These days, traveling is difficult and expensive, so Inovis is trying to offer many of our courses in a WebEx or online environment. Here are some of the classes that are in the process of being developed and should be available some time in the second quarter:

For our Trusted Link Windows product, we are offering a Quick Start to TLW. This would be a six hour WebEx (two three hour sessions) where you would get the very basics of how to get started with Trusted Link for Windows. The regular two day class is not going to be discontinued. You still have the option of coming to Alpharetta and coming to one of our two day classes. That will be an instructor led class with more hands on opportunities.

We’ve had requests from customers who would be interested in building their own EDI forms in TLW. Typically, our TLW customers have us build their forms for them and they download the forms from the Inovis website. We are finding that more and more customers would like to build their own EDI forms. As a result of these requests, we’re offering two new classes: TLW Forms 101 and TLW Forms 201. In these courses, you will learn how to use the TLW forms building tool. This tool allows you to build your own EDI forms to your trading partner’s specifications rather than having Inovis build the form for you. Both of these classes will be offered via WebEx, and each of these classes is four hours. So, if you were to take both of these classes, you would know how to build your EDI forms. You would also learn about troubleshooting, how to include calculations, and how to do cross reference tables. All three of these TLW classes should be available some time in the second quarter. Again, announcements will go out when these courses are available for registration.

We also have just launched a third BizManager class. We currently offer our Basics BizManager class and our BizManager mapper implementation class. We’re pleased to now offer a third class: BizManager Advanced Mapper Implementation. This class will be two days and is not offered via Web-Ex. In BizManager Advanced Mapper Implmentation, we’re going to talk about how BizManager uses processing rules, how to use Java Scripting with Catalyst Mapper, and how to work with a Database format vs. the EDI format. This class is designed for advanced users. This is a great class for people who have either already been through the first two classes or are very familiar with the BizManager product. This course is available now and the schedule is posted on the Inovis Customer Portal. You can enroll in this course today! The first class will be March 20 and 21st. It is offered again on April 14 and 15th.

We’re also developing a Quick Start for BizConnect. This will be a WebEx class consisting of two three hour sessions. It’s not BizLink with Transformation, it’s BizConnect only. We hope to have this new class available in Q2 as well.

We are currently in the process of developing a TrustedLink Enterprise Advanced Topics class, very much like the BizManager Advanced Mapper Implementation class. With TrustedLink Enterprise, we currently have a basic concepts class and an advanced mapping class, but for those users who want a little more, we’ve put together an Advanced Topics class for TLE. Those topics will include how you create an ASN (which is an 856), XML documents, some advanced operations, back-end system interfacing, and some system admin. tasks. Again, this course is designed for the experienced user or someone who has taken the other courses. This is a 2 day class, and will also be instructor led. This course will hopefully be available Q2 TrustedLink Enterprise Advanced Topics is not currently featured on the schedule.

We’ve also re-introduced a class that was in the schedule some years ago, and it’s coming back by popular demand. It’s Trusted link System i XML basic implementation. Our current course offerings for TLi—the Basic Concepts and the Advanced Concepts—focus on EDI format. We now have a course available on the schedule that focuses solely on XML format.. This class is designed for Trusted Link System i users who want to learn how to create XML documents in Trusted Link System i. This is also a two day class in person, and is already on the schedule at the Inovis Customer Portal.

Lots going on at Inovis Ed Services. Check back for more info!

And don’t forget we are on the road again! Dallas in April, Boston in July and Newport Beach, California in December – join us in one of these locations!>>
