Traian Băsescu şi Crin Antonescu vor participa astăzi, la o dezbatere publică, la Cluj. Jurnalistul Florin Danciu a fost propus ca moderator al întâlnirii, conform lui Crin Antonescu. La dezbatere şi-a anunţat prezenţa şi Remus Cernea, candidatul Partidului Verde.

Crin Antonescu a confirmat pentru REALITATEA.NET că va participa astăzi la o dezbatere publică la Cluj, alături de Traian Băsescu. Întâlnirea va avea loc la Universitatea Babeş- Bolyai.

“L-am contactat pe Sever Voinescu şi l-am întrebat ora, locul şi armele. Am stabilit ora 15.00. Şi ei (PD-L – n. red.) erau aşa oarecum nesiguri pentru că nu organizaseră ceva. Era organizat de domnul Geoană. A rămas să vedem locul, dar am stabilit ora 15.00. Dânşii l-au propus pe Robert Turcescu moderator, iar eu am acceptat. E păcat dacă domnul Băsescu e la Cluj şi are disponibilitatea de confruntări, ar trebui să fim trei (…)”, a declarat preşedintele PNL, Crin Antonescu, pentru REALITATEA.NET.

Candidatul Partidului Verde, Remus Cernea, a declarat pentru REALITATEA.NET, că va participa la întâlnirea de la Cluj-Napoca. Cernea a mai spus că a discutat cu şeful de campanie al lui Traian Băsescu, Sever Voinescu, şi a primit confirmarea întâlnirii de astăzi, la ora 15.00.

Sitting without Internet connection sucks. I did it in the past 2 days, but wasn’t that bad as back at home without it. Made some notes while been sitting doing nothing so going to make a normal entry out of all of them about my first 3 days spent here.

My first impression about the place was that it was dirty. Ok got over it after a shopping in Carrefour (and yap you’ve guessed I couldn’t miss buying a Fazer Vodka Filled one either ) and now it looks pretty and I must say quite cozy. Have my pictures with TR and the TR calendar on the wall so it’s almost like at home. I have a sight on a park (which doesn’t really look like a park more like a field that have not been visited in the past 3 years) and I hear each and every train leaving from the train-station (grrr); aaaa and the airplanes that come to the airport and leave as well… well depends on the direction they leave to . My university is about 10-15 minutes distance by walk so not much thing I guess.

One would feel scared about being alone without to know anyone in such a big city as Cluj is, but I must say I don’t. Not that I want to seem cool or something but the flat is at a nice and silent place with almost everything around (there is also a market place in a distance of 5 minutes by walk).

Besides the fact of getting up at 4:20AM on Saturday there was nothing really that bad (well if we don’t opt for the countless times that we got lost in the town ). All in all a 4.8/5 for the day .

What about Sunday? Huh, wrote my notes about the day not much after 11PM. Why? Because that was the time when I’ve been out in the new town and arrived home about 30 minutes before, time which was enough to take a refreshing shower after such a long and full day and make a sandwich for myself as the only thing I ate the whole day was a Saorma. It was a long day and I don’t even know where to start. Probably the best thing would be to start with my first night spent here…

Well the first night was fine. Watched a part of Winnie the Pooh and some extras from The Dudesons movie and then went to bed. Can’t complain, having a nice one and fell asleep pretty soon. I must confess that people around here are strange, because who would wash clothes at 00:30AM and who would start moving in at 4:08AM. But thanks to them I realized the batteries of my phone went empty so I put it to charge. Woke up a few minutes before 9AM still a bit tired but 10 hours of sleep are enough at one time. Being lazy a bit more in the bed listening to some local radio stations, then dressing up and morning coffee. Got a phone call and at 12:30PM meeting. Yap! On the way to the place of the meeting been talking on the phone with my homies and some other relatives. So then after the meeting with the guy that I’ve been chatting with for almost a year on messenger (and unbelievable but met on HI5) we started the sightseeing: Botanical garden, a “fortress” and at the end of the day cinema- as everything was planned.

The Botanical Garden is simply and unbelievably beautiful. With rare flowers and plants…just a must see for everyone who is around Cluj, and nope the entrance is not expensive (as far as I have seen it’s around 1 Euro ). I guess the most beautiful part was the Chinese garden; there is also a tower from which you can see half of the town. An utterly amazing sight but also scary for some reason. There is also a Roman Garden arranged, which at the moment did not have so much of flowers but it’s a nice place . Palms and such huge plants and flowers from all over the world, banana… Just must see, it can’t be described as easily.

