“When you change the way you look at something, the thing you look at changes in response.

“When you change the way you look at something, the thing you look at changes in response.” Thought influences matter. That is the premise that forms the foundation of The Answer, by John Assaraf. The subtitle of The Answer is “Grow any business, achieve financial freedom, and live an extraordinary life.” His proposition is that if we focus our thoughts on success, we will attract the resources that we will need to bring about that result. In other words, start “from the inside.”

Nowhere is this more applicable than Internet Marketing. By the very nature of Internet Marketing, our success is crucially dependent upon our expectations of the outcome. If we don’t have the confident belief that we will succeed, then we are most likely bound for failure. The reason is, that unlike most other business models, we tend operate in a capsule. Most internet marketers work by themselves, out of their home or small office, with no partners, no employees, and no board meetings. That means no feedback; no constructive criticism; and no “you’re doing a great job, keep up the good work!”

Without a strong, positive expectation of success in our Internet Marketing efforts, the many obstacles and derailments along the way would inevitably discourage us, and we would lose our motivation to continue to forge ahead. If we can’t learn how to “see ourselves” reaching the goals that we have set, we are less likely to achieve what we originally set out to do.

Another important principle of The Answer is “The Law of Attraction” – the creative process by which the energy released by our thoughts affects the circumstance and events of our lives. There are no accidents, every action has a cause, and everything is the result of something else.

Neuroscientists can literally track brain waves – they can watch us think. They can “see” the energy in our brain at work. The Law of Attraction says that the energy produced by our thoughts attracts similar, or like, energy. Positive thoughts cause positive actions, which cause positive results.

Through the process of “Neural Reconditioning,” The Answer explains how we can create an environment for success by creating a positive vision of what we want to accomplish and employing various forms of neurotechnology – meditation, visualization, and affirmations – to reinforce those images. Those images will influence our actions, which ultimately will determine our outcome.

As a successful internet marketer, I recognize that just the dynamic and ever-changing technology of our industry can frustrate even the best of intentions. Because of our independent and self-reliant nature, we must be able to provide our own source of encouragement and up-lifting support. If we begin by focusing our thoughts on the outcome that we want, then following those thoughts with the proper actions, we, too, can “Grow [our] business, achieve financial freedom, and live an extraordinary life.”

The Answer is a great book that helps tie together years of study involving success psychology, PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), psycho-cybernetics and neurotechnology into an understandable, irrefutable treatise. As James Allen stated decades ago in his famous little book, As A Man Thinketh: “The outer world of circumstance shapes itself to the inner world of thoughts…Men are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to change themselves; they therefore remain bound.”

Steve Morris is retired business owner and Internet Marketer dedicated to helping other entrepreneurs create an ongoing income stream by taking advantage of the potential of internet marketing. It was an unique event in that he spent much of the time taking questions directly from the live audience through Facebook Chat. The result was a hugely informative conversation that you can watch here:

(Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4)

To give you a flavor of the discussion, here are just some of the interesting exchanges from the event:

Guest: “How can we be ‘business smart’ and honest at the same time?”

John: Made it clear that should always be the case, in fact, “they go hand in hand.” He also pointed out in today’s world of social media that you “cannot be dishonest in business” because “people will find out.” John finished up on this point by saying, “don’t look for the quick buck. Have honesty integrity.”

Guest: “How do you make your product or service stand out in a crowded marketplace?”

John: You need to show what makes your specific product or service unique. He recommended creating “a differentiation factor that people recognize isn’t the same as everyone else.” As an example of this he mentioned our own, CredibilityLIVE because of how it tries to create an experience for customers which allows us to stand out. John also advised in using “real people, real results” as a way of standing out instead of just trying to create unrealistic hype. He explained that hype doesn’t work in the long run and that evidence is much more powerful.

Guest: “What about giving back to the community?”

John: “One of the things that is really, really critical is cause marketing. Cause marketing is when you create an association between a cause you believe in and your product or service.”

Guest: “What about free in a service industry with high entry costs and heavy labor inputs such as video production?”

John: If there was no way to give them the experience, instead use mirror neurons. Mirror neurons cause our own neurons to light up when seeing someone else experience something. By combining this with his previous point on “real people, real results”, John mentioned that it is an excellent choice if offering free products or services is not an option.

Guest: What about niche products? I invented and am marketing a holder for placemats. It’s a great space-saver. How do I make it appealing to consumers?

John: People don’t buy products, “people buy benefits.” With any product, including niche products or services, he emphasized the importance of relating it to the consumer and how it benefits them. To further hit the point home, John said that “all of your marketing, all of your messaging should be around the emotional benefit to the end user.”

Want to take part in our next event?

Thanks again to everyone who took part in the first CredibilityLIVE event! Our next event will be on May 5th, with Robert Berkman who will be speaking on Simple Tips & Tools for Monitoring and Managing Reputation on Social Media Sites. Make sure to register for the event and we look forward to seeing you on May 5th!

Why are you stuck at your current income or revenues? Hi friends, If you are really serious about ac

Why are you stuck at your current income or revenues?

Hi friends,

If you are really serious about achieving greater financial success you must read and understand this now.

