¶  HYIP (High Yield Investment Program)

A HYIP is a program that promises guaranteed hourly, daily or weekly profits. There are two types of HYIP’s :
§ Short-Term HYIP : These programs offer high returns in a short period of time (e.g. 40% of your investment per day, for 3 days , resulting in a 120% investment return). Investing in these programs is VERY risky because these dont pay for very long (See below). There are always exceptions to this rule but for 9 out of 10 their lifespan is 1-2 weeks.

I ran these new calculations through a spreadsheet I put together. (The calculations are based on a math formula that Joe Hugan told me about. I can create spreadsheets, but I’m not smart enough to have figured out the initial formula.

With this new change in policy, I am now completely comfortable upgrading in Daily Profit Pond again. However, this doesn’t change the fact that growth will remain an important factor. If their growth completely falls off for some reason, we’ll have to reassess the situation again.

In my last post, I introduced the concept of autosurfing. To recap, autosurfing sites offer advertisers a method to expose their businesses to the web surfing public. In turn they agree to view a number of other advertisers’ websites. The autosurfing site pays the advertiser based on a percentage of the amount of ad packs or upgrades they have purchased. Today I will describe my experience with one autosurf site. I hope to give my readers a glimpse into the crazy world of autosurfing.

As I did last time, I need to post a strong warning sign: DO NOT TRY THIS! Because it is very possible to lose all of your money in this enterprise, I do not recommend that anyone do this. MY goal is to describe my personal experience with autosurfing. It is by no means an endorsement of any site or activity.

With that, here we go, down the rabbit hole into the exotic world of autosurfing. The first site that I signed up with is called Megalido. They started operating in August 2008. They claim to have over 20,000 members. They offer to pay 12% of your investment for a period of 12 days. You are required to surf 12 sites a day for those 12 days. I am not sure of the signficance of the number 12. However, it is apparently a popular number for many of these autosurf sites. So at the end of 12 days, you can withdraw your profit. It is a little misleading at first if you are not familiar with how autosurf sites work. You do not really earn 12% a day because the pay out includes your principal. In other words, you do not earn a total of 144%  of your investment; rather it comes out to 44%. That is actually about 3.7% a day. Regardless, that is still amazingly unbelievably outrageously high return. Too good to be true, as they say.

I signed up and listed the business I wished to advertise. In my case, I wanted surfers to view my Zenzuu site. Zenzuu is a free social network site that pays based on how many people sign up on your site. So I am trying to get as many people as possible to view the site and sign up.

You need to use a payment processor to invest in Megalido and most other autosurf programs. I already had an Alertpay account so I used that. A payment processor is a way to transfer funds between individuals. Paypal is the most popular but many autosurf sites accept Alertpay. Each upgrade costs $6.00. I decided to start with 12 upgrade units that cost a total of $72.00.

Each morning, I would log on and hit the button that says “Surf Sites.” That starts the rotating sites to start loading. Each webpage would be up for 20 seconds before the next one loaded. You do not have to do anything at this point. That is the auto in autosurfing. The sites just load themselves. There is no requirement to actually view the webpages as they scroll through. I tended to view them just to ensure that I got credit for surfing the 12 sites. After I completed surfing the 12 sites, I checked my account. It showed that I had earned $8.64 for that day (12% of $72.00).

I repeated that activity every day for the next 12 days–logging on, surfing the 12 sites and then confirming that the $8.64 had been added to the total. At the end of 12 days, I was able to withdraw my profit. It was $103.68. Subtracting my investment of $72.00, I made a profit of $31.68 basically for doing nothing much at all. I pushed down the guilty pangs resulting from earning money without actually working for it. I hit the payout button, put in the amount and waited nervously but with hope that I had not just thrown away $72.00. About four hours later, I was thrilled to see the money added to my Alertpay account. It was now mine to do what I pleased. I could stop there, or reinvest some or all of my earnings. Throwing caution to the wind and perhaps common sense as well, I put back in to the program $102 (remember it has to be multiples of $6.00.

Now the process started over again. I began earning $12.24 per day. I am now on my seventh day–only five more to go and I can cash out again. Will I get paid again? Stay tuned!

Now that we’ve been through everything you need to know, it’s time to get to work! Once your e-currency account has been funded, its time to look for programs which actually pay! So i made a small list below, which will be updated frequently.

Note : You can only cashout when your “Total comm. to cashout” is equal to or higher than 1$ (usually after 3-4 days of visiting ads) .
