I am very excited about an email I just received. It is from one of the evolutionary leaders involved in Barbara Marx Hubbard’s  “The Shift & Birth 2012 & Beyond” course I am taking. This person presented how important AND powerful it is to simply tell our own story and “get it out there” — to mix with others in the whole wide world and place ourselves here at this time in this place as part of our purpose and passion.

She was backing Barbara’s insistence to unite our personal story with the whole grand and sacred story of the 14.5 billion year old story of creation, appreciate the grandness of our own true essence and recognize and then live our story of purpose and intentionality for the good of all.

Here were two important leaders talking about the POWER of personal story — on the call in session, I could not refrain,  from telling a bit of my experience with encouraging and helping people write their stories for I know a few things about this and I am PASSIONATE about the purpose of telling story.

That was what happened in my workshops of the 1990s, entitled “Write NOW!  The real purpose of these workshops was not to “make” someone “into” a writer, but to have a person experience the feeling of automatic writing coming from their heart. I guided the class with theme, poetry, movement, sharing, and above all “quiet time” and then the writing proceeded.

Over the course of several years, this always produced amazing and personal results for the participants — something very meaningful for them to take home with them; either a new commitment to employ writing in their life as a spiritual tool of self-revelation and guidance; the intent to add more quiet time to their life; a deeper love for the sense of who they were; a meaningful community sense, not only with others, but with the union of the divine within themselves, and a more likely possibility that they may continue to seek that out.

All of those things probably continued to happen in some form, not only on paper for them, but in their daily lives as they lived them and that was the important thing.

I’ve been busy forming some new workshops. I hope to find homes for them this fall as a central part of a purpose that has emerged as important in my life. Within the next week, I intend to start talking to those who might host them and also form small groups within my own home on a regular basis.

So, here is an inquiry to me that will unfold its possibility within the near future. Something new coming into being. Getting to this point has seemed to me to be a slow and gradual conscious partnership of study, prayer, journaling, and creative exploration with God and my inner voice and intuitive self.

I’ve made life covenants, and live according to them. I’ve created intention mandalas, which seem to keep me on a course where I feel my joy and excitement. And I continue to live life as it presents itself to me. Yet I am not really certain where all of this is heading. But two of the paths I remain on are the roads of Passion and Purpose. I live daily life, freely giving where I can the gifts of love, healing and the sense of Possibility, in a hectic world that would like to take any of us down lots of other roads.

Trusting God as my Source seems to be a simple but completely effective plan for living. It removes negative dependence and anxiety from my life, as I continue to affirm that God’s Provision is alive in my life. My job is to listen for how this provision comes and what is my part to do in it.

Teaching, in some way, has always been some part of this provision.And I’ve done it in a variety of ways all through my life.  I just reviewed a few of my materials and handouts for WriteNow! and the topic of possibility catches my attention.

I believe these words come from a Unity writing source but it talks about us knowing that we are allowed to “catch the bus”!

Chasing the bus may include clearing away the wreckage of our negative patterning (This is called Repatterning in our Shift Course), clarifying the vision of what it is we really want and are  (vocational arousal and Emergence are Hubbard’s  terms today for that) and learning to accept small pieces of that vision from whatever souce it identifies itself.

Then presto, one day, the vision seems to suddenly be in place.

In other words, run as fast as you can and pray to catch the bus! Be “causal” and put into action and bring forth that “which seems to want to be born through you into this world.” (again, more Shift course material.)

The key is, for any of this to happen, first of all, we must believe that we are allowed to catch the bus. We come to recognize that God is unlimited in supply and that everyone has equal access.

These expectations and patience have kept the possibility alive for me that I will once again serve people through some new WriteNow! programs and I am excited and grateful for that.

In his writings, his Holiness, the Dalai Lama says, “…taking care of the planet is nothing special, nothing sacred, and nothing holy. It is something like taking care of our own house. We have no other planet or house except this one…we have no alternative, we have to take care of this home.”

“After all, the human being is a social animal,” I tell my friends.

“They have no need to study philosophy, these professional , complicated subjects,” he continues.  “By simply looking at these innocent animals, insects, ants, bees, etc, quite often I develop some kind of respect for them. How? Because they have no religion, no constitution, no police force, nothing. But they live in harmony through the natural law of existence or nature’s law or system”

“We human beings, what is wrong with us? he ponders. “We have such intelligence and human wisdom …so often used in a wrong way or direction. As a result, in a way, we are doing certain actions which essentially go against basic human nature….”

