That’s a secret I will tell!:-)

Jag heter Astrid  och bor med min fästman Magnus och katten Nalle i Nacka, en förort till Stockholm. I jul har jag ungefär ett år kvar med studierna, blir Civilekonom! Några månader till befinner jag mig i Tyskland på utbytestermin. Om nästan exakt två år gifter vi oss, så en del av bloggen kommer såklart handla om förberedelserna inför detta.

Anledningen till att just jag ville starta en blogg är att jag tyckte att det saknades en bra, välskriven blogg som  täcker in det mesta gällande bröllop, äktenskap och allt kul som hör till! Dessutom vill jag göra något alldeles eget, och att starta en blogg om något man är intresserad av är ett litet, men ändå ett steg på vägen.

Jag hoppas ni kommer tycka det är roligt att följa mig och Magnus!

I was lucky to stumble on it sa TV5 one boring Wednesday night while channel surfing (local, no cable tv at the dorm)  (Dating ABC) sometime this November (I think). 

I never thought I’d ever get a chance to see this. I was on night shift back then when it was shown in theaters. 

But like they say in Filipino, kung minsan, sadyang mapagbiro ang tadhana. 

I had high expectations about the film. Primarily because it’s indie. And then it’s about the call center industry (where I presume a lot of talented, creative individuals pass time while waiting for their rockets to come, and where I presume he had some experience with). 

And also because Ned Trespeces studied at the UP Film Institute. 

Pasensya na talaga sa director at screenwriters ng My Fake American Accent (this is very Filipino—I mean the apologizing), but i don’t think the movie is quite ripe for production. They should’ve incubated this for a year more. That will give them a lot of time to think everything over (scripts, casting, dialogue delivery, location probably… etc).

I am suddenly reminded of Hiro Nakamura’s apologetic bow to a certain lady in Heroes before hitting her with a baseball bat.

The movie is very pretentious. Tapos parang wrong casting, lalo na si Buster at si Eric. ‘Di mukhang “galing PMA” si Buster. Parang pinipilit niyang magpakalalaki. The Eric guy’s kind of the same too. The movie appears to try to build an impression to the viewers that the Eric Guy is kind of a “sizzling hunk” but he looked (and acted) lame, pale and whimpy.

Mailes Kanapi’s acting of TL Joanna Seva’s character is an exaggeration. She could’ve toned it down a bit to make it look more authentic. Unless exagerration is the director’s main point.

Also, parang ‘di natural ‘yung exchange ng conversation between the characters. They appeared to be waiting for prompts (for the most part) or they’re probably just a bit too tensed the whole time. I would like to commend the QA guy (Martin de la Paz) though. In the movie, he is the closest semblance of what some L2 agents are when at work.

But that doesn’t save the movie from its crass dialogues and fake emotions (I guess that’s where the movie title gets its drive).

And Butch Francisco of the Philippine Star enjoyed watching it?

I don’t believe him.

And the burglar in the story! How he waxed poetic for the succeeding 5 or 10 minutes (and I can’t believe how “forever” five minutes is) is just dumbfounding. Darn, I know putting a customer on hold for 2 minutes seemed such a long time (yes I tried that with Globe POSTPAID and SMART POSTPAID and the MERALCO HOTLINE back when an electric post in our area got torched sometime last year).

But between listening to the hold music and the burglar’s elegy, I’d rather have the music. 

The gay director in the film who dumped Astrid’s screenplay is likewise worthy of note. Now that’s authentic. 

I have this sinister feeling that most Filipino Lit and Writing Giants in the Philippines are like that.

And that reminded me of the fast-rising Genaro Gojo-Cruz.  

There’s a lot of unbridled angst and political/socio-cultural commentaries everywhere in the movie, waiting to burst and impose itself to the viewers, and intensified by matching camera angles meant to underscore and ram hordes of statements heart-rending “life lessons” in one sitting.

It turned out annoying in every true sense of the word.

At some point I doubted my thoughts about the film. Which somehow explains why it took me long to publish this online. But when I browsed the net for comments about the film, I realized I am apparently heading the right direction.