The next station was an Internet Coffee to reserve the places for the cinema, and then heading to the fortress. Well me thought it’s going to be a real one, but it turned out to be a nice park (as far as I have seen it but I might be wrong). There were a lot of stairs to climb but it was worth as you can see from there the other part of the town that you’ve seen from the Botanical Garden and it’s really a relaxing place (even if it’s not such silence but still just looking at the river Somes flowing there calms you down).

Felt quite not ok because of my usual Calcium thing so had to buy some water to be back a bit ok and then come home to take some of them.

Then Iulius Mall (yap the place that gave me a teaser of the big city life) where we bought the tickets for Funny People (with Adam Sandler). Bought something to drink and some sweets and heading back to wait until we can enter the room to watch the movie. It’s an amazing place and the cinema is looking fantastic, like a real cinema and not the ones that I have seen so far .

After almost 2 hours of the movie, hoping for the last bus to come…went to the bus station. Back to the center (only me), taken a taxi and home…shower (mhmhm it’s been a while since I had such a nice shower) and having my sandwich and sitting thinking about a very eventful day.

All in all I had a day that not much have been before…true that I walked a lot and I’m sure sleeping will be on its way in a few minutes and won’t wake up until morning, but it was worth for every second and every minute.

Today was the first day of the university. And again I can tell that “it’s hard to believe that it came to this” but yes it was the first day of the university with the festivity of the opening the university. Well would have been the festivity but me didn’t participate on that. Met some friends that are already on the second year so they guided me and said it’s not really worth to spend the time there. I got my schedule and I must say that I quite like it. It’s not that bad. The best thing should me Monday, Finnish the whole day OH YEAH! That means 6 hours. I guess that if ‘til now I had the opinion that Monday is the worst day of the week, now I will change my mind definitely. So here’s my timetable:

10-12 – Finnish Language every second week

12-14 – Finnish Language every week

14-16 – Finnish Language every week

Some of them are courses and some seminars but I have no clue right now because I haven’t noted them.

Tuesday:

08-10 – Lexicology (seminar)

10-12 – British Culture and Civilization one week and the other week Lexicology (seminar)

12-14 – Phonetics

Would have Psychology from 18-20 if I would take up pedagogy, but I don’t think I will.

Wednesday:

10-12 – Will have to choose between text interpretation and writing essays, but I think I will opt for writing essays because I like it more than interpreting a text

12-14 – Old Literature and Renaissance

Thursday:
10-12 – General Linguistics (seminar) every second week

12-14 – General Linguistics (course)

Friday:14-16 – Finnish Culture and Civilization

I don’t really have clue of Phonetics and I never like it when in school the teacher was talking about it so I guess I won’t like it now either. Don’t know what Lexicology will be about but we’ll see tomorrow in the morning. British culture and civilization is something that I wrote about a few months ago but it’s not one of my favorite things to be on about. Another thing that I wouldn’t like could be the English literature, and more because it’s the old one and the Renaissance, never liked something like that. Miss the fact that we don’t have any lessons about Finnish literature.

Finally a timetable that doesn’t have tons of subjects that I detest and see no point in learning it. Ok, no one can make a timetable I like (unless they put Finnish for everyday) but it’s far better than the ones I had in the previous years.

Concerning the fun in here, I don’t think I will have to ever make complain about being bored. Been out in the town in the morning (that means the time around 9:30AM) and everything was full, people running, saw 5 ambulances in only 20 minutes…everything seems so lively and must say that me likes it. Just 2 and half days since been here but feeling like at home. Haven’t thought about something like this when moving but it’s always nice to have surprises.

Just keep wondering why today everyone have been so frustrated about things? One was shouting because didn’t liked something, the other one was shouting because wanted you to do something, the third one for another stupid reason. And when you have been walking on the road all you heard was people shouting at each other. What a nice society

Whatever… today I’ve been to apply for the university…well at least wanted so because i was a bit late and have to go back tomorrow, but honestly i’m not pretty confident about the local thing of the university i want to go to. It’s been pretty unsure when i was asking how much i will have to pay for the application fee Ok people, that’s something they must know when someone is asking for it, or else why they are there? To sit and have their daily coffee or what? Now waiting to see what will my dad say… Me still suggests to go to Cluj for the application, where i will also attend the university, that’s something i would take for granted if i do it there. But we’ll see.

And only 10 more days left until The Rasmus’ gig. Wow, time have been passing by so fast that i barely have noticed. Still trying to make Oana’s parents let her come because Girls just wanna have fun just for one day outside the borderlines of this country. Well hopefully tomorrow will have some more luck when talking with her and finally we can be sure of the “line-up” of who we are going to go.

Nu-l voiam blog de consemnare a evenimentelor care se întâmplă şi care nu se întâmplă în viaţa-mi pommiciană, dar mai bine să fie blog de ceva decât să fie blog de nimic.

Mai sunt 3 săptămâni până la vară, nu? Soarele ăsta nu şi-a sincronizat bine apariţia. Noi încă mai avem câteva zile de tocit coatele pe bănci şi de salivat după vacanţă. Dar le facem pe toate lejer. Şi lucrarea la economie tot lejer, şi nota de la franceză de săptămâna viitoare tot lejer.

Am fost săptămâna trecuta la ceva şcoli generale de prin Vale cu monsieur Gil să prezentăm liceul (adică să-i păcălim că la noi e raiul terestru şi ăi mai luminaţi să vină la noi). După ce le-am zis navetiştilor că două luni ne-au decontat biletele şi celor cu intenţii spre profilul uman că la noi nu se mai face matematică din clasa a XI-a, am aşteptat vreo întrebare. Niciunde nimic- şi nici o supărare în asta. Azi însă a fost un fel de zi a porţilor deschise. Adică alergări pe scări, cu boxe şi videoproiectoare, cu CD-uri cu spectacole de acum 2-3-4 ani şi de anul ăsta, şi de anul trecut ( Fabuloaso, te-am văzut într-o rochiţă albă! ) ca să le arătam ăstora mai mici ce avem noi aici. Scoseseră şi boxele în curte oamenii responsabili cu muzica din pauze, dom’ director îi plimba pe cei din generală ca pe căţeluşi , lumea se scălda în soare în curte închegând imaginea idilică a zidurilor ce ne îngrădesc din toate părţile, iar eu şi încă un chinuit îi aşteptam în laboratorul de informatică să vină să le arătăm pozele şi filmările pe care le găsiserăm. Directorul le zice despre multele participări la olimpiade, de rezultatele bune, de voluntariatul în Italia, de atestate şi cum te ajută ele iar eu despre festivalurile din Decembrie şi Ianuarie şi Mai şi tot ce mai e. După ce i-am aburit de tot, li se pune eterna întrebare retorică “Aveţi voi întrebări?” Stupoare! O mână plăpândă se ridică în aer. Monologurile noastre au un ecou! Vor să ştieeee! “-Da, spune.” “-Dom’ director, da’ muzică în pauze puneţi în fiecare zi?”. Ei, fir-ar a naibii de treabă. Tocmai în responsabilitatea cea mai leneşă au lovit. “Păi cam tot timpul… când vor ei.” Mărturisire: nu, copii, dacă ăsta-i motivul pentru care v-aruncaţi între-ale noastre ziduri vechi, o să ascultaţi muzică doar dacă o să aveţi voi poftă să căraţi blocurile alea de boxe de la etaj la parter (şi-o să vă piară cheful, l-au pierdut şi alţii). Dar încă mai avem rezultatele şcolare… festivalurile… mersul în Italia… bine? Aşa că veniţi, fir-ar mama voastră de melomani!

Cu steluţă: când a venit Vasile Muscă la liceul nostru (deci la liceul nostru vine şi Vasile Muscă, aşa că veniţi la liceul nostru) şi a vorbit despre ultima lui carte *Spusul şi de nespusul* a zis că el apreciază femeile şi să nu-l credem misogin. Şi după ce-a zis asta, ne-a citit un lucruşor din cartea lui: “Femeile inteligente sunt desigur mai preţioase decât bărbaţii inteligenţi. Pentru că sunt mai rare.” Ce preţioase mi-au devenit mie postările dacă ne luăm după criteriul domnului Muscă, nu? (şi ce priviri încruntate şi-a luat el de la jumătatea feminină a sălii)

The first edition of the Interdisciplinary New Media Conference has been a great opportunity for national and international academics from fields such as journalism, media, communication, philosophy, sociology, psychology, economics and computer science and professionals from the audio-visual new media to get together and exchange ideas on the research and development of this emerging field. We would like to take this project further and in the future consider creating a group for new media research and education.

The participants found the presentations interesting and the debates stimulating.

The conference opened on May 21^st with the Official Welcome Address delivered by Senior Lecturer Ph.D. Elena Abrudan, Head of the Journalism Department (Babes-Bolyai University) and General Conference Chair, followed by the the Rector’s Address delivered by Professor Ph.D. Andrei Marga.

