Exceptioneel mooi of afschuwelijk !

Ieder jaar brengt Rolex nieuwe of vernieuwde modellen uit. Zo werden er dit jaar in Baselworld twee nieuwe modellen toegevoegd aan de Cosmograph Daytona. Wij van Diamonds & Watches vinden deze twee horloges exceptioneel mooi en hebben een paar specificaties op een rijtje gezet voor u. Of de horloges binnen afzienbare tijd te leveren zijn en wat zij exact kosten is ons nog niet bekend. Bent u geïnteresseerd in een van deze modellen of staat u merk er niet bij, laat het ons even weten en wij gaan op zoek voor u.

Specificaties : Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 2009.

Horlogekast : Gepolijst 18 karaat wit goud met een diameter van 40 mm. Allebei de modellen hebben een verschillende zetting van de diamanten. Het ene horlogemodel heeft een volledige bezetting van kleine briljanten op de bezel en wijzerplaat. Arabische blauwe nummering op de wijzerplaat. Het tweede model heeft een bezetting van kleine briljanten in drie rijen op de horlogekast. Verder heeft dit horloge een bezetting van diamanten en robijnen in emerald vorm op de bezel. De wijzerplaat is volledig bezet met briljanten en zwarte Romeinse cijfers.

Uurwerk : De nieuwe Daytona’s hebben een caliber 413o automatisch chronograaf uurwerk. Dit uurwerk heeft 290 onderdelen en 44 juweeltjes. Het uurwerk heeft een gangreserve van 72 uur en is COSC gecertificeerd. Het horloge is tot 30 meter water resistent.

Horlogeband : De horloges worden standaard geleverd met een witte leren horlogeband en deployant sluiting.

When TAG Heuer introduced its Monaco V4 concept watch at Baselworld 2004, fans of the brand and watch industry observers in general were alight with fascination. 

Here was the world’s very first mechanical watch with a mechanism animated not by wheels and pinions, but by belt drives and ball bearings in the manner of a car engine. The many challenges represented by bringing such a revolutionary movement to production reality have occupied TAG Heuer engineers and watchmakers in the ensuing years.

Japanese Studio, WOW produced the main movie for Citizen’s booth at the week long BASELWORLD 2009 event [The World Watch and Jewellery Show March 26 to April 2, 2009.] ’Infinite Possibilities’ was the theme of the film – for Eco-Drive, Citizen’s new model.

Confirming for the second time in three years what fans have known all along, Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen has claimed the top spot in the 2009 Luxury Brand Status Index Survey with an overall score of 7.87 out of 10 possible points. In the three years the survey has been conducted, IWC has twice risen to the top, surpassing such prestigious competitors as Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Rolex.

The venerable Swiss watchmaking house of Vacheron Constantin has presented new variations of its distinguished Overseas Automatic and Overseas Chronograph watches. These models in stainless steel and titanium use the elegant sobriety of grey to ideally emphasize the sophistication inherent in the Overseas design.

Both Overseas watch models feature 42mm stainless steel cases whose form is closely based upon the distinctive Vacheron Constantin 222 watch from 1977. The bezel, a continuation of the Maltese Cross symbol that is the hallmark of the brand, is wrought from titanium and provides a subtle but pleasing contrast against the finely brushed steel. Slate colored dials present the familiar baton hands and wedge-shaped hour markers, all of which display ample luminous material for unquestioned legibility in low-light conditions.

The Chronoswiss Timemaster watch has proven its metle in extreme adventures undertaken on sea and land by skipper Norbert Sedlacek and Olympic bobsledder and luger Susi Erdmann.

On March 15th, 2009, Norbert Sedlacek completed his sailing journey around the globe as part of the “Vendee Globe” race conducted from Les Sables d’Olonne off the French Atlantic coast. For the 126 days, 5 hours, 31minutes and 56 seconds of his journey, Sedlacek relied upon the Chronoswiss Chronomaster Timemaster 24 timepiece as part of his essential timekeeping equipment.

Let me get this straight? For years Tiffany & Co. have been selling watches with their name on it. I don’t just mean the watches that they append their name on, but their own watches. Now Tiffany & Co. Ltd. is claiming that they just launched something new with Tiffany Watch Co. Ltd. What about the existing watch brand? This leaves me scratching my head. They can of course claim that under the new Swatch Group ownership, their watch division is “under new management.” Maybe that is what they mean. Just to clarify, Swatch now owns the watch making division of Tiffany & Co., not all of Tiffany & Co.

Today was the last day for Team Ace at the BaselWorld 2009 show. We dedicated this day to finding new and sparkling jewelry. There are so many manufacturers present that you need a detailed plan to navigate through all the halls so   we always make a plan beforehand and run like hell through the halls! This time we were  in such a rush, that we forgot to take pictures. Sorry!

We started our day in Hall 2 at the booth of  our  friends of Noor! They have created many new elegant items in pink gold, white gold with diamonds and/or gemstones:
