Let me get this right out there. I love Olivia Munn but I hate how big of a cocktease she is. If you don’t watch G4’s Attack of the Show then you probably don’t really know what I’m talking about. You probably think that Olivia is just some crazy party girl that likes to put half-naked pictures out there for all of us pervs to look at. While I’d like to say you’re right, I can’t because you are wrong. Fucking wrong.

Olivia Munn while hot as fuck has stated several times that she doesn’t like taking random cock, doesn’t like making out with other girls, and on a recent episode of AOTS, would not fuck Michael Clarke Duncan. Now I don’t know about anyone else but when a lady won’t fuck the big black guy from The Green Mile then she obviously is not going to give it up to anyone. I love you Olivia but my blue balls do not. Thx.

If you haven’t heard of Olivia Munn, you need to watch more TV or attend more comic book conventions. For four years this fanboy trapped in the body of a homecoming queen has been the smoking-hot hosting half of the G4 network’s daily gear and gaming roundup, Attack of the Show! But tech geeks aren’t the only ones who’ve fallen for her—Hollywood has also noticed Olivia’s on-screen magnetism and willingness to do almost anything for a laugh (did you see her deep-throat a hot dog?). When did you first realize you were…well, kind of a nerd.

“I think it was eighth grade. I was in a military family, so by the time I was 13 I’d lived in six different places. I remember looking around that year and realizing that the one group that always takes you in is the geeks.”

Did you have a geek idol growing up?

“Punky Brewster. At the time I found her I was living in Utah—Mormon central, all these blond-haired, blue-eyed, all-American people. Then there was me, a complete tomboy with natty hair and polyester pants. I saw this girl on TV who looked and talked just like me and played with boys and didn’t care about getting dirty.”

You’re in The Slammin’ Salmon, and soon we’ll see you in Iron Man 2. Has the jump to film been intimidating?

“I was a big fan of Super Troopers, so working with the Broken Lizard guys was so much fun. For Iron Man I had to improv with Robert Downey Jr., which is like going up against LeBron in basketball. At one point he stopped and said, “Can we give a round of applause to Olivia, because she’s rocking it right now.” I was so happy I went through a McDonald’s drive-through on my way home and ordered two cheeseburgers and some fries.”

We have to ask: Are you dating anyone—or is there hope for us?

“I just broke up with my boyfriend, so I’m officially single. But one thing I find unbelievably annoying is all these guys in my life who want to save me. They’re like, “Do you feel alone?” Everyone’s turned into Oprah!”

Last night, I had the opportunity to assist and participate in a delightful event hosted by Gamers United.  Held at the Custom Hotel in Los Angeles, this event, in its third year, allowed attendees to donate video games (at least those not rated ‘M’ or Mature), video game accessories or peripherals, and similar items for a children’s hospital.  This year, Gamers United chose Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA as this year’s recipient.  A multitude of celebrity gamers, industry executives, members of the media, and other people were invited to give their time, share their concern, and discuss the positive aspects of gaming.

The Los Angeles chapter of the Entertainment Consumers Association sent an email asking for volunteers to help with the event.  I figured this would be a wonderful cause and decided to toss my name into the hat.

I arrived early at the hotel, despite traffic on the I-10 and 405 freeways.  The lobby, where the event was being hosted, was decorated with small candles and had a small bar off to the side.  A table was set up near the entrance to check-in guests and take their donations.  At one wall, a DJ Hero game was being assembled for people to play.  I met with a couple of organizers, including Chastity and Heather (sorry if I don’t remember their last names as I’m writing this).  Chastity introduced me to Richard, a writer for one of the gaming websites.  I spoke at length with Richard about the event, video games in general, and blogging.

The event started rather quietly.  A couple of guests arrived with their RSVPs and donations.  In addition to putting up the banner, I helped at the check-in table to accept and organize the donations.

There was a list of VIP guests schedule to arrive.  The first of these guests was Gregg Berger, a voice actor whose credits run too long for me to list (among them are Odie and Orson from “Garfield and Friends”, Eeyore from the Kingdom Hearts series, Cutter in Halo Wars, and Grimlock from “The Transformers”).  Other guests arrived at various times:  television host Kevin Pereira from G4TV’s Attack of the Show, Carlos Ferro (another voice actor who’s featured in the Assassin’s Creed series), and actor Alexis Cruz who played Skaara in Stargate: SG1.  Several members from the event’s media partners were there, especially Coin-Op.TV and NFamous, to interview these guests.  There were a few VIP guests that didn’t show up, even though they were on the list, like Kevin Sorbo and David Faustino.

The lobby was lively as everyone mingled, schmoozed, and talked.  A few guests stepped up to the turntable to play DJ Hero.  Some took pictures, in front of the banner or among guests in impromptu poses.  Several guests took the opportunity to network for future gatherings.  Chastity, in all her splendor, fluttered about the lobby, meeting with everyone and making sure they were having a good time (including myself).

For me, I stood in awe.  In fact, I don’t think I had any hors d’oeuvres or drinks the whole time.  I was impressed by the turnout for the event, even more so for the amount of donations.  The hotel provided a bin to help store them; by the end, it was nearly full.  Even Chastity was surprised and appreciative of the result.

