Simon Cowell has admitted he has a crush on his X Factor co-star Cheryl Cole.

When asked if he found the Girls Aloud singer attractive, the pop mogul said: “You can’t not fancy her.”

Although Cowell did state that the feelings were one-sided, as he “probably fancied her more than she fancied him”.

Today the X Factor winner’s song choice was revealed as a cover of Miley Cyrus’ hit ‘The Climb’.

The first thing I say when I see Megan Fox is she is hot! I know that that’s a cliche and I find that more people actually don’t like her than like her, (I’m with the latter). But I’m not going to talk about Megan Fox, I just used her to get your attention since that’s how the world works these days. There are people out there with the same appeal but then if someone like Megan was talking in an unintelligent manner and had a bad attitude  then I’d be convinced that they were just really good eye candy and I’ll turn away before they open their mouth. On the other hand, there are people who look good and fortunately good goes beyond their appearance as who they really are is better. We will always have pretty people in the world but we won’t remember all of them as much as those who have pleasing personalities which leads me to my list of what makes someone hot… to me at least.

1. Your personality precedes you.

This is so important. When I see a good-looking person I often imagine them with matching traits, maybe it’s just me but most of the time I am only wishful thinking. It’s like in movies, sometimes I wish the characters that the actors played were really who they were off cam. As I have said, I tend to remember a personality more than a face. Beauty fades.

2. Please wait.

I am observant when it comes to people’s patience, you can tell a lot about someone when it comes to this. I don’t like it when people act up because they don’t get their way.

3. Oh so you’re good at… Everything???!

A bit of everything… that’s how I like it. Over-confidence sucks! Even if you were really good at something it’s sexier when it’s tamed.

4. Mmm… you smell good!

More often than not people with fairer skin have the ability to look as if they are always clean but this is NOT always the case and most of the time they are actually the other way around. I hate hearing when someone only showers once or thrice a week!!! Every day is supposed to be a new day, that means new knickers, I-can-smell-you-from-far-away and most importantly mmm… fresh breath!

5. A busy body literally.

I luuurve busy bods, not the ones who meddle in other people’s business but the ones who are too busy to. It’s a turn on for me when it seems like someone rarely has free time for some reason, I think that those who are always busy have healthier minds. I can’t sand sitting around all day getting nothing done.

6. My body is a temple.

One of the things that I highly admire in people is how well they take care of themselves; it’s either they exercise regularly, eat right, do yoga, are optimistic etc. For me it’s always a plus to hear that someone doesn’t smoke, drink or do anything beyond that. If you can take care of yourself then you can take care of moi!!! Oh and a little tat here or piercing there won’t hurt.

7. Do your own thing!

It’s a sexy thing to have your own thing. Everyone these days likes to follow the crowd and I know just a small amount of people who don’t and only focus on what they want to do and what they’re going to get out of it for themselves. People are out to get other people that somehow it’s becoming a rarity finding those who run their own race.

8. Say what you mean, mean what you say.

I don’t like liars. It’s not about being a goody two-shoes, everyone gets into messy things and if you can’t tell everyone the truth at least tell yourself. Honesty is a turn on!

9. Cheesier than cheese.

I’ll know when someone really means it and when I’m convinced I think it’s sweet. There is nothing wrong with being cheesy.

10. You’ll get far.

The sexiest thing to me about someone is their determination. Ambitions are one thing but determination is another, the difference is; ambitions are easy to say but staying determined is hard to do. It’s a major plus when someone is full of goals and is really set to achieve them.

Humans are by nature, trusting – and prone to be fooled by more attractive, innocent-looking faces. Still, humans are also by nature intelligent: and can learn a few tips to ensure they AREN’T being fooled.

Last night I went to the carry-out to get my usual #5 [combination lo mein and 2 egg rolls]. When I pulled out my money to pay for the meal, the cashier, a cute little Asian woman with long dark hair and the longest eye lashes I’ve ever seen, insisted that my bill was $2.15 more than usual.

“What the hell?!” Those long ass eye lashes must have blocked her vision as she was punching those numbers on the calculator pad. I’ve memorized the menu at the carry-out – and its prices and sales tax. I smelled a rat…no pun intended.

