Cette information que j’ai appris hier me met hors de moi. Je suis déçu. Je m’attendais à tout sauf à ça. Diam’s, musulmane, briseuse de ménage, mariée à un homme qui ne serait pas vraiment divorcé ? Mais que se passe-t-il finalement dans la tête de la rappeuse qu’ici je défendais becs et ongles, becs et hanches aussi, avec conviction après sa conversion ?

Closer nous révèle donc que le mari de Diam’s, Aziz, est déjà marié à Farah et papa d’une fillette de 4ans. Aziz serait bigame car, ses mariages avec Diam’s et Farah ne seraient que traditionnels. Quant à la fillette, elle vivrait la plupart du temps à Neuilly chez Diam’s, avec Aziz qui aurait simplement dit à la chanteuse qu’il avait une fillette…Mais, les photos de Match avaient mis la puce à l’oreille de Farah, la femme trompée. Elle venait  pourtant de fêter les 30 ans de son mari.

C’est ainsi qu’après une enquête minutieuse, aidée par des copines, elle déboula chez la rappeuse et fit un scandale retentissant. Diam’s demande alors des comptes à Aziz qui nie tout en bloc. La pauvre Farah, elle, vit en travaillant dans un centre pour ados défavorisés. Aziz, lui, serait un croqueur de diamants simplement, qui vivait au crochet de sa première femme et se délecte aujourd’hui de la fortune de sa deuxième dulcinée.

En réalité donc, Diam’s elle-même aurait été trompée par le manège du tombeur de ces dames, Aziz, et, il ne serait pas surprenant qu’un divorce arrive rapidement à moins que Diam’s ne soit raide dingue du bonhomme qui finalement ne profite que d’elle et serait prêt probablement à refaire la même chose une fois qu’il aura obtenu ce qu’il veut. C’est triste. Pourvu qu’elle se ressaisisse rapidement et vire ce garçon pas sérieux.

Mon Dieu quel échec dit. “Jeune demoiselle recherche un mec mortel”  ? Prémonitoire ? Ecoutez bien les paroles et, les deux dernières phrases. Drôle de ménage à trois.

Zamanında güzel insan Aziz Nesin; “Türk Halkının % 60′ı aptaldır” demişti… Evet % 60 mı, % 90 mı orası tartışılır. Kimileri kuru milliyetçilik yapıp Aziz Nesin’i asalım felan bile demiştir. Fakat aptal olduğumuz, hükümette duran partiden bellidir. Her neyse bende ikinci bir Aziz Nesin olmak istiyorum dermişim. Aslında öyle bir amacım yok. Fakat onun lafından çıkarak bir laf söylemek istiyorum. “Blog halkının % 60′ı aptaldır”...

Gerçekten aptaldır. Aynı şeyleri yazıp dururlar. İlginç isimler vererek, yada bir kaç cümle değiştirerek.. Ha şunlar da  var tabi. O solu savunur, diğeri sağı.. Birbirlerine postlarında ağır ithamlarda bulunurlar. Sonracığıma, biri bardağı siz attınız der, diğeri bardağı biz atmadık der. O ona suç atar, o ona.. Sanki bir yere varıyor bu tür konuşmaları… Maç 3-1 bitmiş, PFDK cezaları vermiş, bizim blog halkı hala susmuyor. O Bilica’ya haksız yere ceza verildi diyor, diğeri Arda’ya haksız yere deniliyor. O onu diyor, diğeri bunu diyor. Bünyamin Gezer evine gitmiş, yemeğini yiyor. Bizim blog halkı yemeği bırakmış, Gezer’e sallıyor. Biri maç iptal edilmeliydi diyor, biri insiyatif diyor. Biri Alex diyor, diğeri Arda.. Yahu kendinize gelin lan. Elinize geçen şey ne? Farklı olduğunuzu mu zannediyorsunuz? Hepiniz aynı boku yazıp duruyorsunuz. Aceto dışında blogların % 60′ı sıfır abi, sıfır. Biten bir olayın üzerinden bin kez konuşmak artık sıkıyor. Hangi bloga girsem bardak mevzusu… Hangi bloga girsem kardeşlik mevzusu… Yahu bu kadar mı benzerlik olur… Cidden, artık acayip şekilde sıkmaya başladı. Öğretici yazılar yazın. Tercihlerinizi, önerilerinizi yazın. Hatırlatmalar yapın. Farklı bloglar veya postlar görmeliyiz. Birbirinin tıpkısı değil.

