According to Easypeasy’s wiki ;

” easypeasy is an operating system optimized for netbooks. It favors the best software available by delivering Firefox with Flash and Java, Skype, Google Picasa, Banshee, codecs (ie. mp3) etc. out of the box. easypeasy 1.5 is our latest stable release and was released September 7th, 2009.”
According to me it’s a really easypeasy operating system to use that does everything from the first time you boot it up. The Wireless connection is ready for you, the Function Keys work (most of them, I couldn’t actually switch off the wireless). Out on the internet and Flash websites work, MP3’s play it all “just works”.

Of course it’s not actually FREE as in FREEDOM but if you can live with that and need to be up and running on your eeePC fast it’s definitely worth a look.

Se acaba de liberar una nueva versión de Banshee, la 1.5.2. Se trata de una versión centrada en la corrección de bugs, aunque no por ello libre de nuevas funciones, como por ejemplo, la herramienta para importar del iTunes, mejoras en la edición de los tags y soporte para nuevos dispositivos.

Arrivano numerose notevoli novità per quanto riguarda l’Ubuntu Music Store. L’implementazione avverrà in maniera similare a quanto accade per l’iTunes Store in iTunes e 7Digital in songbird. In pratica si integrerebbe un mini-browser nel player (per ora si parla del predefinito, Banshee o Rhythmbox, ma in seguito probabilmente anche altri) che aprirebbe la pagina dello store. Sarebbe quindi possibile sfogliare l’intero catalogo e scegliere i brani da acquistare, che verrebbero scaricati nella cartella ~/Musica e aggiunte alla libreria del player.
L’identificazione avverebbe attraverso le credenziali del servizio Ubuntu One, dopodiché sarebbe gestito tutto dal partner di canonical, relegando quindi la società inglese a ruolo di semplice intermediario. Le informazioni sugli acquisti e sui pagamenti non sarebbero comunque registrate da questa.
Tramite lo stesso ubuntu one sarebbe possibile anche trasferire i brani senza protezioni tra un proprio computer a un altro.
Il partner non è ancora stato definito, ma rumors dei blog del settore starebbero indicando come più probabile candidato proprio 7digital, che annovera nel proprio catalogo online numerosissimi brani DRM-free di etichette importanti come EMI, Universal, Warner, Sony, e di artisti e gruppi conosciuti, anche attraverso accordi diretti con gli interessati.

I upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic, and so far I have been impressed with the latest release. There have however been a few minor annoyances which I have been able to work around, details of which are here:

1. iPods don’t automount correctly:

   The problem seems to be caused by podsleuth not working correctly since the move from HAL to DeviceKit. I used the advice in comment 20 from this bug report https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=495240#c20. It’s a simple fix; turn off automounting and just mount the iPod manually. I added a Disk Mounter to my panel so I can do this with one click.

2. Rhythmbox doesn’t recognise new podcasts via the RSS feed:

   If you subscribe to podcasts you will notice that you don’t get any new entries! I switched to using Banshee, and I’m quite pleased that I did as the whole experience is in my opinion superior. I particularly like the iTunes style graphic showing the status of my iPod:

   
   I also prefer the way that podcasts are managed. The ability to mark items as ‘new’ or ‘old’ means I can easily filter out the archive of podcasts from a particular feed without needing to remove them altogether.

3. Button clicks in eclipse don’t work correctly:

   I am using Rational Software Architect (based on eclipse 3.4.2) and there is a bug [in eclipse] that is exposed by changes to GTK+. This has been fixed in eclipse 3.5.2, but the workaround for the time being is to set an environment variable which will switch back to the previous behaviour.  Simply set GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1 before launching eclipse.

The wig advertisement on a website cuaght my attention, and it read: “Wigs made from 100% hand tied human hair, grown, and harvested from reliable and youthful donors.”
An eerie sense crawls up my spine. But I ordered one anyway, and it came in a beautiful golden box, to my delight. Excitedly, I positioned the wig on my head and applied red lipstick on, while Mudd my pet dachshund curiously spies from under the bed. Appreciating my reflection in the mirror, I somehow lost track of time, have fallen into a deep slumber and dreamed…

The pale moon peeks at the seams of dark foreboding clouds. My long red hair flowing in the wind. Clad in a bloodstained sheer white lingerie, running barefoot after Mudd across the field. Mudd is running farther away, streaked with blood stains.

