a top prospect of the Pacific Coast League in 1995. He made his ML debut the following year and played with three separate teams in three years, last appearing with Detroit in 1998. The other card was of Jason Thompson, a draft pick of the Padres in 1993. In 1996, Thompson was called up for 13 games with San Diego and batted .224 with 2 homers and 6 RBI. He would never play in the Majors again.

Silver Press Proof (1:8 packs, 2000 produced): Found in every eighth pack on average are the Silver Press Proof parallels, which are numbered (though not individually) to 2,000 on the back. The difference between the Press Proof and regular base cards would be the giant foil “PP” logo in the background. There were two proofs in this box: one of Kevin Appier and one of my Eduardo Perez (one of my least favorite Baseball Tonight analysts EVER).

Gold Press Proof (1:32 packs, 500 produced): The second parallel to the set, the Gold Press Proof, is much rarer and is die-cut at the top and bottom, not to mention all the gold text on the card. Like the Silver Proofs, they are also numbered on the back, only to 500. I pulled a Shannon Stewart.

Armed and Dangerous (1:58 packs, 5000 produced): The best pull from this box was an Armed and Dangerous insert of Barry Bonds. On the front of this card, is a Giants logo hidden in some camouflage near the top. On the back, we have a picture of Bonds plastered on a faux military badge (link). The theme is interesting at least, even if it is Bonds.

What WASN’T Pulled: There were two inserts randomly found in Series 1 Hobby packs that I did not pull any of. The first is of course, Diamond Kings (link). I don’t think I have to explain what these are. They were numbered to 10,000 that year and the first 500 numbered copies were printed on canvas. As a special bonus, if you happened to pull a Diamond King that was serially numbered 1982/10,000, you won that particular card’s original art! However, you had to be quick as the offer expired in March of ‘97. The second insert I missed out on was the Elite Series (link). They were limited to 2,500 and looked awesome as always. I’ll let that scan do the talking. Have those cards ever not looked awesome?

Final Thoughts: I didn’t expect much from this box so I couldn’t really complain. I don’t plan on opening any more basic Donruss boxes, but I just might if I find some of any particularly interesting years. Expect some more exciting boxes soon…

За какво говоря ли? Хайде ще почнем с трейлър:

Мда, четвъртата игра от поредицата Devil May Cry (DMC). Преди да продължа нататък, се чувствам длъжен да уточня, че до сега не съм имал досег с DMC игрите. Е пробвах се с DMC3 – но по-онова време нямах джойстик, а играта с клавиатура ми се стори доста тежка и така и не напреднах особено. Другото важно уточнение, е че въобще не съм фен на “Hack and slash” жанъра (а за първата игра от поредицата се твърди, че го е предефинирала).
Та подходих със сериозна доза негативизъм и недоверие

Няма да ви губя време с твърде дълги описания на персонажите, но ще спомена че през 2/3 от играта играете с младият “Nero” \нов е в поредицата, също като мен\ а през останалата част, ще се подвизавате като оригиналния герой на поредицата – “Dante”. Най-общо казано “Nero” има три вида атаки – меч (Red Queen), Револвер (Blue Rose), и новия за DMC игрите – Devil Bringer (демоничната ръка на Неро).

Меча е ясен – ходиш и кълцаш, с револвера стреляш, а с Devil Bringer-а можеш да придърпваш врагове към себе си (или ти да се придърпваш към тях) и още купища неща и комбота. По късно в играта се отключва и още един меч, който се активира по-специален начин, но това е друга песен.

За мен най-уникален беше факта, колко лесно (и ултра забавно) е да комбинираш различните атаки и да правиш ултра невероятни комбота
Например: Врагът се затърчава към тебе, ти го изчакваш да се приближи, и секунда преди да те удари му правиш “ъперкът” с меча. Гадината излита във въздуха и докато той е там, започваш да го обстрелваш с револвера. Като ти омръзне да го стреляш, се “придърпваш” към него (във въздуха) с помощта на Devil Bringer-а и отново започваш да го налагаш с меча. Когато ти омръзне, отново с Bringer-а, сграбчваш жертвата (както сте си във въздуха) и го забиваш в земята! От там можеш отново да го придърпаш при теб, да го застреляш, или пък да се сгромолясаш върху него с насочен направо меч И това е съвсем малък пример, за огромните възможности който играта предоставя.