Four other keynote speeches followed: Web 2.0, Social Networks, and Media Students – Professor Ph.D. Melissa Lee Price (Staffordshire University), Researching the Blogosphere – Senior Lecturer Ph.D. Georgeta Drulă (Bucureşti University), Bare and Share – Culture of File Sharing in Romania - Szakáts István (Altart Foundation), Academic Websites and Web Rankings – Senior Lecturer Ph.D. Alina Andreica (Babes-Bolyai University).

The afternoon session of the conference started with a digital art exhibition featuring digital artworks provided by the Altart Foundation and several Journalism students. The participants were especially captivated by the works of first-year Journalism student Ovidiu Duţă.

Each of the two following panel sessions – Researching New Media Systems and E-business Management – was opened by two extremely interesting keynote presentations, one on Data Mining and Knowledge Representation by Lecturer Ph.D. Cristian Săcărea from Babeş-Bolyai University’s Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and one on E-business Management delivered by Lecturer Ph.D. Robert Buchmann from Babeş-Bolyai University’s Faculty of Economical Studies and Business Management. Presentations in both panels started up debates on the role of e-marketing, studying virtual communities and their impact on consumer culture. Both panels also featured presentations from business professionals – Paul Lupoian and Cristian Popa from Alphasoft presented methods of digitizing print and using it for research and Sergiu Biriş, the General Director of Romania’s top website the Trilulilu video-sharing portal who presented ways and means of managing a business based on user generated content.

The first day of the Conference ended with a dinner at Piramida Restaurant where the participants had the opportunity to get to know each other better and discuss future projects.

The second day of the conference had a more heterogeneous approach to new media within the Digital Media and E-publishing, Online Society Dynamics panel. The participants proved interested both in presentations covering niche topics such as Studying Sexuality through the Internet (Sebastian Bartoş, M.A. student in Clinical Psychology) or In-Game Advertising (George Prundaru, M.A. student in Interactive Media) and the broad topic of blogs and the way they have shifted traditional socio-cultural paradigms. Assistant Horea Badau held an inciting presentation entitled Bloggers -  A New Community of Leaders. Also, presentations like the one by Lecturer Ph.D Radu Bîlbîie (“Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu) on a Narrowcasting System for Public Institution lead the way towards the final event of the conference, the Interactive Multimedia Student Presentations.

Two teams of Journalism students presented their projects. A team of first-year students (Andrei şi Cezar Candrea, Irina Breniuc şi Iulia Becheş) presented an online portal designed as a meeting place for student passionate about photography, a portal that will soon host photo galleries of Journalism students. The other team comprised of second-year Journalism students (Radu Morea, Andrei Leczfalvi, Claudiu Dănilă) presented a remarkable interactive visual guide of the Journalism Department, allowing navigation through different rooms, browsing equipment and interacting with professors.

This first edition of the conference was all in all a great opportunity for establishing common grounds between specialists from different fields, thus opening the way to a truly interdisciplinary approach to new media in Romanian scientific research with considerable market applications.

Henry F. Schaefer III:

Henry F. Schaefer III, Profesor de chimie computaţională la Universitatea Georgia, din Athens, Georgia, SUA a fost onorat de Universitatea Babeş-Bolyai cu titlul de DOCTOR HONORIS CAUSA. El a susţinut în data de 13 mai 2009 prelegerea intitulată “The Big Bang, Stephen Hawking and God” în faţa unei săli arhipline.

Au fost prezente persoane care au distribuit un “manifest” chiar înainte de startul prelegerii (cu sau fără ştirea organizatorilor) prin care atenţionau publicul că Schaefer “promovează idei religioase pretinzând că sunt ştiinţifice”. Dacă înlănţuirea dinainte gândită a unora din public  la întrebările de la final nu ar fi fost evidentă, aş fi putut spune că avertismentul a fost o întâmplare. Dar aşa nu rămâne nimic de spus decât că a fost o exagerare menită să discrediteze vorbitorul, întrucât Henry Schaefer a avertizat atât la începutul cât şi pe parcursul prelegerii că expunerea domniei sale este o îmbinare între idei ştiinţifice şi religioase, punctând distincţia dintre ele.

La sfârşitul prelegerii a fost oferit volumul Science and Christianity: Conflict and Coherence, scris de Schaefer, împărţit de un domn de la UBB, în mod mizerabil-românesc doar profesorilor (ăia universitari cu salarii mari) ce s-au înghesuit în faţă, chiar dacă înaintea domiilor lor au fost studenţi care au solicitat volumul. Sper totuşi ca fiecare volum distribuit să atingă raţiunea a cel puţin unei persoane în mâna căreia va ajunge.

