AMANDA REMEMBERS HER LAST VISIT WITH SYDNEY — Jonah (Michael Rady) and Riley (Jessica Lucas) decide to head to Las Vegas to elope but the day doesn’t quite go as planned. Ella (Katie Cassidy) arranges a pitch meeting for Jonah with an important producer who is interested in buying his film. Meanwhile, Lauren (Stephanie Jacobsen) calls David (Shaun Sipos) after she gets in trouble with one of her male clients and Auggie (Colin Egglesfield) confesses his true feelings for Riley. Also, Michael (Thomas Calabro) gives David information about Sydney’ killer and Amanda bonds with Violet (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) over Sydney, but of course Amanda has an ulterior motive in getting to know Violet.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz threw their son Bronx an awesome first birthday party on Saturday November 21. Bronx Mowgli who actually turned one on Friday November 20 was treated to a ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ themed birthday bash at his grandparents Joe and Tina Simpson’s house in Encino, California, which even included an impersonator dressed as the goofy, yellow sea sponge known as Sponge Bob Square Pants.

Pete thanked his friends and family on Twitter for a “rad b-day for Bronx.”

The tot was joined by 30 family and friends which included his pop star aunt Jessica Simpson who tucked into birthday cake and played on a giant bouncy castle! LOL!

Last week, Pete revealed his plans behind opting for the cartoon theme.

He said: “Bronx likes Bob and he likes guitar which he calls ‘itar’ so we’re going to have a SpongeBob party for him.”

People, I know that she was pregnant and by “FAT” I mean looking larger than the average person, not that’s she’s unhealthy or a lazy slob. See, this is what tabloids and beauty magazines tell us: that the term fat refers to a lazy, ugly, unhealthy, pig. When I just meant that she’s “bigger.” The word fat used because for a normally skinny person, she was way “heavier” (obviously because she was with child.) Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz reportedly celebrated their son Bronx Mowgli’s first birthday with a SpongeBob-themed party.

The party on November 21 took place at grandparents Joe and Tina Simpson’s house in Encino, Calif, and around 30 family and friends, including aunt Jessica Simpson, were there to celebrate.

“Bronx likes Bob and he likes guitar – which he calls ‘itar,’ so we’re going to have a SpongeBob party for him,” People magazine quoted Wentz, 30, as saying.

The party went well, according to Wentz, who thanked party planner Mindy Weiss and others on his Twitter page Saturday night for the “rad b-day for bronx”.

This last week has been crazy here in New York, there has been tons of fun events going on. You saw the video from the Nylon party that our friends TV/TV played at earlier and we hit up one more store opening in Times Square this week. It was a starlet filled event, with Gossip Girls Michelle Trachtenberg, Jessica Szohr, and a performance by Leighton Meester. Ashlee Simpson was also in attendance and some guy named Pete Wentz was the DJ. Leighton definitely pushed the style envelope in her crazy performace get up and she sang five songs including her summer hit with Cobra Starship. BONUS: I also got to catch up with our very crushworthy buds from Warped Tour this summer, Forever The Sickest Kids at their album release party at Planet Hollywood in Times Square on Monday. They played a few songs acoustic to a lucky group of fans and hung around for signings and photos, check it out below:

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is to star in the Broadway production of ‘Chicago’. Ash played murderess Roxie Hart in the London West End version of the musical and is now reprising the part in New York’s famous theatre district. Ashlee starts her run on November 30 and admits she can’t wait.

Ash said: “I’m honored to be reprising my role as Roxie Hart, returning to the stage and joining this amazing cast. Being on Broadway is a childhood dream come true.”

Ashlee’s Big sis Jessica is thrilled that Ashlee has landed the part after her disappointment of being fired from US TV series ‘Melrose Place’ last month.

From Cheryl Cole to Ashlee Simpson, it seems everyone is basking their hair in luscious shades of red in time for winter. The transformation is phenomenal, which beggers the question, should blondes ever take the plunge?

To find out I had a few tipples before heading off to the hairdressers and this is what happened…

And according to my sources, that is precisely what we’ll get a little later this season on the CW’sMelrose Place, as not one, not two, not three but four alums from the original series will convene on the famous complex to party down.

Clearly, Heather Locklear is one of them, as she made her triumphant and bitchtastic return tonight. (Can that girl still rock a miniskirt or what?) And according to sources, Locklear will appear in all but one of the remaining episodes of Melrose’s first season (there are 18 total).

I’m told Heather will be joined by three other Melrose Place alums in the 16th episode…

Josie Bissett (Jane Mancini), Daphe Zuniga (Jo Reynolds) and Thomas Calabro (Michael Mancini).

Word is, they’ll all come together for a big soiree at the building.

I’m also told that Heather’s storyline heats up in the next few episodes, so if you found her return tonight slightly ho-hum, be a wee bit patient.

Oh, and BTW? A very reliable insider (who tells it like it is) tells me that the rumors of Ashlee Simpson being disliked by her fellow cast members and ousted by Heather are “100 percent false.” That’s not why she was written out, I’m told. She was always a sweetheart on set.

