One of the first movies I remember ever watching was BAMBI. It was interesting, I did not really pay much attention to the masterpiece background paintings or powerful pieces of animation. At least I did not pay attention to them then, like I do now.

When I first watched BAMBI I was far too caught up in the humor of Thumper and the beauty of the forest to even have a thought to it not being real. To me, BAMBI was as real as anything else I saw in life. I was caught up in the characters, as though they were my own friends. I remember always loving the beginning, where we see young Bambi explore the woods and meet Flower the skunk and Thumper the rabbit. It was so funny too see Bambi try to skate on ice. I couldn’t believe that anyone could skate on ice with the kind of small feet Bambi had. I really felt sorry for Thumper’s efforts when, trying to make Bambi skate, turned into running for his life because Bambi did not know how to steer or stop and ended up pushing Thumper to the bank of snow. It was the simple things that pleased me about the movie BAMBI.

I also remember feeling the pain of Bambi’s loss. The pain I felt when Bambi was told that he could not be with his Mother anymore, was almost intolerable. I could not imagine not being with my mother at my young age.

I did not really understand why Bambi would fall in love with Faline and was sort of mad at him for doing so. But this did not make me less scared about the ANGRY buck Ronno, coming out of nowhere to bully Faline into going with him. No matter how many times I watched the movie, when Runno came out, I was always surprised and I could feel my heart sink. The sound I heard drew me even farther into the movie. Runno had his head bent, ready to fight Bambi to the death. He was pushing Faline away, the music got louder the more aggressive Runno became. Finally Bambi chose to fight, and I saw a hero charge into BATTLE. I couldn’t say anything but I wanted with all my heart for Bambi to win. I remember the contrast of color and the collaboration of music all pushing my emotion of fear for Bambi’s sake. Mere drawings were bringing my imagination to places never yet explored. FINALLY, Bambi threw Runno down the hill and had WON the battle. Oh the Joy I felt!!!

From there on, Bambi moved from just being a friend to being a character that I looked up to. Bambi was a hero that did many amazing things. I still remember the first feeling I had when Bambi’s father begged Bambi to “get up” just after Bambi got wounded by a hunter. This was toward the end of the movie and Bambi’s life was at risk. The fire was spreading and I knew that if Bambi did not get up, he would surly die. The persistence in the father’s voice moved me. I did not think the father truly cared for Bambi until then but seeing that the dad was not willing to leave his son behind was moving and made me realize that the father’s strict relationship was to make Bambi become stronger so when the time comes, Bambi could “Get up”. Bambi did get up and escaped the danger of the forest fire.

The picture of seeing the Great Prince of the Forest, Bambi, take his thrown at the top of the mountain, at the end, became one of my greatest symbol as a child and has stayed with me ever since.

I can say even now that movie BAMBI, is a masterpiece. It has been amazing to see all the small detail that was put into the story. Walt Disney and his artists were considered some of the best at story telling and now I can see why. Bambi is a representation of the true blood and sweat that went into a movie to further the points that most people now a days won’t even think of.

In the movie Bambi, you see drawings come to life, your see impressions and paint strokes become more real then a lot of what we interact with each day. Walt Disney made us go deep into our emotions, he made us think of the pleasures and sorrows of life, through everything working with each other. The music, the colors, and the movement complimented each other. In the scene with Runno, you feel the tension in the music, in getting more suspenseful the farther along we go, along with the extreme contrast of color to push the emotions that we are supposed to feel, combined with the dramatic movement in the drawings hitting extreme pose after extreme pose to make us think that Bambi is using all the strength he has.

Bambi to me was more then just a movie. I could see characters that actually lived and situations that ring true for me in real life. Something like, the death of Bambi’s mother, is shunned now a days out of fear of not being understood by the audience. Walt however, had confidence in even the youngest of Children, that they would see that you can draw strength from a loss and cherish life all the more, as Bambi did.

I will always remember Bambi as a symbol of persistence. I find great persistence through the story and how it was made. It was one of the first movies to give me hope, that you can push through even the hardest of events to find the beauty in life and I began to realize that a true Dreamer has no bounds.

Mit diesem Busen hat das deutsch-iranische Model Shermine Sharivar (27) das Herz von Hollywood-Export Thomas Kretschmann (47, „Operation Walküre“) erobert!

