I went camping last night at a secret little spot amongst the Karri trees in Boranup Forest. A beautiful evening under the stars, a warming campfire and a  bottle of Edwards Cab Sauv made for some very contented campers.

Just after sunset we were joined by some similarly contented Southern  Brown Nosed Bandicoot’s or Quenda as the local Aboriginal people know them

Bandicoots are multi-oestrus, meaning they breed at several times during the year, not just in one short season. Female bandicoots have very tiny babies, which are born after only 12 1/2 days’ gestation. This is believed to be the shortest gestation period of any mammal. The babies climb into the mother’s pouch the same way baby kangaroos do. They drink milk and grow, until they are big enough to come out of the pouch. When they are about three months old they can begin to live by themselves. Female bandicoots can have as many as five babies, but usually only one or two survive.

Southern Brown Nose Bandicoot or Quenda

Bandicoot pouches are open at the back, not at the top like kangaroo pouches. Bandicoots spend most of their time on all four feet. They do a lot of digging. If the pouch opened at the top, it would get full of dirt, which wouldn’t be very nice for the baby bandicoots-also the extra cargo would slow down the bandicoot when she was running from a predator.

The Quenda is on the threatened list. Despite its listing it is a regular visitor to the Boranup Forest campsites showing little fear as they forage around picnic tables.

I didn’t want to write when tired.  When I write tired I sound all sad and mopey, and I really wanted to write about how much I am enjoying Albany.  But, of course, I am tired.  I will do the best that I can.

If you hadn’t worked it out already, we are in Albany.  This is the first time that we have stayed somewhere for four nights and it has been *bliss*.  I am not sure if I want to continue with the trip, I have enjoyed staying still so much!

It has also been a lovely place to stay still.  We are staying in a terrific caravan park (the Big 4 on Middleton Beach – and I mean, right on Middleton Beach.  It is about 30m from our door to the beach.)  It is big enough to have some  nice facilities (not that we have time to use them) but small enough that Horatio can enjoy having his bike down and assembled.  He is getting to be a very clever rider, too.  (He calls himself “Rossi” and refers to himself in the third person.  He also tells us that his bike is a Yamaha.)

The wind in WA has been something else.  We have been told that it has been unseasonably windy, but that is kind of obvious, or else no-one would ever have inhabited these parts.  It has really been awful.  However, here in Albany it hasn’t been so bad (you can even stand up!) which has given us a chance to open our eyes slightly beyond slits and enjoy the sights.

I have been a little disappointed with the historical aspect of the town.  (Yes, I know, I am supposed to say “city” but it really is a town.)  It was the first white settlement in WA and was set up as a penal colony, but with a view to rehabilitation.  The place should be crawling with cool stuff to see and read.

Yesterday, we went to the old gaol, which I found interesting.  It gave some insight into the town, not just the history of the gaol.  I found it particularly interesting that there was a special cell for runaway seamen – they were kept locked up until their ships were leaving.  There are engravings on the wall from Swedish seamen who were kept there.  I found that is particularly interesting, given how my great-grandfather arrived.

We then wandered down to the Brig Amity – a life-size replica of the original in which the first settlers saled from Sydney.  We didn’t go aboard as it was another entrance fee. ( Everything is another fee and another fee, here.)

We have also visited the Sandlewood Factory (hmm.  Very touristy, more’s the pity); okay, here is an embarrassing bit of holiday brain… I can remember what all this stuff looks like, but do you think I can remember a single name?  And the map is back in the cabin!  Ai-yai.

One thing that has really struck me in a most surprising way about Albany, is how much it reminds be of Vancouver (in Canada).  The Royal Princess Harbour here, just reminds me so much of the harbour there.  And what is also more surprising is that I have since discovered that Vancouver (the man) was one of the early captains of the settlement here.  Wow.  Maybe he really left his stamp on things?

So this has been Albany.  Tonight Sel is cooking a bbq here – I hope the weather holds for him, as it has been rather squally the last two days.  I will be supporting my latest habit – pumping coins through the washing machines (I did four loads as soon as we arrived here…) and goodness knows what the boys will be up to – probably chasing bandicoots (did I tell you that we have some bandicoots living right next to our cabin?  How cool is that!) or standing by the roadside calling out “Bump-bump!!” every time a vehicle goes over the speed humps.

Bandicoot kaki babi (Chaeropus ecaudatus), sayangnya sudah punah

Yang paling menarik dan terkenal, inilah bandicoot kelinci atau bilby (Macrotis lagotis)

Tapi jangan pernah samakan bandicoot dengan tikus bandicoot yang ada di Asia. Yang itu hanyalah tikus besar dan tak ada hubungannya dengan species bandicoot.

I found a bunch of my old PS 1 games.

Spiderman -one of the first games I completed. I could go on for ages about how cool that game was at the time.

Rayman – I remember liking it, but I’m fairly sure I never got far, or even to the second level.

Doom – One of the first games I ever played. Thank you uncle Liam. Although when  your 4 you will always find it scary.

and Crash Bandicoot – Good times all round.

Then I unearthed Spyro the Dragon.

Spyro has always been special to me. It’s very possibly the only game of mine my mom took the time to sit down and play a bit with me. It was the game where I learned what “saving the game” meant (I originally thought that it meant that I won the game by doing it). It captured my imagination for months before I even had a Playstation. I’d seen it in toy shops on display machines on the run up to Christmas. When I got my Playstation for Christmas that year (Not sure when. I think I was 5 so that may equate to 1998) Spyro was bundled with it under the Christmas Tree.