Not: Sen kendini farklı mı sanıyon lan? diyen olabilir, farklı değilim fakat aynı şeyleri de yazmaktan kaçınıyorum.

Fenerbahçe Başkanı Aziz Yıldırım, Divan Kurulu’nda “Bu sezon 7 branşta 9 şampiyonluk yaşayacağız” dedi

Başkan Aziz Yıldırım, Fenerbahçe Burnu’ndaki Yüksek Divan Kurulu toplantısında, kendisine yönelik eleştirilere cevaplar verdi. Yıldırım, önce Efes Pilsen’i Ataşehir konusunda ortak çalışmaya davet etti. Sonra şeref tribünleriyle ilgili sıkıntılarını dile getirdi. Ligde 3 yıl üst üste şampiyon olacakları söylemi üzerine Yıldırım, “Ben korkmuyorum söylüyorum. Önce hocalarıma, futbolcularıma, arkadaşlarıma ve sizlere güveniyorum’’ dedi.

Biz buradayız beyler

Yıldırım, Divan Kurulu üyelerine, “Biz buradayız. Rahat olun yarın Fenerbahçe’den çok iyi şeyler bekleyin” dedi. Başkan sonra sözü şampiyonluklara getirdi ve salon alkıştan inledi. “Fenerbahçe bu sene futbolda şampiyon olacaktır” diyen Yıldırım, basketbolda hem erkek hem bayanlarda, voleybolda aynı şekilde, masa tenisinde, kürekte, atletizmde, boksta da şampiyon olacaklarını dile getirdi.

In less than six days it has received an absurd number of views, been posted on several blogs and in the comments section of several news articles, and has altogether served its purpose. Not to mention the (highly flattering) emails Lex has been receiving.

Now let’s make it impossible to ignore. Why? Because we can. In fact, why not forward it to your progressive student unions, to the NDP, your PIRG and your favourite campus groups, too?

And to our friends on the right, we’d love if you’d help pass it on! We know you’re not very good at this solidarity thing yet and we know it takes practice, but take the plunge. Try it out, just this once, ‘kay?

An Open Letter from the Left to the Canadian Federation of Students

James Clark recently published an article in the Ryerson Free Press entitled “Manufacturing Crisis:” a clumsy attempt to refute the existence of an organized, national push to defederate from the Canadian Federation of Students.

He opens the article with a quote from Mark Twain: “a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.” We suppose the implication is that Erin Hale’s article in the McGill Daily last month (along with articles written by dozens of student journalists since she broke the story) is somehow completely unfounded. In fact, Clark goes on to assert that this highly-publicized “rumour” is part of a wild conspiratorial plot by the far-right.

Twain said something equally poignant that Mr. Clark might want to take note of: “get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.” We’ll overlook the blatant ad hominem attacks (towards Brandon Wallingford, Dean Tester, Erin Hale…) and move on to the point:

James Clark is simply wrong.

We’re sorry to break it to you, but a national movement against the CFS is alive and well. Four petitions (Trent, Guelph, Carleton and Western) have already been delivered to CFS-Ontario by bailiff. We’re quite sure more are on the way.

Furthermore, we take offense to the allegation that the petition drive (the one that supposedly doesn’t exist) is “the activity of a small number of conservative dissidents.” As activists from across the left spectrum (from anarchists to social democrats), many of us collecting signatures of our own, we feel it’s about time we came out against the CFS too.

We don’t agree with the right on much, but scandal is scandal, corruption is corruption, and bullshit is bullshit, no matter where you stand politically. The CFS has alienated real activists by highjacking our campaigns, stamping glossy brands on our hard work, and attracting bad press across the country. So here’s the truth. The real student movement can’t be put on a pin or a sticker, can’t be sold to us in a bus ad, and can’t hide behind superficial and obsolete rhetoric. The CFS has been a driving force behind the active and ongoing co-optation of legitimate social justice organizing for too long. We’re fed up.