Auf der Aftershow-Party der „Bambi“-Verleihung hielt der dreifache Papa seine schönste(n) Trophäe(n) gewissenhaft im Auge, schoss stolz Fotos vom sparsam in „Armani privée“ verpackten Traum-Dekolleté seiner neuen Liebe.

Shermine ist auf dem Weg nach oben.
Bisher hat sie ja hauptsächlich in Schönheitswettbewerben auf sich aufmerksam gemacht („Miss Europe“ 2005). Das könnte sich bald ändern.

Shermine (hat übrigens Politik studiert!) wurde ja auch schon eine Affäre mit Fürst Albert von Monaco (51) nachgesagt. Die Karriere brachte diese Liaison nicht entscheidend nach vorne. Was aber, wenn Kretschmann sie nach Hollywood entführt?

Im prüden Amerika wird diese Oberweite wie eine Bombe einschlagen.!

Dramatic tension is essential for holding the interest of jack russells

Years ago, when my daughter and I first began drawing faces together, she discovered how easily tears could be added, and she would implore me, “Mommy, draw girl crying!” and I would do the round circle head, the eyes, the down-turned mouth, and last of all, the tears. My daughter is, and was then, a happy, sociable, energetic child, but during that phase she would have watched Bambi every day if I let her. Among her favourite books were the ones I mentioned in my last post, which have happy endings but go to dark places along the way — the threat of being eaten or embedded in stone. Such stories are still the ones she wants to hear again and again, long after the cute, sweet, light stories have been shelved and forgotten.

I like to muse about why children want these stories; when (if) they can be too much; how parents should handle the emotions they expose, and the inevitable questions they instigate. For instance, it took my daughter a long time to understand what the gunshot meant in Bambi, and to know what to do with the knowledge. When we read Babar, the story of an elephant whose mother is killed by a hunter, she immediately stopped me and asked, “Do hunters take moms away? Are there hunters in Toronto?” And for the rest of the book, she kept flipping back to that page where Babar’s mother was shot.

For weeks after the Bambi penny dropped, she’d ask, “Did you lock the door?” as soon as we got home. And then I started to hear her role-playing with her stuffed animals, and having one say to the other, “Your mother is not coming back. Your mother is never coming back.” (For a time I worried, but she is turning out just fine.)

Bambi, A Life in the Woods, by Felix Salten

First released in 1942, the movie Bambi holds up well today, and the book, originally published in Austria in 1923, is considered a classic and often referred to as one of the first environmental novels. Apparently its author, Felix Salten, wrote the story with an adult audience in mind, and indeed the Wall Street Journal reported that “you’ll find it in the children’s section at the library, a perfect place for this 293-page volume, packed as it is with blood-and-guts action, sexual conquest and betrayal.”

Salten was in his fifties by the time he wrote Bambi, A Life in the Woods, and had been writing plays, short stories, novels, and essays for years. But his books were banned by the Nazi regime in 1936, and as a Jew he was forced to leave Austria for Switzerland, where he remained until his death in 1945 — just three years after Disney released the animated version of his story, featuring a white-tailed deer rather than a roe, but retaining the heartbreaking scene in which “your mother can’t be with you anymore.”

I once met a grandmother who told me she didn’t think her toddler grandson should read How the Grinch Stole Christmas because she believed it was best to expose him only to happiness at his tender age. So that he would only be happy, I guess. But not even babies are “only happy.” In fact, you might argue that happiness is one of the more rare baby emotions. It takes weeks for a baby to smile; the wait is longer for laughter. (Said Charles Darwin, upon observing his own babies for The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals, “In this gradual acquirement, by infants, of the habit of laughing, we have a case in some degree analogous to that of weeping. As practice is requisite with the ordinary movements of the body, such as walking, so it seems to be with laughing and weeping. The art of screaming, on the other hand, from being of service to infants, has become finely developed from the first days.”)

Actually — if one is looking for good messages in children’s literature, the Grinch is a stellar example. This is one of the rare Christmas stories in which the protagonist comes around not out of self interest or self preservation, but simply because he is moved by goodness. But I’ll save that for a December post.

Am Donnerstagabend wurde nun schon zum 61.Mal der deutsche Medienpreis – der Bambi – verliehen.  Man mag es kaum glauben, aber neben Stars wie Kate Winslet, Maximilian Schell, Shakira wurde auch ein Österreicher ausgezeichnet – Christoph Waltz für seine Performance in dem Blockbuster „Inglorious Basterds“.

