Problematic against shielded opponents and takes a while to drop foes, as individual bullets aren’t that damaging. Reliable but not impressive at medium and long ranges. You’re also likely to run out of ammunition in a clip before you kill an enemy, so switch to your other weapon to finish the job.

Accuracy good at short and medium range. Good all around if used right. Very good when assisted with a grenade. It is the default weapon, when you die you will spawn with it, unless the settings have been changed.

But the global meltdown coupled with the proliferation of copycats has left the Russian manufacturer, Mikhail Kalashnikov and his Izhmash arms factory in financial turmoil.

The elderly chief weapons designer lamented the flood of AK-47 look-alikes from factories in at least eight countries. He said, “there are counterfeits all around the world now which are plainly not of the same quality as the Russian example.”

The famous AK-47 is said to be a Russian export success story, being the preferred weapon of around 60 armies worldwide, but the financial crisis is threatening the manufacturing company’s existence as able supplier of the Russian weapon to the international market.

These guns should be illegal. What practical purpose do they have other than killing human beings?

Chris Broughton, the man who brought an assault rifle and a handgun to the Obama event last week, attended a fiery anti-Obama sermon the day before the event, in which Pastor Steven Anderson said he was going to “pray for Barack Obama to die and go to hell”, Anderson confirmed to TPMmuckraker today.” The sermon was titled “Why I Hate Barack Obama”.

It’s impossible. I keep falling in love with this band. This is one of my favourite songs from their new album. Tears at the heart strings. Vimeo has a higher quality version, it looks amazing on full screen. It really baffles me. I find it really psychedelic and quite different to the style of videos they’ve made previously.

In other news, I got more tattooing done yesterday, but alas, it is not yet finished. I need one more session to finish the shading. It’s looking so good. I will take some photos later on.

Also, today I bought an assault rifle necklace.

Ernest Hancock, who had a 9 mm pistol & was with an assault rifle-wielding cohort at the Obama event in Arizona yesterday, was a vocal supporter and friend of right-wing anti-government militia members who were convicted of conspiracy and weapons charges in the 90s.

The Viper Militia was charged with plotting to blow up federal buildings in 1996.

A man toting an assault rifle* was among a dozen protesters carrying weapons while demonstrating outside President Barack Obama’s speech to veterans on Monday, but no laws were broken. It was the second instance in recent days in which unconcealed weapons have appeared near presidential events.

I’ll ask the question again. Well?

I’m thinking the guy who had the audacity to show up at President Barack Obama’s Phoenix speech with an assault rifle strapped to his back actually did his cause a disservice.  He was quoted as saying, “I think that people need to get out and do it more so that they get kind of conditioned to it.”  Have you seen the photo?  This guy in a pressed, white, button down shirt has an AR-15 semi-automatic assault rifle over his shoulder and what appears to be some type of pistol holstered to his hip.

In response to his statement, doesn’t it beg the question:  Why?  This wasn’t even a speech about the Second Amendment.  This was about health care and the simple fact that recent town hall meetings across the country have become so charged with emotion is enough to warrant the banning of citizen weaponry at those events!  In a normal day, why would an ordinary citizen need a semi-automatic weapon strapped to his back as he heads to his desk job?

Imagine if all gun owners actually brought their weapons to political rallies as a matter of habit!  Talk about intimidation of the worst kind!  I know this guy was all perfectly legal in Arizona.  I just don’t think he was convincing those of us that approach gun rights with a little more reserve to rally to his defense.  There’s a time and a place, buddy.  This wasn’t it.

While I will never understand the need to own or carry a firearm, I do believe in the right to own one. However, there needs to be a limit as to where one can be carried. For example, you do not carry a semi-automatic assault rifle to a Presidential town hall meeting. Obama has made no threat to eradicate guns; and even if he did, there would be no chance that the law would ever make it through congress. Not going to happen.

So to all you wingnuts out there carrying loaded guns to political rallies, KNOCK IT OFF! You are not helping your cause. There is no place for loaded weapons near our President. Had someone shown up at a Bush town hall meeting, would the NRA be backing that persons right? I doubt it.