He calls love and compassion a universal religion…”if we look closely at human nature, affection is the key to a good heart. I think the mother is a symbol of compassion. Everyone has a seed of good heart.”

“Science and technology, together with human compassion with be constructive. Under the control of hatred, it will be destructive.”

The Dalai Lama began this topic by telling his audience that they may have come there that evening with some expectations, but that essentially “I’ve nothing to offer you.” He said he simply wanted to share some of his own experiences and views.

He said that from a certain viewpoint, religion is a bit of a luxury. “If you have religion, very good; even without religion you can survive and manage, but without human affection, we can’t survive.”

There is a Global Coherence Initiative, which is a science-based, co-creative project to unite people in heart focused care and intention. It aims to facilitate the shift in global consciousness from instability and discord to balance, cooperation and increasing peace (www.glcoherence.org).

One of GCI’s roles is to provide education and technology for increasing heart coherence in individuals and teams.

Increasing heart coherence creates an alignment of body, emotions, mind and spirit that increases balance and effectiveness in individual groups and contributing to global coherence. This, in my opinion, is a technique needed to catch the attention and commitment of today’s leaders, powers of state and corporate and political structures. It is simple to learn, it may not be easy to effect the desire for change.

But just look at today’s world view –torn, fragmented by wars, unthinkable genicide of innocents, the hungry and homeless, the scarred Earth. Someone — somewhere– has to start doing something different from the way we’re doing it now. And I don’t think that boils down to the differing political parties.

I think it has more to do with the individual heart and mind consciousness that will rise up in bigger numbers than the individual alone and change whole systems in doing so — and there is no better place to start than in the heart.

We are studying and practicing the simple technique  of Heart Resonance in our Birth 2012 on-line course with Barbara Marx Hubbard.  The course also offers a glimpse of other styles of leadership, reaching group agreement, not by the battle of wills and egos, but by truthfully searching for the highest good of the individual, community, country or world. I don’t think these methods have much chance of success and use in the world unless we sincerely do the heart work first and are willing to commit to this for the good of humankind.

Can anyone watch the news these days and not have their heart tugged on a little bit or a lot. There’s too much that goes against nature going on in our world, and it would be a shift, indeed, if each human looked into their own heart and soul and discovered what it is that would be natural and in harmony (like the birds and the bees) for them to do — in big or little ways — that will increase the amount of goodness in the world on a daily basis.

The attitude of “I can’t do anything about it” is just not viable today in our world.

The technique of Heart Coherence was developed the Institute of Heart Math by Doc Childre. It is a simple, yet powerful technique to release stress, bring more coherence into your heart rhythms and build resilience. Once you’ve learned it, the technique only takes a minute to do and you can do it anywhere, anytime.

By the way, this is just not a “do-gooder” ideal. Simply by incorporating this as part of your life and prayer practice, the Institute has demonstrated by scientific tests, that you are creating goodness and health in your own body. Your own self-healing   powers (which many of us do not know we have; the birds and the bees know it!) will activate on many levels.

Physically, you may heal a wound, unblock a blockage, or intuitively know who you want to bring your treatment needs to; mentally, you may lighten up and find paths to uncomplicate complicated issues you wrestle with; spiritually, you will, for certain, develop a taste for this compassion that the Dalai Lama says is so necessary. And you will find a sense of connectness to others that most likely did not exist before.

I intend to bring Heart Resonance into my teaching workshops in the fall and spread its availability to learn in my little portion of this Earth.

This is science and technology with compassion and it works.  I can do my little part in nature to encourage harmony and love.  These qualities do need to be birthed into our world in ever increasing numbers. Our planet and its people are depending upon it.

In the beginning, sleep was all I really yearned for.  A good four hour stretch, and I might feel somewhat human the next day.  I might perhaps feel like the girl I’d always known myself to be: prepared and in control.  I wanted to feel my humanness–not necessarily an easy task for a new mom.

Ironically, though, it was the baby- the very one who was stealing my sleep- who woke me up to my full human being-ness.  This is how it happened: Life started to get hard.  It really sucked being sleep deprived.  Later when my daughter started getting recurring ear infections, I thought- I should be able to handle this.  I didn’t want to admit just how difficult it was for me!  This was not who I thought I was!  I felt ready when I arrived at motherhood, centered, and carrying with me an idea of how life was going to be.