I still associate Spryo more with my childhood than maybe even the pokemon games (which came later to me I believe). Pokemon was always the “In” thing, at school on TV or wherever. But Spyro was always the “safe”  homely game. The sequel  I remember slightly that much better due to myself being both a better gamer and older, hence, more  tangible memories, I guess.

So when I unearthed it today it was a great feeling. Not that I’d forgotten it, but that I had it again. I got in the mood to google it off to see what the series is up to these days and to get some facts straight in my head. I wish I hadn’t.

Before I go on I’m going to just say that even though I never considered what the series was up to I guess I had some assumptions based on nothing floating around. I assumed there were the original 3 spryo’s of the time, maybe a Gameboy/DS spinoff and then a new version one for the ps2/xbox generation maybe comprising 1 or two further sequels to the original. Not far off from the truth.

It turns out the original developers (Insomnia) dropped the series after the third game. It then went down the endless route of having half a dozen games on the gameboy ilk. The series also got 2 more sequels both from other low key developers both apparently getting middling reviews.

Then the series got a “reboot” (… straight into the crotch) and came back into being “The Legend of Spyro” which was supposed to have been collectively thought of as “what the fuck?!?”. All the original story gone. Only Spyro and his firefly friend, “Sparx”, survived the jump-ship. The series as far as I can tell went all over the place. They even stopped using the composer of the lovely original scores (Stewart Copeland) along the way. I still remember that music!

Then I saw they are making a movie. I was actually happy at that. It seemed a nice idea. Then it turns out its based off the reboot and is done by the creators of the Eragon movie. *shudders* So not only is my iconic childhood game not going to be remembered as it should be because of the reboot. It will very likely find a lot more haters because of the stymie of having a bad movie attached.

That’s all just angry ranty speculation. I know that. My gripes boil down to this. I always imagined one day telling my kids about the “good ol’ fun I had with Spyro”. But now in that scenario I see them replying with a “Spyro? Weren’t those the weird ps2 games with the shitty movie?”, after which I’d beat them for cursing.

Lesson learned. Leave your happy childhood alone.

So yeah, about 90% of this article was unneccary but thats how much I value the importance of my Spyro.

Ahhhhh, que sa fait du bien de jouer a un bon ” vieux ” jeux , du crash, totalement fun !

Points négatifs :

- Parfois sa pique un peu ( pixellisation ), mais en même temps, ce n’est qu’un jeux de PS1 !

- 32 niveaux , c’est trop court

- Les menus en Anglais

Point positifs :

- Crash, Crash, Crash !

- 32 niveaux quand même

- Le fond sonore

- Graphismes légérement améliorées

Ma note : 16/20

Sa reste un trés bon jeux, dommage qu’il n’y as pas une nouvelle version, avec des graphismes au meme niveaux que la PS3, mais il attend quoi Mr Sony ?!

I mentioned a few weeks ago that The Mint Chicks were looking to create a “bigger network” to promote unsigned bands. Now we have ‘No More Blogs’, a website that showcases ten of those new bands. The site allows you to hear a song from each group and also links to each of their MySpace pages.

There are some pretty great tracks to listen to including ex-Mint Chicks bassist Michael Logie and his new project F In Math. Logie has also added some excellent cover versions of ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’ and ‘Benny And The Jets’ to the F In Math MySpace page, which are definitely worth checking out. Others include the Nevernudes, Bronx Kill, Bandicoot, Butt Simpson, Imaginary Friends, People People, Nice Birds, State of the Sleepy and Rifles.

Ladies and Gentlemen, in honor of the blessed occasion of Easter, The Elephant is proud to present to you: THE BILBY.

THE BILBY is a marsupial, native to (unsurprisingly) Australia, and is a close relative of the bandicoot*.  It does all the things you’d expect a dememted-looking marsupial to do: burrow, eat bugs, breed rapidly, become endangered… but unlike other marsupials, THE BILBY (whose name should always be spoken with the definite article, and a certain degree of gusto) is helping Asutralia by competing with invasive species–not for food or habitat, but for air time.

That’s right, this rabbit-eared, long-snouted rat-beast is being promoted as an Australian replacement for the Easter Bunny, that jolly holiday icon whose prolific kin are slowly destroying the Australian countryside.  I do not know whether THE Easter BILBY is meeting with a lot of success, but we here at The Elephant offer him our full support: if THE BILBY can go ten rounds is a snuggle-off with a creature widely held up as the international standard for cute, then there is hope for the rest of us.  God speed, THE BILBY.  May your light show us the way.

Fetishes are… interesting.  It’s the best word I can think of, honestly, as to how I feel about all the odd fetishes out there.  I saw something earlier about girls who like the inside of their noses licked.  What I was trying to find out, googling “nose bump fetish”, was if or not I could find a crowd of people online who liked girls or guys (or both, whatever) with noses that have that “bump” to them.

I’m one of the “lucky” people without one, as bump-noses will tell me.  I kind of like the nose bump.  I don’t know if I could consider it a “fetish”, but I do think I have the potential to develope a nose bump fetish.  I’ve been told my nose is freekishly smooth.  Well, hey, thanks, there, buddy.  O_o

Yeah, I’m aware this is a very strange thing to blog about.  No, I don’t care.  Heh.  A lot of times when I rub my nose in deep thought (XD!) I’ll wonder what it’s like to have a nose bump, you know?  My great aunt’s best friend got bump removal last year and I almost died when I heard that she did that.  I’m told that the surgeons lift the skin up off of the face, and saw away at the bone, in that kind of surgery. 