In my many years of studying human perception and peak behavior it never ceases to amaze me how many people think that we see with our eyes. We don’t!

We see when light bounces off an external object and enters our eye through the cornea, causing complex chemical reactions and electrical impulses to occur. This allows our brain to decipher the information from our external world and to determine whether or not it is important to us. It is actually our brain that sees and not our eyes. Our eyes are just like the lens on a camera – they allow in light that is reflected off objects so that our brain can see and process information.

Seems pretty simple right? Now, you may be asking why this is important to earning money and so I’ll explain to you what is really going on and why it’s especially important to you if want to achieve higher levels of financial success.

The way your brain works is really amazing when it comes to capturing and analyzing information. However, herein lies the problem.

Every second about 400 billion pieces of “information” from the outside world is being picked up through your eyes and your non-conscious mind. Your conscious mind however is made aware of up to only 2,000 of those pieces of information. That means that over 9.9999 million pieces of information are being dropped from your conscious awareness at any given time.

Your brain searches the outside world for patterns and images that it currently recognizes or deems highly important. It drops all other sensory information from your perception if it is not on your “important list” or part of your current mental programming or conditioning.

With that said, if you are conditioned to earn a certain income or if your company is used to generating certain revenues, your brain is will consistently seek out opportunities that match that level of income. Nothing less, nothing more.

Earning more income is totally an inside mental game and not an outside game. Working harder used to be the answer because that is what our parents, teachers and mentors taught us we should do. They didn’t know better. Today we do.

With all the advancements in brain research and recent understandings in quantum physics, you owe it to yourself to really understand how your priceless brain works and how to take control of all its powerful systems. In the last six years alone the advancements in human potential have been huge, especially in understanding why people get stuck financially.

If you are still working way too hard daily, then you are really missing the boat on taking your income or revenues to your true potential.

If you are interested in maximizing your income, revenues and living a healthier, happier life, I urge you to consider my goal achieving program that will show you the most advanced process to achieve any goal you deserve and desire.

Track Your Day to Financial Success If you’re like most people you probably go about your day-to-d

Track Your Day to Financial Success

If you’re like most people you probably go about your day-to-day business never really thinking about the moment-to-moment activities that consume your day. I’d like to walk you through an exercise that will help you earn the highest possible revenue per hour.

Let’s assume that we each start with 365 days in a year. If we take away the following:

Weekends 104 days

Two weeks of vacation

Personal religious holidays – (Three is the average)

That leaves each one of us with approximately 238 days in order to earn the income we desire. If you multiply these 238 days times an average of 10 working hours per day, you are dealing with 2,380 hours of real work time for the year. So let’s do some math. If your yearly income goals are as follows:

$25k = you must be earning an average of $10.50 every hour of work.

$50K = $21 per hour

$100k = $42 per hour

$250k = $105 per hour

$1 M = $420 per hour

$5 M = $2100 per hour

$10 M = $4200 per hour

In order to earn the income per year that you really want, you absolutely must be doing activities every hour that line up with this chart. If you are doing anything that isn’t your absolute highest producing income activity all the time, you are making it much harder to achieve your desired financial goals. Answer these four questions:

What activity or activities generate your highest producing income?

What are you spending your time doing?

Are you focused on the real money makers or the real time wasters?

Are you making it easy for yourself to be a high-income earner or are you doing the things that can be done by someone whose income goal or ability is less than yours? (Delegate or outsource projects and tasks that aren’t the highest income producing use of your time.)

When you start to look at each hour this way, you’ll stop doing the small stuff and you’ll start doing the real high producing stuff that yields results. You will build your business success and your wealth.

Entrepreneur or Victim? “Shallow men believe in luck, believe in circumstances….Strong men believe

Entrepreneur or Victim?

“Shallow men believe in luck, believe in circumstances….Strong men believe in cause and effect.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Every thought you form broadcasts a distinct and particular frequency, and that frequency elicits a response from the quantum universe as surely as a swinging hammer has an impact on the surface it strikes. Things don’t arbitrarily happen to you. Events in your business are the reflection of your thoughts, the echo of your own actions and the thinking behind them. In the East, this truth is reflected in the idea of Karma, and in the West, the Golden Rule. The core of this principle is this—You are at cause in your life and your business.

For many people, this is a challenging principle because it puts you squarely in the driver’s seat. Embracing this principle means you no longer have the luxury of blaming other people or external circumstances for the things that happen in your life.

Here is the flip side of that equation: Embracing this principle also means you have far more capacity to create the events and circumstances in your life than you have ever imagined possible.

When we don’t recognize this principle operating in our lives, it’s easy to start seeing ourselves as being the effect of those events. Rather than seeing that we are making things happen, we start to believe that things are simply happening to us. This easily leads to what is often called victim mentality.

If you are someone who is growing a massively successful business, there is no place for victim mentality in your life. The two states of mind—victim thinking and entrepreneurship—are 100 percent incompatible.

The word entrepreneur derives from the French word that refers to the source of the event, the one who initiates. Building and growing a successful business requires a commitment to being at cause, not at effect.