That was the way I had lived- knowing what to expect.  (There’s a reason What to Expect When You’re Expecting is the iconic book it is, because our culture places value on what can be known, logically, linearly, rationally).  But life was introducing me to a new way, one that is creative, unknown, open and receptive.  Life was giving me what I needed in the form of hardship and challenge and it was inviting me to create my own version of motherhood.  I was being given the opportunity to define it for myself. To exchange the voice that says, “You should be able to handle this,” for one that says, “Surrender to what this moment is telling you.”

The impulses of creativity and evolving life are at work even in those moments when we want to pop some “Screwitol” pills.

Imagine this:  The moment we say SCREW IT ALL is the moment we are being pushed toward something utterly new.  Now that is not what we expected!

Barbara Marx Hubbard says, rather than wondering “What is wrong with me?” ask, “What wants to be born in me?”  Maybe it is a new belief or a new rhythm to your life.  Some thing wants to express!

It took a while for me to realize this, because in those dark moments, it’s so easy to just say Screwitol.  But as I began to cultivate a space within myself, and as I engaged in new conversation with wise women, I came to see that Life is always in support of me.  I’m no longer who I thought I was, the prepared and in control girl; out of the struggles emerged this new self- a woman open to the divine mystery of life flowing through her.  Now all I yearn for is to be awake, wide awake!

No matter if you are a working mom judging yourself when you hand your baby over each day, a stay-at-home mom criticizing yourself because this is NOT the way you envisioned it (wasn’t it going to be all muffin baking Tuesdays and craft-making Wednesdays?); we are all trying to find the balance between caring for our children and caring for ourselves.  Stop judging.  Stop criticizing. Start creating something new.  (It can be simple- create a new goodbye ritual, create a “mommy moment” in your schedule).  And this is so important- start having these conversations with other moms!  I invite you to start here in the comment section.

Well, it is time to check in with Jan Phillips, visionary creator, artist, speaker, and all around beautiful, SOULFUL WOMAN! I’ve been thinking of her since I am taking notes on Barbara Marx Hubbard’s  book, Birth 2012 and Beyond — the notes coming from the interview done by Jan in the first part of the book.

It seems Hubbard got stuck on what she wanted to say — and she has a lot to say — and then a visit from Jan created a SYNERGISTIC explosion which formed the first part of her book.

Well, who would have doubted that would happen, given the pioneering souls of these creative and thoughtful women! Not me.

So not only have I been thinking about Jan, but I got to feeling her presence, as I slipped her All the Way to Heaven CD into my player and gave myself over to the wonderful melodies and even more wondrous words other songs which create a great melodic, lyrical time-out meditation.

I am going to give you just a short sampling of the words to the songs on the CD. Keep in mind that some of these words she wrote some time ago were not ideas collectively agreed upon as you might find today…….I see them in the evolutionary path of forming our reality, for much of this is being spoken about now.

Jan says the reason for making the CD is because “the joy is in the sharing.” Because this is what we do as creators.We shape our thoughts and experiences into forms that can be of use.

And she travels world-wide, and even inspires already inspired leaders and visionaries like Hubbard with her Truth that these creative endeavors are only useful when we put them out into the world.

For days, I have been pulling at the story-telling ball of yarn, searching for a thread to start a tiny story. It seems I have a varigated ball of yarn and the threads switch topics all over the place.

This is happening to me as I immerse myself in the study of and the experience of the twelve week course of Barbara Marx Hubbard’s Agents of Conscious Evolution. Her goal is to “grow” or “evolve” many thousands of us to a world-view of existing in the world as a resonating vibration of creativity that will positively affect our lives and our planet for good.

There, I’ve come up with one of the “first things first.” Trying to put words to what it is I think I am doing in this course.

I believe my Intention Mandala I created for 2012 is the driving force for me arriving at this learning place at this time in my life. The visual, I may have shared before, is our planet Earth, surrounded by black space, with a burning fire  exploding in the center. My intention is to better understand how “all that is, is ONE.

Four of the conditions I commit to living so as to manifest my desires listed on the circumference of my mandala are: I will do my work, I will practice the Presence, I will be faithful to the quiet, and I will love my neighbor.

While the breadth and scope of this course are mighty expansive and challenging just to keep up with, I early-on notice that all of those four commitments are wrapped into this work.  I am in awe of the connections I am making and even the loose threads which may just dangle a bit before I tie them into the pattern as a whole.

So another first thing Barbara insists is fundamental for us students is to tie our own story into the BIG story of creation — Indeed, she says we ARE part of the big story of creation — we are not separate from it.

