Yes, I know the holiday just past, so this might seem a little odd timing I guess. But I had been playing to write on this for a while now, but never got to it. So, since I’m wide awake, nothing on tv worth watching and no one is online to game with cause everyone who is online is either on Call of Duty, or Assassin’s Creed 2.

Everyone has a certain amount of family values, even if it’s just a meir 1%, just like everyone has a love for their family, of course, it wont be equal love, but everyone at a different value. That being said. A lot of us, do have family, but at the same times its like we dont. Especially if your outed and treated like the red head step child, or simply a black sheep of the fam. Always being left out of everything, til the last-minute, or not at all even. When you need help, they never want to help you, but as soon as they want some help, you are the first one they call..Am I right?

I think so. Take me for example; Most the people in my family, well at least here in the states, I can’t stand. I don’t know what it is that they have against me, I’ve asked but never get an answer. Every since I was a teen its like I can’t win for losing like I did something to them. It’s fucked up when my friends are more family then my own. Especially in times of need when you just need people for emotional support or whatever else. Just like when I need a little help, with anything, and I’m not even talking about money, I get the same answers:

Well why can’t so and so do it

I can’t, well dont want to, so maybe you’ll manage on your on or find some help

Did you ask so and so?

The list goes on and on, and its a damn shame. But yet soon as they want some help, I’m the first one they think about, and like a dumbass, I use to when I was hungry, thinking it would win them over or whatever, but…it didn’t and one day I finally saw the light, and said fuck’m all. Moved thousands of miles away and haven’t looked back. I’m better off where I am. Only people I can honestly say that I care about, in the states remember…, is my mom, grandma, 2 of my 3 sisters, 1 cousin, and 1 uncle. As for the rest of them, well fuck’m, especially my brother(long story). There is an acceptation of my cousins mom and dad, but they are sometimey’.

Anyway, I think I’m done venting and ranting for the most part. And I know there are lots of people who can compare. But not everyone wants to talk about it.

Time to watch Sons of Anarchy…..

Bleak Friday
By Colin S. Liddle

Two fifty inch plasma HD TVs.
Zenith surround sound system.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Assassin’s Creed 2

This is not a Christmas list. This is a list of items that I will be getting killer deals on at Target at 5:00 am on Friday, November 27. My cousin made me watch a really lame movie once; it was called There Will Be Blood, but I liked something a character said in it: “I have a competition in me. I want no one else to succeed.” Now, I know that he goes crazy and beats the preacher kid’s head in with a bowling pin at the end of the movie, but these words ring true to me. And I can live with other people succeeding, just so long as it doesn’t affect my success. I will get every last one of these items and I will get them all for killer deals.

But not for another twelve hours. Ugh.

I’ve come up from playing WoW to join my family for Thanksgiving dinner. I’m not a gaming nerd, actually, I played football in high school and lettered as a right tackle. I have a really hot girlfriend; my parents said it was only family that could come over for dinner, though. Shame, really, I wanted my cousion to really see how much hotter my girl is than his. Facebook just doesn’t do her justice. Oh well, he should know it anyway, his girlfriend’s a cow.

Sitting at the table while everybody feigns an answer of what they’re thankful for is quite a chore. God. Family. America. How about somebody says something different for once? We all know nobody really means that when they say it. My cousin says he’s thankful for all three things and then mentions his girlfriend. I think that Family, God and America would be pretty upset to hear their name thrown in with the hideous girl that he dates. The funny thing is that my friend Casey thinks she’s hot. But he’s never really been able to get girls, so his taste is pretty desperate at this point. He only had one girlfriend all three years of high school. She wasn’t too hot either, I don’t know why he dated her so long.

The thankful parade reaches me and I stand up to give an actual honest answer to what I’m thankful for:

Two fifty inch plasma HD TVs.
Zenith surround sound system.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Assassin’s Creed 2

All for killer deals.

“I guess that means you’re going to Target at 5 in the morning?” My aunt says, bemused.

I nod my head slyly and sit down. My mother glares at me. I’m thankful for her and everything, but I figured whatever is on my mind most at that time is probably what I’m really thankful for. Even when people are asked about it, they don’t actually think about what they’re thankful for, they only think about what response they can give to avoid looking like a jerk.