While masquerading as activists, they close journalists out of meetings, litigate ruthlessly against their critics, attempt to quash a democratic referendum process (anti-petition petitions? seriously?) and sell shamelessly corporate CFS-Services contracts to our unions behind closed doors. Don’t blame journalists–the CFS “manufactured a crisis” for themselves. While quick to pay lip service to marginalized and disenfranchised communities, evidence of actual progress is hardly forthcoming. It’s clear to us that the CFS is more interested in profit and self-preservation than any of the progressive, democratic values they espouse. The irony, of course, is that for all this talk of a united “Student Movement™” arguably the most open-source, multi-partisan and member-driven one we’ve seen has been against the Canadian Federation of Students.

Moreover, we consider the adoption of progressive campaigns by the CFS deeply problematic regardless of whether or not we agree with their stance. The reason is simple: the CFS has a clear mandate to provide a voice for all students–on student issues–at the federal level, and no matter what we think about Palestine, copyright, gender, Cuba, abortion, or land claims it is unrepresentative to speak for all students on such divisive issues. Some of us have dedicated our lives to these causes, but it’s inappropriate for a federal lobby organization to adopt these campaigns while matters of urgent importance to all students (rising tuition, accessibility, corporate control of university bodies, declining subsidies) go completely untouched.

This isn’t a question of right versus left; we’re happy to work together if we share common goals, and initiating a democratic referendum process is one of them. There are some things we can all agree on regardless of ideological differences: freedom of speech, freedom to dissent, and freedom to vote on where our money is going.

And to our sisters, brothers and lovers on the left who are not yet convinced, we implore you to do some serious research and introspection. To quote Margaret Mead, “what people say, what people do, and what they say they do are entirely different things.” Wake up: we’ve been sold a lie.

Relevo e Geógrafos

Foram formuladas três classificações das unidades do relevo brasileiro, em diferentes períodos, e cada uma delas levou em consideração determinados critérios. Destacando-se as dos professores Aroldo de Azevedo( década de 1940), Aziz Nacib Ab’Saber( década de 1960) e a mais recente do professor Jurandyr Ross (1995).

Aroldo de Azevedo
A classificação de Aroldo de Azevedo é a mais tradicional. Leva em conta, principalmente, o nível altimétrico como fator de determinação do que seja um planalto ou uma planície.

Aziz Nacib Ab’Saber
O professor Ab’Saber despreza o nível altimétrico e dá ênfase aos processos geomorfológicos, isto é, aos processos de erosão e sedimentação. Assim, para ele, planalto é uma superfície na qual predomina o processo de desgaste, e planície é uma área de sedimentação.

Jurandyr Ross – Classificação recente

Jurandyr Ross, a exemplo de Ab’Saber, também utiliza os processos geomorfológicos, porém apoiado em levantamentos técnicos do Projeto Radambrasil para elaborar uma classificação mais detalhada do relevo brasileiro. Essa classificação associa informações altimétricas, com os processos de erosão e sedimentação e gênese, integrandos-os às estruturas geológicas nas quais ocorrem.

Principais Formas de Relevo

Destaca três formas principais de relevo: planaltos, planícies e depressões.

Define planalto como sendo uma superfície irregular, com altitude acima de 300 metros e produto de erosão.

Planície, como uma área plana, formada pelo acúmulo recente de sedimentos.

Depressão, como superfície entre 100 e 500 metros de altitude, com inclinação suave, mais plana que o planalto e formada por processo de erosão.

DON’T turn your back while your ice cream is being made. You’ll miss seeing your ingredients combined on a frozen granite stone (and your creation might get hijacked).

Cocuklarimiz, o atlari kucucuk boylariyla citin ustunden uzanarak,
Bahceden kopardiklari tutam tutam cimlerle beslerlerdi. Minicik ellerle
Atlarin koca koca dislerini yanyana gormenin keyfine doyum olmazdi …

Tiyatro salonumuz taninmaz halde. Su anda icine bile girilemiyor.

Mutfagimiz kullanilmaz durumda, icine zor giriliyor.

Camasir makinalari, bulasik makinalari, kurutma makinasi, buzdolaplari,
Firinlar, sogutma depolari, kalorifer kazani… Medeniyet namina ne
Varsa yok oldu.