Schaefer a spus că dovezile din cosmologia actuală suţin o cosmogonie teistă (bazându-se şi pe argumentul cosmologic). El a citat numeroşi oameni de ştiinţă, distinşi cu Premiul Nobel, care cred în existenţa lui Dumnezeu (sau a unui dumnezeu). A mai spus că incidenţa credinţei în Dumnezeu, în rândul oamenilor de ştiinţă, este aproximativ aceeaşi cu cea “din rândul camionagiilor” (oamenilor de rând). O observaţie  din public a spus că o statistică publicată de Nature referitoare la componenţa NAS (National Academy of Sciences) susţinea că doar 7% dintre oamenii de ştiinţă sunt creştini, Dr. Schaefer replicând că acei oameni au o sistuaţie materială foarte bună ceea ce le-ar fi determinat poziţia filosofică. X: Da, da, relațiile cu publicul. Știu, știu, am mai auzit.

Y: E tocmai altă poveste. Eu fac la facultate chestii legate de public relations și publicitate.

X: Da,da, ce faină e publicitatea și reclamele alea. Am crezut că stai la ghișeu. Chiar aseară am văzut aia faină la vodafone cu flotările ).

De câte ori ați avut parte de o discuție de genul astă? (mă refer la colegii de breaslă) Eu m-am săturat de ea. Și ce e culmea, este faptul că după ce află că „se face publicitate” la CRP, se urmează instinctul de turmă.

Ce vreau să subliniez este că, având în vedere că „este la modă publicitatea”, se va face și la Babeș-Bolyai, la FSPAC, o secție de publicitate.  Secția va fi lansată anul viitor, în același timp cu cea de la SNSPA. Prin urmare, vor fi în număr mai mare atât colegi, cât și competitori.

Să sperăm că nu vor fi asemenea ciupercilor după ploaie!

FSPAC si-a reinoit logo-ul!

Noul logo al Facultăţii de Ştiinte Politice, Administrative şi ale Comunicării vine ca exponentul unei noi imagini ale unităţii de invăţământ superior din Cluj – Napoca. Redesingnul a durat mai mult decât îşi propusese board-ul, a costat de asemenea mai mult dar valoarea i-a crescut simţitor, lucru observat din aprecierile studenţilor.

O schimbare de logo pe timp de criză poate fi fatală dacă nu ar fi fost executată de către profesionişti, dar din fericire, nu e cazul FSPAC. Ideea creativă şi planningul au fost executate în laboratoarele proprii, la fel ca şi redesignul, fiind implicaţi şi studenţi în proces.

Sa nu uităm că un logo total nou, fără nici o legătură cu vechea imagine poate provoca un conflict intrapsihic celor ce intră în contact cu imaginea sistemului. De aceea trebuie să păstrăm în mentalul colectiv imaginea de bază şi să facm schimbările lent, aproape inpercetibil.

Pentru cei care nu şi-au dat seama de schimbare, vă dăm un “indiciu”: cele patru colţuri au fost rotunjite, dând un sentiment de soliditate, robusteţe.

Zilnic facem alegeri,luam decizii.A decide,uneori,nu este un lucru usor.Presupune responsabilitate,consecintele deciziei pot fi de scurta durata sau de lunga durata,te implica pe tine si pe altii,consecintele deciziei pot fi reversibile sau ireversibile,deciziile implica aspecte importante ale vietii(profesie,casatorie,etc)sau mai putin importante.

Exista mai multe feluri de decizie:

#DECIZII OPERATIONALE=sunt decizii zilnice pentru actiunile de zi cu zi.Impactul e imediat,pe termen scurt ,iar consecintele sunt minime,in caz de decizii gresite.

#DECIZII TACTICE=acest tip de decizii au un nivel mediu de dificultate,importanta medie,iar consecintele,in caz de decizii gresite,sunt moderate.

#DECIZII STRATEGICE=reprezinta un nivel complex de decizie,sunt cele mai structurate decizii,cuprind scopuri pe termen lung,directii generale,valori,etc

Cuvantul ,,DE-CIZIE” inseamna diviziune,conflict.Cuvantul provine din latinescul ,,de” si ,,caedere‘;=a renunta.Decizia implica renuntarea la ceva pentru a obtine ceea ce iti propui.

As vrea sa va povestesc un moment crucial din viata mea,prin care am trecut cu putin timp in urma.