Dinner gets over and my cousin and I play the first Modern Warfare game for a while to pass the time. The rest of the family is in the other room watching some stupid Pixar movie. Shrek or something. My cousin is horrible at the game; I only face a real challenge when I play online. It’s a good thing I’m getting the new game in the morning; I’ve completely mastered all of the levels.

I finish owning my cousin in the desert stage and we decide to watch a movie before going to sleep. We pop in Transformers 2. I don’t even think the movie’s that cool, but Megan Fox runs around a lot in it, so I can’t complain. My girlfriend gets mad when I tell her she would look better with her hair dyed like Megan Fox. I don’t really know why it pisses her off; if you can change yourself to look better, do it. I look better with bleached tips, so I bleach them.

My alarm goes off. 4:05 AM. I wake my cousin up and he moans. I tell him to hurry up or I’m leaving him. He reminds me that he’s the one driving, so I just tell him to hurry up. We get ready pretty quickly. I check my wallet to make sure all my cards are present and we head out the door.

I arrive at Target and there are already something like forty people queued up out front. These losers. Did they have Thanksgiving dinner in line or something? Oh well, I’m still pretty big from football and the people in front of me are mostly overweight moms and pencil-necked Pokemon nerds. It will be pretty easy to overpower them.

We wait a little bit longer and my cousin starts talking about some book he’s reading. I like books, but mostly memoir books. Well, mostly memoir books by Peyton Manning. He babbles on, but I stop listening once I see a figure with a red vest walk to the doors and begin unlocking them. The crowd begins to rouse and I get my game face on.

Two fifty inch plasma HD TVs.
Zenith surround sound system.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Assassin’s Creed 2

All for killer deals.

That’s my focus. Nothing else. The doors open and everybody begins to rush inside. I successfully push through about fifteen people to make it inside the store before them and my hunt begins. Top priority – The plasma TVs, $300 each. Insane deals. Absolute musts. I put my running skills to the test and pass up a few string bean kids and a short plump woman that looks like George Costanza.

I reach the electronic section with the plasma screens. There’s already a guy who has the first two in his shopping cart and is reaching for another one. There are four left. I’m still OK. I tap my foot impatiently as he reaches for the next one. He’s slowly budging it off the shelf and my hand starts shaking. I don’t have time for this. I need to get moving. I ask him if he needs any help, but he says he’s fine. There are more people that are accumulating in the store and my chances of getting the rest of my items are going down. The TVs are my top priority, but I need to get out of here with one hundred percent of what I came in for. He slowly inches the TV screen off the shelf. I offer my services one more time and he responds in an annoyed manner that he’s got it. That’s it. I reach into his shopping cart and take out the two TVs that he has in there and speed off. I hear him yell something as I run toward the gaming section, but I just tell him to get the other TVs because I’m in a hurry.

My cousin meets up with me and I tell him to watch over the TVs while I get the games. He agrees and I rush over to the aisle with Call of Duty 2 and Assassin’s Creed 2. Suddenly, my speed skills are rendered moot, as I run into a crowd of about fifty people all rushing toward the games. I find myself caught in the middle of the siege of people and unable to move my legs as much. This doesn’t faze me, I played right tackle in high school; I know how to get through people. I lock my fists together and begin shoving people out my way. Several others are doing this as well, but not to the degree that I am. Nobody’s going to get those two games over me. I’ve prepared way too long for this. As I mow down people in front of me, I reach a point where I have stopped feeling the ground beneath me. There is a squishiness beneath my shoes and I then realize it’s a person’s face on the ground. I can’t stop now. People are still pushing. The games are only thirty dollars each. That’s half off. I’d stop and help that person if it were any other circumstance, but I promised myself that I’d get every last item on my list.

Finally I reach the glass pane display with the shining light on my two games for everybody to see. There are several copies left and the salesperson hands me both of them upon request. My mission is almost complete. I turn to head to the sound system aisle, but I’m trapped with all the other people still trying to get their games. I begin to squeeze out, but nobody is budging. Can’t these idiots see that I need to get out of here? I’m trying to be nice on the way out but everybody keeps pushing against me. I’m right up against the glass and I can’t move because of the current of people opposing me.