I ended before a big arch wooden door and knocked frantically, calling out for my father’s help. The door opens and I find Mudd next to him. Breathlessly I asked, “Father, what’s wrong with Mudd?” Mystifyingly I hear his mind speak, “It’s not blood, it’s ink.”

Io vorrei sapere cosa cazzo sta facendo banshee-1 da un ora a questa parte.

Mi consuma il 100% di CPU e non mi spara un cazzo di errore. Nessun log nessun output .

E poi dicono che di MONO bisogna fidarsi che è il futuro. Io ora l’ammazzo quella merda di applicazione e torno al buon vecchio rhythmbox e fanculo all’innovazione.

Ecceccazzo.

L’UDS di Lucid non c’è ancora stato, e le features di questa versione non sono ancora note, salvo qualche indiscrezione che ho riportato nel post sulla roadmap di lucid. Tra queste una fa già discutere gli ubuntiani: banshee dovrebbe sostituire rhythmbox nella 10.04.
Con questo post non voglio entrare nello specifico della guerra contro mono che ha già infiammato tanto animi e fatto scorrere fiumi d’inchiostro, quanto piuttosto illustrare perché a mio parere questa sostituzione sia condivisibile.

La storia dell’inclusione di banshee in ubuntu risale a karmic, quando fu valutato se fare o meno il cambio: dopo un’attenta analisi si decise di posticipare la scelta, in quanto il programma mancava ancora di diverse caratteristiche importanti come la riproduzione gapless (possibilità di riprodurre due o più brani senza pause fra essi).
La situazione da allora è però cambiata: la nuova versione 1.5 porta in dote diverse novità e miglioramenti. Ora il programma è ottimizzato in modo da consumare meno.
Rispetto a rhythmbox è attivamente sviluppato e vengono inserite continuamente nuove features. Supporta poi l’inserimento dei video nei lettori multimediali che lo supportano e viaggia con un ottimo equalizzatore di default. Può importare le impostazioni da rhythmbox e altri player e supporta il BPM.
Tra le altre feautures possiamo citare le locazioni separate delle cartelle predefinite a seconda del tipo di file, varie modalità di shuffle, Scoring automatico, …
Di contro, ha ancora qualche particolare che andrebbe risolto prima dell’inclusione: la cosa più ecclatante è che ancora non supporta il gapless (che dovrebbe però arrivare con la 1.6), e tra le altre cose non ha, ad esempio, un’interfaccia GNOME-compliant e non supporta i negozi multimediali come jamendo e magnatune.

IMHO, per le considerazioni appena fatte, non gli manca quasi niente per sostituire rhythmbox, implementandone praticamente tutte le funzinalità (tranne quelle elencate), ed essendo in più un software fresco e sotto sviluppo intensivo. Voi cosa ne pensate? Votate nel sondaggio:

Today I was drawing the X-Men and I was looking at back issues for inspiration.   I kept returning to the issues drawn by the late great master Dave Cockrum. There’s just something fascinating about his linework!  I couldn’t ask for a better artist to emulate. The whole gang is here in this classic look at the X-Men. Now that I think about it, I think my favorite X-Men from this era are the top three in this image.

Avengers Assemble! Well, at least three of them took the time to show up. Hawkeye, Goliath and Black Widow look positively dynamic in this piece. I’m not keen on the random shape behind them, but I’m sure Dave had his reasons.

Once upon a time, Mantis and the Swordsman were newlyweds! Now Mantis is green (Does anyone know how that came about?) and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Swordsman is no longer among the living. There’s that distracting shape in the background again. Grrr.

The Vision and Captain America arrive late to my Avengers Assemble call. Better late than never as they say. I’m loving how haunted the Vision looks and Cap’s expression is priceless.  I think the circle works better here than the amputated triangles shown in the two images above.

It’s a Knight! Of horses? Or maybe he’s the Rook! Could he be the Rook Knight? Does he have special chess powers? I don’t know. However, I really love the design of this character from his winged helmet to his science fiction boots. Cockrum knew how to design a costume, sometimes merging seemingly disparate elements into a cohesive whole!

Cockrum’s creation, the amazing Nightcrawler, is having a bit of a hard time in this last image.   Dave obviously had a great sense of humor.  The inclusion of the vulture is simply too funny!

