Before We Forget

They hail from Columbus, Ohio and have two releases, the most recent from September 2008. Listening to Before We Forget is like hitting random on your iTunes play list – they go from fast, heavy guitar riffs to melodic bass lines to auto-tuning  and distorting vocals like today’s hottest hip-hop artists. They don’t fit into one genre. There’s something for everyone. Before We Forget experiments with their sound, and they’re not afraid to take risks – which is what makes them so good.

The Story Changes

I’ve been a fan of this pop/punk duo [formerly trio] for a long time – I first saw them play when I was 16, five years ago. The Story Changes put a ton of energy and passion into their music. They come from the Dayton Ohio scene, but they stand among the others in their genre. Vocalist Mark McMillon has a unique voice that gives their songs an extra punch. And drummer Poppy brings intense energy to their live show, even from behind the kit. The songs are in your face, but catchy. It’s impossible not to jump around with McMillon at their live show. They’ve currently got four releases, the most recent a collaboration with Let Go, from Arizona.

Who knew that the climate change debate, the death of Michael Jackson and abuse of prescription drugs could be this entertaining with Auto-Tuning? (To understand how this technology works, check out this NPR story from last year.)

I’m not a Windows Vista fan, but even then everyone at my home uses Windows Vista.. I’ve used XP before and for some reason I always felt that Internet speeds on Vista were comparably slower than on Windows XP.

Considering it was quite slower than what I used to get on XP, I realized that Vista was doing something extra that made my internet connection slow down. After a bit of investigation and a bit of googling I found the solution.

Before I give the solution, let me explain the problem in a bit more detail… It all comes down to Vista’s “Auto Tuning” feature. Turns out that this feature isn’t compatible with many routers and networking devices(including mine). Means the feature that was supposed to be a boon turned itself into some sort of a bane.

Anyways here’s what you need to do turn off the Auto Tuning feature on Vista..

At the Start menu type command, but don’t launch the command prompt immediately. Instead, right-click it and choose Run As Administrator. Once the prompt is open enter the following commands :

netsh interface tcp show global

If the line Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level does not say “disabled,” enter this command:

netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=restricted

If this doesn’t help, substitute this command and see if it works

netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled

At this moment, you should notice considerable improvements in your browsing speeds, or rather you should be cruising now. If it works, you should notice the difference in browsing speeds immediately. If it doesn’t work for you, and you feel the need to put things back the way they were, you can type this command:

netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=normal

Note : you can explore possibilities with any of those commands can do by typing /? with leading [space] after any part of the command e.g

Quest’ anno il 2 ° Moto Music Fest – Memorial Giuseppe Rizzolo sarà ancora più ricco della precedente edizione. Tante novità, la prima fra tutte la location della manifestazione che sarà Piazza Fontana Nuova, giochi con le moto come la gara di lentezza e la “carrozzone race” sicuramente da non perdere, esposizione di auto tuning realizzate dall’officina tuning di Misilmeri e tanto altro ancora…

Come la precedente edizione ci sarà l’esposizione di moto custom, giapponesi e di alcuni esemplari artigianali fatti da costruttori siciliani, ed anche l’esposizione di silenziatori della ditta misilmerese.

Allieteranno la serata due gruppi di musica hip pop Algonkin e Ostia Lider e gli OSC Studio, gli Jummo e Viola che faranno cover musicali e tra un pezzo e l’altro qualche battuta comica. Non possono mancare gli artisti di strada molto apprezzati dai più piccoli, ma la novità assoluta del memorial sarà il toro meccanico.

Tutta la manifestazione è organizzata in memoria di un amico fraterno Giuseppe Rizzolo, morto in un incidente stradale con la propria auto, dai suoi amici di una vita: Gaspare Di Fede e Salvo Garofalo.

Quindi l’8 maggio partecipiamo numerosi a quest’appuntamento pieno di “eventi”…

Aber die begeisterten Auto-Tuning Fans und Szene sieht das natürlich anders. Vin Diesel ist noch immer auf der Flucht und dreht noch immer krumme Dinger mit Autos. Seine Freundin wird erschossen und so schleusst er sich wieder mal, in eine noch krummere Organisation ein um den Täter zu finden.

Famous BMW supported tuner ALPINA has tweaked the twin-turbo diesel powerplant from the BMW 123d classic and fixed it under the hood of the BMW ALPINA D3 Bi-Turbo Coupe.

As a result, the better hp and lighter engine means a largely energy-to-emphasis ratio of 146hp per tonne – virtually matching BMW’s own 330d Coupe. The car is skilled of 152mph and 0-62mph in 6.9 secs and yet the certified fuel consumption and emanation numbers tell a very different rumor: 52.3mpg (complete EU) and 143g/km!

The new BMW ALPINA D3 Bi-Turbo Coupe

The factor with which the new D3 Coupe is best compared to its rivals is its Power-To-Weight ratio; an equation commonly applied in motor sport. But, with heavily increased personal taxation designed to encourage energy saving and lowered emissions, the calculation is assuming wider relevance to drivers – especially those in the select niche at which this latest ALPINA is aimed.

As epitomised by the D3 Coupe, gaining extra performance simply by substituting a larger engine is alien to the ALPINA philosophy. Instead, the manufacturer, working closely with BMW, maximises the sporting potential of existing units.

ALPINA engineers have taken BMW’s state-of-the-art twin turbo diesel engine from the 123d and increased power to 214hp; producing more horsepower per litre than any other engine in a current BMW or BMW ALPINA road car.

‘Added lightness’ makes a significant further contribution to the remarkable figures achieved by the new model.

The extra power, lightness of the engine, plus additional weight saving technology means an overall power-to-weight ratio of 146hp per tonne – virtually matching BMW’s own 330d Coupe.