Er ist der Sohn des Bühnen- und Kostümbildnerehepaares Johannes Waltz und Elisabeth Urbancic und hat in den letzten Jahren bei Filmen wie Herr Lehmann, Das jüngste Gericht oder Die Patriarchin mitgespielt. Eins ist klar – Christoph Waltz gehört zu dem talentiertesten Schauspielern unseres Landes, aber auch er hat sich sicherlich nie träumen lassen, einmal bei einem Quentin Tarantino-Film mitwirken zu dürfen. In einem Interview mit der Welt Online verriet er wie sehr er die Arbeit mit dem Ausnahme-Regisseur genossen hat und beschreibt Tarantino wie folgt:

“Dieser Mensch hat eine irre Energie. Er legt eine Lust und Leidenschaft an den Tag, die einzigartig ist. Es gibt allerdings darüber hinaus auch Momente, die möglicherweise eher von Schauspielern so wahrgenommen werden, in denen er ganz bei sich ist, ganz ruhig, kaum ein Wort sagt, in denen er niemanden sehen will. Und so können Szenen voller Intensität entstehen. Eine Energiewalze, die ständig über das Set fegt, ist er jedenfalls nicht.”

Nach dem ersten Oscar für Österreich („Die Fälscher“) folgt nun ein Bambi – das nenne ich mal GOOD NEWS!

Non so neanche se il nome è scritto giusto. Matteo non me ne ha mai parlato… a me che sono il suo papà!?!?

Insomma mio figlio ha un amico immaginario da quando aveva 2 anni e io non ne sapevo niente, niente!!

Ho sempre desiderato un amico immaginario e ricordo perfettamente che nonostante la mia sconfinata fantasia non sono mai riuscito a visualizzare accanto a me nè un alieno nè un animale parlante. Così ho riposto la possibilità di vivere questa straordinaria esperienza nell’infanzia dei miei figli… e lui, il mio primo rampollo, cresciuto a pane e creatività cosa mi combina??? Trova Bambi e non me lo presenta, nè (soprattutto) mi ci fa giocare…

Ma da dove vengono gli amici immaginari? C’è una specie di pianeta tutto particolare dove dimorano in attesa che qualche pupo nostrano li “evochi“? Oppure vivono in mezzo a noi, opportunamente mimetizzati, e solo i bambini con i loro occhi speciali possono individuarli e parlarci?

Gli amici immaginari sono proprio una strana razza di amici. Di solito compaiono al fianco di primogeniti in crisi per l’arrivo di un fratellino o di una sorellina oppure vicino a quei bambini un pò troppo timidi… li sanno prendere per il verso giusto, ecco qual’è il loro segreto. Gli amici immaginari ci sono solo quando c’è bisogno di loro, non sono per niente invadenti. Conoscono le regole di ogni gioco senza che nessuno gliele spieghi prima, sanno essere propositivi e fedeli al tempo stesso… insomma sono proprio in gamba.

In giro non se ne parla molto; in passato soprattutto si pensava che la comparsa di un amico immaginario fosse sintomo inequivocabile di traumi psicologici, di esperienze dolorose non risolte. Oggi, fortunatamente, questa triste visione è notevolmente cambiata. Di fatto la comparsa di un amico immaginario in giro per casa non è fonte di preoccupazione per la famiglia, semprechè gli altri componenti rispettino la regola d’oro che prevede di non parlare con lui, di non dargli da mangiare nè di preparargli un letto per la notte. Insomma un amico immaginario per un bambino piccolo è un vero e proprio tesoro, molto, molto intimo…

Certo è che se Bambi scorrazzerà (atteso che sia una cerbiatto o un qualcosa di deambulante) ancora per casa nostra fra 8/10 anni allora magari toccherà intervenire in qualche modo, ma in fondo c’è tempo, tanto tempo… lasciamo che Matteo giochi con lui come gli pare, nella massima libertà, consapevoli che non c’è niente di più bello e appagante che le creazioni della propria immaginazione…

Da staunte ich gestern Abend nicht schlecht. Die Abendzeitung schrieb bei Twitter:
”Los, beschimpft mal Kati Witt für ihre Moderation beim Bambi !”

Vielleicht hatte ich einen Insider-Witz nicht verstanden? Immerhin habe ich die Bambi-Verleihung nicht gesehen und sie lief offenbar gerade live.
Deswegen habe einfach mal via Twitter nachgefragt: “Bitte was?”. Eine Antwort blieb allerdings aus.