Просто бях изумен от факта, че с малко трейнинг и подходящата екипировка, можеш да се биеш прехвърляйки се от враг на враг, без въобще да докосваш земята.

Когато се докопах до Dante се втрещих още повече защото той има 3 вида огнестрелни оръжия, 3 вида мечове (+1) и 4 бойни стила (+1) като всеки един боен стил променя действието на копчето с което активирате Devil Bringer-а на Неро.
При него огнестрелните оръжия са значително по-мощни от Blue Rose-а, а едно от тях – “кутията на Пандора” е може би най-нечовешкото оръжие на което съм попадал във видео игра \с изключение на Land Shark Gun-а и Topsy-Turvy device-а от Armed and Dangerous\

Въпросното оръжие е толкова смахнато, че се чувствах все едно съм намерил някакъв ултра мощен сикрет в играта
Ето няколко от формите който въпросното може да приема:

Какво, защо и как ще ви оставя да откриете сами

Та продължавам с бойната система (ако не съм казал, за нея говоря). Въпросната е така направена, че можете да минете играта като просто се набирате на едно две копчета, но ако решите и се заиграете ще откриете, че е ужасно дълбока и комплексна и предлага толкова много варианти и комбота, че свят да му се завие на човек.
От делно всяко едно от споменатите оръжия може да бъде ъпдейтнато и към него да се прибавят още и различни… неща. Аве файтинг системата е просто перфектна, и може да бъде пригодена за всякакъв тип играчи

Вразите в играта не са много (като видове, като бройка могат да бъдат ужасно много), но пък за сметка на това са доста интересни и различни като подход който е добре да приложите срещу тях. Босовете поне според мен, са доста оригинални и е истински фън да се биете с тях… Поне първите 2 пъти
Тук идва една от първите ми сериозни забележки към играта… Повтаряемостта. Значи бих се с босовете веднъж. Бих се втори път (което леко дразни, но поне има известна логика), но когато играта за трети път ме постави срещу същите босове ми стана лееееееко досадно. Не се шегувам, срещу почти всички ще се наложи да се бието по тамън 3 пъти.

Ако това беше някой друг а не Capcom, сигурно щях да ги обвиня в липса на идей и въображение, но предполагам, че тук случая е доста по-комплексен – времеви и финансови ограничения и мързел

Локациите из който ще се мотате са доста интересни, и като цяло изглеждат повече от добре, си изключение може би на горите

където определено имаше нещо гнило в сенките (не проблема не ми е от видео картата). И понеже играта ползва MT Framework енджина (изграден на основата на Unreal Engine 3), искрено се надявам да си оправят “мазалото” за да не останем много неприятно изненадани от задаващият се Resident Evil 5. Но да не се отплесвам – като цяло, играта изглежда доста прилично и върви леко и неусетно, а локациите са интересни. Проблема обаче е, че в един момент въпреки многото пътища из нивото, ще откриете, че те в същност са УЖАСНО праволинейни. Верният път, по всяко едно време е само един! И ако това не ви се струва страшно, почакайте да разберете, че ще ви се наложи да минете по един и същ път ужасно много пъти. За капак ви гарантирам и, че поне веднъж ще се затриете много сериозно из някое от нивата, и ще минете през една и съща местност толкова много пъти, че чак ще ви се додрайфа. И така, до след две мисии когато с прискърбие ще откриете, че пак трябва да минете по същият път. Та така нареченият backtracking наред с повтаряемите босове, правят играта страшно… да повтаряема! Което е напълно достатъчно да откаже човек като мен от каквото и да е преиграване на играта. А преиграването тук играе важна роля, защото нямате никакъв шанс да си развиете уменията на мах от едно изиграване