There are many things you need to know to successfully play the game of business. A great many of them you can learn as you go, and a great many skills and fields of expertise you can bring into your business by hiring or partnering with people who possess them.

But there is one skill you must have yourself, and it is a single most important skill of any successful businessperson, the one without which success is impossible: You must be practiced at creating the thoughts that will serve your business.

Creating a clear business vision is the critical first step to your success, but it’s just that: the first step. No matter how crystal clear it is, simply having a goal doesn’t make it happen. If you want to create financial freedom for yourself, five key elements have to be in place.

The Five Musts are:

You must find something that stirs your soul.

You must become excellent at it.

You must recondition your mind to believe you can have it and achieve it.

You must understand how to make money at it.

You must take daily action.

Commit to Visualization and Your Affirmations Commit to Visualization and Your Affirmations Your vis

Commit to Visualization and Your Affirmations

Commit to Visualization and Your Affirmations
Your visualizations and affirmations should accurately describe the life you want to live. This is your vision. You can design it any way you want. Exercise your creativity and ingenuity. Have fun! As you create a vision of your future and support it with your affirmation, you will begin to see things you never saw before. Here are some other tips to help you program your nonconscious mind with visualizations and affirmations.

Recommit and Refine. You have to keep refining your goals, your business vision and your affirmations. The game never ends. Design your vision and write out your affirmations until they are perfect in your mind. You have to keep recommitting to the process. Every time you set your goals higher, every time you push past the goalposts even further, or set your foot on the path to some new goal or aspiration, you have to recommit to the process of articulating that goal and then imprinting it onto your nonconscious brain.

Complete the Process. Make sure you finish writing your vision statement and affirmations. Are you procrastinating or not completing the work? If you find you haven’t done the work, here’s the question you could pose to yourself: What stories am I telling myself as to why I haven’t done this work? The way you do anything is the way you everything. If you’re dragging your feet, ask yourself: Why? What reason are you giving yourself that you can’t do this? Your habits are forcing you to behave in the same old ways you always have.

Embrace making a change. You can ask yourself other questions such as: How well is my inactivity working for me in my business and my life? Wouldn’t it be nice to make a change? You have nothing to lose but old habits that aren’t working for you—and you have everything to gain.

Commit to the Process. Stay focused and commit to doing the neural reconditioning work day in and day out. Make yourself reminder notes to review where you stand with the process, perhaps at the beginning of every week. Add a statement to your reprogramming routine that addresses your commitment, something along the lines of: I am building on a solid new unconscious foundation to take my success even further.

In the last number of months, I have been reading many blogs and viewing many videos concerning the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction was re-awakened throughout the world in 2006 with the film called The Secret. The film featured many great people alive today that practice the Law of Attraction to gain their own success in life.

The Law of Attraction is all about setting intentions, thoughts and actions accordingly to get more of what you want and less of what you do not want. I watched the Secret film (many many times), read many books and articles on the Law of Attraction (LOA) since 2006, however, I have not truly put it into practice in the way it would best benefit me in my life. Although, it is understood that we all practice the LOA whether we are aware of it or not, there are definitely ways to make it work better for you. What triggered this deeper search for me is largely due to my own personal crises. In my search for resolutions, I started to understand and internalize the energy of how this all works. There are many great voices out in the world which I found very fascinating and intriguing and I enjoyed the energy and the inspiration of most.

One of the things that became apparent during my search is that there was a ‘missing’ piece of The Secret film. This important piece was the the ‘action’ part. This error is acknowledged by all the great practicing leaders who are trying to send a new message on how to engage in this action.

My experience has also included feeling a bit overwhelmed by the many voices to which I was reaching out. At some point, I realized that I must start the ‘doing part’; the action part. Thus, I have had to tone down the number of voices I was reaching out to and focus on making some kind of connection with only a selected few voices to receive ongoing inspiration and coaching. A voice, that, I can feel a connection and can aspire.

There are so many amazing highly energized people out there. At the beginning of my journey, I bonded with Bob Proctor and John Assaraf. These men are legends! They totally amaze me and I love to listen to every word they say. They walk the talk and they have proof in their pudding! They are masters at motivation and business. More recently, in the last month or so, I have also found a unique connection with Michael Losier and the totally super charged LiLou Mace. Michael is a motivated speaker/ trainer/ teacher. He is the ball of wax all wrapped up into one. He makes it so easy! I totally admire the journey he has tread and where he is taking the call (his purpose) in his life. LiLou is a super ball of positive energy! Lilou is real and transparent. She has such charisma on the camera and yet remains so down to earth. I just love how she opens herself up and lives the life of the LOA for everyone to see. She even opened up her 1:1 coaching sessions with Michael Losier to the public. This is amazing reality TV my friends!

In my next blogs, I will write more about my favourite LOA heroes and my own LOA journey. Stay tuned~ & thanks for reading Ocean Azure blog~

Did you enjoy any part of this blog? If so, please leave a kind thought ~

Have a Happy and Healthy Day~

In 1633, an aging Italian astronomer named Galileo Galilei was taken before the Roman Inquisition, tried, convicted of heresy, and sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Galileos crime? He endorsed the idea, proposed a century earlier by the great Catholic astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, that the earth is not the center of the solar system. In fact, said Galileo, it is the other way around: The sun sits at the center, and the earth is simply one of a handful of planets that revolve around it.

