Printr-o fanta din dreapta ei, tanti de la ghiseul 12 ii impinge factura mea. O ia, ii pune o stampila si mi-o da.

Asta este, doamnelor si domnilor, diviziunea muncii. Doamna de la ghiseul 12 stie sa scrie, iar doamna de la ghiseul 13 stie sa numere. Sau poate ca doamna de la ghiseul 12 nu stie sa numere, iar doamna de la ghiseul 13 nu stie sa scrie. Eu altfel nu imi explic de ce hranesc, din banii mei, DOUA femei care fac o treaba ce ar putea fi rezolvata cu cel mult un angajat. Probabil ca trebuie sa justificam cumva existenta angajatilor din sistemul de stat. Probabil ca in alte parti au impartit si alfabetul. Ghiseul 1 scrie numai literele de la A la H, ghiseul 2 scrie de la I la R si tot asa. Orice, numai sa plimbi cat mai multe hartii in cat mai multe parti. Sa nu mentionez ca restul angajatilor de la Trezorerie chiar nu aveau absolut nimic de facut.

Nu pot, de asemenea, sa nu ma intreb cu ce ocazie fiecare institutie de stat are cate un set de formulare pe care trebuie sa le completezi, dar pe care nu le gasesti decat la xeroxul din colt sau de vis-a-vis. Hai sa imi incerc norocul. Este sau este xeroxul de la colt in proprietatea vreunui sefulet mic-smenar din administratia publica?

They’re in the way I wake up every morning with a stomachache, with pain, bruised and sore, with the room feeling like it’s spinning on an axis and I am there, helpless to my own body, and still I find myself telling me to go on. But it’s not the end of the world, is it? I guess that is what you wanted me to learn when you left, so of course I understand.

They’re in the way I say things are going to work out, that they’re going to be allright, even though I know that is the last thing likely to happen. I give it my all, you know I always do. But sometimes things just don’t work out no matter how hard I try. Just like when I tried to save you. You remember when I was trying to get those stuff off you, right? That was so mean of me I’m really sorry. I just didn’t want to lose you. But then I did, and now I feel the same way all over again, Babe. And sometimes I find it really hard to say that it’s not the end of the world, even though I know it’s true. Because it really seems like it, and I don’t know, I don’t know what to do to make things allright this time.

It’s getting hard, you know. It’s getting harder for me to wake up and swim through the obscurity, to go to sleep telling myself tomorrow will be better, to stay strong, to smile.