Другият голям минус на играта е ужасната камера. Седяли си Capcom, и си мислели. Ние сме интелигентни! Нека да дадем право на камерата в нашата игра да си прави каквото си иска, когато си иска. Е НЯМА ТАКЪВ УЖАС ПРОСТО! В играта например, има няколко джъмп енд рън местности. Та както се досещате, джъмп енд рън елементите са от типа – “скачай ся, по тез въртящи се витла” и принципно не са нещо сложно… докато не се появи камерата. Честно ви казвам, тази камерчица успя да превърне абсолютно всички подобни местности в пълно изпитание за нервната ми система. А това с витлата, дето го споменавам по-горе не искам да си го спомням никога вече (камоли да го преигравам).
Толкова ли беше трудно, да направят нормална камера? Очевидно да!

Също така има и няколко доста леки пъзели който в поголямата си част са по-скоро изнервящи от колкото интересни. Това със зарчетата например, беше ултра отегчително!

Като верен PC геймър, ми се ще да понахраня Capcom и по-адрес на контролите.
Сега, то е ясно че тази игра с клавиатура не е много безопасно да я играете (и за клавиатурата и за нервната ви система). Също така е ясно, че въпросните принципно не им дреме много за PC периферията, а неща като поддръжка на мишка са им повече от чужди (заради RE4 си купих джойстик). Та включвам джойстика и отивам да го конфигурирам. Още преди да пусна играта, имам такава опция тъй, че смело се насочвам натам. За съжаление конфигурацията се изчерпва с това да изберете различни лейаути на копчетата, който обаче са нагласени единствено и само за Xbox контролер, и нямате вариант да ги променяте. В играта също има място от където можете да настройвате бутоните, и от там пак ви се хили джойстика на кашона. Още по-якото е, че в един момент откривате, че всякакви комбинации там са нерелевантни, по простата причина, че изборът ви преди да пуснете играта тотално овъррайтва всичко останало. В крайна сметка след около 30 минути мъки, използвах софтуерът на XFX (който си идва с джойстика ми) и си мапнах копчетата към тези от клавиатурата. Така успях да ги наглася да са ми що годе удобни. Аве не знам дали някой разбра нещо, ама най-общо казано Capcom просто са фърлили някакви опции там, колкото да я има.

Историята не е най-уникалното нещо евър, но е достатъчно интересна. А и честно, дори да беше най-тъпото нещо на света, пак щях да я следя с интерес по 2 основни причини:
- невероятни кът сцени! Казвам ви, Холивуд има какво да научат от филмчетата в играта. Няма толкова много кулнес, няма толкова изключителна хореография. Трудно ми е да ви го опиша с думи, това просто трябва да се види. Точно за това, ще ви покажа синематик пролога на играта:

и това е само една съвсем мъничка частичка от синаметиците. За да сме по-точни, това е едно от най-спокойните и не динамични филмчета в играта
- изключително озвучаване на персонажите. Някъде четох, че репликите им били тъпи, но аз се забавлявах страшно много с всяка една реплика която героите изтърсваха, а Данте просто ме събаряше от стола с тоталният си непукизъм и начин на изразяване.

Разбира се, и тук си намерих за какво да мрънкам: Jason “Shyboy” Arnold of Hyonogaja – The Time Has Come. Мда, това е песента която ще чувате ВСЕКИ ПЪТ, когато влезете в битка. Не че парчето е лошо, или не надъхващо (точно обратното) но когато го чух за 100тен път, си зададох въпроса – е не можеше ли да свири и пее и нещо друго де!?