OSD Lyrics è un nuovo progetto in launchpad che permette la visualizzazione del testo della canzone ascoltata direttamente nella scrivania, una specie di karaoke che fa scorrere il testo man mano che il brano musicale viene eseguito

Per l’installazione basta aggiungere i repository launchpad del progetto, quindi eseguiamo in un terminale il comando:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

(su kubuntu sostituite gedit con kate) e nella finestra di testo che si apre aggiungiamo alla fine i repository:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/osd-lyrics/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/osd-lyrics/ppa/ubuntu karmic main

salvate il documento e sempre al terminale aggiungiamo la key pgp per l’accesso:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:osd-lyrics/ppa

lasciamo lavorare il terminale e una volta importata la chiave aggiorniamo il sistema e installiamo il programma:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install osdlyrics

quando ha finito il terminale chiudiamolo.

Il programma si trova su Applicazioni>>Audio e Video e una volta lanciato si posiziona sulla  tray ed è possibile configurarlo in vari modi. Per il momento dispone di due motori di ricerca canzoni(sogou e quianquian) ma altri ne verranno implementati nel futuro e supporta i seguenty player:

Banshee es un ser legendario, nacido del folklore irlandés y escocés (también aparece en el folklore bretón). Sus aullidos, según la leyenda, anunciarían una muerte próxima en la familia de aquel que los oye. Banshee es un término inglés derivado del gaélico “Bean Si” (Irlanda) o “Bean Sith” (Escocia) y significa “mujer del Sidhe”. Sidhe designa un cerro o una colina muy afamada de ser la morada de las hadas. Por ello, también se les denomina a estos seres “Bean Sidhe”.

Según narra la leyenda, las Banshee puede presentar varias apariencias. Así, las encontramos bajo la forma de una bella muchacha con la cara llena de lágrimas o, al contrario, bajo la forma de una vieja mujer horrorosa de los cabellos largos, vestida con un vestido verde y con un abrigo gris. Puede también aparecerse bajo la forma de una corneja, de una petirroja o de un reyezuelo.

El grito de las Banshee es el más horrible que uno pueda imaginarse. Es a la vez aullido del lobo, gritos de auxilio de un niño abandonado y gritos de un ganso salvaje. Los que lo han oído, afirman que este grito despertaría a cualquiera que durmiera en un sueño profundo y que sería perfectamente audible en medio de una violenta tempestad.

El aspecto más fuerte de las Banshee, es su don de profecía. Estos seres poseen un espíritu de profecía y de adivinación les permite saber eso que ninguno queremos escuchar, o que tanto tememon. Ellas tienen el don de predecir la muerte y lo anuncian a través de su grito. El que lo escucha sabe que la muerte está cerca, sea para él, sea para algun familiar o amigo cercano. Quizás por esto, las Banshee han adquirido a lo largo de la historia esa mala reputación que las acompaña.

Cuando una Banshee emite este grito, el que lo oye sabe que un miembro de su familia murió o está a punto de morir. La leyenda cuenta que en ocasiones más de una Banshee se ha reunido para aullar al unísono. Este grito unánime servía para anunciar una próxima gran catástrofe o una defunción de una persona muy importante.

También ha habido apariciones de Banshees cerca de un río y se las ve lamentándose lavando la mortaja del futuro fallecido

La banshee más famosa de la antigüedad se llamaba Aibhill, y rondaba a la familia real de los O’Brien. Según cuenta la leyenda, el anciano rey Brian Boru partió hacia la batalla de Clontarf en 1014 sabiendo que no sobreviviría, pues Aibhill se le había presentado la noche anterior, lavando la ropa de los soldados hasta que toda el agua se hubo vuelto roja de sangre.

Shinigami

Un shinigami (Dios de la muerte) es una personificación de la muerte en la mitología japonesa.

Los shinigamis son el equivalente japonés a las Valkirias o La Muerte en occidente. Según la mitología su función es velar y decidir quien muere y cómo, a veces hasta alimentándose de las almas humanas. Existe un gran misticismo alrededor de esta figura ,ya que no se puede delimitar si es buena o mala, aunque – en las narraciones – muchas veces sus decisiones parecen cruentas y horribles.Pero a pesar de que las distintas religiones que les han dando un carácter demoníaco, su carácter es más neutral. Pertenecen a la casta baja de los dioses. Hay relatos que cuentan que estos dioses ayudaron a los humanos a cumplir ciertas tareas, y se dice que los shinigamis custodian la entrada a los dos Mundos en un plano que se podría denominar el Ethero.