So who doesn’t like to write stories, if not Napkinwriter. In the story of creation, Marx Hubbard created a 30 minute video outlining our beginnings from fourteen and one-half billion years ago, the firey outer big bang, and the creation of our four billion year old Earth, and the benchmarks of life appearing on this planet.

Along with that comes the historical presence of humankind, who still today, bear traces of the original atoms and molecules  of original creation. We are made of the very same awesome power as the star, from a source and power of all that is.

I feel like the image of the fetus baby in the Universe. I feel like continuing to learn about Conscious Evolution in this medium will or already has produced an internal big bang in me.

For Marx Hubbard has the company of many experts in the fields of science, spirituality and social leadership who contend that, at this time of life on planet Earth, the speed of technological creativity and production and the easy access and rapid rate of cultural exchanges and familiarity are actually and realistically also speeding up the evolution of mankind — only the physical aspect of evolution lags behind the pace of activity in the world today.

The Mind has evolved to where it can conceive of a world that works for all. A world where wars are not caused by boundaries, greed, and “I-ism” (I made that word up). A world where people practice heart-resonance, as demonstrated a successful tool for open communication and positive problem-solving action by Heart-Math Institute.

One of the first things I’ve noticed in myself as I get into this course is that I had to become comfortable with the word, evolution. And then I had to enlarge my own self-concept to put the two words together — conscious evolution — to consider that I actually could have something to do with evolution.

And I’ve discovered I do. Conscious Evolution is a choice to be made. I can live in this choice or I can turn my back on it. My intention mandala, I found,  already pointed me toward choosing this.

Conscious Evolution to me is awareness — being awake in the world, physically, emotionally, and spiritually and wisely.

It is about a growing sense of oneness, which I may not fully understand, but which I increasingly accept in my life as Truth. Conscious Evolution is being centered in and knowing the Universal and unending power of love — in myself and in the world.

Conscious Evolution necessitates knowing the connectedness of all and a basic knowledge of where I come from in the history of the world’s evolution. Conscious Evolution is a resonance in the heart with self, Spirit and others. Compassion of self and others molds the direction of my own Conscious Evolution.

This is my beginning thread I’ve pulled from the ball of yarn. I can’t wait to see the garment that will be made from continuing to pull on this thread.

The daily shift from “my backyard view” to what I am learning and thinking about in my “new world view” will definitely make it, like Joseph’s,  a coat of many colors.

Earth Day for all of us, of course , is every day of our calendar year. At this point in cosmic history, as we know it, there is no “Planet B” on which we can be born into and live our lives upon.

Earth is our point of reference. It truly is Mother for it nourishes, supports, and sustains our very breath and life on a moment to moment basis. More and more, we are being asked as a collective group of responsible beings, are we doing the same for Mother Earth.

Do we nourish the physical realms upon which we live, visit and explore? Does the way in which we live upon this Earth support her rather than damage her? And do we use the information available to guide the Earth to a sustainable future by how we leave our carbon prints upon the Earth and truly respect the Truth that we have a responsibility to the future generations of the world’s families?

In his book, Mago’s Dream, Communing with the Earth’s Soul, author and world-renowned peace activist and spiritual leader, Ilchi Lee, says “the following should be the first words spoken to a newborn: ‘ Welcome to the Earth. You are now an Earth-Human, whose life roots are buried deep inside the heart of the Earth.’

He continues to say this should be the very first thing that a baby learns. It should also be the first message the human brain receives.

It is the highest enlightenment there is; to know that you have come to Earth and that you are now an Earth-Human. Lee co-hosted the first Humanity Conference in June 2001, held in Seoul, Korea, to explore the concrete influence that spirituality can have on our current political, economic and cultural makeup.

He says that the moment we become aware of the Earth, we will be awakened to cosmic awareness.  Earth, he feels, provides us with a more concrete target for the path of our consciousness evolution. “Furthermore if we make an effort to engage in conscious evolution of our awareness, we will realize that we are One with the cosmos, at the very moment we realize we are One with the Earth.

A human being can elevate his/her consciousness enough to feel the entirety of the Earth in his or her heart, and to realize the Oneness that connects all of life in a web of live, pulsating energy.

“That human being,” writes Lee, “will then look at the Earth and all life as ‘home’ and with the love and protectiveness that home generates.” This is transformational. It is the amazing power of enlightenment.

It comes down to our own individual choices to become aware of the cosmic vastness of our consciousness, or not.

I have made the choice to grow in my personal understanding of cosmic consciousness in the areas of science, spirituality, and social action.