This idea was judged as being diametrically opposed to the position taken by Holy Scripture. Galileo was forced to publicly recant his views, and his book containing the offending idea, Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems, was banned. The old mans sentence was later commuted to house arrest, and he lived out the rest of his days confined to his villa outside Florence, where he eventually went blind.

Still, Galileos views persisted, and the meticulous experiments and mathematical models he used in his search to understand nature set the stage for all the developments of modern science that followed. Three centuries later, a German physicist named Albert Einstein called him the father of modern science.

From Galileos time onward, scientists precise observations contributed to a picture of the world that looked very much like a massive piece of mechanical clockwork; they had little practical use for such ideas as soul, spirit, or consciousness.

The French philosopher and mathematician Ren Descartes, a contemporary of Galileos who is today regarded as the father of modern philosophy, declared that the best way to understand how the world works would be to divide existence into two parts: the objective or material world, governed by the principles of science, and the subjective world of the mind and the soul, which would be the province of the church.

Descartes is especially famous for the statement I think, therefore I am. But the truth is, the think part of that declaration puzzled Descartes, much as it has puzzled scientists for centuries since. Just how is it that we think? Where do our thoughts come from? How do the bits of physical matter that constitute our brains generate consciousness? The answers to those questions open up a tremendous new world of possibility for what we can achieve in our lives, and they form a central part of The Answer.

A World Inside the Atom

In the generations following Galileo and Descartes, Sir Isaac Newton took the idea of nature-as-machine much further, detailing the precise laws that govern how that machine operates. All of classical physics, and in fact, all of modern science, has been built upon the foundation created by Newton. His laws of motion made possible the advance of modern technology, from simple steam engines to the space probes that have analyzed soil samples on Mars.

But scientists eventually reached the limits of the Newtonian worldview. As their tools grew more sophisticated, their explorations of the physical world took them deep into the heart of the atom, where the nature of reality proved to be something quite different from anything Descartes or Newton ever imagined.

At the dawn of the twentieth century, scientists began looking into the world within the atomic nucleus, and they were shocked to discover that on the subatomic level, the physical world did not behave at all the way Newton said it should. In fact, the atom itself turned out to be a sort of illusion: The closer scientists looked, the less it really appeared to be there.

And when our vision of the atom fractured, the foundation of classical physics fractured along with it. Our view of how the world works was in for a radical transformation.

Everything Is Energy

When we say the name Albert Einstein, what comes to mind? Perhaps you think of his wild mane of white hair, or that famous picture of the distinguished physicist sticking out his tongue. Or maybe you think simply, Genius. But whatever picture you have, you will also probably come up with E=MC2.

Why on earth would a mathematical equation for a sophisticated theory be so famous that even nonscientists recognize it immediately? Because with that simple equation, Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared, Einstein shattered centuries of thinking and radically altered our view of how the world works.

One reason Einsteins idea was so transformative was that for the first time ever, it described how energy and matter are not only related, but can be transformed back and forth into each other. Now the elegant, clear-cut world of classical, Newtonian physics would be forced to move over and make room for the fuzzy, strange, nearly unimaginable world of quantum physics.

Quantum physics is the study of how the world works on the smallest scale, at a level far smaller than the atom. And as scientists studied the nature of reality on a smaller and smaller scale, something strange began to happen: The deeper we went into reality, the more it seemed to dissolve from view. The search for the smallest known particle of matter had instead turned up distinct yet elusive little packets of energy, which physicists called quanta.

The Einstein breakthrough comes down to this: Everything is energy. A rock, a planet, a glass of water, your hand, everything you can touch, taste, or smell – its all made of molecules, which are made of atoms, which are made of protons and electrons and neutrons, which are made of nothing but vibrating packets of energy.

This is where quantum physics intersects with what I found inside that cardboard box. What physicists found has everything to do with how you are going to create the life of your dreams by building your dream business. For once we know that everything is energy – that there is no absolute distinction between matter and energy – then the boundaries between the physical world and the world of our thoughts start to disappear as well.

Reading the Mind of God

In the decades that followed Einsteins theory of relativity, the new quantum physics began to reveal some very strange things. The tiny packets of energy known as quanta exhibited some very peculiar behaviors, including an unexplainable ability to influence one another, a property called entanglement.

In his book Science and the Akashic Field, physicist Ervin Laszlo describes a series of experiments conducted by lie detector expert Cleve Backster. Backster took some white blood cells from the mouths of his subjects and cultured them in a test tube. He then moved the cultures to distant locations, more than seven miles away. He attached lie detectors to the cultures and then performed a series of experiments on his subjects.

In one of his tests, he showed his subject a television program depicting the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. This man was a former navy gunner who had actually been present at Pearl Harbor during the attack. When the face of a navy gunner appeared on the screen, the mans face betrayed an emotional reactionand at that precise moment, the lie detectors needle seven and a half miles away jumped, exactly as it would have had it been attached to the man himself, and not just to a test tube of his cultured white blood cells miles away.