I stand there getting more and more aggravated at the fact that I can’t move; I even try some of my right tackle maneuvers, but the number of everyone has grown too large. I try to call up my cousin to see if he can go get the sound system, but he doesn’t answer his phone. Where the hell is he? I can’t believe I brought him, I should have brought Casey. Suddenly this short, fat high schooler with a bowl cut starts pushing against me and literally sends me back a few steps. My lower back hits one of the display controllers for a Wii sticking out from the glass pane. Ok. I’m done. I grab the stupid kid by his head and swing him around and bash his head against the glass. It cracks (the glass, not his head… At least I think so) and he drops to the floor. I see an opening. A light at the end of the tunnel. I power towards it before people can close it up again. I leap out of the crowd of people and I’m free.

With the two games tucked under my armpit, which is getting slippery from all the sweat, I high tail it over to the sound section. I turn around a corner of iPod docs and there it is — A single Zenith DA3520 Home Theater System remains, and it sits solely with the 120 dollar price tag, waiting for me. I advance towards it, but then my peripherals pick up another figure. I look to my left. It’s Casey. I then see that he’s also eyeing the same box of electronic goodness that I am. Casey’s my best friend and he’s a damn good Black Friday shopper, but he will not be the victor this morning. I promised myself I’d get every item on my list, come hell or high water. I don’t know if this situation would be classified under either, but best friend or not, he’s not getting MY Zenith home theater system.
“Hey man,” he says to me, pleasantly.
“Hey Casey,” I say. “You can come over to my house whenever you want to check out the system, once I set it up.”
“Oh, I don’t think so!”
With that we both make a mad dash towards the box. He’s faster than me, but I’m bigger, he reaches the Zenith box right before me but I pounce on him and we both go sliding across the floor of Target with our hands on the system. In an effort to gain leverage, I heave my elbow back at Casey and land a blow square on his nose. He lets go of the sound system and goes into the fetal position to clutchhis nose which has started trickling blood. Well, the blood coming from his nose is more than a trickle, but he’ll be fine. I climb to my feet in a dazed manner and compose myself. I reach down in my pocket to grab my phone and hear Casey rolling around on the ground yelling obscenities at me. Geez, Casey. He may have the mouth of a seller, but he could never take hard hits in football practice.
I call my cousin and again there’s no answer. Dammit, where the hell is he? I need to get in line before they get too long. Whatever, I’m sure he’s already in line. My cousin may not be the coolest of kids, but he’s pretty sharp in these situations. I hustle over to get in the check out line and finally stop to take a breath. My body hasn’t had this much adrenaline pumping through it since the forth quarter of the state championship game. I need to start working out again, this is a rush.
As the line gets closer to the clerk, I reach for my wallet and find, to my horror, nothing but an empty pocket with a large tear in it. Fuck. I holler out loud with fury and several people stare at me with a collective contorted expression on their faces. I turn to head back to the gaming area because I figure that’s where my pocket was torn. Dammit. I should be walking to my cousin’s car by now. I head back towards the gaming department and I see paramedics walking in and taking some random guy out in a stretcher. Geez, these Black Friday things are crazy. All of a sudden I see my cousin. And he doesn’t have the TVs with him! What is his g**damn problem? I start walking over to strangle him when I notice the two men in black uniforms with him. In an instant, all three of them look up at me and my cousin points me out. From out behind them steps the guy I stole the TVs from. Are you kidding me? He really got upset about that? I can’t believe this is going on.
I figure the TVs are a loss. Shit. I’ll still get them somehow; those two TVs are probably going to be put away, but they’ll restock them later today. I’ll come back with a hat and scarf on or something so they won’t recognize me. The two security guards and my cousin and the douche bag I won the TVs over are about twenty feet from the exit of the store and walking toward me. Wallet or not, I’m going to get these items back to my house. I lift my foot up defiantly to the two candy ass security guards and book it towards the doors to make my escape.
They realize I’m doing this as I speed to the doors and turn to go after me, but there’s no way they’re going to beat me. I’ll be at the door of my cousin’s car before they get outside the store. I am five feet from the door; this is it, I’m almost free, fresh air and great gaming awaits me at home. As I stick my hand out to push open the door, a push cart with my two HDTVs for 300 dollars each (killer deal) slides out recklessly in front of me. For a split second I feel like I’ve been blessed and I’ll be able to push these bad boys out to my car as well.
Two fifty inch plasma HD TVs.
Zenith surround sound system.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Assassin’s Creed 2