Aziz nesin’in yillarca biriktirdigi gazete koleksiyonunun buyuk bir
Kismini ciltletmistik. Buyuk olcude parasizliktan ama bir miktar da
İhmalkarliktan ciltletemedigimiz binlerce gazete hamur oldu. 1976′nin
Politika gazetelerini gordum. İcim acidi.

Mezunlar dahil butun buyuk cocuklarimiz vakf’a geldiler. El birligiyle
Vakf’i temizlemeye calisiyorlar.

Felaketin boyutunu anlamak icin gormek, yasamak lazim.

2) Aziz Nesin’in butun arsivi kurtarildi. Cocuklarimizin ilk aklina bu
Notlar gelmis. 3000 dolayinda dosya… İnanilmaz bir surat ve

Kutuphaneden ikinci kata cikarmislar. Sabahin korunde uykularindan
Firlayip… Cocuklarimizin kimisi haylaz kimisi yaramaz kimisi soz
Dinlemez olabilir, ama hic gormedikleri Aziz Dede’lerinin notlarinin ilk
Kurtarilacak esya oldugunu biliyorlar… Egitim iste boyle bir sey olmali.

Her seye karsin iyimserligimizi elden birakmayacagiz ama. Surekli
İleriye bakmaya and ictik. Mucadeleye devam!

In carcere si muore. Queste persone guardate a vista, controllate in continuazione, muoiono con molta facilità, riescono persino ad impiccarsi senza che nessuno possa o voglia fermare il loro tremendo gesto. La morte, per alcuni di loro, è l’unica libertà. Queste parole, dure e amare, sono state scritte da Carmelo Musumeci e Ivano Rapisarda alla notizia che un loro compagno, detenuto nel carcere di Spoleto, si era tolto la vita….. Aziz, finalmente ora sorridi di nuovo..

 ADDIO AZIZ
Non sappiamo nulla di te!
Sappiamo solo il tuo nome, che eri allocato al quarto piano nella sezione di media sicurezza, che sei extracomunitario, che sei giovanissimo e che sabato tre gennaio 2009 nel carcere di Spoleto ti sei tolto la vita impiccandoti.
Un’altra vittima della violenza della giustizia!
Il carcere è vigliacco, forte con i deboli e debole con i forti e tu eri solo un extracomunitario, la vittima ideale.
Una nuova vittima del terrorismo istituzionale e mediatico sul tema della sicurezza della nuova classe dirigente politica.
E d’altronde non c’è più nessuna sinistra garantista che visiti i carceri e che si interessi di chi vive in carcere.
Non c’è più nessuno che s’interessi di noi!
Da poco tempo abbiamo messo in atto uno spettacolo teatrale e un detenuto e una psicologa hanno recitato queste due battute premonitrici:
- Cosa pensi di quei detenuti che invece si tolgono la vita?
- Ammiro il coraggio che io non ho… l’uomo ha così paura di morire che si è inventato l’idea di Dio per sfuggire al destino della morte; me se fossi disperato vorrei avere quel coraggio.

Tu eri proprio disperato ma nessuno si è accorto di nulla.
E la colpa è anche nostra, dei tuoi compagni che non hanno capito, che non ti sono stati vicini abbastanza… perdonaci!
Ma il carcere, qualsiasi carcere anche quello modello di Spoleto, rimane pur sempre una mostruosa creatura di cemento armato.
Una creatura che assassina e che mangia la vita di chi c’è dentro.
Una creatura che odia la felicità, la speranza e la vita.
Tutti noi siamo appesi ad un filo.
Un filo chiamato speranza.
Di sicuro per te la speranza, se ma l’hai avuta, è finita ieri, per noi è ancora viva ma chissà per quanto.
Probabilmente, domani nessuno si ricorderà di te, forse, se sei fortunato almeno da morto, qualche giornale locale scriverà poche righe sulla tua morte.
Per questo gli ergastolani in lotta per la vita, i detenuti dell’alta sicurezza e i detenuti dell’elevato indice di vigilanza ti augurano buon viaggio nell’aldilà con la speranza che Dio, qualsiasi Dio, ti dia quella giustizia sociale che non ti hanno dato su questa terra.
Condoglianze alla tua famiglia.