Eine Zeitung die online dazu aufruft eine Frau zu beschimpfen. Wenn das Humor gewesen sein soll, habe ich ihn nicht verstanden. Und offenbar erging es auch anderen so, denn heute morgen ist dieser Beitrag dann auf einmal wieder verschwunden (siehe Screenshot rechts).

Schade, dass man wohl nie den Hintergrund erfahren wird. Betrunkener twittert? Praktikant twittert? Betrunkener Praktikant?

Peinlich ist die Angelegenheit auf jeden Fall, denn mit Programmen wie beispielsweise “Echofon” bleiben die Twitter-Beiträge auch nach der Löschung noch sichtbar und werden von “Follower” auch noch später gelesen.

Hoje está em todos os jornais e programas esportivos o que o atual presidente do Palmeiras disse numa festa de torcida organizada. A frase da discórdia é: “Vamos matar os Bambis!”.

Muito bem, você poderia aceitar isso de um presidente folclórico ou safado mesmo com o Eurico Miranda, ex-presidente do Vasco da Gama, mas se tratando de um intelectual do porte de Luiz Gonzaga Beluzzo, que até é professor universitário, não poderia dizer o que disse. É claro que ele não disse para matarem os sãopaulinos literalmente, mas como ele estava numa torcida organizada das mais encrenqueiras, para não dizer outra coisa, um cara ponderado não poderia falar em matar, onde tem pessoas ali no meio da galera, que só pensam nisso: “Quebrar a cara de alguém”.

Mas como o título deste post diz, educação não vem só de berço de ouro, ninguém aprende a ser educado numa faculdade, nós ensinamos uma criança a ser educada desde de bem pequena, e se engana quem acha que os mais ricos que tem a melhor educação, na minha família por exemplo, não se admite até hoje falar palavrões dentro de casa, isso é a boa educação. Muita gente que nunca pisou numa faculdade, com certeza é muito mais educada que muitos “doutores” por aí.

Ser educado nunca é demais, ter gentileza, sem precisar gritar para ser ouvido, sem querer passar por cima de alguém no trânsito, porque levou uma fechada ou então maltratar alguém porque não fez o que queria.

Não adianta gritar e ficar totalmente alucinado de raiva, aquela sensação de ódio só prejudica a nós mesmo, escrevo isso por experiência própria.

Enfim, as pessoas tem que aprenderem a viver em sociedade desde pequeno, porque quando tem seus 20 anos de idade, já vão estar frequentando vários lugares, como a faculdade por exemplo, onde vão conviver com várias pessoas diferentes, queira ou não queira, e se não souber lidar com certas ocasiões, vão se dar muito mal, correm o risco de ficar isolados, de serem tratados como os malas da turma, etc e tal.

Nós somos uma caixa de ressonância, se você resolve um assunto com violência ou gritaria, vai receber de volta com troco, mas se você, numa situação, consegue manter a calma e achar um caminho sem se alterar, ninguém vai gritar com você e muito menos agredí-lo.

Die Fernsehkritik fällt diesmal wegen Ohnmacht aus. Niggemeier hat aber durchgehalten und bringt das Grauen in  all seinen schaurig schönen Details treffend auf den Punkt.

Eu em meu antigo blog, sempre defendi o Belluzo quando ele anunciou a contratação do Muricy pelo Twitter, como economista não há o que se questionar o Belluzo, mas agora falar, “vamos matar os bambi” foge  a regra da ética além do mais falar isso no meio de uma torcida organizada em que basta torcer para um time diferente para as pessoas merecerem a punição de ter sua camisa roubada, ser espancado e até morto.

Em entrevista a Rede Bandeirantes ele já se desculpou e disse que tudo foi uma brincadeira, mas o erro foi pertinente, pois quem dera as torcidas organizadas levassem futebol como brincadeira e não como guerra.