Awesome.
But before I can stop, I collide with both of them as they domino over and I fly forehead first into the glass doors of Target. I go through the door and land on the other side on my stomach as shards of glass bounce around me. I look up with my head spinning to see the security guards approaching me.
*******
I’m out the door right after Thanksgiving dinner and on my way to Wal Mart. The list has been running through my head ever since I saw the deals listed in the newspaper. This time I’m bringing Casey with me and not my stupid cousin who rats me out when they think he’s the one who stole the TVs from the guy. I figure with Casey, it’s best to join forces, and he forgave me pretty quickly for breaking his nose; he knows how competitive I am. Plus I had already done it once in practice and he his nose is pretty Owen Wilson to begin with. The TVs didn’t turn out to be such a big deal, the kid whose head I cracked against the glass was hurt pretty badly, but I only had to go to jail for three months with a plea and obeyance. The five hundred hours of community service kind of sucks, though, but whatever, I’m used to physical labor.
I’m doing things much smarter this year, I’m going to be first in line and rely on my speed more than my force. There aren’t any laws against speeding.
A forty eight inch Plasma HDTV.
Grand Theft Auto V
Halo 4
Pioneer subwoofers

Oh yeah. Killer deals.

New Super Mario Bros.

Ubisoft continues the conspiratorial storyline of assassins versus templars with the recent release

Ubisoft continues the conspiratorial storyline of assassins versus templars with the recent release of Assassin’s Creed 2.

Venice is for lovers ...or assassins.

AC2 tells the story of Ezio Auditore de Firenze, an assassin in Renaissance Italy, and Desmond Miles, a near-future descendant of Ezio. Ezio is out to get revenge on a group of conspirators for the unjust killing of some members of his family. The game plays like a typical third-person action game, with some stealth and platforming elements. The controls, for the most part, are tight, however because the controller buttons are context sensitive sometimes Ezio does not always perform the action the player wants to do. There are a few good things about the game as well as some bad.

The first good thing that is noticed is how gorgeous the game looks. Character models are extremely well detailed, down to the little details such as a character’s hair style or beard. Ezio moves fluidly through the world, and when he performs a killing attack animation they look so beautiful and deadly they will make the player cringe. The historical accuracy of the game is another great aspect. Many of the main characters, including the main antagonist, are real people who lived during that time period. The conspiratorial story, while it does get a bit confusing and strange near the end, is very well written and mashes together Ezio’s story in Renaissance Italy and Desmond’s near-future story. Many of the repetitive parts of the last game, which were previously necessary to upgrade the character’s health, are still in the game, but no longer a requirement. The player now upgrades Ezio’s health by buying new armor and weapons. The missions are also more varied than the last game in the series, not only including assassination missions but timed races, stealth missions, and courier missions.

Like previously mentioned, the controls sometimes do not do exactly what the player wants, but those times are few and are easy to get used to. While the story gets a bit confusing near the end, it is obvious the developers are setting the story up for another game. One other confusing thing about the story is why it takes place over a number of years in Ezio’s story. The player never gets the sense that actual time has passed for the characters in the game, because over the course of only a few seconds the story will jump forward a couple years.

A fight or a dance party? You decide!

This game is an obvious choice for any fan of action games. The graphics and character animations, especially Ezio’s killing animations, are gorgeous to say the least. The controls are tight, although sometimes they do not do exactly what the player intends. While the story does get a bit confusing at times, it is very well done and engaging. The fact that a majority of the main characters were real people during Renaissance Italy makes the game even more interesting. For fans of the original game, and any fan of third-person action games, this is a must play.