I still could not forget how many scenes and dialogue exchanges sent shivers to my bones. I thank God I never attempted watching this in a theater. I didn’t have the time anyway when that was shown in theaters.

It could’ve been a waste of cash.

Wundernice. Eine Woche lang von Kiwi und Baguette ernähren. Das soll mir mal einer nachmachen.

• Aufstehen (der schlimmste Part)
• Arbeiten
• Aufräumen und Staubsaugen (der allerschlimmste Part)
• Auf Nelli und Melanie warten
• Den Delhaize stürmen auf der Suche nach Frühstück und Mikrowellenpopcorn und BIER für 7 Personen
• Das 7 Wochen alte Nussbrot (ihr erinnert euch? SCHEISSE NUSSBROT!) einpacken und los!
• Bruxelles Innenstadt unsicher machen
• Gegen 4 Uhr so laaangsam zum Gare du Nord aufbrechen

Samstag

• die Deutschen begrüssen (wenn ich dazu noch in der Lage bin)
• Jump Ticket kaufen
• nach Hause düsen
• ganz leise die Treppen hoch
• sich häuslich einrichten
• frühstücken
• evtl. 2 Stunden schlafen
• zur Porte de Namur fahren
• shoppen, bummeln, labern
• Schokobar stürmen
• Panos stürmen
• Nachmittags dann Sightseeing: Palast, Grand’ Place, Maneken Pis, Kathedrale, etc.
• Fritten essen (weil wegen: Muss sein. Belgisch!)
• Schokoladenläden bestaunen
• Abends in Delirium und in die Markthallen und mal gucken, wie lange die so aufhaben

Sonntag

• Schlafen
• Frühstücken (wenn wir noch können…)
• De Brouckère und Krams
• Colasaufen bei Pizza Hut (umsonst nachfüllen)

Ansonsten bin ich da sehr frei, was die Freizeitgestaltung angeht

Ja, ich freu mich auf meinen 19. Geburtstag. Ich freu mich auf die Spackenzeit mit Melanie und Nelli, ich freu mich darauf, Nelli Französisch sprechen zu hören, ich freu mich darauf, Enten zu erschlagen, auf Steph, Astrid und Moi, auf ein Wiedersehen nach 2 1/2 Monaten, ich freu mich auf die Chocobar, auf’s Bier, auf’s Delirium, auf schlechtes Wetter (immer an meinem Geburtstag!), auf die Nuits Blache…

Das wird sehr sehr geil werden

Und bis dahin ernähr ich mich halt weiter von Kiwis

Erm, if the title of this needs any explanation you probably shouldn’t be reading. In the meantime, I shall go away and snigger some more to myself.

In October, two volunteers from the Netherlands, Astrid and Tita visited Moldova. They were here three weeks of which were visited several orphanages in the north of the country. A few days at  the end of  their trip they spent at the Association Neoumanist in the company of beneficiaries who remained enchanted with their encouraging presence. Astrid and Tita came with many board  games and objects for  the activities with the beneficiaries. Beneficiaries were excited to learn new board games and talk with new friends, which soon became the two volunteers.

Painting with them,elderlies  could express their feelings and imagination of the beautiful autumn that delight us out. Also wonderful was walking through town park, we enjoyed the colorful carpet of leaves.

International volunteers, as well as the local are deep appreciated  for their  work and big hearts by the Association members and beneficiaries. They are a source of light and selflessness, an example to follow for those who want to learn the art of giving!

În luna octombrie, două voluntare din Olanda, Astrid şi Tita au vizitat Moldova. Au fost aici trei săptămîni, dintre care au fost în vizită la mai multe internate din nordul  ţării.  Cîteva  zile de la finele lunii le-au petrecut la sediul Asociaţiei “ Neoumanist ” în compania beneficiarilor, care au rămas încîntaţi de prezenţa lor încurajatoare. Astrid şi Tita au venit cu multe jocuri şi obiecte pentru activităţile desfăşurate cu beneficiarii. Beneficiarii au fost entuziasmaţi să înveţe noi jocuri şi să discute cu noile prietene, ceea ce au devenit voluntarele în scurt timp.