While the rest of the internet (read: Pitchfork) be hating, Aziz and I think this is some straight fire. Perhaps it’s just the fact that Weezy and Em finally hopped on a track together or that Drake knows how to spin a hook, who the hell knows. I will conceded that it may be trying a little too hard to be this years Swagger Like Us but damn if I can’t stop bumping it. Stadium status.

Mahreen Khan interviews Shaukat Aziz in London on the accusations made against him by both opposing and PML-Q politicians and the media.

As a non-politician (and as with Musharraf i.e. not being seen as a threat by media), he is criticized even more by the media (the so called “ghattia pana” of the media mentioned earlier).

The following controversies are mentioned:

- Pakistan Steel Case and action against the Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry’s behaviour (this was not discussed in detail however)

- whether removal of CJ was instigated by Musharraf (as opposed to the “official” story that Shaukat Aziz sent a directive to the President, which the Presidential bureaucrasy processed as usual). This issue is not discussed either. The presumed reason for this would be that Musharraf may have seen that the CJ was “no good” and would create problems for the smooth transfer of power to the next government, with Musharraf staying on for stability. A lot of people may have seen Musharraf as a usurper (as opposed to the perfectly acceptable Zardari, Benazir, or Sharif brothers !), however as sensed by thinking people his departure would lead to problems as well – some of which we are seeing in the “headless-chicken” behaviour of the PPP/PML-N joint government. Much of what people feared has come true in that regard. One positive has been the emboldening of the judiciary – but this happened during Musharraf’s tenure, and that emboldening was sufficient. Subsequent to that, we have seen the overshoot behaviour – with judges sitting in judgement on cases that involve themselves, with lawyers beating up police, judges and now “journalists”. The PPP-jiyala dominated media which praised the beating of Sher Afghan Niazi or Ahmed Raza Qasuri (blackening of face on court premises) now sees ITSELF as the victim, and they are not liking it one bit.

- Wheat crisis (where Shaukat Aziz is accused of caving in to the agriculturist lobby to allow export of wheat). Musharraf gives a far better explanation where he says the calculation to export early may have been correct, but the shortfall may have been from a failure to anticipate smuggling of (probably cheaper-than-world-market) wheat to Afghanistan and India. This fact itself suggests that Pakistan WAS enjoying cheaper-than-world-prices wheat at that time as well. Humayun Akhtar in a recent interview with Naim Bokhari suggested that that “wheat crisis” had only taken prices to the Rs. 200 versus the Rs. 700+ it was to reach under the current PPP and PML-N joint regime.

- Stock market “scandal” (where some favourite players were supposedly allowed to reap profits off the stock market’s fall). It remains to be seen how much of this is actually a crime and how much is “business as usual” in the stock market – where a lot of non-transparent, insider trading stuff goes on (combined with a small market, with very few big companies trading on the market).

- Electricity power crisis (here the “blame” lies with the government of the time, although the media presumes Musharraf was all powerful, and then they demand why HE didn’t do anything). There maybe legitimacy to such accusations, but a parallel question emerges – why didn’t the titans of industry lobby for greater power generation 4 years in advance ? Why didn’t the ultra-smart “media” raise THAT issue instead of the incessant obsession with “removal of uniform”. What happened to the media’s sense of balance – where bigger issues are given importance, and all the issues given their due balance. While one can agree with the accusations against Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz, it IS a planning omission. However where was the media when Musharraf was pushing construction of Kalabagh Dam. The media presumes that Musharraf is all powerful – a “Muhajir” stationed in Potohari Rawalpindi – a fallacy in itself and they proceed to cut him down, instead of working to strengthen his hand, if they see his efforts as useful for Pakistan. In a similar way, the media FAILED to raise the electricity power issue and bring it to the forefront of political discussion in the country. Musharraf was just one person – who can have his failings – and who WAS pitted against the ANP’s traditional opposition to Kalabagh Dam (because it infringes on their ancestral land) and the Sindhi parties (who say interruption in river flow to fill a dam will create greater encroachment by the sea and reduced water as it will inevitably be used to irrigate lands in the North as parasitic “canals” siphon off precious water at the source). What happened to the scores of “journalists” and media owners and THEIR duty to the country ?
