A música tem como base o hit da cantora, “Foolish”, que na primeira semana do seu lançamento, colocou-a como a primeira mulher a ter os dois principais lugares da Billboard Hot 100 (“Foolish” e “What’s Luv?), batendo novo recorde com “Always on Time”, quando conseguiu, na mesma semana, ter três músicas entre os Top 10 da Billboard Hot 100, feito superado somente pelos Beatles. A participação do B.I.G. confere à música a qualidade e o peso da rima característicos do gangster. Letra da música.

Ashanti attended the Hennesy Artistry ‘Halo’ event in MYC last month, looking lovely as usual.

Putting her break-up with Nelly behind her, Ashanti has been on her grind, and has just inked a MAJOR deal with a Revielle LLC (the guys behind Ugly Betty), which will see the singer serve as Executive Producer, as well as an on-air personality for a music-based competition show. Obviously very happy about the deal, Ashanti had this to say:

“I’m excited about the opportunity to be working with Reveille LLC, one of the tv industry’s heavyweights and I can’t wait to begin production.”

Wow, that’s a good look no doubt; ’specially in this “Beyonce/Rihanna” musical climate!

Ashanti – Leaving (Always On Time Part 2)

Den här damen fick jag upp ögonen för när hon var med på några av Ja Rules låtar. Men hon har alltså oxå varit framgångsrik på egna ben och den här låten är en slags fortsättning på en av låtarna hon gjorde ihop med Ja Rule, därav att den kallas Always On Time Part 2. Dessutom så är det så att Ja Rule får göra ett inhopp den här gången istället så det är lite av ett givande och tagande med andra ord. Hur som helst så är det underbart softa låtar som passar bra när man vill ha ett lite lugnare tempo.

Zijn carrièrisme schaadt ondertussen de seksuele relatie met Ashanti, zoals valt op te maken uit de volgende brief, van hem aan haar, die ik op de keukentafel vond.

What many have expected for some time has finally happened, Ashanti and Lloyd have left Murder Inc. Records. In the past few years, music from Ashanti and Lloyd have kept the label a float. R&B has kept Murder Inc. alive, but there are no more R&B acts left on the label.

While it is official that Lloyd is off of the label, the status of Ashanti is unknown. With Murder Inc. planning to sign a new distribution deal with Atlantic Records before the end of 2010, the label will have money to spend to sign new artists.

Currently, there are many male R&B singers that find themselves as free agents. Such singers as Ray J, Usher, Ne-Yo, and Mario will soon be done with their current label deals. Granted, the label does not have the respect that it once had, but it still has a strong production team.

If Ashanti is truly gone, there are plenty of other female singers that would sing with Ja Rule. Some take that as a joke, but Irv Gotti and Ja Rule are still respected due to their past success. Irv Gotti does have a working relationship with Mary J. Blige and Ja Rule is friends with Keyshia Cole.

When Murder Inc. reaches a deal with Atlantic Records, things will be a lot clearer. Once the deal goes through, more money will be there for Irv Gotti to spend. Plus, Atlantic Records is known for promoting R&B acts, so singers signing to a possible Murder Inc./Atlantic label would be a match made in heaven.

Leighton Meester

Leighton has had a lot of  TV exposure, with parts in shows such as Entourage, CSI: Miami, House, Shark, Numb3rs, 8 Simple Rules, 24, 7th Heaven, and Law & Order. On the movie side of it all, she hasn’t been in anything too popular. Date Night, slated to release in 2010, is supposed to be hilarious, after all it does star funnies such as Steve Carrell and Tina Fey.

Penn Badgley

He stars in the new movie The Stepfather, which is doing pretty good at the box-office, right? He also had a bit in John Tucker Must Die along side Brittany Snow and Ashanti. He also has TV experience on Will & Grace, What I Like About You, and The Young and The Restless.

Chace Crawford

Off the top of my head I can’t think of anything he has starred in, so I reached out to my dear friend IMDB.com for info.
He lent his voice to Family Guy and Robot Chicken in 2008/2009. He is also playing the lead in Footloose, out in 2010.

Taylor Momsen

She’s probably best known as Cindy Lou Who in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. She was also in We Were Soldiers which also starred Mel Gibson and Keri Russell.

Ed Westwick

I am fairly sure Gossip Girl is his first “big” acting gig. He was in Californication for an episode in 2009. Also, he played Randy in S. Darko, which I refuse to see. BUT, he is starring at Heathcliff in 2010’s Wuthering Heights.

So, which cast member do you think is landing the best gigs? My vote goes to Blake Lively, or Leighton Meester. Although Ed Westwick’s part in Wuthering Heights is sure to put him on the map, as well as Chace Crawford’s part in Footloose.