Leprechaun

En la mitología irlandesa, un leprechaun es una clase de hada masculina; se dice que habita en la isla de Irlanda. Forman parte del folklore de la zona, asociado al Tuatha Dé Danann y a otras razas antiguas. Las leyendas populares relatan que estas criaturas habitaban Irlanda antes de la llegada de los celtas.

Los leprechauns y otras criaturas de la mitología irlandesa son asociadas con “fortalezas de hadas” o “hadas sonoras”. Se afirma que prefieren observar el mundo desde sitios elevados, como los cerros.

A veces adquieren el aspecto de ancianos a quienes les gusta realizar travesuras. Suelen ser zapateros muy ricos, porque guardan tesoros enterrados desde los tiempos de la guerra.

Cuenta la leyenda que, si cualquier persona mantiene la vista fija en uno de estos seres, él no podrá escaparse. Pero en el momento en que el observador pestañee o mire hacia otro lado, el leprechaun desaparecerá de inmediato.

Existen diferentes hipótesis acerca de la etimología de la palabra leprechaun. Una de las teorías más extensamente aceptadas es que el nombre proviene de la palabra gaélica irlandesa leipreachán, definido por Dinneen como pigmeo o hada. Pigmeo, por su parte,

quiere decir “mitad del cuerpo” o “cuerpo pequeño”. Ésta es la etimología ofrecida por el diccionario inglés Collins.

Una versión alternativa del origen, propuesta por el diccionario Oxford, es zapatero. El leprechaun se conoce por ser el zapatero de hadas de Irlanda, y es a menudo retratado con un solo zapato.

Otra derivación de la palabra “leprechaun” es luch-chromain, que significa “Lugh inclinado”, donde Lugh es el nombre propio de un líder de la antigua raza Tuatha Dé Danann.

El vocablo leprechaun fue registrado por primera vez en lengua inglesa en 1604 por Middleton y Dekker´s. Algunas pronunciaciones históricas del término son leprechawn, lepracaun y lubberkin. La variante leprehaun también se ha utilizado.

Yama-uma

Yama-uba parece una vieja mujer, generalmente horrible. Su pelo es blanco largo y de oro, y su kimono (generalmente rojo) es asqueroso y hecho andrajos. Se dice que a veces,su boca, cubre la anchura entera de su cara(similar que Kuchisake-onna ), y algunas pinturas le dan una segunda boca en la tapa de su cabeza. Ella puede cambiar su aspecto, y utiliza esta táctica para el éxito de capturar a sus víctimas.

Yama-uba habita los bosques profundos de las montañas de Japón, incluyendo Sabana (donde suponen que una vez vivió en la base del Monte Nabekura), la región de Tōhoku y las montañas de Ashigara. La mayoría de las historias dicen que ella vive en una choza. Yama-uba caza a los viajeros que se pierden en sus bosques.Sus tácticas exactas varían de historia a historia. A veces, ella cambia su aspecto al de una mujer hermosa o a la persona amada de alguna de sus víctimas.

A pesar de su naturaleza rapaz, Yama-uba tiene un lado benévolo. Por ejemplo, ella crió al héroe huérfano Kintaro, que hizo el guerrero famoso Sakata No Kintoki, una relación que forma la base para el drama Yama-uba del noh. En esta historia, Yama-uba se retrata como madre cariñosa, que ha influenciado más cuentos modernos. Algunos incluso le hacen una representación de amor. Otros historiadores dicen que ella es solo un alma solitaria que se halla en armonía con la naturaleza.

Banshee kann die meisten Medienformate abspielen, beispielsweise OGG Vorbis, MP3, FLAC, M4P. Wenn man beispielsweise Podcasts abonniert hat, so werden diese oft im OGG oder M4P Format ausgeliefert. Der Grund ist einfach, diese Formate  verbrauchen weniger Platz und Bandbreite als MP3. Das ist auch kein Problem, werden diese Dateien klaglos abgespielt. Ggf. muss noch der richtige Codec installiert werden.

Was macht man allerdings, wenn der portable Player nur MP3 aber kein FLAC, M4P oder OGG unterstützt? Nun gut, man könnte manuell encoden, zumindest unter Windows werden ja entsprechende Programme mit dem Player geliefert.

Banshee kann das aber besser, es erkennt automatisch den eingesteckten Medienplayer, die unterstützten Formate und kann diesen automatisch oder manuell verwalten.