Pictînd împreună cu ele, bunicuţele noastre şi-au putut exprima sentimentele şi imaginaţia cu privire la frumoasa toamnă care ne încîntă afară. De asemenea, minunată a fost plimbarea prin parcul localităţii, bucurîndu-ne cu covorul colorat de frunze.

Voluntarii internaţionali, cît şi cei locali sînd profund apreciaţi  pentru activitatea lor, de către membrii şi beneficiarii Asociaţiei. Aceştia sînt o sursă de de lumină şi altruism, un exemplu demn de de cei ce vor să înveţe arta de a dărui!

P.S. Astrid şi Tita au donat bani pentru beneficiarii proiectului Îngrijire la domicilu din care au fost procurate cele mai necesare lucruri solicitate de beneficiari. habe ich ja noch dafür, wenn eine Geschichte ein bißchen unglaubwürdig erzählt wird, weil man ein schwieriges Ziel erreichen will – siehe mein Eintrag Charlotte intelligent. Aber wenn es eine relativ einfache ist die man total versemmelt, dann ist das echt ein Ärgernis und Armutszeugnis für gut bezahlte Autoren! Erst einmal meine ich Astrid! Du meine Güte … muß man deswegen so eine schreckliche Frauenfigur erschaffen, um Werner zu einem weiteren Kind zu verhelfen?! Jedem Laien fiele da eine bessere Lösung ein.
Genauso schlimm aber auch die Liebesgeschichte zwischen Charlotte und Michael, bei der ich dauernd ne Krise krieg. Wenn man schon die bei SdL selten vorkommende Konstellation eines jüngeren Mannes mit älterer Frau wählt, dann soll man die gefälligst nicht so erzählen, als agierten da zwei unreife Teenager. Die Beiden sind ja wirklich nicht mehr auszuhalten! Dazu die schlechte Darstellung; Mona S. nur noch verkrampft und eindimensional grimmig und Erich A. übertreibt ständig mit Mimik und Gestik, als stünde er mit einem hochdramatischen Heldenepos auf der Bühne.

Immer und immer wieder  diese verpassten Chancen bei SdL, interessante Ideen/Geschichten auch einigermaßen gut umzusetzen! Das macht mich echt sauer!

Hi, i’m having new blog right now. I used to have astridarling as my main blog, but since i’m getting bored with previous blog, i declare my newest baby.. It’s astriddiction!

My aim by creating this blog is to give my deepest desire a room to talk. I, as a human have some interests in every day life. It could be experiences, idols, food, books, things, countries, hobbies, etc.

That’s why i name my first post as My Forever Positive Energy. I hope that this blog will gain positive energy in it. I loved to write and usually shared it in diary or notes. But as we all know that technology has been increased very powerful these days, so i decided to share my thoughts with everyone. So, I’m gonna share it here.

Also for those who really loved blog-walking (just like me!), i wished that my blog could be some-what inspiration for you.

Isch, vad längesen det var jag skrev nu. Fy! Var till och med tvungen att få Astrid att gästblogga så det iaf skulle se ut som jag levde. Nej, nu får jag ta och bättra på detta lite. 

Idag är det måndag, och även om måndagar vanligtvis är en hatdag för många, så var denna måndag helt underbar! Två lektioner och slutade vid elva! Åkte hem, bakade scones, tittade på scrubs och sov på soffan. Det regnade så mycket att jag sket i att sticka till gymmet. Blev till och med klar med den där historiesaken som legat och tyngt i nästan en månad nu. Antar dock att det kommer ännu mer att göra imorgon. Blöh! 

Känns som allt står lite stilla nu i november, händer aldrig något spännande och alla är trötta, sjuka eller deprimerade av regnet och kylan. Känner mig själv likadan. Har också något så grymt ont i nacken och har insett att jag aldrig mer ska hoppa omkring som en speedad duracell-kanin medan jag headbangar (kallas det headbanging om man “nickar” upp och ner i en allt för snabb fart?) som en idiot. Nej fy, ska nog också ta beslag på Elnas mobil och radera filmbevisen…