I don’t know where you’re from, but where I come from, people aren’t as frivolous as the rich folk in Bel Air. When I questioned Mingh Le on the sudden increase in price for my meal, her eyes shifted. The pitch in her voice raised an octave and her fangs grew long enough for me to mistake her for a character in the movie ‘Twilight’. This winch was lying to me!

Naturally I stood in the center of the carry-out, with all of the customers standing behind me to witness the scene as I yelled, “Liar! Liar! Pants on fire! Mingh Le, you are guilty and I’m about to pull your card and all of your kind…”

You can pretty much guess how that whole thing turned out.

The moral of this story is not that I received my order AND a complementary egg roll and jumbo iced-tea/lemonade mix, all for the price I would have normally paid; the moral is that you too can catch a lying mutha effer in the act if you only know what to look for.

Below are Hottywood’s tips on going all Sherlock Holmes and detecting if someone is lying to you. Pay close attention. These tips will save you a headache the next time you’re caught in a situation where you believe someone is stretching the truth.

First thing you gotta do is learn how to put your hormones in your back pocket. Pretty or handsome faces are likely to fool you into thinking the person is more trustworthy. Con artists, dates, and relationship partners are more prone to convince you they’re telling the truth. If you suspect you’re being lied to, don’t pick up a scorching hot cup of coffee to douse the liar with.  Instead, wave away those stars in your eyes and pay attention. 

Liars don’t wear signs on their foreheads. Especially pretty liars. Most people, like you, are closeted horn dogs and are thinking some wool covered sexual thoughts and are too distracted to see that they’re being told something that’s not completely true. Snap out of it! You’re not getting any…so redirect your focus and take control.

Once you’ve gained your ground like a player on a football field, you mustn’t be fooled by the stereotypes. Not all liars blink, dart their eyes away from you, rub their noses, or shift uncomfortably. In fact, practiced liars don’t do any of these things. They’ll give you a good, firm, look in the eye and feed you the most crystallized bullsh*t you’ve ever heard.

To get to know whether someone is lying to you, what you have to do is pay attention to their mannerisms. Ask yourself if this is a person who USUALLY rubs their nose, shifts uncomfortably, or darts their eyes? If this is normal behavior for them, then pay attention to DIFFERENT behavior.  Are they sweating perfusely, stuttering or farting excessively? 

Physical gestures will be limited and stiff and you will observe a minimum of arm and hand movements. The hand, arm and leg movement you do notice will be directed toward their own body, indicating that they are subconsciously trying not to draw attention to themselves, but to their words.  Though hog-tying and horse whipping sounds like a good idea, pull out a flashlight instead, and aim the flash directly onto their face to see if they crack under pressure.  This may be a little drastic for most, considering most people don’t carry spare flashlights, but it’ll definitely cut through all the red tape. If that doesn’t work, throw the perjurer against a wall and threaten to beat the truth out of them. 

Patience is a virtue.  Remember that cliche’ five minutes before you beat the cheat to a pulp.  Get them to talk a little.  Grill them like a hamburger.  Listen carefully for lack of detail in a story…or too much detail. A liar will want to sell you on the lie and will often be more verbose in explanations or answers. Silence or pauses in the conversation will be uncomfortable to them because they feel what they have said is being examined, therefore they will tend to interject into those normal conversational pauses with unnecessary details. This is a form of distraction to reduce scrutiny. Politicians and cheating mates are most commonly known to sink in this quicksand of a trap.

Since their story is being made up on the spot, casually get the liar to repeat the story by asking questions.  If your suspicions are true and you are being lied to, details of the story will be inconsistent. In the case of too many specifics, this will be obvious, because the liar will be talking way too much. Eye movements can tell you where the answer you are getting is originating. When someone is recalling information from memory as an answer to your question, their eyes will tend to look to their right. However if the answer is being created on the spot, the eyes will tend to look to their left.

We have all heard it said that the eyes are the window to the soul … the liar prefers to not have anyone peeking in those windows.

MORE DETECTIONS OF A LIAR

If challenged on some point or issue, a liar will immediately become defensive, whereas someone telling the truth will be more inclined to show offense and will be on the offensive to protect their honor and/or credibility. A liar will also feel discomfort when challenged and will often turn his or her head or body away from you.  A skilled liar will flip the script and put you at fault.  This is a mofo that’ll need to be slapped after you’ve pulled their card.