Wow, it’s been pretty much forever since I last blogged. I better not make a habit out of this

Wow, it’s been pretty much forever since I last blogged. I better not make a habit out of this. So ya, anyways… Where to start.

I may as well say it now, I’ve completed only one thing on my list. LAME! I played DDR with my friend after we went to watch 2012 (And totally owned at it 8D) I even had the opportunity to hit someone with a rubber chicken (#60)! Hmm. Well, I’ve got someone’s address to write to them AND I’ve got the opportunity to buy a bobblehead for someone for Xmas. And I might even learn a little guitar…

Bah, 2012 wasn’t as good as people made out it was. Some parts were wayyyyy too Hollywood. What I mean by this is that some bits were a little frickin’ predictable. I mean seriously, what are the odds that driving away from an erupting.. Well.. Ground, that the flying pieces of lava and rock and allsorts don’t hit you? I mean COME ON. For an action-filled disaster movie, I guess it was okay. For the movie of the century, chyeah I doubt it.

Hmm… Social life! I have one now New-ish friend inviting me to play pool every Tuesday (Call him D).. Isn’t that awesome? Uh, no. I suck at pool. Learnt that out the hard way last Tuesday and there’s noooo way I’m going to get better. But, being the gentleman he is, he’s offered that next Tuesday I could have a separate table with him so he can ’show me the ropes’… Suspicious <_< He apparently talks about me every now and then when he’s around his friend’s (We’ll call him T) and T appears to really want me and D together. I met that very friend at pool, he’s nothing like I thought he’d be. Though, he did drop a hint as we were leaving the pool place that went like this:
T : So am I dropping you off at yours, Vix?
Me : Um yah, in *insert my town name here*, is that okay?
T : Yah I guess, I just thought you’d be over D’s house for the night *sly grin*
Silly T. But yah, he’s awesome. Even bought me a drink n_n Also, in other news, the guy from the Skindred gig (mentionned in post um.. 2) is a little pushy. The age difference is like 4 years so yah.. I don’t know. He keeps wanting me to go over and he likes seeing me in cosplay which is a little weird but I don’t know.. These new friends are real awesome though :3

Universityyyyyy! AGH! My teacher has only JUST finished my damn reference for my UCAS application! Sucks. Suckssuckssucks. I’m not going to get ANY offers from Universities, am I? I mean, my personal statement is pretty much finished and the person in charge of sending them off says it’s good but damn my teacher.

Still need a dangly phone charm. I’m bored of Bidoof now and the Pokémon sticker from it came off. Now I get people asking me why the hell I’ve got a beaver in a neckerchief attatched to my phone. It makes no sense. I think I’ma buy a Hello Kitty charm from the mall next time I’m out.

AAAAAAAHHH! LADY GAGA! She’s so awesome, ne? I watched her video for Bad Romance the day it aired which was rad. I heard her video for VideoPhone got leaked onto the internet for like a half hour or something? Eh, I wish I’d seen it. I totally have tickets to go see her in Nottingham in March. How awesome is that? VERY. Final Fantasy XIII is out in March too, isn’t it? Wow, March will be a good month ^_^

Speaking of games.. My dad just got me Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition, Grand Theft Auto VI, Prototype and Assassin’s Creed 2. And d’you know what sucks the most…? I never have any damn time to play on my Xbox! D’: Maybe during the holidays… I’m still trying to complete RockBand and GuitarHero too though so.. Meh.

I’ve decided to end these from now on with a DTWLED thing. Me and my friends text this to each other when we’re bored to get a conversation started. Each letter stands for: Doing, Thinking, Wearing, Listening, Eating, Drinking. So um.. Yah.

Doing : Attempting my Psychology assignment and Biology reading task. Waiting for my driving instructor to arrive in a half hour.

I have played this game since Friday – i had played the first assassins creed and i thought that it was a very original game. This 2nd game is very similar and just improves on the original game.

The missions are more varied and the gameplay is faster- especially the climbing. The graphics are good and the animation scenes really absorb you into the story.