I personaly think bump-removal is a waste of money.  If I had a bump, even if I hated it, I don’t think I’d be willing to pay very much to have a peice of my body hacked off.  I don’t want to be ignorant to the people who have it done, but that makes me want to “ewwwwww!!!”

My girlfriend in real life has a cute little bump on her nose.  I just think it’s so cute, and I just wanna poke it when I see it!  < 3  She has taught me, that if you’re dedicated to trying, you can make yourself develope a fetish for something that… doesn’t really do it for you.  She’s introduced me to “expansion art”. 

Here are some examples of what we refer to as “expansion art”.  We also reffer to it as “DoubleUgee”  (WG, for weight-gain when referring to expansion art in which a subject over-eats deliberately to gain weight fast, or is force-fed).

^ “preg” expansion is art that fetishizes women OR men (in this case it’s m-preg expansion) pregnant.  The only growth that happens is in the belly.  Like a lot of expansion art, there are “phases” of pictures, the next picture with a larger belly than the previous.  Some will have a little science-fiction storyline to go along with the pictures, but the expansion is always obviously the main point.  This kind of art might just be fetishizing the shape of the pregnant belly, and the idea of it getting bigger, but many fans seem to love the idea of a baby growing rapidly inside, too.

^ Boob expansion art.  I haven’t seen any of this done with male subjects before, but I imagine someone out there draws it.  The boobs get bigger.  A lot of bursting out of clothing appears in this kind of sexual art.  Shirt and clothing bursting, and ripping.

She particularly introduced me to Weight gain art, though.  Here’s a female example.  She doesn’t care for female WG, and goes for more of a shota-like male WG.  Cute, feminine characters with adorable faces…  in other words shota.  Heh 

I really haven’t developed a preference, but I think I may like female a tad more.  WG art with grown men can be kind of creepy, I must admit.  Looking at a WG comic with an adult male for the first time…  I just wanted to put a blanket over the screen and… go somewhere else.  Clear my conscience, you know?  XD

Some expansion art will show and mention weights like the one above.  I think that the above picture is a great example for someone whose never heard of it.  Someone else may think otherwise.  A lot of the times, the fetishing over the idea of someone getting fatter comes hand in hand with fetishizing over fat people in general.  Some people have a preference in storyline type in WG.  Some hate WG in which the WG’d (When her and I talk, we use WG as a verb as well.  Either this or “wug”.  A slang word that we use obviously based on how WG sounds if you try to say it.  Wugged.  Past tense of Wug. Wugging- the act of inflicting wug upon someone.  XD) subject just overeats.  The gluttony bothers some people.  Others love that.  I know someone who prefers force-feeding storylines, because they’re turned on by the idea of force-feeding someone, as well as expansion, and fat people.  There are also preferences in materials used in force feeding.  Some prefer a “feeding tube”, and others just love to shove it on down.  Some like to see cupcakes being fed, and others just want to pack in the lard.  Literally.

If you’re just reading this thinking “wow.  this chick is discusting”.  I know just where you’re coming from, and don’t blame you.  Don’t worry.  At one point, never in my life did I think I’d like fat people the way I do now.  I don’t make a pig out of myself, and check out every whale in the ocean, though you know? 

There’s a time and place for fetishising, and I have the conscience and restraint to not be sick and gawk at every heavy tipper I see walk past.  That’s just wrong.  They probably would be disturbed if I did that and they noticed.  I just don’t do it.  I don’t look at fat people that way outside of the internet.  lol.

For a time when I was little I had a weird fetish for pregnant ladies.  I hated having the fetish and it was confusing to me back then.  I didn’t understand feelings like that, and I would turn bright red when I saw pregnant women, and I’d just hate it.  I’d feel like I was committing a crime.  No one could ever know how I felt when I thought about them, if they could possibly ever find out.  Sometimes I’d put a ball in my shirt back then to see what I’d look like pregnant.  I imagine, I looked rediculous.  XD

I was like… 5 years old, and I had this little pink diary thing that I had, and I’d draw pregnant girls in it and always be trying to get it exactly right, what they looked like.  Specifically, it could have been considered furry preg art, because I often gave them ears, tails and faces like the girl bandicoots from crash.  Heh, I’d use them for reference, and liked the two-toned skin which I didn’t realise was actually supposed to suggest fur-colours.  Two toned skin and pregnant women faded off my fetish list, though, for some reason.

At that age I had limited knowledge of sexuality.  I never had crushes on boys, and so I just figured whoever I think looks nice must be someone I have a crush on.  Well, there are few people in this world I consider ugly, because If they have an ugly mouth to me, I’ll look at their lovely eyes instead. 

Though it feels wrong to say so, I have to admit there are certain features that people can have that make me want to look away.  I don’t know if I could ever change that.  Usually it’s the looks on peoples faces.  I don’t like a face that obviously has a bitch behind it.

Anyhow back then I didn’t even see the connection between my fantasies and sex.  I didn’t even know how sex worked.  I right out thought when a man and a women had sex, they dropped what they were doing, took their own clothes off, first of all, or kept them on if they felt like it, and got on the floor, and rubbed their bodies together like confused idiots, and then the stork would just magically know they were doing this, and come plummeting down from heavon with a baby.  