If you change the subject of a conversation quickly, a liar follows along willingly and becomes more relaxed because they are relieved to be out of that ‘spot light.’ A truthful person is likely be confused by the sudden change of topic and will want to return to the previous subject. This can be a test if you are suspicious that you are being lied to.  Don’t hold a knife to the throat until you’re completely sure whether or not you’re being deceived.

As a form of distraction, liar’s will often attempt to inject humor or sarcasm to avoid or even belittle a subject, or sometimes even the questioner …under that circumstance the liar is attempting to regain control by a form of subtle and indirect intimidation.

Don’t fall for it.  It’s nothing but a bunch of bullsh*t.  A crock.  A hoax.  A sham.  A jig.  Do you see where I’m going with this? 

Anyhoo, there it is. All spelled out in black and white. If you watch out for these simple signs, you’ll be able to spot a liar a mile away. You can avoid them like a bad pot of chitterlings. In fact, chitterlings and liars have something in common: they both stink.

Take a little time to get to know the characteristics of a liar. You can outsmart them before they outsmart you. All it takes is a little effort.  And like I always say, 90% of any effort is getting started.

I went out last night fearing the worst. I really wanted to celebrate with Chrissy that her divorce was final, but I did not want to have to deal with Jessie. It honestly takes a lot for me to loathe someone, and I loathe Jessie. So I was not really looking forward to what should be an awesome girlfest.

I was wearing my grey leopard print blouse which is see through in certain lighting, med-dark jeans, and my black dancing shoes. I normally avoid wearing this blouse because I’m not that comfortable with invisible shirts, but decided to be a bit of a slut as a celebration of being divorced and free. Plus, I was pretty certain I wouldn’t run into anyone important at the club since it was in suburbia. (By the way, the lighting in the club was not the right kind of lighting to make the shirt invisible. So I looked a little more “proper” than I intended.)

I drove out to Pflugerville to a burb-club. It was my first time there, and it wasn’t too bad. The place is like 6 bars in one, with one room of girls dancing on the bar top, a karaoke room, a country dance room, a hip-hop room, and some other room which I never did figure out the theme.

Almost everyone there was roughly my age or older. Actually there were quite a few older country/cowboy type men. Unfortunately, I don’t have those kind of daddy issues.

The group with Chrissy was pretty large (about 15 people) and diverse. A few people I’d never met before, a new male import from Chicago, and a couple from San Antonio looking to move to Austin. The wife was always out dancing or something, and the husband decided that I was a good woman to get to know. While flattering, I’m not sure I’m really that open minded.

The Chicagoan though looked a little tasty. Physically he was ok. Not really my type, but I thought I’d get to know him just in case. He was a little shy, so I drew him out by talking about Chicago.  We shared stories about the differences between here and Chicago.

Then we got to talking about fashion. The guy is not gay, but really should be. We talked about the absence of fashion sense among most of Austin.  I of course defended Austin a bit as its a different culture than Chicago and a different climate so changes in fashion need to be made. But when I first arrived in Austin, I was a lot like him and saw no reason for people to dress the way they do.

He then went on to try to explain to me as if I’m stupid about Cavalli and other fashion designers.

“You know Cavalli?”

I of course look at him like he’s a moron and to just get to his point. Mostly because I’m insulted, and secondly because I couldn’t care less about most designer names.

He looks at me like I obviously don’t know what Cavalli is.

“Yes, I know Cavalli.. whats your point?”

“This shirt is Cavalli. Its the most expensive shirt I own. Most people here wouldn’t know that.”

I look at his shirt. Its a nice button up shirt. Sure. But does it look nice? Oh hell no. Sure on someone else it might. Under a suit, it might. In a business setting it might. But the striped shirt honestly looked like some kind of retarded country wear and did absolutely nothing for his complexion.  I told him so as nicely as I could.

He attempted not to be offended, and then went on.

“You know Diana Von Furstenberg?”

It was condescending and yet not a rhetorical question. He waited for me to answer.

“Yes I know who she is.”

“You know she perfected the wrap dress. It looks good on everyone.”

I had to laugh at this. If you’ve ever seen me in a wrap dress, you’d know that they don’t look good on everyone.  Sure it might look better than some options, but it does not look good on me.

“Not everyone. THIS” I motioned to my body. “Does not look good in a wrap dress, trust me.”