I have joined the ACE (Agents of Conscious Evolution) course to evolve personally and collectively with persons around the globe to prepare for a new birth of Earth consciousness to be celebrated by millions of people on December 22, 2012.

Yes, on the day AFTER the Mayan calendar ends, Barbara Marx Hubbard, is preparing to have a world-wide party of Earth-Humans who believe they can and will make a difference in actually raising the consciousness of the planet Earth and its inhabitants.

A difference in communication; a heightening and strengthening of worthy, sustainable values; an adherence to a core belief that the Earth can serve all the needs of its populations; a growing understanding of what heart-t0-heart coherence can mean to the uplifting of the planet; getting a real discussion going among the leaders of peace, science, religions, and social activists about what can work in co-creating new models of leadership and co-existence on the planet.

And all these mighty goals and perhaps lofty ideals are supported by a growing acceptance of larger amounts of quiet time in our personal lives for communing with the One, the Holy, the Divine, the Un-nameable, actually God to many, Budda to others; and in the opening up of regular, sacred, even scheduled time in the quiet, which is part of what  Hubbard calls  our  Emergence, she believes we will come to find we will be actually communing, uniting, and becoming that Holy Divine Part of ourselves, which she terms as Essence.

From there, with global acclimation, persons go out into their days, more divinely led and act in our world, on behalf of the good of the Earth, from this pure place within, recognized as Essence — and we do not have the end of the Earth.

Perhaps, the end of the Earth as we know it now,……and the beginning of the New Earth, rich with potential and possibilities of compassionate and passionate co-creation of good, and more good, and more and more good.

Isn’t that a very happy Earth day?

Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson tells us what astonishes him most about our universe: that the atoms comprising our bodies are literally made of star-dust. “So that when I look up at the night sky and I know that yes, we are part of this universe, we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the universe is in us,” he says. “There is a level of connectivity” – which is what most of us want in life: to feel connected, relevant.

I am beginning to study a 12 week on-line study with Barbara Marx Hubbard’s The Shift organization called ACE Training: Agents of Conscious Evolution  –  so all things from the individual body cells that comprise my own and others bodies to the ever-inspiring act of star-gazing in the heavens is of great interest and genuine curiosity to me at this time.

Wrapped up in all of this is a desire to BE the Change I wish to see in the world, because I know we can do better, or put more succinctly, I can CONTINUE to do better in being a compassionate, caring, learning and evolving human, and touch the loved ones, friends and strangers I meet along the way with these qualities.

Intuitive Message for the Libra Full Moon: Two Halves of a Whole

I or We, the individual or the other, freedom or community…which direction shall we choose in our own lives, in the life of our country, in the life of our world? Are these truly in opposition to one other, mutually exclusive, one more desirable than the other? Are human beings born to pursue their self interest, to compete with one another, to succeed at another’s expense as each an island unto themselves? Or are human beings born with empathy for others, seeking to cooperate with others, succeeding best by contributing to and within groups and communities?

Aries, the sign of the Sun at this Full Moon, symbolizes the individual/the “I am”, while Libra, the Moon’s sign, represents the other/we together. As astrological archetypes Aries is the first sign, the beginning, the sign of spring when life is first appearing, seeking to live; Libra is the sign of fall, the sign of harvest when life is full and rich. Aries is immature as it seeks to know itself, while Libra is mature as it knows itself to be equal to – and complete within – partnership, relationship with others. As opposite signs Aries and Libra are mirrors of human development, of human needs, of human achievement tied together as two halves of a whole human being. They are not mutually exclusive. They are Yin and Yang, each needing the other.

As we enter another Aries spring, buoyed by transiting Uranus in Aries(an 85 year cycle), revolutions, uprisings and recalls are spreading across the world and beginning to bear fruit. Aung San Suu Kyi is free, soon to take office. Egypt has begun elections, Libya is determining its own fate, and the people of Syria and Bahrain continue to fight for their freedom. Recalls in Wisconsin will soon decide the power of the people’s movement there, and the Occupy movement has spread worldwide. In other countries there have been setbacks and failures as more autocratic governments have deposed popularly elected officials.

In the second Aries spring of this 21st century Arian revolutionary moment, the movement for human dignity is still new, immature, seeking its way. The people of the world are standing up and fearlessly demanding their Arian dignity, their individual voices; they are gathering together, working together, speaking together, working cooperatively to create a world in which Libran values of fairness can benefit the whole, the community. The cry is for dignity but also fairness and justice; for both Aries and Libra. Only in an equal world, the world of Libra, can the individual be free. Only in a world that respects individual human dignity can loving relationships survive and thrive, evoking the balance of Aries and Libra.