How is such a thing possible? In the language of quantum physics, the particles of the gunners body are still connected or entangled with one another, and no matter how far apart they are separated in space, they will continue to influence one another. In fact, this effect appears to occur at speeds faster than the speed of light, which violates one of Einsteins basic rules.

Scientists dubbed this mind-boggling capacity for instantaneous interconnection nonlocality. Einstein had a somewhat less technical term for it. He called it spooky actionat a distance.

A Bizarre Discovery: Thought Influences Matter

Within twenty years of Einsteins radical work, another revolution in worldview occurred, just as cataclysmic as Einsteins. It started with two of the early pioneers of the quantum world, the Danish physicist Niels Bohr and his protg Werner Heisenberg.

Bohr and Heisenberg studied the puzzling behaviors of these tiny subatomic particles and recognized that once you look deep within the heart of atoms, these indivisible particles are something like tiny packets of possibility.

Each subatomic particle appeared to exist not as a solid, stable thing, but as the potential of any one of its various possible selves. Heisenbergs uncertainty principle stated that it was not possible to measure all of a subatomic particles properties at the same time. For example, if you record information about the location of a proton, you cannot pin down its speed or trajectory; if you figure out its speed, now its precise location eludes you.

Bohr and Heisenbergs work suggested that at its most basic level, physical matter isnt exactly anything yet. At the subatomic scale, according to this new understanding, reality was made not of solid substance but of fields of potentiality – more like a set of possible sketches or ideas of a thing than the thing itself. A particle would take on the specific character of a material thing only when it was measured or observed.

In fact, even more bizarre, it was soon found that the mere intention of measuring particles, even without carrying out the actual act itself, would still affect the particles in question!

Suddenly subjectivity – the action of consciousness upon a piece of matter – had become an essential component in the very nature of reality.

The Zero-Point Field

As scientists continued pursuing their explorations on staggeringly small scales, they eventually found themselves staring at something truly confounding. They termed it the zero-point field (ZPF), because at this most infinitesimal of levels, some sort of force appears to be present even at a temperature of absolute zero, when all known forms of energy vanish.

Here, beneath the level of energy itself, exists a still more basic level. The field at this level is not exactly energy anymore, nor is it a field of empty space. It is best described, physicists realized, as a field of information.

To put it another way, the undifferentiated ocean out of which energy arises appears to be a sea of pure consciousness, from which matter emerges in clustered localities here and there. Consciousness is what the universe is made of; matter and energy are just two of the forms that consciousness takes. Ervin Laszlo calls this field that underlies and connects all things the A-field, in deference to the ancient Vedic concept of the Akashic record, a nonphysical repository of all knowledge in the universe, including all human experience.

The psychologist Carl Jung called it the collective unconscious. It has been intuited and described for thousands of years and in a multitude of terms and images throughout human history. Only in the last few decades has science caught up to what we always sensed but could never fully explain.

Says Laszlo: The ancients knew that space is not empty; it is the origin and memory of all things that exist and have ever existed. . . .[This insight] is now being rediscovered at the cutting edge of the sciences [and is emerging] as a main pillar of the scientific worlds picture of the twenty-first century. This will profoundly change our concept of ourselves and of the world.

In fact, it has already profoundly changed our picture of ourselves and our worldand it will radically change how you approach your life and your business.

Thought Creates Everything

So what are we saying here, that everything that is, is made of thought? That thought creates the physical world? Yes, that is exactly what were saying.

Your thoughts not only matter, they create matter. Thought is where everything comes from. And your thoughts are where your business comes from.

In the chapters that follow, were going to walk through the process, step by step, of building your dream business by first harnessing the most powerful force in the universe: your beliefs.

The Most Powerful Force In The Universe

If the idea that the universe is made of thought seems amazing, here is the truly amazing thing about it: The scale of power were talking about here is staggering beyond comprehension.

The universe appears to be structured as a series of layers or levels, much like an onion or Russian nesting dolls: Inside of organisms, we find cells; inside cells, molecules, then indivisible atoms, then electrons and protons, then quarks, bosons, mesons, photons, leptons . . . and the smaller the world, the greater the amount of force we find wrapped inside it.

The deeper in nature you go, the more dynamic nature becomes. In other words, the more fundamental the level to which you penetrate, the greater the power you’ll find.

For example, chemical power, the force of chemical interactions, operates at the level of molecules and atoms. Nuclear power operates at the level of the atomic nucleus, about a million times smaller – and it is a million times more powerful. Yet even the nuclear level pales in comparison to the deeper levels todays quantum physics is exploring. According to Laszlo, the zero-point field has an energy density of 1094 ergs per cubic centimeter – thats ten thousand billion, billion, billion, billion times more energy in a single cubic centimeter of empty space than you have in all the matter in the known universe.

And thats just one cc of empty space. Imagine what you’d have in a quart.

How Quantum Science Helps You Build Your Dream Business

In 1902, two years after the physicist Max Planck first coined the term quantum to describe the core reality of light, a young British writer named James Allen penned a little book entitled As a Man Thinketh, which drew its title and its message from the biblical verse As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.