I guessed that since sex according to my friend, didn’t always result in a baby, sometimes the stork got hit by a plain on his decent from heavon.  lol.  I guessed maybe god replaces the stork whenever that happens.  Very twisted interpretations on “how babies are made”, I know.

I just knew the weird feelings I got back then, and they were a good thing to me, and a bad thing for any other people to know for some reason.  I didn’t even know Lesbians existed back then, but I suppose that’s the only thing I really could have been called back then.  Lesbian, but only for pregnant women.  I was… a very strange child.  I bet there are lolicon fans of some kind out there who’d love to read this entry.  X_x  Ah, whatever.

Anyhow yeah, I didn’t used to be a fan of expansion art.  I felt reeaaaly bad for reacting in a “WHat thE #$^$^!!!!???” – type manner one day, when I was drawing serenely, and looked up to see what my girlfriend was doing, and there was this big… flattened out fat person who looked like a sad attempt at a pizza base, all sprawled out accross a bed… on the computer screen.

If we were in an anime, she would have gotten the saddest little sweatdrop above her head in history.  It didn’t even occur to stupid me, that she liked fat people, even now, but I quickly rephrased my gibberish sentance, hoping to fix whatever I’d said to get that hurt look in response.  It didn’t help.

I got up and took a look at the screen, and started rambling.  It had been just the other day that I stumbled upon what I thought was the same artist on devianart.  I remembered browsing around boredly, and just coming accross this big fat naked dude, all shiney and wet and fluffy and being totaly confused.  I didn’t think it was utterly discusting like some of the commenters did, but I didn’t exactly agree with the ones who were calling it “sexy” either.  I truly beleived they were all just being mean, and joking about fat people.  This was years ago, and now I know better!  There are people who really like fat people that way, and I’ve joined the ranks as one of them.

As I told her about the picture I’d seen the other day she turned back to the screen and started clicking.  I thought I was being ignored or something, but kept on babbling about what I’d seen in the comments and such.  I look up two seconds later, and she already has the same picture pulled up on screen.

For the most part she just stayed quiet as I went on this spontaneous ramble about fat people, and some peoples high-standards for beauty.  She’d nod once and a while, and sometimes give me the anime sweatdrop face, and then continue nodding.  XD  A lot of our convorsations back then consisted of one of us pratteling on about anything really, and the other nodding, and lol-ing, and making faces and comments.

At one point in my babbling I right out said something like,  “You know, there ARE some really cute fat people out there.  Anyone can have amazing looks, fat people just have fluff.  They’re still beutiful in the face even if they don’t have a pin thin body”.  And I got my first grin in 20 minutes.

So after a while of talking back and fourth about fat people, and health issues, and the strange people in the comments section, I mustered up the couradge to do what I’d never thought possible.  I told her about the pregnant ladies thing. 

By this time, I knew it was a fetish, and understood it, but at this point, I no longer felt anything when I saw a pregnant women.  Once and a while, I’d explain, it comes back, but for the most part, it was gone.  I was amazed when she didn’t give me any sort of strange look in return.  She seemed to admire the fact that I’d admit it to her, and was grinning from ear to ear like an imp.  In the meantime I’m just thinking “what the…  how can you be smiling?  I’m so freeking weird”.

And eventually she came out and told me.  She likes fat people.  I was a bit stunned at first, then I had to ask, “people?”  She hadn’t specified “fat boys” or “fat girls”.  She said that she didnt’ care for girls so much, and liked boys better.  She laughed at my face when I attempted to imagine even thinking about of a fat person in that way.  I must have made a great face.  I didn’t get how fat was all that great.  To me being really really overweight just seemed to suck.  I thought previously that *everyone* considered that to be gross.

She then got this terrible little idea, and decided to try and “train” me into liking fat people. She said “I can teach you”.  Naturally, I felt bad rejecting even such an outrageous offer from an adorable face. 

I told her I’d give it a shot, but I doubted I was capable of liking fat people that way.  They didn’t gross me out like they seemed to do to most people my age, but I didn’t exactly want to jump into one like they were a pile of leaves either.  Fat people were best at a distance, please, thanks.

My first lesson was being told “you can’t think of it like… some drunk bald greasy hairy guy coming out of Mc donalds drooling ketchup, and a samwich hanging out of his mouth, with one waiting in the other hand.”  (not direct quote, but it went something like that.)  She explained I had to think of fat art with a certain state of mind.

She’d previously, and embarressingly/accidentaly found out that I was a Yaoi fan.  The prying pandora started flipping through my chaotic dresser drawer stash of notebooks with writings and sketches in them once when I was commanded to take a shower, even though I had a guest over.

I came back and freaked out on her, but she said it was alright, she didn’t think anything of it, and praised my writing, too.  I wished she hadn’t read that particular thing, of all things, and I already didn’t feel comfortable with the idea of someone reading something that I wrote int he first place.  There were two kinds of writing: school projects, and my stories. 

My stories, though,I considered to be more liek diary entries.  Im someone who’s very connected to their characters.  They really do have their own little world in my head lol.  They seem to run amuck with their own freewill, and I forget I am the one controlling them at times with my imagination.  My writings were  just recordings of whatever silliness played through my head that day, put into the best sounding words possible.  It was a sacred thing. 