He tried to argue. He lost.

I then explained to him my take on “Fashion”.  Yes keeping up with the current trends is good, but its not all about having the latest and greatest name brands. The designer label on most things means absolutely squat to me (yes I know designer names and styles).  I choose my clothes by how they fit and look on me.  Sometimes that means a $5 t-shirt over a $50 one, or sometimes a $100 blouse over a $20 one.

I often get compliments on my outfits and choice of clothing and accessories.  I even did when I lived in Chicago.

One of the biggest fashion mistakes that anyone can make is to assume that because the label is “haute couture” it will look good on them. This is the mistake that Mr Chicago was making. For him, it was less about looking good and more about status.

It was this that put him in my Douche-bag Hall of Fame.  It didn’t help that later in the evening he “judged” a woman who was just recently separated who has 3 kids and was a housewife prior to the separation.. now unemployed. He said..

“You know someone will have to pay for that divorce, and you know it won’t be her. She’s just looking for someone to pay for it. Totally not interested in her, because she’ll find a way to make me pay for it.”

And then, about 20 minutes later he left with her anyway.  Obviously the woman has bad taste in men. I feel sorry for her.

Fortunately, Jessie was pure nice the entire night. Not fake nice. Not bitchy nice. But considerate nice.  I don’t know if Chrissy wore off on her, or if she was trying to get back on my good side.  I really didn’t care. For Chrissy’s sake I was nice back.

Chrissy’s best friend, Jen came over to me and asked where’d I’d been lately. I turn down every invite from Chrissy once I know that Jessie is coming. I just can’t handle Jessie’s drama. So I told Jen that.

“You know even if I don’t like someone, I can tolerate them usually. It really takes a lot for me to hate someone like this. So I’m sorry, but if Jessie is coming I most likely won’t.”

Jen asked exactly what Jessie did. I explained to her that Jessie was usually so boy crazy that any guy I talked to she’d show up and try to dominate the conversation in any way that she could find. She even went so far as to belittle me or slip in something derogatory about me to make me look less attractive.

Jen smiled knowingly. She said that at first she thought Jessie was nice, but lately has started to see that side of Jessie.  She was getting tired of Jessie. She said that it wouldn’t be too long before Chrissy started noticing as well, and that they didn’t always do everything with Jessie. She said she’d make sure to invite me on those occasions.

I really hate being the bitch. I used to just go with everything. Let people do what they wanted, and grin and bear it.  But one thing I learned during my marriage is that I don’t have to be a doormat. I’ve actually had enough of that.  It was something I was taught as a child as a way to be attractive, but in the last few years have decided that it’s not… and it’s definitely not me.

So while I can smile and nod with the best of them.. I don’t have to and I won’t be unless its because of something I want.

The rest of the night went well. I got hit on by several more men. Each unsuitable for various reasons, but it was nice and flattering.. and fun.

And I have almost perfected my club dancing. Ask me to Salsa, Two-step, Waltz, Swing and I can put on a decent show of following if not impress you. Free style club dancing? Not so much. So I’ve decided my club dancing niche is comedic dancing, and I had Chrissy rolling. She couldn’t even do her dancing because she was laughing so hard. Yeah baby.. I’m hot like that!

Woke up Sunday morning with a massive headache, coughing, and the stench of cigarette smoke. One thing I love about Austin bars is that they’re smoke-free. Pflugerville wasn’t. Sure it was smoke-lite, and I don’t recall having trouble breathing due to smoke but I remember smelling some. (I have a heightened sensitivity to smoke.) It just reminded me of why I go downtown and another reason to dislike suburban bars in Austin.

Does this happen to everyone when they become a mom?  I saw his sweet little helpless face and decided that I suddenly needed to become perfect for him, for my husband, and…oh yea for me (yea I was an afterthought).  I am so far from what I want to be (and who I know I can be).

I want to love purposely.  I don’t want to love as a reaction to the positive things people do or say to me.  When I do this I’m bitter and withdraw love as a reaction to perceived negativity.  I want to love without expecting or needing anything in return.  This covers most of who I want to be.

On a more superficial (but still very important) level, I want to be attractive (for my husband and myself).  This means that I don’t want to let myself “go” because I’m a busy mom.  I want to be healthy and look healthy.  This makes me feel attractive.  I want to take care of my outer beauty by taking care of my body.