At the time, few would have associated the two men and their work, but with the hindsight of a centurys discoveries, we can now see the connection. While scientists spent the rest of the century pursuing the horizon set by pioneers such as Planck, Einstein, Bohr, and Heisenberg, which would ultimately lead to the quantum vacuum, philosophers like Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, and Bob Proctor worked to articulate its application to the practical world of human accomplishment.

This idea, that our thoughts have a direct, causal impact on our reality, has been observed, but it always seemed like something that rational people couldnt buy into, an idea that created more questions than answers. Now science has given us that set of answers.

Remember the mind-boggling amount of power in that cubic centimeter of empty space, or consciousness? When Victor Hugo said, There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come, we now know that this was more than a metaphor. He may not have fully realized it at the time, but he was giving us a literal description of how reality works.

Thought is the most powerful force in the universe. Our thoughts are the controlling factor in what we manifest and create in our lives.

The idea precedes the thing.

That is at the heart of how my dream house showed up, as well as every business Ive built, and the same thing happens to every businessperson who has a vision and applies these strategies and tactics. It started as a picture, an idea in my mind, and before I knew what had happened, I was living in it.

Science tells us that underlying what we know as the world is a field of pure consciousness, billions upon billions of times more powerful than any measurable energy, and that this field of absolute consciousness knows everything that happens, anywhere and everywhere in the universe, instantaneously and with absolute accuracy.

This is not so different from the kind of descriptions people have given for millennia in their efforts to grasp the ultimate nature of our universal source, what some of us call God. Whatever you call it, the picture that emerges is of a world bounded by an infinitely large, omnipotent, omniscient intelligence, which lies behind everything in the phenomenal world as its source, author, and ultimate destination.

This is the dream world we live in, you and I, and it is the clay from which you will shape and give life to your dream business.

How to Change Your Beliefs What is your main obstacle to the success you desire? What gets in your w

How to Change Your Beliefs

What is your main obstacle to the success you desire?

What gets in your way is a belief that you have about an important area of your life. Subconsciously you don’t really think you can accomplish it. You may even have a great goal set around this area yet you continue to fall far short.

Your mind is your biggest obstacle to getting what you want. Thanks to an excellent new book by John Assaraf and Murray Smith called The Answer, there is now a clear path that shows us how to get over this enormous hurdle. It even explains why our brain works the way it does. You no longer need to feel badly because you have fallen into the same traps almost everyone else has.

Energy and the power of your thoughts.

Thoughts create the physical world – your world. Everything starts as an idea (ex. everything you see out of the window was once nothing more than someone’s idea for a building, road, landscape, business, or school)

“Everything in the physical world is made out of atoms.

Atoms are made out of energy.

And energy is made out of consciousness.”

In his book, The Biology of Belief, former University of Wisconsin cell biologist Bruce Lipton notes that each of us is “a bustling community of more than fifty trillion cells” that is profoundly impacted by our beliefs. “When we truly recognize that our beliefs are that powerful, we hold the key to freedom…it is not our genes but our beliefs that control our lives.” Lipton explains that the universe is made out of energy. The more atoms are studied, the more they seem to disappear from sight and become small packets of energy.

Your thoughts create not only matter; they create whatever level of business you have right now. This is the world of quantum physics. It is the unseen world that is far more powerful than the world that we see and that hits our senses every day. What happens in your business STARTS in the unseen world – with the ideas and thoughts in your nonconscious mind.

Those thoughts, founded in how positively you feel and ‘vibrate’ around them, allow them to magnetize into your life more of what you want. You start to become the person you’ve always wanted to be. But you have to do it deliberately otherwise your brain will default back to what it has always done for you – which is bring to you what you have right now.

The Three Laws

Be clear about what you want – the Law of Attraction cannot be a magnet for you if you are vague about WHERE you are going.

Here’s the exciting news according to Assaraf and Smith: “Once you have seen that vision in your imagination, you have all the faculties you need to bring that vision into physical reality, using the very same processes that turn an acorn into an oak tree.” This explains why you don’t spend time as a tone-deaf adult fantasizing about being an opera singer! Your mind knows this is not POSSIBLE.

Deciding what you really want is not easy – especially in an age where there is so much choice. But think about it this way. If your brain is an archer pointing a bow and the target is fuzzy and hard to see, it is likely that the harder it strains, the more targets seem to appear. Under these circumstances, what kind of results can you expect?

I think one of the challenges most people face is that they do not like to think hard and think deeply – especially about a topic that forces us to concede and confront pain. It takes work and requires self-discipline – and time! It is easy to put off. Yet who are we fooling to assume the solution is a quick fix?

Also, what we want is clouded sometimes by not having made peace with our past – with pain and rejection that we have attached to past experiences. When negative emotions are stirred up by associations of the past, it is hard to gain clarity about the future and believe great things are possible. We are more likely to repeat past mistakes.

Be patient – the Law of Gestation means that you can’t keep digging up the roots every five minutes to see if the flowers in your new garden of empowering beliefs are taking bloom. Nature has a season for everything. Yours will come.