Every notebook I owned was diary-like.  Sacred.  And if anyone read anything from my notebooks, It felt violating.  No exadduration.  It was rape.  It didn’t matter if it was a silly passage, or an explicit passage, but of all things for the first person to find my notebooks to read while I was in the darn shower.  She opened the worst possible notebook up to what I considered the crasiest f*cking thing I ever dared to let my hand scrawl out.  *I* didn’t even turn to that page very often.  I surprised myself in writing it.  A Yaoi chapter.  (something I no longer consider a big deal even, anymore!  XD  Big bad Yaoi chapters hold no guilt for me now, but I rarely write smut.)

Anyhow after stumbling upon this, she learned some bad habits from me too.  She kind of…. trained herself into liking yaoi too, because she didn’t want to think of anything I liked as gross, I think.  I feel bad to think she’d go through that kind of awkward trouble for me.  She said she used to think it was gross to me.  I couldn’t ask for a more understanding and accepting girlfriend in a million years.  She truly awes me.

So anyhow, back on the subject of WG.  She had learned about this ahead of time, so she went out and as an area of study, in my fat-loving boot camp, (lol.) she dug up a yaoi-shota-forcefeeding-vampire chapter of a story by someone on deviantart.  She sat me down in the chair and told me to read.  She didn’t even say what it was.  And she told me to read it ***aloud***. to her.  I couldn’t help but cover my face and beg to stop, and laugh nervously, but she made me read the dang thing if she died trying to force me.  At the time I wasn’t particularly a shota fan.  That’s half her fault too.  I’ll talk about morals and shota some other time.  Im no pedo, though.  That’s probably hard to understand.  i said I’ll explain later.  Another blog.

Anyhow, that was an incredibly embarressing experience.  I couldn’t beleive my mouth could say such things out loud.  XD  But after months of practice, the fetish just kind of started to rub off.  It started clicking together in my mind as being a sexual thing, and it just all fell into place.

Now we have all these inside jokes about WG and are complete expansionfan idiots together.  I still wonder how the heck it happened. O_o  I draw fat people sometimes now out of boredom.  It’s become just a part of my life lol.

After experiencing having been “taught” how to fetish over something, I was fascinated.  Every once and a while I’ll look around on the internet for some kind of new strange fetish. I don’t think I’ve dedicated myself quite as much to learning how to like anything like I have done to expansion art, but i’ve definately been able to at least be able to tollerate looking at things that bothered me before.

There was another odd fetish I had back in 3rd grade.  I had a fantasy character I made up.  This is going to sound like the strangest bullsh*t you’ve ever heard of if you have never heard of a Drider before.  (I didn’t either at the time).

I’d attempted to make up a vampire story.  I had a protoganist…  named him Xion…  and made up a little about him.  He was supposed to be a young vampire.  About 15.  maybe 13. By young, meaning he was young when turned into a vampire.  His real age was like… 100 or something, but anyhow.  It was a comedy story.  He was pretty bad at being a vampire and his overly-enthusiastic-optomistic father would scold him for not drinking blood.  Xion wouldn’t drink blood because #1 he was afraid of humans, and #2, he was obsessed with eating olives.

I really don’t know how I come up with this crap.  I really don’t.  Eventually I figured maybe I should give this vampire character a girlfriend, so I invented Nami.  She was a snotty little werewolf girl who wouldn’t take no for an answer, and was just obsessed with him.  Originally, I thought it would be funny to have her follow him around and seem annoying at first, and then in the tend of the “story” (if i ever ended up writing it) he’d give her a chance, and go out with her, and they’d fall madly in love.

That was the most adorable Idea I could come up with right there.  Blood sucker and a hairy dog chick.  Lovely, right?  I’ve always loved vampires, and a female frankenstein just didn’t seem to work for the role in my opinion.  It sounded stupid.  So werewolf it was.

Then I came up with the idea of giving Xion a little side-kick type companion.  I was familiar with the anime series Nightwalker at the time, and was an insane Shido fangirl.  Now to think of it, how the heck did I get my hands on an anime like Nightwalker at that age?  There’s …content in that series.  It’s still my favorite ^_^ I kind of just looked away from the screen whenever something crazy popped up back then. 

I figured it was okay to still watch the movie, if I didn’t look at it!  It was an anime, after all.  It’s not like it was even real, right?  Now I wonder why the dude at the rental store didn’t tell me I couldn’t have the DVD, even looking on the back of the cd cover, where it says theres nudity and violence, etc.  Nowadays I wonder what kind of sicko let me skip out of the rental store with it, and wish I could thank him, cause I loved the show reguardless of it’s “ickyness”.

Anyhow, the vampire protoganist has a little side-kickish imp fairy girl who pops her green little head out of his hair every once and a while to make her two cents.  XD those familiar with the series know her as Guni.  I loved guni.  She was the most hystericle little thing I’d ever seen.  I decided I wanted to give Xion a sidekick like her, but I didn’t want the little friend to be the same.

One idea was to make his friend just a pixie, who he’d let live in a tissue box.  I thought it might be a dramatic and funny idea to make her really pretty, so when Nami eventually found out that Xion had a pixie, she’d get really jealous, and think the pixie was his girlfriend.  XD

Well then I got an even humourous idea.  How about the same concept, but instead, the pixie could be a little GUY?  I pondered the thought for a while, and decided I was daring enough to try it.  I didn’t plan on actually having any kind of “content” in this story, but I thought it would be cute if Xion had a little pixie boyfriend, and was secretly gay.  This of coarse ruined the whole romantic ending with Nami, but I didn’t care.   This idea was more interesting, and original.