Man sollte das Kind beim Namen nennen, bevor es in den Brunnen fällt. Das dachte sich gewiß auch die promovierte Politikwissenschaftlerin Sandra Pingel-Schliemann die in einer steuergeldfinanzierten Initiative namens „Lola für Lulu“ ihre Brötchen verdient, auch wenn dort nicht alles Brot ist, was glänzt. Frau Pingel-Schliemann will nun nämlich Neger mit Köpfen machen und rechtsextreme, antidemokratische oder diskriminierende Einstellungen selbst bei jungen Rehkitzen austreiben: „Je früher wir die Kids demokratisch stärken, umso besser sind sie gewappnet gegen rechtsextremes Gedankengut“. [2] Da staunt der Flachmann und der Wunde leiert sich: Warum sollen die jungen Rehlein im Walde gegen Nazis gewappnet werden? Natürlich, diese fiesen Typen in ihren grünen Uniformen, die mit alterthümlichen Schießeisen im Walde waffenklappernd auf Pirsch nach dem nächsten Tierholocaust sind, waren schon immer naziverdächtig!

Doch wer denkt, die mit Steuergeldern finanzierte politische Indoktrinierung selbst der Jüngsten wäre ein absurdes Schattenboxen gegen Rechts mit dem Ziel, braunäugige Gespenster herbeizureden und dadurch Arbeitsplätze gegen rechts für Frauen in ihren Wechseljahren zu sichern, der ist auf dem Holzdampfer. Denn die Gefahr ist nah und unsere Jüngsten müssen gewappnet sein, wenn im Jahre 2018 die Mondnazis auf die Erde kommen und die eilends zusammengetrommelte „Lichterkette gegen Fremdenfeindlichkeit“ mit einem Begrüßungs-Fackelmarsch verwechseln.

Agora eu perdi a paciência, Palestrinos.

Ontem, absolutamente todas as mídias do país atacaram o vídeo veiculado de nostro presidente em uma festa na Mancha, pouco mais de um mês atrás. No referido vídeo, todos condenam Belluzzo ao ele dizer que teríamos que “matar os bâmbis”.

Só tem um probleminha: esses repórteres tão bem formados e informados simplesmente ignoram o restante do discurso, onde Luiz Gonzaga Belluzzo defende a união de diretoria e torcida, uma proximidade e transparência maior – algo louvável. Apenas o Lance! trouxe mais declarações dadas na mesma noite.

E convenhamos que falar isso numa festa de torcida está bem longe de incitar a violência. É uma festa, é torcida, é figura de linguagem… Mas preferem pegar uma frase solta e condená-lo. Vende mais.

A verdade é que o Brasil e a impren$a estão cada dia mais chatos. Não é possível! Parece que de uns anos pra cá o futebol virou um mundo puro e ingênuo, que tem que ser exemplo para as criancinhas do mundo inteiro. Chega a ser revoltante.

E outra coisa: aproveito o momento para declarar que apóio Belluzzo em quase tudo que ele fez até agora a frente do Palmeiras. Ele trouxe patrocinadores sérios, chacoalhou o marketing do clube, ergueu de verdade um projeto de reforma do Palestra, investiu no time da menira que pode, defendeu a equipe publicamente e muito mais.

Só critico a demora em lançar um plano de sócio-torcedor decente e o excesso de “polidez” que teve em alguns momentos críticos (faltou pressionar STJD, treinador e equipe).

Saio 100% em defesa do nostro presidente. E espero que ele fique por mais quantos mandatos forem necessários. Forzza, Belluzzo!

Heute Abend ist es wieder soweit. Deutschlands Medienpreis Nummer 1 wird vergeben und Millionen von Fernsehzuschauern werden das Event live verfolgen. Von Michael Jackson über Pink und Britney, Til Schweiger, Maxilmilian Schell und Genscher- alle gaben sich beim BAMBI schon die Ehre. Das Who is Who aus der Öffentlichkeits- Branche findet sich immer wieder gerne auf Einladung der Burda Media zur Verleihung ein. Dieses Jahr ist Potsdam die gastgebende Stadt und wird sich schätzungweise genauso glamourös präsentieren, wie die beiden Moderatoren, die dieses Mal beide aus der Sportbranche kommen. Kati Witt und Tom Bartels werden uns kaum Zeit zum durchatmen lassen, so groß ist das Staraufgebot. Shakira, Silbermond, Helmut Kohl, Maximilian Schell, um nur einige große Namen und gleichzeitige Preisträger zu nennen. Nicht minder populär wird das im Saal sitzende Publikum sein, wetten dass ?