Be in action – the Law of Action requires that you do as much as necessary to fulfill your dreams. You can’t sit around all day ‘hoping’ your thoughts will magically cause everything to fall on your lap.

The message of this book isn’t so spiritual that it ignores that we are responsible for creating our lives and that involves DOING something.

Why Your Beliefs Are Your #1 Obstacle:

Meet Your Remarkable Brain

98% of what we now know about the brain has been learned in the last DECADE! Your brain has about 100,000 miles of blood vessels and 100 billion neurons with the capacity to perform some ten quadrillion operations per second. Writing out all the possible neural connections your brain is capable of would take you seventy-five YEARS.

In other words, your potential is unlimited.

It has two basic divisions: the conscious brain and the nonconscious brain.

The bad news: we think our conscious brain controls what we do and that if we have an idea, we act on it. Regrettably, this is rare. Our conscious brain impacts between 2 and 4 percent of what we do. The average person loses focus every six to ten seconds! Mostly we live on automatic pilot (if you’re not sure what I mean, think about driving a car. You only think consciously about this when you first learn. After that, you drive, talk on the phone, listen to audio, chat with passengers, eat food, drink coffee etc and pay little attention to consciously driving!)

The good news: your nonconscious brain can track everything nonstop and it never loses focus. This is what needs to be impacted and where the beliefs must be changed.

Why Most People Do Not Reach Their Goals

A desire in your conscious brain – simply wanting something – is not enough. Why? Because if habitual thought does not believe that you deserve it, that habitual thought is 1,000 times stronger than a desire! 1,000 times! Those habits are the repeated thoughts that have created unhelpful neural pathways in your brain. According to the authors, the average seventeen year-old has heard “no, you can’t” thirty times more often in their life than “yes, you can.” “That makes for a powerful belief of “I can’t”.”

This is why so many people set big financial goals and get frustrated so quickly. Their brain has been conditioned to believe something unhelpful (such as: rich people are corrupt; it is more honorable to be poor; there’s only just enough money to cover expenses – beyond that it’s greedy) and will not let it happen.

The fruit matches the seed and the seed is the unhelpful belief.

96-98% of your behaviors are automatic because the nonconscious mind dominates your thinking. This explains why we usually do NOT act on the ideas we have. The seed needs watering and our nonconscious, unhelpful beliefs will come in unbeknownst to us and starve it.

What are beliefs?

Sure – they are opinions and attitudes but really they are “nothing more than the specific neural patterns in your brain, thoughts that are so ingrained they have become automatic. They are not there because they are ‘the truth’.”

For example, when it comes to asking for referrals, many people ‘believe’ that they are being pushy by asking or that it makes them look needy if they are asking. Provided your client recognizes that you have brought value and you ask in way that is about your client helping others (rather than about you growing your business which they don’t care about), I think this belief is completely ridiculous. If you bring value, why would you starve the world of your contribution? That’s your nonconscious brain being unhelpful.

Your beliefs create your reality – that’s great if you have what you want, but it is rotten if your beliefs are not doing that for you. And, unfortunately, most of your thoughts are unconscious ones – habitual thoughts that are mostly negative and unhelpful.

However, high achievers think differently and have mostly empowering thoughts that encourage them towards what they want.

How do you figure out your current beliefs?

It’s much easier than you may think: look around you! Look at your current situation! How is your health? Your relationships with loved ones? Your financial situation? Where you live? That is what you have attracted and what you presently believe you deserve. This may well be a tough pill to swallow. I know the first time I heard this idea, I was outraged at its stupidity! That was 12 years ago. And this is why I am so excited about this book – it finally presents some solutions that are practical and fully explained.

What else but your ways of thinking could have gotten you to exactly where you are right now?

What are your choices at this point? You can either blame, justify or complain about your results OR you can take full responsibility and create the life you want. It’s not easy. And it starts with planting new seeds of thought in your head and watering them.

How do you change your beliefs so you get what you really want?

There are three components:

Fulfill the “Five Musts”

Consciously choose the thoughts you want as beliefs (so know exactly what you want)

Systematically impress them on your nonconscious brain (The 6 Steps of Neural Reconditioning)

You must rewire your brain and train it to think the same thoughts as those people you aspire to be like and the person you intend to become. You can’t just do what they do; you need to think as they do too. Why? Because your nonconscious brain determines almost all of your thoughts and thoughts determine your feelings. It is your feelings that determine your actions and only your actions can determine your results!

Good news! “No matter what your age, your brain is perfectly capable of creating entirely new neural pathways.”

“The Five Musts:

a) You must find something that stirs your soul

b) You must become excellent at it

c) You must recondition your mind to believe you can have it and achieve it

d) You must understand how to make money at it

e) You must take daily action”

The 6 Steps of Neural Reconditioning

Step 1: Create a New Vision

You must be crystal clear about what you want from your life. Your nonconscious brain cannot tell the difference between real and imagined events. How strongly you imprint these pictures is the key so repetition and impact matter most. The emotional power you put into your thoughts makes all the difference. It is why you remember where you were on September 11, 2001 and not on September 11, 2005.