Then I sat down and tryed my hand at drawing this little pixie guy.  I wanted to give him little antennae of some sort, but couldn’t decide on the shape, and just drew a few long lines, saying I’d go back and give him proper antennae sometime.  Then I just started drawing this crazy tatoo on his chest based on the red hour glass that black widows have ontheir bodies.  I couldn’t come up with a tribal design, and so I just went with it.  It looked neat there.

It was then I started to notice…  He looks like a bug.  I named him Ryoda I think as I was half way done the drawing.  All Japanese inspired names.  I think Xion and Nami are actual names, though.  Out of a random burst of inspiration, I decided to give up on trying to make him into a pixie, and decided to make him instead, into a spider.  It didn’t take long to figure out how I would make someone that was half-human, and half spider.   He was human from the belly button upwards, and below, his human half was attatched to a thorax of a spider (no spider head included), and it had an abdomen with spider legs.

He ended up being just too weird and interesting to pass up using.  And so my vampire was in love with… a 3 inch tall spider dude, now?  I loved it because it was such an odd idea.  Nami became just a character who would follow Xion around never to have her obsessed bitchlove returned.  The poor dear.  lol.

For some reason or other I developed a kind fo fetish for Ryoda though.  It was weird, and it didn’t make sense to me, even though I understood what sex was and fetishes were.  by fetish, I don’t mean I would fantasize about having sex with the darn thing.  He was my character, for petes sake.  And he was too small for that.  XD

No, I just developed an attraction to his body shape.  It was hot to me.  I never exactly enjoyed being someone with weird fetishes back then, and I was in denial about it.  Eventually I got bored with the story and started abandoning it. 

Then one day I went out in my grandma’s garden, and picked a rose like a sissy little girl.  That had to be the smartest thing I’d ever done.  I pricked my finger in like 400 different places before I realised using scissors to snip off the flower’s “head” was a better idea.  After I figured *this* out with my *smart* litte self…. XD I put the thing in my hair and skipped off to go be creative somewhere.  I spent the whole day with the rose in my hair, reaching up to toutch the petals for inspiration, whenever I’d lose my train of thought, or get off-topic in my pondering.

At the end of that day I took the rose out of my hair as I was climbing into bed, so I wouldn’t smush it by rolling over on it, or risk it falling out and getting lost in the covers.  I put it down on my besdiee table, and dont you know…;

The biggest, most f*cking hairiest, long leggedest, crawlingest BEAST I’d ever seen came gushing out of the rose at tope speed.  I screamed the loudest I think I’ve ever screamed in my life that night.  (And boy does that sentance not sound right.)

It scared teh holy sh*t out of me.  I was a worry-wart back then.  I truly beleived I was going to have a heart attack.  And die.  I sat there, and I waited to see if I was going to die.  All I did was loose the spider.  I never ended up finding the darn thing.  I suppose I’ll never know how long that spider had been in my hair.  Maybe it had been sleeping there ever since I picked the rose, and I just never notices.  Maybe someone mean put it there without me noticing.  Maybe it had been crawling all over me, and had made it’s way up into the rose, and been in my hair all day.  I really didn’t want to think about it.  It was then that I just stopped thinking about Ryoda.  I didn’t even want to think his name.  I hated spiders.

Disturbingly, recently, I’ve overcome this fear, and Ryoda, and other driders are one of my favorite things again.  Fetishes can be turned back and fourth from fear?  I guess so.  I didn’t choose to like spider-people it just happened.  Spiders still scare me though, but Spider-people don’t.  I like how their legs move, but when a plain old spider’s legs move, I just want to squish it and then hide somewhere covering my head.

Last week I was talking to my girlfriend about weird fetishes just like I’m prattling on about in this entry.  Haha.  We started talking about WG Expansion fans, and then suddenly the topic switched gears to starvers.  Starvers meaning people who fetishise anorexics.  Their turned on my starving people.

There are some cruel fetishes out there.  I learned to somehow ignore guilty feelings reading force-feeding type weight gain stories/comics.  Maybe it’s because I don’t read ones that describe the pains and problems that would come with being force fed in real life in teh manner in which they are portrayed as being fed in in the story or comic.  I don’t care to be told that the person is suffering from a sore throat.  WG really is a “guilty” pleasure.  I had a lot of trouble learning to ignore my sympatheitc side, to focus on the expansion part of the story, like I was told i was “supposed” to focus on.

I learned.  I’ve tried to understand people who have a fetish for whipping before, because an online friend had said he does, and feels bad for having a fetish like that.  I wanted to try and understand it more, but I can’t watch someone get whipped without cringing easily.

Me and my girlfriend were sitting there trying to just fathom… how someone could possibly fetishize starvation.  Maybe they asociate the feeling of hunger with the feeling of being aroused.  Two different kinds of desire, I’d guessed.  No matter how hard we tried to figure it out, we couldn’t comfortably accept the idea.   This is what I originally wanted to talk about when I started typing an hour or two ago.  XD

We couldn’t imagine… being able to think that was hot.  When I look at an anorexic or starving person, I just feel bad for them.  I just want to take them out of the picture I’m looking at, and hold them in my arms, and give them seomething to eat, and just help them.  It seems so horrible.  A bony body like that is horrifying for me to look at.  I just don’t see it.  I don’t… want to see how that can be arousing to someone…  that’s just suffering.

Expansion comic victums can lose the weight.  lol.  But seriously…  the thought of being so dangerously thin scares me.  I don’t think i could ever do that to myself, and I don’t want to think of what it would be like to be starved to that point of bone-thin-ness.  When I get a job, I plan to donate a decent amount to feeding some kind of starving people somewhere.  It’s just horrible.