Beim automatischem Verwalten wird die komplette Medienbibliothek abgeglichen, beim manuellen muss man selber Medien oder Podcasts per Drag-and-Drop kopieren.

Beim Kopieren per Drag-and-Drop auf den Medienplayer wird netterweise automatisch konvertiert.

Welches Format benutzt werden soll, kann in den Eigenschaften des Medienplayers (rechte Maustaste) eingestellt werden.

Wenn der portable Player nicht richtig erkannt wird, kann in dessen Root-Verzeichnis die Datei .is_audio_player anlegen. Diese kann beispielsweise folgenden Inhalt haben:

audio_folders=Music/folder_depth=2output_formats=audio/,audio/mp3,audio/x-aac,application/ogg

Damit kann man auch USB-Sticks oder MMC/SD-Karten (beispielsweise für Autoradios) synchronisieren. Falls trotz korrekter Einstellungen ein Format nicht zur Verfügung steht, sollte man überprüfen, ob die Codecs korrekt installiert sind. Das kann im mit Terminal mit folgenden Befehl für MP3 geschehen:

gst-inspect lame

Falls keine Ausgabe erscheint, noch installieren:

sudo apt-get install lame gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse

Voraussetzung ist natürlich, dass man im Besitz der Lizenzen ist.

The Banshee team announced the release of version 1.5.1 of the popular music player/manager yesterday morning and this ‘point’ release sees lots of improvements and a few new features, too.

The main noted features are a new shuffle feature that lets you shuffle by artist, album, rating, score etc and a new ‘Auto DJ’ that keeps your play queue topped up with music. This mode also utilises the new shuffle feature and allows you to add queue items by artists, album, score, etc.

Support for syncing with more devices is added – including those running webOS (Palm Pre) and Android (G1, Galaxy, etc)

There were over 130 bugs fixed and 20 other enhancements added since 1.5.0.

Se acaba de publicar una nueva versión estable del reproductor de música Banshee. Se trata de la versión 1.5.1 y se además de nuevas características se corrigen 131 bugs desde la versión anterior, la 1.4.3. En estos momentos, Banshee lo considero el mejor reproductor de música para Gnome y una de las mejores opciones para KDE. No digo la mejor porque en KDE está Amarok y es dificil competir contra este programa. Desde la 1.4.3 se han añadido las siguientes novedades:

• New Shuffle Modes: Ahora se puede indicar a Banshee que avance las canciones según el autor, el album, la puntuación…

• Auto DJ: Es una función que permite que Banshee siga reproduciendo según tus criterios (no se si traduje bien del ingles )
• Añanido soporte al Samsung Galaxy Android Phone y en general se ha mejorado el soporte de todos los reproductores Ipod.
• Rhythmbox Migrator: Permite importar la colección de música de Rhythmbox.
• Beats Per Minute (BPM): Traducido al español, sería algo parecido a pulsos por mintuo. Banshee puede detectar los pulsos por minuto y de este modo organizar la música mejor. Después puedes crear listas de reproducción inteligentes basadas en este dato.

Is this your first novel?  If not, how has writing this novel different from writing your first?

Yes, THE PERUKE MAKER – The Salem Witch Hunt Curse, is my first published book written as a screenplay.

It was my initial intention and still is, that it becomes a Halloween blockbuster  movie.

In the meantime to generate a buzz, I opted for self-publishing for immediate distribution to the e-world.

It didn’t take me long to discover Outskirts Press via internet and then submitted my manuscript for their consideration and acceptance.

And now my book is available in 25,000 internet stores around the world.

How difficult was it writing your book?  Did you ever experience writer’s block and, if so, what did you do?

It took me 1 year of dreaming about it, 1 year of research work, 4 weeks to put down into written words, and another 2 years to crystallize the story.

Submitted it to Lejen Literary Consultant – Lee Levinson for a script coverage analysis and after 2 months received it back with a good review.

Thereafter, it took Outskirts Press approximately 2 weeks to review and accept.

When experiencing a mental block, I simply laid everything to rest and went to sleep.

How have your fans embraced your latest novel?  Do you have any funny or unusual experiences to share?

My fans are really interested in the history of the story and so I tell them how it came to be.

Driven by a mystical dream I had after trying on a 100% hand-tied human hair wig that I purchased online in 2004, described to be harvested from a reliable and youthful donor.