Step 2: Create Powerful Affirmations

These state how you want to live in your ideal life. Often they are in stark contrast to what your current beliefs are or they may focus on areas you are some distance from achieving. Examples might include:

I am a brilliant and savvy business professional.

I have absolute certainty in my ability to generate any amount of income I choose.

I live each day with passion and purpose.

(Note: Some people have criticized the value of affirmations as something your brain does not buy into. This is why there are six steps and not one! Please put your cynicism aside. The results are worth any feelings of awkwardness.)

Step 3: Create Emotional Anchors for Neural Linking

Identify a powerfully positive emotional event from your past. Perhaps it was the time you were most confident in your life. Or one where you accomplished something exciting that filled you with tremendous pride. When was it? It’s a fun one to think through.

Write down all the feelings that experience evokes. While focusing hard on how supreme you felt at that time, start feeding in one of your affirmations. This process is what helps to bind the neural pathway you need. Because it is a strong emotion, “protein is released along with neurotransmitters as the neurons fire across the synaptic gap.” Every time you do it, more proteins are released. This is how you develop new empowering beliefs.

Step 4: Prepare Your Neural Imprinting Material

This means writing out your affirmations, creating a vision board of what you want, recording your voice reading the statements and using subliminal media. These hit the sense in various ways and speed up the time in which you can achieve what you want.

Step 5: Your Neural Reconditioning Routine

Assaraf and Smith recommend doing these at the same times each day – preferably three times each day. Apparently our nonconscious is most easily accessed when we first awake and before we go to sleep.

There are three parts to this:

a) Meditation: doing this first helps your brain to focus on what you want. While it has many widely-researched benefits (I was surprised how many), the authors focus on how meditation trains us to use more productive brain waves. This matters because it means we can reach our goals more easily.

b) Visualization: fill your mind with visual images of what you want. Picture the same images each time and if possible embellish them with the senses. The bottom line is to enhance your pictures with feelings because your feelings determine your actions. Do this for a few minutes after your meditation.

c) Affirmation: Then read through your new beliefs – aloud if you want and in the mirror for greater effect. This will probably feel uncomfortable at first. Persist.

Step 6: Using Neurotechnology

You can now play subliminal audio recordings of your own voice and listen to them any time reading your affirmations. It all helps reinforce your nonconscious brain.

Warning: Be ready for your brain to resist change. Your unhelpful beliefs are not going to be substituted without a fight. Remember your habitual thoughts are 1,000 times stronger at first. Even when your status quo is mediocrity and mild depression, your brain will still fight to keep you in this so-called comfort zone.

ABOVE ALL: DO THESE STEPS DAILY. “It is not a huge task; in fact, it is almost ridiculously easy to do. It’s just that most people don’t do it. But you will – and that will make all the difference.”

Think BIG

Lastly, Assaraf and Smith advise that you do not set easy-to-reach goals. On the contrary, they argue that “all truly successful businesspeople have a certain special ingredient in common” and that is THINKING BIG.

See the BIG picture, be driven by passion, stay focused and take action.

Also, big thinkers reach out for help – the kind they don’t know they need!

Read that again. Almost all business owners know they need some help: to delegate, to market effectively, with IT and accounting etc. But the research in Russ Alan Prince’s The Middle Class Millionaire shows that only the highest achievers also get other help: they have mentors or work with coaches or are in mastermind groups. WHY?

It reduces your learning curve.

They provide resources you don’t know about.

They see things about you that you can’t see yourself.

They provide unbiased and unconditional support.

They can push you harder than you might push yourself.

The best thing you can do first is buy this book so you can fully understand the impact of making these changes and instill a daily habit of rewiring your brain. The power of changing your beliefs has been written about for decades. Now the scientific proof is overwhelming. Now it is your turn. What are you waiting for? As the authors conclude in the book: “How will you spend your life?”

One of the scariest things about joining the challenge was the thought of “putting myself out there”

One of the scariest things about joining the challenge was the thought of “putting myself out there”. I am a very private person by nature, yet I would soon be sharing my innermost desires with complete strangers and now here I am blogging to the world about my experience. Why?

To back up for a bit, in general my life is pretty awesome. I’ve been married for fourteen years now to my best friend and biggest supporter. We have two fantastic kids. We live in warm sunny California, and own our own home. I love my job, and have an employer I consider a friend and mentor who is supportive of my quest.

What could have possibly been wrong or have left me feeling so stuck? It all boils down to the name of the challenge—Having It All. I’m 90% of the way there and I fully intend to get it to 100%.

The “All” that I am working towards is my personal contribution to this universe. I know that I am destined for more than what I am doing today. I truly believe that the experiences I’ve had in life have been given to me for a reason and in order for me to feel truly fulfilled, I must find a way to give back using those experiences. Part of that means “putting myself out there” and getting way out of my comfort zone.

John Assaraf interviewed Dr. Joseph Dispenza, author of “Evolve your Brain”. It was a fascinating journey into the human brain and the physical and chemical changes that take place when we change the patterns of our thinking. According to Dr. Dispenza, being uncomfortable as you change your old ways of thinking signifies growth. Well, I’ve definitely grown a lot these last few weeks and now I’m looking forward to the rest of the ride!