No matter how much my emotions want to lead me to beleive anyone who fetishises starvation is just a sick, cruel sadistic person with no heart, I hate being ignorant.  Maybe they’re just incredibly good at ignoring their sympathetic side, when horney.  I don’t understand it, or agree with it, but If I ever met someone who fetishised starving people, I’d try my best to at least not let it bother me.  If possible…

I don’t like the idea of there being a kind of person that doesn’t deserve my hate being looked at with discust by me.  I just don’t understand how someone could look at a starving person that way, without feeling sorry for them, and instead getting hot over it.  I don’t think I’m capable of such a thing.  But maybe the people who fetishize twiggies aren’t as horrible as I make them out to be.  I hope so…  I wonder if one will read this blog, and feel bad about themselves or soemthing.  Now I feel bad about that too.  I hate having emotions sometimes.

Heh there is one thing I find utterly hilarious about the idea that people get horney over starving people.

Me and my girlfriend whilst talking about it, came up with this joke scenerio, that two gay guys on the absolute opposite side of the earth with our names spelled backwards were trying to figure out how we could like fat people.  They’d be these total perverts lol.  And they’d have all the same inside jokes we have related to expansion topics, only inverted.  She said in a really exadurated “gay guy” voice;

“Every once and a while at night Elleinad (Danielle backwards) will call his boyfriend on the phone and be like ‘ hay baybee.  Oohhh let’s *NOT* eat dinner tonight…”  and they’d both burst into this perverted laughter on the phone.  XD That’s basically like one of our stupid jokes backwards.

….lol.

So, anyhow, I wonder if I could have a nose-bump fetish, if I tried to get myself to have one…

Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D é mais um excelente jogo de corrida disponível na App Store. Corra para vencer com nosso adorado Crash ou com outros personagens que você vai abrindo durante o jogo em diversas pistas fantásticas. Pegue “power-ups”, ataque seus inimigos, defenda-se e desvie dos obstáculos. É preciso pensar rápido nesse jogo.

Ao todo são 12 pistas, 6 veículos diferentes e 8 tipos de armas. São 4 modos de jogo: Quick Race (corrida rápida), Cup (campeonato), Story (campanha, fazendo as missões), Time Trial (corrida contra o tempo).

Os gráficos são muito acima da média e o som é excelente. A jogabilidade também é muito boa usando o acelerômetro. No começo pode parecer um pouco difícil, mas com o tempo o jogador pega o jeito. As pistas e carros vão sendo liberados conforme o jogador avança no jogo, de forma a tornar o jogo ainda mais divertido e empolgante.

Em alguns momentos de alta velocidade e com muitos carros juntos, o jogo fica um pouco lento (menos quadros por segundo) o que indica que ele utiliza o máximo possível da placa de vídeo do iPhone/iPod touch. Chega até a atrapalhar em alguns momentos tensos, mas no geral ele roda muito bem.

Este jogo é vendido pela bagatela de $5.99. É um preço justo pela qualidade e lazer que proporciona. Antigamente ele era vendido por $9.99, bem mais salgado.

This is on the PAL-PS2 version at least, this is how to do it:

1. On the Press Start screen, key in Square, O, Square, O on your controller. This is the Japanese Crash cheat. If you’ve done it right, you should hear a chiming noise.

2. Go to Explore the Park mode. You’ll be playing as Japanese Crash.

3. Go up to the teleport booth.

4. Go to select a race, when you selecct characters, switch to the normal skin. You should notice Crash has no pupils and has completely white eyes.

5. Quit the select screen. You’ll find Crash with white eyes.

You done it! Crash will have normal eyes if you stand still, but if you move, his pupils come back. Stand, white again. Just switch to another skin or quit the mode to fix it.

iPhone apps have been here for quite a while, and now many apps have entered the App Store, which is, by far, the best way to deliver mobile apps to a mobile device. But I, have been very disappointed in these apps. It’s a frustrating feeling I can’t describe. Well, for one, the games are good but nothing more that O.K., because of the controls used to maneuver the games(ex: to steer a car in a racing game tilt the iPhone in the desired direction). One game that has stood out of the crowd is Spore Origins. Really nice game that is pretty much one of the rare games that is worth the price. For now, my favorite app is Remote, which I use when I am really tired and on my bed unable to move, to connect to my iTunes library and listen to some soothing music or podcasts. Maybe it’s just me, but the hype before the app store was launched was just not worth the content the apps delivered. CTR jest ostatnią częścą serii Crash Bandicoot zrobioną przez jej ojców, Naughty Dog. I jak przystało na ostatni epizod, mogło pójść tylko bardzo dobrze. Formuła gry jest prościuteńka: na planszy spotyka się ośmiu szaleńców w gokartach (które różnią się statystykami) i przystępują do wyścigu z użyciem “śmiercionośnych” broni oraz wszelkiego rodzaju przeszkadzajek. Wygrywa ten, który… wygrywa wyścig. Oprócz standardowego ścigania się  z konsolą lub kumplem/kumpelą na kanapie  (z włączonymi konsolowymi przeciwnikami lub nie, w tym do czterech żywych graczy) mamy mistrzostwa, time triale, bitwę, gdzie od dwóch do czterech graczy wyjeżdża na arenę z której zjechać żywy może tylko jeden, oraz tryb story. Właśnie tutaj powinien skierować swoje pierwsze kroki samotny posiadacz konsoli. Jeżdżąc po części wyspy mamy za zadanie wygrać wszystkie dostępne wyścigi, do których wchodzi się przez porozmieszczane tu i ówdzie portale, by na koniec zmierzyć się z bossem, który w przeciwieństwie do zwykłych przeciwników, dysponuje przez cały czas nieograniczoną liczbą specyficznej dla siebie broni. I tak kilka razy, aż trafi się na głównego kosmicznego mistrza wyścigów, któremu trzeba skopać rurę wydechową by odczepił się od Ziemi.