Дължина на играта, и финални мисли. Ако може да се вярва на сейфовете ми, минаването на DMC4 от началото до края (на най-лесната трудност) ми е отнело 10 часа и 15 минути, което ме кара да задам въпроса – ако не трябваше да се бия с всички босове по 3 пъти, и не ми се налагаше да се връщам през една и съща местност “n” на брой пъти, колко дълга щеше да е играта всъщност?! Моят отговор е 4, пряко сили 5 часа… което не е добре

Въпреки всички минуси обаче, няма да отричам, че ужасно много се забавлявах с това заглавие. Бойната система определено го вади от калта, а перфектните кът сцени така ми замазаха очите, че съм склонен да забравя всичко лошо
Всичко това, и най-вече заради факта, че след като приключих с играта се чувствах удовлетворен и доволен, играта получава едно 8,5 от 10 от мене с пожелания Devil May Cry 5 да удари поне 9,5

PS: Твърдо съм убеден, че съм пропуснал нещо много важно но твърде много ми се спи, така че ви оставям в компанията на тез двамцата и си лягам да спя

Seen Battlefield: Heroes yet? No? Well, take a glance and tell me what I should be more shocked at: That EA aggressively continues to whore out existing franchises in their continuing efforts to wallpaper their offices in cash or the fact that their latest attempt in doing so is arguably their most daring idea to date. But, uh, it’s free, which leaves me little choice; I will play it, regardless. I am being indirectly forced to by my subconscious will to oversell my loyalty to anything that doesn’t take self-regard to an overwhelmingly insulting level.

You know, I think that’s why I’m so hasty in giving short-shrift to the FPS genre as a whole. It’s such a simple, emotionally vulgar distraction but you name one title and chances are that it’s fans often talk of it in the same tone of voice that film buffs use when talking about The Third Man.
When coupled with the fact that most FPS fans often regard a product that invokes visual elements of anything other than gritty (even in hardcore, outlandish Sci-Fi) as strictly for teh kiddies then we’re looking at a genre
whose purpose seems to be more of a security blanket and less of a good time. Take note of one of the selling points of that BF:H trailer: “The key element is ‘fun’”. Now, I may be waaay off base here, but who here plays games because it brings them provocative philosophical challenges? Sure, BioShock runs objectivist thought up a flagpole in terms of both story and gameplay and the game is enriched because of that, but if the play wasn’t good, it wouldn’t be a game. It’d be a movie.

So then I wondered why there were certain games of this type
that I have been actually able to get into in the past. For this exhibit, we have XIII, Armed and Dangerous, Timesplitters: Future Perfect, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, and Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. The gameplay between all of these titles can be comparable with most other shooters but the one other thing that sets most of these games outside the norm is a goddamn sense of humor with the possible exception of XIII. Let the record show that this approach often results in high marks from the gaming press but low regard in the general FPS gaming community, despite the excellent fucking writing that is the hallmark of some of these examples, particularly from the Timesplitters series.

All the more reason for casual player to scoff at the “core” gaming community’s interests. Who the fuck wants to hang around someone who keeps trying to convince you of their own self-importance? That sounds like egomania run amok to me, and that’s the only thing I think of when people try to reconcile the popularity of a very humorous, stylized product like Team Fortress 2 for themselves by linking it’s origins to the forefathers of contemporary illustration, especially when the end result more closely resembles something altogether more important but less impressive when it comes to namechecking.

Further case in point, and I’ll continue to use BF: H as an example as it could be (and is) construed by some thin-skinned bitches to be a mockery of one of the biggest tragedies to ever befall the human race. Fine, make that criticism, if it makes you feel all “insightful” and reverent, deep in that endless well of bullshit that you call a “soul”. But in doing so, you’ll need to tell Harvey Kurtzman, The Zucker Bros., Mel Brooks, Spike Milligan, Mort Walker, Bernard Fein and Albert Ruddy and all of the aforementioned gents at Termite Terrace that their insensitive treatment of anyone who’s lost a life in that bloody typhoon is not welcomed. I mean, how dare they try to decode a smile or a laugh from the extranatural, gore-washed insanity that was the Second World War? There’s no laughter in war! None!

…but we can turn it into shallow cash-in for desktop he-men to show everyone in the digital world what impressive deaths they could have made if only they’d had the balls to join the army.