Istorisirea incepe in timpul bacalaureatului din anul acesta,sesiunea din vara.Rezultatele au fost cat de cat bune.Am luat o nota de 9,45 si deja imi faceam planuri la ce facultate sa merg.Planuri imi facusem eu mai de mult.La inceputul anului imi doream mult sa merg la Institutul Teologic Adventist din Cernica,dar pe parcursul anului mi se deschideau alte orizonturi si m-am gandit sa incerc intr-un oras universitar cum e Clujul sau in cel mai rau caz,Sibiul.Deja imi facusem planuri ca voi merge la Cluj.Uitasem de Cernica cu totul.Dupa Bacalaureat imi pregateam actele pentru depunerea dosarului.Am facut chiar si un drum la Cluj,am depus actele,am platit chiar si taxa de admitere.Eram foarte fericita ca voi merge la Babes Boliyai in Cluj la sectiunea litere-franceza-engleza.Am plecat acasa cu inima impacata,ca luasem o decizie fundamentala buna,si-mi asteptam rezultatele admiterii.Eram sigura ca voi intra la buget,si imi doream acest lucru.

A urmat perioada de asteptare a rezultatelor.Pe zi ce trecea incepeam sa ma ingrijorez,nu mai eram asa de sigura ca la inceput.Si imi spuenam:,,Daca nu intru la Cluj,ce ma fac? Daca nu intru la buget,dau 2000 lei si intru la cu taxa.Asta e!Dau si gata!Dar daca nu intru nici la cu taxa?

Am vorbit cu parintii si am hotarat sa mai depun inca un dosar.Imi pregateam actele pentru Sibiu,cand mama imi spune:

,,Cludia,de ce nu depui un dosar si la Cernica?”

-Cernica? Pai nu am zis ca nu merg acolo?Ce sa fac,asistenta sociala?

-Nu ai zis ca e si o clasa de litere?

-Ba da,dar nu franceza-engleza…E clasa de engleza-romana.

-Daca tot iti plac limbile,la romana de descurci,lasa franceza ca si asa nu e de viitor.

- Dar mami…nu stiu ce sa fac,si cu mana tinandu-ma de cap am stat pe ganduri…5 minute,si am zis:BINE,MERGEM IN CERNICA…

Totusi mai exista o problema….imi pusesem in plan sa merg cu cea mai buna prietena sa stam la Cluj impreuna in chirie…Ce va zice acum prietena mea?Si m-am hotarat sa o intreb daca nu vrea sa se inscrie si ea la Cernica.Uimita,a ramas pe ganduri,s-a sfatuit cu parintii,si vineri mi-a spus ca merge cu mine,la Cernica.Luni urma sa plec,ca sa ma inscriu marti si miercuri sa fiu prezenta la interviu.Duminica seara,prietena mea ma anunta ca nu vrea sa mai mearga cu mine.Ca ea se duce la Sibiu,sa se inscrie,si asa a facut.Ma descurajasem putin.Dar m-am rugat Domnului:,,Doamne,Tu cunosti viitorul meu.Eu vreau sa fac voia Ta.Daca e dupa planul Tau sa ajung in Cernica,ajuta-ma sa ajung acolo fara piedici.Faca-se voia Ta in toate” Vineri nu mai aveam toate actele in dosar.Imi lipsea o recomandare din partea bisericii,si respectiv a pastorului.Timpul era scurt,si am dat un telefon.Ciudat,fratel pastor nu-mi raspundea.Am insistat de vreo sapte ori pe parcursul zilei si intr-un final mi-a raspuns.Recomandarea am primit-o prin e-mail,dar aveam nevoie de stamplia bisericii,care o gaseam la 28 de Km de mine.Am mers luni in orasul unde am terminat liceul,am obtinut ca prin minune o recomandare din partea unui profesor,pe care nu stiu cum am putut sa-l gasesc la scoala la ora aceea.Apoi am pornit sa fac rost de stampila mult dorita.Secretarul bisericii,e fotograf,era la atelier,stampila o avea acasa.Si mi-a spus nu stie daca se poate duce dupa ea,pentru ca la 12:00 trebuia sa plece in Brasov.Dar a facut un efort si mi-a spus ca o va lasa acasa la un frate si cand ma intorc sa o iau de acolo.Am intarziat cu o jumatate de ora cand m-am intors dupa stampila,si mergeam chiar lejer prin oras.Cand ajung la poarta fratelui respectiv,se pare ca nu era acasa.Ce era de facut?M-am intors la atelierul fotografului si ca prin minune,omul ma astepta!Am primit stampila si o semnatura.Si bucuroasa m-am indreptat cu mama spre gara.Aveam tren la 00:49.Am avut de asteptat.La 7:00 am ajuns in Bucuresti.Dar cum ajungem in Cernica,ca nu m-ai fusesem niciodata!O prietena mi-a dat niste detalii,dar eram in ceata.Putin dezamagita,cautam statia de metrou.Cand ne-am urcat in metrou am urmarit harta si am vazut ca trebuia sa merg pana in celalalt capat al Bucurestiului.Ceata incepea sa se rarefieze.