Jak widzicie, formuła gry nie wygląda jakoś specjalnie zachęcająco i oryginalnie. Coś jednak w niej być musi, skoro mimo tylu lat od premiery wyścigi Crasha i jego znajomych były pierwszą grą kupioną przeze mnie w PlayStation Store. Wielkim plusem pozycji są trasy, które są na tyle różnorodne, że na żadnych dwóch nie znajdziemy tak samo wyglądającego zakrętu. Jasne, przecież to zwykła arkejdówka i tu wcale nie trzeba być mistrzem pada i przejmować się osiągami silnika karta swojej postaci, bo każdym z każdym wygrać można. Liczą się jednak umiejętności, to one oddzielają mężczyzn i kobiety od dzieci. Wystarczy jeden przejazd ze znajomym, który Potrafi (przez duże P) grać w CTR, a adrenaliny poczujecie tyle, jakbyście dopiero co uciekli spod kół rozpędzonego samochodu. Idealne wymierzanie skoków, znajomość skrótów i używanie broni w odpowiednim momencie czynią z gry niezłe wyzwanie, a potyczki ze znajomymi robią się mega emocjonujące. Przyjacielskie obrzucanie się mięsem (szczególnie, gdy ktoś dostanie w tyłek rakietą zaraz przed metą) included.

Warstwa dźwiękowa? Pominę, to tylko zwykłe crashowe nuty i jakieś plumkania, wybuchy, od czasu do czasu wyśmianie przeciwnika, czy rzucenie mu jakiegoś tekstu po wyprzedzeniu. Ogólnie poziom serii zachowany. Podobnie jest z grafiką z grafiką, może postaci wyglądają deczko gorzej niż w Crash 3: Warped, ale i tak są duże i kolorowe, tak samo jak tory. Niby to era pierwszego Plejaka, ale spokojnie można grę odpalić na dużym lcd i bez obawy o oczy bawić się długimi godzinami.

Crash Team Racing jest, był i prawdopodobnie będzie najgenialniejszą grą kartową ze wszystkich. Mario Kart? Proszę, z czym do ludzi. No ale tak, są jeszcze dwie nowe części. Crash Nitro Kart, to niestety dno i pare kilometrów mułu, a Crash Tag Team Racing, wykorzystującego pomysł ściagania się w dwójkę z MK: Double Dash! nie sprawdzałem. Co prawda gra zbierała lepsze recenzje od CNK, ale jakoś nie mam ochoty w nią grać. Aha, jest jeszcze coś, co można uznać za duchowego spadkobiercę CTRa – Jak X, przewypasione wyścigi w świecie Jaka i Daxtera. Warto mieć w swojej kolekcji.

I to by było na tyle. Wiem, bardzo krótko, ale cóż, w jedną z ulubionych gier wolę grać niż o niej pisać. Tekst dedykuję tej jednej, jedynej osobie z którą mogę stoczyć w CTR zaciętą walkę  po której uszy więdną. Reszta to zbyt duże lamy dla naszej dwójki

 Das nächste Programm ist wieder ein Spiel und heißt Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D  abgekürtzt Crash Kart! Es handelt sich um ein Kart Rennspiel für 7,99€! Es gibt  verschiedene Modi in denen man fahren kann: Tutorial, Cup, Story und Zeitrennen.  (Bild 1) Das Tutorial ist eine Anleitung in der erklärt wird wie man lenkt  (Bewegungssensor) oder driftet. (Bild 6) Beim Cup fährt man vier Rennen in Folge  gegen fünf Gegner. In diesem Modus gibt es auf der Strecke verteilt verschiedene Power-Ups mit denen man die Gegner ärgern kann! Es gibt drei Cups mit je vier Strecken.
Im Story Modus muss man acht Missionen erfüllen vie z.B. mehr Wumpas (Äpfel) zu sammeln als der Gegner! Im Zeitfahr-Modus kann man auf einer beliebigen, freigeschalteten Strecke fahren. Der bisherige Streckenrekord ist als ein mitfahrender Schatten sichtbar! (Bild 4)
Es gibt bei Crash Kart auch eine ausführliche Bestenliste! (Bild 8!)
In diesem Spiel ist die Grafik von Strecke zu Strecke sehr wechselhaft: Mal auf Playstation Niveau mal etwas ruckelig aber im großen und ganzen ist das Spiel mehr als OK! 7,99€ sind angemessen wenn man bedenkt das man im Fußball-Stadion fürs gleiche Geld gerade mal zwei Bier kriegt! Und beim Bier kann man nicht die Empfindlichkeit des Bewegungssensors einstellen!

Crash Bandicoot is a very cool game. You play as Crash, a marsupial, who has to rescue his girlfriend from the evil clutches of Dr. Neo Cortex and his gang. There are great graphics, audio, lots of objects to collcet, plenty of secrets and challenges, and great character design. The bad news is that it’s not totally 3d and it has some frustrating moments.