I woke-up from the dream in shivers, seemingly reliving a dark history of a young woman’s horrifying fate named Bridget and her father’s (The Peruke Maker) vindictive quest for justice beyond the grave.

Eerily, I believed that in Salem, Massachusettes from three centuries ago, the Peruke Maker’s Shop lay hidden behind a forgotten and abandoned room of an old crematorium built-up with dust and cobwebs with a finished white wig still sits by the boarded up window to this day.

Wefts of yak, goat, horse and human hair, fishhook-like needles, pomade, powder and a wooden head are laid down on a work table wherein a pair of rusty scissors, entwined with strands of Bridget’s red hair eerily rests by the wall mirror.

So, I have decided to travel to Salem, Massachusettes on a book tour this October 2009 and  investigate the existence of the Peruke Maker’s Shop, and to retrace the agonizing ordeal of his daughter, Bridget in Gallows Hill.

I asked my fans to join me in a blood-curdling Halloween experience!

What is your daily writing routine?

An inspiration has no routine, it hauntingly drives you until you’re done.

When you put the pen or mouse down, what do you do to relax?

Findings suggest that we sleep because our mind is tired. So, sleep to me has been a way to relax and wake-up refresh.

What book changed your life?

“THE PERUKE MAKER – The Salem Witch Hunt Curse” was a pivotal point in my life where a curse trilogy was hatched. So, it was followed by the published book “Romancing The Claddagh – The Curse of Macha,” and a third in the works titled, “The Red Dragon’s Triangle – Boudicca’s Curse.”

If someone were to write a book on your life, what would the title be?

“That’s Me OnThe Red Carpet!”

Finish this sentence: “The one thing that I wish people would understand about me is…”

I just want a bigger stage!

Astonishing X-Men #31 hit last week and it is made of awesome! You can tell by the art of Phil Jimenez that he is a huge Storm fan! He’s simplified the Simone Bianchi costume while still honoring it.  I’m not sure that I really like Storm in white.  I think it washes her out since her hair is the same color as her costume but I can handle it since those awful black lines at her crotch are gone.  I’m also not missing those clunky double boots.  It’s great to see her back in her original thigh boots.  Warren Ellis writes a commanding and capable Storm and gets her into the action right off the bat!  I continue to enjoy his characterization of everyone else in this book as well.  Hands down, this is currently my favorite X-Title!  However, X-Babies #1 was also an immensely enjoyable read and definitely worth checking out!  And I would be remiss if I didn’t reference the amazing spot on characterization in Jeff Parker’s  X-Men Vs. Agents of Atlas #1.  That mini is superheroes done right!  Too bad it is only two issues!

Upcoming artwork from Uncanny X-Men: First Class #5 by Roger Cruz.  Old school fun with today’s flair.  I wish this wasn’t a mini-series.  I totally miss Banshee in current continuity.  Jean too.

Lush lines by Terry Dodson from Uncanny X-Men #505.  The interaction between Ororo and Emma is one of the most interesting aspects of the X-Men franchise these days and we don’t get nearly enough of it  I chose three pages to illustrate my fascination with these two queens.  

Terry Dodson’s versions of Storm and Emma are among my all time favorites.  He gives both women a solid sense of strength and elegance. 

All of those White Queen costumes are to die for.  And for some reason, this page has me recanting my earlier opinion about Storm dressing in white.  I’m totally loving it here.  

It’s rare to meet a real Rock Star in person, let alone get to know them as a friend. However, I have a friend and he is a Rock Star. A MINI Motoring Advisor by day and bonafide Rock Star by night Aaron Mumma is truly a one of a kind talent. He has played for such high profile bands like Tesla, ELO, RATT and Poison.  As drummer for The Black Mollys, Aaron has opened for Aerosmith and Motley Crue!

Aaron works for Baron MINI as a Motoring Advisor and is married with 3 lovely children. He now plays with Lawrence Bishop II and the Livestock Band. Lawrence Bishop II fronts a Christian Rock Band that after viewing several clips on YouTube, (provided here) blew my pre-conceived notion of what Christian Rock was, let alone what it sounded like.

Lawrence Bishop II has a story to tell and it is through his music his message is delivered. On October 9, 2009, Lawrence Bishop II and the Livestock Band will perform Live from Hutchins State Prison in Texas; a show that will be broadcast live via Webcast on Pro-claim.tv October 9th at 6:30pm then re-broadcast across the globe on a future date to 100 countries on TBN (channel 291 | Comcast)!