I want to be a great helper to my husband.  I want him to know and feel that I support him, by my actions, words and even my facial expressions (which can be the hardest for me…lol).  I want to help him follow through with the dreams and goals of our family.  I don’t want to take over our family (which I see so many women try to do).  To be more specific, I don’t want to try to do for him what he needs to do for himself and our family (that’s a thought of mine that I will have to develop more in the future for you).  I want to give him time to figure out how to do it himself.  Ultimately, I want to be his partner.

Tristen is only 4 months and I’m already using some of the information.  However, the information in the book is applicable to so much more than parenting.  I can kind-of say that it inspired me to start blogging.  Moreover, it inspired me to began to take care of myself, as a gift to all those around me.

Seriously, air brushing is the biggest lie known to man. This first came to me seeing this picture while checking out at the grocery store:

Yes, Jenna Fischer is a very attractive woman, but you can just tell this is airbrushed. Her stomach, boobs, and face just look too “creamy” and unreal. This only affects women though, in my opinion. It gives them a false sense of what to look like. Maybe this leads to anorexia? Who knows? But I’m not going to lie, this is a hot picture.

Well blonds are usually said to be more attractive.
Since ice age they have been more wanted then normal brown haired girls.
With ages to come natural blond hair and blue eyes will die away.

They will meld in with the brown haired to create a Grey mix;
The children born with this ‘no color’ unattractive hair will bleach and color their hair, trying to feel pretty.

As time goes the chemicals will kill their hairs and a new generation of hairless people will be born…

Ocean City Top Amusement Parks

One of the most famous attractions in Ocean City, Maryland is their amusement parks.  This exciting form of entertainment is fun for all ages and is reason alone to vacation in this city. Some of the most popular parks are Trampers rides on the Boardwalk Jolly Rogers on 30th street, and frontier town in west ocean city. Do you want to convey strength and health to the opposite sex?  Are you worried that you can’t do that because you aren’t a gym rat?  Well the truth is, you can appear to be much stronger than you are by the way you carry yourself.  Good posture can make people believe that you can bench press 250 lbs even if you can’t.  So how do you pull this off?  How can you perform this magic trick without loading up on steroids?  Well it doesn’t take much to have good posture.  Here at Alpha Allure we break it down into 3 steps.

1.  Shoulders back.  It is very easy to get slumped shoulders from working at a desk all day, or not working out your back regularly.  Even if you are sitting in a chair, standing or walking, remember to have your shoulders back.  Pulling your shoulders back helps to puff out your chest, and makes you appear stronger and larger even if you don’t have pectoral muscles.  Women like a man with a powerful chest.  It also makes your body appear more symmetrical and thus more attractive.

2.  Tighten Stomach.  Tightening the stomach helps to make you stand up taller, and also, over time, will help you to get a better abs.  The taller you stand the more confident you will seem.  A tighter, stronger stomach will also help prevent back problems when you’re older.

3.  Head up.  When your head is up you will look confident.  If your head is down you look scared and afraid.  Ever see a dog look down after being scolded?  This is a definite sign of weakness to other people because you aren’t willing to make eye contact (more about eye contact in a future article).  So keep the head up and let people know you aren’t scared of anything.

Exercises :

1.  Keep a tight stomach as much as you can.  Even if you aren’t doing anything physical, you will notice how it takes pressure off your back and pulls up the torso.

2.  To help align your shoulders and back, use the wall to help align your body.  Try your best to get your back and shoulders flush against the wall and you will feel how close or far off you are.  Do this in the morning as a reminder.

So my friend’s new boy toy got me thinkin…..

He’s a junior, he’s attractve, he was in the military, he’s drivin, and he SINGS!!!!!!!! HE SINGS!!! (and well!!!!)

Is it wrong that I’m attracted to him? I mean I’m only human right? It’s not like I want to be with him but is it wrong that I’m slightly jealous of the aCe just because she is available to talk to him?

Don’t get me wrong……I love my fiance with all of my being but a part of me still wonders what life would be like with someone else…….or even alone for that matter.

But then he reminds me why no one else in this world could make me smile the way that he does;

how no one in this lifetime will put me at peace the way that he does;

and how in no one else’s arms will I feel as secure and loved.

No one will ever love me the way he does

and I’m happy with that!!
