The "Barefoot Bandit" Has Been Suspected Of Nearly 75 Crimes

Colton Harris-Moore, who became known as the “Barefoot Bandit” for stealing planes, cars, and numerous other items without wearing any shoes, has been sentenced to 6 and-a-half years by a federal judge.  The sentence will run concurrently with the 7 years he received last month for state crimes.

Harris-Moore appeared regretful and contemplative in court, as he said, “What I did could be called daring, but it is no stretch of the imagination to say that am lucky to be alive… absolutely lucky,” and added, “I should have died  years ago.”  He seemed boastful of his crimes in e-mails from several years ago, but jail has apparently changed his mind.