Dupa ce am coborat din metrou,trebuia sa ajung undeva in fata la CORA…ma gandeam:,,Cum voi ajunge acolo,o fi departe?”Am intrebat o trecatoare si ne-a spus ca mergem cateva sute de metrii inainte.Tragand de bagaje,am pornit spre CORA.Am gasit apoi si un Maxi-Taxi,care ne-a lasat in fata Institutului.Am depus dosarul si am asteptat Interviul de a doua zi.Am trecut si de interviu.Si iata ca ERAM ADMISA!

Mi-a placut ce-am vazut acolo.Era asa de liniste…toata lumea iti zambea…Inima mea incepea sa se lege de acel loc,cand deodata intalnim pe cineva pe care nu-l mai vazusem de mult.Era fostul nostru pastor.Vazandu-ne in Cernica,uimit imi spune:

,,-Claudia,ai terminat liceul?Si te-ai inscris aici?Ai facut cea mai buna alegere.Dumenzeu sa te binecuvanteza!”

,,Ciudat” gandeam eu. ,,Toata lumea ma descuraja sa nu vin aici,ca nu e o alegere buna.Ca eu pot mult mai mult…si alte lucruri…”

Am hotarat sa astept rezultatele de la Cluj,si ma rugam fierbinte Domnului,sa se faca voia Lui.Dar imi placea in Cernica.Ma simteam ca acasa.Dar si la Cluj imi doream…Nu stiam ce decizie sa iau…

Nu stiam ce sa fac…Dar am plcat din Cernica cu gandul sa ma intorc…si totusi inca asteptam rezultatele de la Cluj!

Pe drum,la intoarcere am primit rezultatele….BOMBA!

Intrasem a 2-a la cu taxa.Acum ma gandeam…Doamne daca luam cu 3 sutimi mai mult la sport…De ce ai ingaduit Tu sa iau numai 9,37…puteam sa iau 9,40 si intram la Cluj…

De multe ori…trebuie sa luam decizii importante pentru viata noastra.Si daca Il rugam pe Dumenzeu sa intervina in viata noastra El va lucru.Important e sa aceptam voia Lui.

Dupa foarte putin timp am aflat ca prietena mea si-a gasit sa stea in Cluj la Scoala Biblica a Penticostalilor….si i-am zis Domnului:,,Multumesc Doamne ca ai intervenit in viata mea.Acum nu eram asa de linistita.Trebuia sa-mi caut chirie singura.Sau o gazda.Nu cunosteam pe nimeni acolo.Daca stateam in chirie plateam si vacantele.Am fost bucuroasa ca am ales Institutul Teologic Adventist,pentru ca stiu ca aceasta a fost voia Domnului pentru mine.Si ma bucur nespus ca L-am lasat pe El sa aleaga pentru mine….asa ca….am ales sa raman aici:

Viata este asemenea unui rau care curge la intamplare daca nu este dirijat.Deciziile tale sunt cele care iti pot influenta cursul raului,cursul vietii.

Valamikori alma materemet sokat elemezgetem e hasábokon, és néha a hangvétel elég kritikusra sikerül. De az építő jellegű kritika tulajdonképpen a megbecsülés jele (van erre valami jó magyar mondás?), és, egyébként is, akinek nem inge, ne vegye magára. Mivel sokszor felmerül bennem a kérdés, hogy miben hasonlít a Babeş-Bolyai jól működő nyugati egyetemekhez, és miben nem (magyarul: milyen irányban kellene változnia, hogy jobb legyen), vettem a fáradtságot, és összegúgliztam meg grafikonokba rendeztem egy néhány adatot. Íme, itt az eredmény.