In the ancient wisdom teachings, the Full Moon of Aries/Libra is believed to be the Festival of the Risen Christ, the avatar of love/wisdom. It is the time to look within to examine the truth of who we are. To consider how to develop true dignity as a caring, compassionate, confident self, pursuing individual growth and destiny in cooperation with all the other human beings on this planet – who are equally valuable individuals with their own dignity and destiny. We are not here alone. We are in this world together. We are here to be both ourselves and a part of the human family, both Aries and Libra.

# 2- Great insight and advice from Guy Finley on letting go of suffering…

Key Lesson: Here’s the real reason why talking to yourself about what you resent in someone, or otherwise resist about some event is so exhausting: it’s very hard work to make something (so big) out of what really amounts to nothing.

STEP BACK FROM SUFFERING FEELINGS

There is a kind of “evil spell” hanging over each of us, and our world as well. In fact, part of this global spell is our denial of its existence. It is called suffering. Everyone does it — believing that their suffering somehow benefits them. That’s how the spell works. Why else would anyone punish themself with unhappy feelings unless they had been tricked into somehow perceiving self-hurt as self-help?

Truth wants you to know that it isnever in your best interest to unconsciously suffer, no matter how inwardly convincing it may feel to you that you will be betraying yourself or someone else if you don’t. The only way that any suffering feeling can prove to you that you need it is to hypnotize you with a flood of itself. Step back from yourself. Learn instead to listen to the quiet stream of higher insight that runs softly through your true nature. It sees through sorrow. Let it show you that suffering proves nothing. If you want to receive some special help for helping yourself escape yourself, always remember this key question: “If I am doing what I want to do, then how come it hurts me to do it?” The truth guarantees you will stop doing what you don’t want to do once you knowwhat you have been doing against yourself.

Here are seven powerful ways to snap the spell of suffering. As you read over each one, think about how you can use its insight the next time you are about to be washed away by any flood of painful thoughts or feelings. Welcome their higher influence into your life.

1. Suffering doesn’t prove that you know what it means to care about yourself or others. What it does prove is you haven’t seen through your own ideas about caring or you wouldn’t be so careless with yourself.
2. Suffering doesn’t prove that you are right. What it does prove is you don’t really know right from wrong or you wouldn’t take your position of pain as your proof of point.
3. Suffering doesn’t prove that you are responsible. What it does prove is you have abandoned true self-responsibility or you wouldn’t treat yourself so badly.
4. Suffering doesn’t prove that you are important. What it does prove is you would rather feel like a “someone” who is miserable than be a “no one” who is free and quietly happy.
5. Suffering doesn’t prove that you are all alone in life. What it does prove is you prefer the company of unfriendly thoughts and feelings whose very nature is to isolate you from everything good.
6. Suffering doesn’t prove that the world is against you. What it does prove is you have taken sides with that which is against everything — including yourself.
7. Suffering doesn’t prove that someone else is wrong. What it does prove is you will go to any lengths, including self-destruction, to prove that you are right.

There is no doubt that many of us are feeling the effects of change as we enter 2012.  It ‘s almost as if we are on a roller coaster and we are hanging on tightly as we shift through the turbulent motion of going uphill and then moving at the speed of light as we descend.  It is most definitely an interesting time on our planet.

I remember my beautiful mother Ariel, who doubled in my life as one of my greatest spiritual teachers, sharing with me that there would be time of intense stress that would bring up people’s fears.  She further shared that this would be the moment when we would need to be extremely practiced at being able to stay connected to who we truly are, which is simply love.  My mother would continuously share with me that part of our mission on the planet is to completely identify with love not fear, to choose embracing an open heart and not ego.

I understand all too well that this is easier said than done.  My mother understood that as well.  Perhaps that is why in 1995 we created our family business, Mishka Productions.  Ariel was a firm believer in spiritual education and wanted to do something to help shift and uplift the consciousness of the planet.  She and I embarked on developing workshops and conferences with teachers who embraced like-minded concepts.

For many years, we created one event a month and then in 2002, she and I created an event that to this day brings people from all over the world to participate.  We decided to bring together over 20 of the country’s top bestselling authors and most sought after spiritual teachers to present workshops and keynote lectures for an entire four days.  When we started the event we had no idea the magnificence in what we were creating.
