Killarney hosts day two of its three day May meeting with a seven race card due of off to post at 5:50 at the picturesque county Kerry venue.

The opening Mares Maiden Hurdle looks a wide open contest but slight preference will be for Flaming Pop who had a decent run behind Shadow Eile at Fairyhouse and despite a poor run last time out she looks the one to beat with Bryan Cooper booked to ride.

The Laurels Bar (C&G) Maiden Hurdle can see Ballyadam Approach improve on his close Kilbeggan second to E Mac whilst the danger looks to be Giants Quest.

Tom Hogan’s Flycorn could run a big race in the M.D.O’Shea & Sons Hurdle after finishing fourth to Simonsig at Aintree last time out. Catch Me and Wolf Hall look like massive dangers whilst Won In The Dark also should be considered but slight preference is for Flycorn who will be ridden by John Cullen.

Champagne Agent and Shrapnel will battle it out at the head of betting in the Keg Security Tralee Maiden Hurdle but a solid each way bet looks to be Michael Hourigan’s Fine Presentation who can improve on his second last time out at Clonmel.

Noel Meade and Paul Carberry could combine with Original Option in the McSweeney Arms Hotel Handicap Steeplechase but the main dangers include Your Busy and Tranquil Sea.

Willie Mullins and his son Patrick combine to saddle Boxer Georg in the Dan Linehan’s Bar Hunters Steeplechase and they look the one to beat. Lady Fowler’s Good Egg and The Mull who will be ridden by Chris Cully look the main dangers.

Elsie will probably go off red hot favourite in the concluding Killarney Racegoers Club Ladies Flat Race with Jane Mangan booked to ride but a solid each way bet looks to be newcomer Ballyadam Oscar who will be ridden by Katie Walsh.

Killarney Selections

5:50 Flaming Pop

6:20 Ballyadam Approach

6:50 Flycorn

7:20 Fine Presentation each way

7:50 Original Option each way

8:20 The Mull each way

8:50 Ballyadam Oscar each way
