It's A Different Kind of Christmas

Christmas is the time for joy. It is also the time for peace and giving. It is also the time to be with our loved ones. Truly, we can celebrate Christmas with full heart. In our place, we get to celebrate Christmas in our cousins’ place. We prepare our food for the Noche Buena. We prepare the sound system for the videoke player. And once Christmas comes, we open our gifts. We’ve been doing that for quite some time. I just love celebrating Christmas with our family.

But this year, we are going to celebrate Christmas in a different way. Instead of celebrating it with our aunties and cousins, we would celebrate it as a family…and nothing more. We plan to celebrate Christmas in Bacolod. My father is assigned in a place near Bacolod. During the previous Christmas celebrations, we celebrate it without our father. After all, he gets assigned in different places. We would be celebrating Christmas with our father in the place where he is assigned. Well…at least there’s a change in how we are going to celebrate Christmas

During the time my mom plans on purchasing some tickets, my mind was initially full of anxiety. Who knows? I’m not used to celebrating Noche Buena in a different place. Add the fact that it’s the first time that we would have Noche Buena without our Nanay. For a change, we would go to Bacolod and celebrate Christmas there.

After all, we went to Baguio last Christmas (uhmm…that was after Noche Buena…). My mom assures that Bacolod is a nice place. And hey, there’s SM! I would be purchasing my phone there instead of purchasing it here.

It’s time for a change. Change is good. But sometimes, you’ll feel this anxiety since you’re not used to it. Don’t feel bad about it. You will overcome that feeling of anxiety. Happy holidays everyone!

Uhmm…it’s not actually straight to Bacolod. But I won’t be telling the full directions. :p

Zest Air's Z2 Voyager Pass Now Available

The Zest Air Voyager Pass is a whole new way of traveling to your favorite Z2 destinations. It’s a booklet with 11 one-way flight coupons sold for travel to Z2 destinations. What is even better is you don’t have to stand in line whenever you have to book your flight. All you have to do is call the hotline, fill up and write on the ticket yourself and check-in for your flight! No waiting, no queueing, no kidding!

MECHANICS

1.	THE Z2 VOYAGER PASS BOOKLET – A Z2 VOYAGER PASS booklet is composed of eleven (11) one way flight coupons sold for travel to identified Zest Air destinations andvice versa.
2.	APPLICABLE ROUTES – The Z2 VOYAGER PASS coupons can only be used to any destination covered by the routes as indicated on the cover of the booklet based on the Route Category as specified therein. Booklets/coupons with a Category “C” level can be used to sectors falling within Categories “A” and “B” considering that “C” level is the highest fare booklet. Booklets/coupons with Category “B” level can also be used to sectors falling within a lower level category such as Category “A.” However, booklets/coupons falling within lower level Categories i.e. Categories “A” and “B” cannot be used to higher level Category booklets/coupons such as Category “C.”
3.	VALIDITY – The Z2 VOYAGER PASS is valid for carriage for one (1) year from date of purchase of the booklet.
4.	NO-SHOW FEE/NO-SHOW AT THE GATE – Ticket coupons not cancelled within 24 hours prior to the date of departure will be charged with the applicable NO-SHOW FEES. Z2 VOYAGER PASS holders who have checked-in on the day of departure but did not show at the boarding gate will be charged the applicable NO-SHOW AT THE GATE FEE upon revalidation of booking.
5.	NON-REFUNDABLE – The Z2 VOYAGER PASS is non-refundable. Zest Air will not refund, reissue or replace lost, unused or expired Z2 VOYAGER PASS coupons.
6.	TRANSFERABILITY – The Z2 VOYAGER PASS is transferable, the Z2 VOYAGER PASS holder can authorize anyone to use the coupons in the VIP Pass booklet. The procedures stipulated above shall be followed upon booking a seat.
7.	CBBG – Z2 VOYAGER PASS can be used as Cabin Baggage (CBBG) or baggage occupying a revenue seat.

HOW TO USE YOUR VIP PASS

RESERVATIONS/BOOKING – The Z2 VOYAGER PASS holder should call the reservations office to reserve a seat and declare that he/she is a bonafide holder. VOYAGER Pass holder without confirmed booking is subject to space availability.

FILL-UP FLIGHT COUPON – The Z2 VOYAGER PASS holder should fill-up the following boxes in their flight coupon using a permanent ink/ ballpoint with the details given by the Zest Air reservations agent. A flight coupon presented upon check-in written in pencil shall not be accommodated. The holder should finalize their booking by providing our reservations agent their coupon number.

a. Flight number b. Flight date c. Flight time d. Status e. Booking reference (original booking and new booking code) f. Date finalized g. All other pertinent details as may be reflected on the face of the booklet coupon.

3.	FINALIZING YOUR BOOKING – Finalize your booking by providing our reservations agent with your ticket number. After completing the details, tear off the flight coupon and present the original coupon upon check-in.
4.	REVALIDATION – Sticker for revalidation will be used to revalidate the Z2 VOYAGER PASS COUPON. Ticket surcharge will be applied for every Z2 VOYAGER PASS revalidation. Erasures and alterations will render the VIP Pass coupon null and void. Any revalidation needed shall be done at any Zest Air organic ticket offices only.

Bacolod: Mambukal's 7th Falls

We took the earliest flight to Bacolod and arrived there at before 7am. There were lot of taxis waiting outside the airport charging at Php 150 per pax and taxi van for Php 450 heading to Bacolod Proper. We chose the taxi van because it has the same price for Php 450 and we have the van for only 3 of us.

Approximately 45 minutes, we arrived at Bacolod Proper. The 3 of us (Oggie, Ferdz & I) agreed to stayed at Bacolod Pension Plaza because it is near the plaza. We took a nap because of lack of sleep. I exceeded our supposed to be 15 minute nap, I woke alone in our room and found out that the other two were outside, waiting for me at Chinky’s (they were shy to wake me up).

By noon, we rode a mini bus in palengke going to Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia. It is located at the foot of Mt. Kanlaon. The resorthas many ammenities like boating lagoon, butterfly farm, hot springs, sulphur vents, camping ground and many more. We ate our lunch at the resort’s food court and met our guide to the 7th falls of Mambukal afterwards.

The hike going up is easy. We reached our destination in less than an hour. Like what our guide told us, it standout among the others. I like the cascades of water on the scattered rocks.

Our guide took us on a different and shorter route because we need to catch the last trip back to Bacolod. After washing up at our inn, we treated our hungry stomachs at Lion’s Park. Of course, we ordered Inasal and my favorite Kinilaw. The food were superb at a good price. We roamed the streets to look for ice cream but there is none.

I took this shot during our previous trip to Bacolod City, Philippines at the Jomabo island using canon digital ixus 860 IS.

I found this shot very moving/heartwarming. I dunno.
Whenever i’d feel helpless/stressed from the amount of school works and deadlines to meet, I’d see this picture and will feel better and/or somehow motivated.
It must be the silhouetted figures in the distance who are like fishermen (they were looking for seafoods that can be caught during low tide) who were working since noon till evening or the sunset or both…(lol)