Fast wichtiger, als das mediale Großereignis ist der ” Tribute to Bambi”, der jedes Jahr am Tag (Abend) vor der Verleihung stattfindet und in dessen Vorfeld  Spenden für sozial benachteiligte Kinder gesammelt werden. Partner wie Schwarzkopf, P&C, etc. verkaufen speziell designte oder limitierte Produkte, deren Erlös komplett oder in Teilen den jeweiligen Stiftungen zugeführt wird. Am Charity Abend werden dann die Prominenten selbst noch um Spenden gebeten, was in den letzten Jahren zu einer Summe von 2,6 Millionen Euro geführt hat. Patricia Riekel, die Schirmherrin dieser Veranstaltung,  hat sich fest vorgenommen die 3 Millionen Grenze zu knacken. Mit der prominenten Unterstützung der Klitschko’s, Peter Maffay, Marit Larsen und anderen dürfte ihr das auch gelingen.

Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) Was A Perpetrated Fraud

Late last week, servers at Britain’s Climate Research Unit, a part of the University of East Anglia, were hacked and over 172 megabytes of data dumped onto the internet for public access.

The data paints an ugly picture of scientists operating as political hacks orchestrating smear campaigns against global warming dissidents, deleting files rather than make their data publicly available, and manufacturing data to prove their case when the actual data does nothing of the sort.

The University of East Anglia has confirmed the authenticity of the documents. With that confirmation, we see global warming for what it is — a scam perpetuated by scientists intent on gaining access to money.

Even the Washington Post has felt the need to cover this story. The Australian Herald Sunwas one of the first to cover the story. They note:

The 1079 emails and 72 documents seem indeed evidence of a scandal involving most of the most prominent scientists pushing the man-made warming theory – a scandal that is one of the greatest in modern science. I’ve been adding some of the most astonishing in updates below – emails suggesting conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organized resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more. If it is as it now seems, never again will “peer review” be used to shout down skeptics.

This is clearly not the work of some hacker, but of an insider who’s now blown the whistle.

Ed Morrisey, at Hot Air, and others have done significant digging into the emails and documents. The highlights are:

1. Prominent environmental scientists organize a boycott of scientific journals if those journals publish scholarly material from global warming dissidents.
2. The scientists then orchestrate attacks on the dissidents because of their lack of scholarly material published in scientific journals.
3. The scientists block from the UN’s report on global warming evidence that is harmful to the anthropogenic global warming consensus.
4. The scientists, when faced with a freedom of information act request for their correspondence and data, delete the correspondence and data lest it be used against them.
5. The scientists fabricate data when their data fails to prove the earth is warming. In fact, in more than one case, scientists engaged in lengthy emails on how to insert additional made up data that would in turn cause their claims to stand out as legitimate.

Andrew Bolt of the Australian Herald Sun has sifted through the emails and finds some surprises that, at first, he was not sure were authentic, but have now been confirmed to be authentic. One, from Kevin Trenbeth in Bolder, CO, to a group of fellow global warming scientists, admits “that [they] can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that [they] can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong.”

Another, from Professor Phil Jones at the Climate Research Unit, admits he “completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline [in global temperatures].”

This is damning stuff.

Last week’s Climategate showed how misguided the President’s environmental policies–like cap-and-trade policies–have been. By cracking into the servers of the Climatic Research Units, hackers exposed the fraud of global warming in dozens of emails written by the world’s environmental experts. According to the messages, scientists were manipulating the facts to hide their own inconvenient truth, which is that global temperatures have actually been on the decline. Of course, plenty of scientists had debunked those theories before the controversy, but President Obama insisted on moving forward with his agenda in direct contradiction to the facts.

Yes, there were many who didn’t need explicit evidence of misrepresentation to see the games that were being played.  Wesley J. Smith, writes,

“I didn’t need these e-mails to figure out the game being played by the global warming hysterics… Here’s a clue: If the Democratic Congress refuses to investigate, they know it’s true. Ditto the UN and the UK Parliament. Alas, that is my prediction..” -

Sadly, global warming has become a cause that has been used to support any number of illigitmate agendas.  For example, fund contraception and abortion before global warming destroys the earth. A mandate (wink) is not necessary.”  Now the house of is collapsing and the church of global warming has been exposed.

The [New York] Times’ lead environmental blogger, Andrew Revkin, haughtily refused to reprint damning e-mails leaked by a hacker in the burgeoning “ClimateGate” scandal. The documents reveal a long trail of manipulated data, but Revkin balked at the ill-gotten trove. The blabbermouths at the Times had no problem exposing national security secrets to undermine Bush. But shed light on scientific hoaxes that undermine Al Gore? Unethical!