1.  I was reading a quote by Ashlee Simpson the other day where she says the only thing she does to maintain her figure is to chase her kid around and that her arms are defined because she’s constantly holding him.  *blank stares and crickets chirping*  Are you serious right now?  First of all, you’re arms aren’t that defined for crying out loud.  But besides that, there is no way you’re as thin as you are because you chase your kid all day.  That’s ridiculous.  It’s annoying when celebrities say crap like this.  I help out at a daycare twice a week for a few hours and trust me, I haven’t lost an ounce being out there keeping up with 16 kids.  True it’s just for a few hours a week but16 trumps your one, trust me.  I’m just saying.

2.  Unless you’re a hot, single guy my age or someone at least 10 or 15 years older than me, please don’t call me sweetie, honey, sugar, or anything related to that.  I went to buy jeans over the weekend and the sales girls kept saying things like, “Do you have everything you need sweetie?”  “Hon can I get you anything else?”  Now I do realize I’m in the south and that’s part of vocabulary here, but it’s weird coming from someone younger.

3.  Why did the movie 2012 come out this year?  Wouldn’t it be more effective to come out in 2012?  I don’t have any sarcastic, snarky comments about this.  I’m genuinely curious.

4. Ever notice on cop shows people are constantly walking away from the police when they’re being questioned?  Usually they say something like, “If you’ll excuse me I have work to do” and then they leave.  Does this really happen?  I would think that if I was being questioned by police for something I would stay put until they tell me they’re through.  But maybe that’s just me.

5.  Kids. Hear. Everything.  And then they repeat it.  Helping out at this daycare and working with the kids at church, I’m constantly amazed and the things they’re saying.  Not because they’re repeating things that are bad, but because it’s usually the most random stuff that you know their parents never thought they heard.  It’s kind of funny sometimes.  Mostly because they aren’t my kids.

6.  Tyra Banks was on Jay Leno tonight and it reminded me once again just how funny Joel McHale can be on The Soup.  The show is basically him making fun of moments on reality TV (Tyra and The View being two of his favorites to pick on).  But honestly, Tyra just asks for it. I’d be surprised if some part of tonight’s segment isn’t made fun of by Joel. I couldn’t believe he was actually invited on The View as a legitimate guest a little while back.  The first questioned asked was why he makes fun of their show on his.  His response, “Have you seen your show?”  haha  I love it.

*sigh*  I need some new hobbies.

Just look at these faux-lebrities and all of their plastic surgery gloriousness. There’s no wonder they’re famous, thier jobs are to be professionally good-looking! And they’ve got the team of beauticians to back them up. Celebrity culture today is about looks. The better you look, the more likely you are to get famous and stay there. And to stay there, you need to keep up with your personal up-keep. Havrilesky says it right; these days celebrities leave most of theirselves behind for another version of themselves, whether it be with the obvious examples of weight loss and plastic surgery, or by selling out their life to a camera crew that makes them conscious of there every waking minute. It’s not like the days of Mae West, Grace Kelly, and Irene Dunn anymore. It was their obvious natural beauty and personality that made them famous, the fame came to them– nowadays people change their personality and looks in order to meet what standards they need to BECOME famous, they go to the fame.

Celebrities try to claim that they are ‘just like us.’ They go to the grocery store to buy orange juice, they invite reporters into their homes and kitchens to show what they keep in their fridge, they walk their dogs in tennis shoes and sweatpants. But the difference between us and them is that they have a stylist, manager, nutritionist, and make-up artist preparing them for these events. We don’t go to Wal-Mart in $300 jeans, or walk our dogs in Beverley Hills. Today’s celebrity culture will never be ordinary people because they’ve made their fame by being un-ordinary.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz as Roxie Hart

Pop star Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who made her London stage debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago, will reprise her performance for New York audiences when she joins the Broadway cast of the Tony-winning Kander and Ebb musical later this month.

Simpson-Wentz will begin performances at Broadway’s Ambassador Theatre Nov. 30. She will play a limited engagement as the merry murderess through Feb. 7, 2010.

“I’m honored to be reprising my role as Roxie Hart, returning to the stage and joining this amazing cast,” said Simpson-Wentz in a statement. “Being on Broadway is a childhood dream come true.”

Simpson-Wentz’s albums include “Autobiography,” “I Am Me” and “Bittersweet World.” Her TV appearances include “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Saved by the Bell,” and a recurring role for two years on the WB’s “7th Heaven.” The singer-actress also starred in MTV’s “The Ashlee Simpson Show.”

Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.

Pop singer Ashlee Simpson has defended her big sister Jessica’s weight gain.

Ashlee, 25, who is married to singer Pete Wentz, slammed critics for ridiculing Jessica’s figure.

“It’s disgusting that people would say those things,” the Daily Express quoted her as telling Women’s Health magazine.

“My sister has an incredible body. I feel sorry for anyone who would judge her,” she added.

Fox media had recently apologised for airing a cartoon mocking Jessica’s weight.