Another good thing about this game is the way that you can gather more weapons such as swords, daggers, axes etc. Also there are some interesting new items such as smoke grenades which are good for evading enemies. You can assassinate guards in all sorts of ways which means you can be playing this for hours practising the perfect kill.

The game gets a real good balance of being a lone assassin but you can still fight with others and hire people to help you throughout the game. Another new feature is that you can swim.

Overall i think that this is a very good game- its better than the first. Well worth a try if you like games such as prince of Persia, tomb raider or the first assassins creed

Film Rating: 7.5/10

Developed by Ubisoft’s Hybride Technologies, the visual effects studio behind 300 and Sin City, Assassin’s Creed: Lineage combines live action and computer generated imagery (CGI) to explore the events that happen just before the Assassin’s Creed II game starts. The short films revolve around Ezio’s father, Giovanni Auditore da Firenze, and give insight on the game’s back story and universe.

The short films will whet the appetite of game players and fans of this type of cinematography in advance of the in-store release of the video game on November 17, 2009. Assassin’s Creed: Lineage will also introduce some of the characters that players will meet in the game: both foes and friends of the family, like Lorenzo de Medici, the Italian statesman and de facto ruler of the Florentine Republic during the Italian Renaissance period.

All three episodes from the new Assassin’s Creed: Lineage short movies makes its debut on YouTube. Below is the full movie. Enjoy!

Assassins Creed 2 contains some great ideas and is an excellent addition to the franchise. It feels more expansive and just overall larger than it’s predecessor. Most of all, the Storytelling is some of the most powerful I have seen in a game. Sure you see it coming from a mile away but the illusion of the likability of all the characters makes their story to powerful to end. Visually this game is superb, it captures all the aesthetic parts of italy from florence to Venice with such ar’e moire. The italian language that people keep speaking is frustrating if you do not put the subtitles on but for me it made the game all that much more believable. The Game has been expanded huge on the collectable part and everything feels like the Ocarina of Time…which isn’t a bad thing. It’s just epic. This is my game of the year, and I love it.

I prefer a video game with a story: otherwise what carries you through? To achieve a certain skill level? Bragging rights? Not all that interested. But games with a good story are just so addicting!
So we have purchased all of the Halo series over time but in the past week or so I actually went through the entire campaigns for 1, 2, 3 and ODST at the normal level. One night I stayed up past 4 finishing off the last. The online games can be fun (especially Halo 1 on the PC and ODST Firefight) but I’m not as drawn to these as much as to the storied campaign. I really like the history of the Forerunners, the Covenant and Master Chief/Cortana: it’s engaging and interesting with lots of twists. One day you’re fighting the Covenant and then the Flood and then you are allied with the Covenant against Prophets or the Flood or both. And in ODST there’s a lot of back and forth movement in the time line which grew on me, even though I was annoyed by it at first.
Again, it’s the story in Assassin’s Creed that drew me in. It is fascinating and involves both the future and the past in an interesting way. I like the fact that it’s a Canadian game and that it merges in real history as part of the experience. I also love the climbing and leap of faith abilities of Altaïr. I haven’t tried the newly released sequel yet but I’ve still got to finish the first one.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is quite a different animal. Although I have tried other COD titles they haven’t proved to be as interesting to me as the Halo series. What can I say, I’m a sci-fi fan and writer. In this case it was the hype that attracted me even though I haven’t tried Modern Warfare 1 (I didn’t even know the story line carries on from it until after). I’ll admit I was interested in what was drawing so much interest. Activision has created an interesting game though and it is quite different in that your characters actually die in the game. I don’t mean they die because your skill and luck failed and you were killed, I mean that the characters in the story line who you have assumed actually die. And by betrayal. It left quite a cold taste in my mouth. I don’t like all the violence in shoot ‘em up games like these normally but Modern Warfare 2 really brings it over the top. In the end I find it, surprisingly, an anti-war game. The graphics are so realistic, stunning and blah blah blah that I felt dirtied by the act of playing. But the story made it even more so. After this game I find it even more amazing that mankind has been addicted to war for so long. I’m glad I went through with the experience of doing the Modern Warfare 2 campaign but I’d rather be playing Halo or Assassin’s Creed.
In the end of this marathon of playing these games I am glad to get it out of my system. I’ll stay play, occasionally, but I need to get more done of a creative nature!