A diákok száma az egyetem különböző fakultásain jó képet ad arról, hogy egyrészt mire fektetnek több hangsúlyt az egyetem vezetői, és másrészt, hogy milyen szakokra mennek szívesen az emberek. Itt a grafikon:

A gazdaságtan messze dominálja ilyen vonalon az összes többi fakultást. Ezen kívűl úgy tűnik, hogy a természettudományoknak nem sok diák jár és jut. A földrajz, mint a földttudományoktól különálló fakultás, érdekes egy anomália, de ezt most hagyjuk. Ami viszont furcsa, az a diákok nagy száma a földrajzon: messze meghaladja a fizika, kémia, biológia, geológia szakosok számát. Csak spekulálni tudok, hogy vajon azért van-e ez, mert sokan azt hiszik, hogy ha Braziliáról és az Európai Unióról tanulnak, akkor több esélyük lesz valamennyi időt Rióban meg Brüsszelben tölteni, vagy éppen az ellenkezője, valamilyen hazafias érzés vezérli a fiatalokat: egy jó románnak elvégre pontosan illik tudnia, hogy hol van Sarmisegetuza, melyik a haza legmagasabb csúcsa, és hol csinálják a legtöbb zoknit az országban. Merthogy a középiskolákban elméletileg nem kellene több földrajz, mint fizika, kémia, vagy biológia, az biztos (és kellene legalább egy öltés geológia is, dehát álmodik a nyomor).

Persze a természettudományok kolozsvári alultáplátsága nem föltétlenül anomália: lehet, hogy jobb helyeken is “keveset, de jól” alapon művelik az ilyesmit. Ha összehasonlítjuk a Babeş-Bolyain legnépszerűbb szakok arányát egy néhány nagy (vagy kicsi, de híres) amerikai egyetem hasonló adataival, ezt a képet kapjuk:

A hidegebb színek reáltudományokat jelképeznek, a melegebbek humán szakokat. Ami szembetűnő, az a kékes színek hiánya a Babeş-Bolyairól. A természettudományok számbeli kissebbsége tehát feltűnő a legtöbb amerikai egyetemhez képest is. További érdekesség az, hogy az itt listázott amerikai egyetemek mindegyikén a biológia egy számbelileg is fontos szaknak számít. Ezzel szemben a kolozsvári egyetemen a biológia még külön fakultásként sem létezik, hanem egy kalap alá van téve a geológiával, és a diákok száma nagyon alacsony, még a földrajzhoz képest is. A másik fontos különbség a mérnöki szakok jelentősége az amerikai egyetemeken, és teljes hiányuk a Babeş-Bolyain: tudom, hogy ezek a szakok a Politechnikán vannak reprezentálva, de a természettudományoknak (és, egy bizonyos fokig, a pszichológiának meg a művészeteknek) ez a teljes elhatárolása a mérnöki dolgoktól nem egy egészséges hagyomány.

A gazdaságtan és a pszichológia dominanciáját a Babeş-Bolyain talán részben az magyarázza, hogy ezek a szakok gyakorlatilag nem léteztek a kommunizmus idején. Ennek ellenére, az ilyen hatalmas beiskolázási számoknak túlságosan diplomagyár-szaga van. A pszichológia fontos és izgalmas tudomány manapság, különösen ha nem keverik össze a pszichoanalízissel és a Rorschach-teszttel, de 6000 pszichológus diák egy fedél alatt azért túlzásnak tűnik. Ezzel szemben a társadalomtudományok (a BB esetén ide soroltam a szociológiát, a politológiát, és az európai tanulmányokat) és a bölcsészet, enyhe meglepetésemre, nem túl dominánsak, különösen ha olyan európaibb stílusú egyetemmel hasonlítjuk a kolozsvárit, mint a Harvard. Az már részben ízlések és pofonok kérdése, hogy számomra izgalmasabb helyeknek tűnnek az olyan “szakbarbár” intézmények, mint pl. a Caltech és az MIT, ahol a “kemény”, egyenletekbe foglalható tudomány az úr. (Persze ettől függetlenül, mondanom sem kell, a Harvardnak nem kell szégyenkeznie a “kemény” tudományokban sem).

A Babeş-Bolyai leginkább a nagy amerikai állami egyetemekhez hasonlít (bár a fennebb említett különbségek itt is érvényesek), mint pl. a University of Texas at Austin, különösen a diákok számát tekintve. Magyarán a BB Amerikában a legnagyobb egyetemek közé tartozna (valószínűleg az első három között lenne mennyiség-vonalon).

Az egy tanárra eső diákok száma jóval nagyobb, mint általában Amerikában:

Egy másik nagy különbség a “rendes” diákok (angol “undergraduate”) és a posztgraduális (Master, PhD) diákok aránya: a legjobb amerikai egyetemeken ez az arány egynél kissebb, azaz több posztgraduális képzésen levő személy van, mint “rendes” diák. Ez persze azzal függ össze, hogy mennyire kutatás-orientált egy intézmény.