The event, I personally believe, was a success.  People showed up, giving their time and their donations to help promote a good cause.  It also provided an opportunity to meet with others and create new networks.  In all, people united for the greater good.

Addendum:  I must give my apologies to Chastity for leaving without a proper good-bye.  Yes, I did have a good time… I just need to be more talkative.

Olivia Munn, I guess she is the host of something called “Attack of the Show”, heard of it?… Me either!  Anyway, I had no idea who this girl was until about a week ago, but after seeing her on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Last Call with Carson Daly… she may just be the future Mrs. Daniel Dudley… hell, I’ll be the future Mr. Olivia Munn for this girl! She’s just got this natural look about her… Damn!  Gentleman & Ladies… enjoy! (btw, has Atari ever looked that AmAzInG!?!)

Like most Americans, I watch regular TV a LOT.  Nielsen reports here that on average, Americans spend 161 hours (153 hours of linear TV + 8 hours of time shifted programs) watching TV every month!  I’m not THAT bad but I do channel surf a LOT; not an easy task given the lame remotes and current programming guide that *cough* Comcast *cough* has. 

I happen to catch G4’s Attack of the Show with Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn and it was really entertaining – fast paced, funny, and really well-done product reviews.  I’ll start tuning-in more often.  Their guest was Peter Facinelli - Dr. Carlisle Cullen to you Twilight fans – who was sporting enough to be part of their Breaking Dawn SPOOF video (I laughed). 

Peter also did a really great job demo’ing his new Vampire Transformer iTunes app ($2.99).  Basically, you load a picture of you or someone you love/hate.  The app has transparent vampire/monster underlay images to choose from.  Pinch or spread to size to your image  and rub the parts you want to add (horns, gashes, blood, backgrounds).  The underlying part comes through and appears on your own image.  Use several underlays to create a ghoulish picture.  The cool thing is that you can immediately share your new creation to twitter and facebook.

Note to Peter:  get a copy of that G4 segment and put it on Youtube – it’s better than the ones currently up there.

With over 100,000 iTunes apps out there so far, how do you find the good ones?  It’s not easy.  Sound like a familiar problem?  It’s the exact same dilemma that I just wrote about (see my post).  Millions of online videos in an on-demand environment – it’s overwhelming.  So how the heck do you find stuff?   For starters, the answer is that better-than-what’s-currently-out-there discovery process.

Ultimately though, as the space matures, it’ll come down to regular old marketing and advertising.  Online is just another distribution channel and you’ll have to spend money to gain attention and market share.  I’m sure those lucky apps that got featured on Apple’s “We’ve got an app for that” TV spots saw a nice bump in downloads/sales (right WhatBird?).  Those who can afford to market will have better sales/ views/ ads/ revenues.  With random exceptions, WOM and social networking will only take you so far, and you have to be really good at it.  Peter got valuable air time because of his celebrity status.  Not everyone is so lucky. 

When you launch your next iTunes app, webisode, or on-demand seminar, how will you get the word out?

Okay so I’m posting this late. Just a little over a week ago, I submitted a business card design to comedian and host of Web Soup, Chris Hardwick. He absolutely loved it. “HOLY CRAP this is AWESOME!!!!” were his exact words, caps included. He asked me to make more in wallpaper sizes with pay, of course. So I had a little project to do. After a few email exchanges, it was finally done. He praised me in his blog and mentions my son, Jacob(which I requested) and gave a quick link to my ValEmmich site. Very exciting. So I had a great start to my morning. I ended up going to bed around 4am and received a phone call around about 8/9-ish am from guess who, HSBC, my credit card company. Somehow I managed to convince HSBC to remove the late fee that was placed on my account and have $12 credit available. The only downside to convincing HSBC was that now when it comes to Friday, I’ll have $38 withdrawn from my account to take care of the bill and I should be back in good standings with them, so yeah I rock.

Other news as my day progressed I broke down and ended up asking my parents for more money so I could manage to get my meds tomorrow as I need them badly and to make it even better I also had to hit up HEB and get myself some cash so I could do some laundry. Laundry day is a horrible day, let me just tell you that, because everyone and their mom are doing laundry.

Anyways, I’ve been chilling almost every night with Jen and every now and then Leslie, but mainly Jen. I have to say Jen, I think, has converted me over to a somewhat Jonas Brothers fan. Tomorrow I’ll be watching my first episode of Jonas, wish me luck.

Oh and one last thing to mention, Christopher Cody Smith is back at my residential hall. It was so great of a day when he showed up, since it has been 40 days since anyone had seen him. I missed the guy. Oh well I think everything that has happened to me today has already been mentioned.

Oh and one more thing, I’m watching like my third movie tonight and the last 2 people here watching it with me are asleep I believe, which is kind of weird. Cody is holding a cig in his hand by habit and Brooke is just sleeping. LOL, this is so weird and yet so awesome.

I think I might go to bed right now as I will be opening the desk tomorrow at 1pm. Can’t wait tomorrow I’m watching Jonas!!! Woot, and I made a kick ass deal, I think unless I really did break it. The deal being that Jen is going to record Attack Of The Show for me on her DVR as long as I don’t tickle her, which I really can’t stop tickling her in the least bit, lol.