A resposta é nenhum.

Bengals, Kitna, and Carson.

Nothing like good football on Sunday. Today was pretty good. Nice surprise was the Cleveland vs Detroit game. Nothing like 2 crappy teams performing like its a playoff game between 2 actually good teams. And I’ve warmed up to the Detroit Lions’ crappiness over the years. Its the Kitna connection. Kitna was the replacement QB for the injured Carson in the 2006 season playoff game. Carson Palmer was injured on the opening play and Kitna went on to lose with the Bengals. Since then Kitna had a short stint as starting QB with the Lions and is now backup for Tony Romo. Bengals didn’t too well their following seasons. They Bengals have a shot this season even with the bizarre loss today against the Oakland Raiders.

Raiders, Titans

Speaking of. The Oakland Raiders is a crazy franchise. So far this season they have strangely squeaked wins by Philly and now Cinnci. Another 3 win team – Titans with Vince Young. Always thought he was a good player, he has Monday Night Footballs honors to continue to prove it this season. He faired much better in his NFL start than other newbie quarterbacks this year.

Viking Favre Peterson

This guy is old with some badass younguns with him. There are the constant jokes about the media and fans slurping him up but he’s such an easy sell. If I tell my non football fanatic friends hey there’s this 40 year old dood playing football and he’s damn good, they’re impressed. Add Peterson and everygame will be easy to entertain.Vikings of course had another great game thisweek against Seattle.

Steelers and Polamalu

Nice overtime win over Steelers by the KC Chiefs. I saw Troy Polamalu on Fallon some weeks ago (with January Jones, woo!) and he may be my new fave player. Too bad the Madden Curse persisted this year. till Next time.

Assassin’s Creed 2

Been playing this on 360 lately. Good decent game. The underlying engine hasn’t changed much. This really should have been how good the first game was. Nice addicting collection missions keep the game length going. Good story and I feel Italian playing it.

Veredicto final: Sobresaliente, 9.25

I remember when the first game was announced and the first trailer was shown. Then I was excited but, later the more I saw the less my excitement became. Now I happy that I passed that title up with its liner missions. Glitches and clunky gameplay. So now we get the sequel Assassin’s Creed 2. Did the crew learn from their mistakes and fans advice?

POSITIVES

Story – You really get into the main characters life before and after he becomes an assassin.

Missions – Lots more variety then the last game. Still could use more thou.

Voice Acting – Im happy the have Italian accents and speak the language from time to time.

Shops and clothing color customization

NEGATIVE

Controls – Argh! While not that bad, sometimes I feel like Im playing a Tomb Raider game.

Opening Gameply – Such a waste of time and a terrible first impression.

Scene changes – Why is it necessary to blind me with bright white lights 1/8 of the time.

NIT-PICKING

I really hate all the future segments and story lines. I think they take away from the flow and style of the main game.

Needs more array of weapons and armor.

I like the game to have more stealth gameplay elements.

CONCLUSIONS

It’s true the sequel is vastly superior to the original. That is how a sequel should be. However, the game still has some issues that carried over. Controls just feel clunky, too many times I couldn’t pick up items and bodies. I jump off walls when I did want to and I hate having to hold down a run button. I can only wonder what the story of the assassin’s will be but hope the developers cut the future crap. I say the game is worth $45.

For those who don’t know, Assassin’s Creed is a computer game that was released couple of years ago and is due to have a sequel. This excellent short movie, made of 3 parts or episodes, is actually a prequel to the Assassin’s Creed 2 story.

Overall synopsis:

When the Duke of Milan is brutally murdered, Giovanni Auditore an Assassin – is dispatched to investigate the crime. His mission: determine who is responsible and why. The answers he uncovers implicate Italys most powerful families reaching all the way back to the Vatican itself. As Giovanni draws closer to the truth, he becomes hunted himself. He must expose the conspirators before he joins their ever growing list of victims
